The worst experience I've had at a dentist office. Despite the condition of a individual's teeth, you would assume the dentist and their staff should treat everyone that comes in their office with respect, especially if we are giving you our hard earned money. If you have any issues with your teeth I would not recommend this place. I over heard the Dr. making fun of my teeth with a dental hygienist, she obviously did not think I over heard her, I DID! Doctor Aggarwal made a polite introduction and asked about my history without judgement, she reviewed the scans and did a painless exam of my teeth and gums. She provided clear feedback on what I needed done, and her team provided me a plan after reviewing my insurance. I loved Dr. Urihk, but I wasn't as impressed with the new owner, especially during covid, when there was posted in the office a purely ridiculous (meant to be a real advisory) paper that listed "ways to beat covid at home". On this long, medically unsound, list were things like "eat soft food" "drink warm liquids" and "wear a mask, even when in your home alone". After that, as a registered nurse, and a person with the ability to take information and reason it against truth, I was done. My family loved the office staff, but the policy of posting such stupid advice was the the end for our family. read more

Didnt feel comfortable here. Staff was very friendly but felt they were just trying to get me to come back and upsell. They tried to get pre authorization from my insurance for all this work they said I needed, it was all denied (and i have good insurance ), insurance indicated there wasnt enough proof on their write up that I needed all that work so they denied it. I had only gone in for a cleanup since I hadn't been for a few years, I didnt have any issues so I was surprised to hear that I needed all that work. Anyhow. I've been here 3 times. Very close and convenient for me. Staff is friendly and very efficient. I love the ambiance because I hate going to the dentist. Music they play helps me to not focus on the drilling noises I hate hearing! Lol. I don't feel pressured to get stuff done. I don't even know where to start. For some, going to the dentist can be a frightening experience if you are looking for an office to treat you with respect and compassion this is not the place. Here is a break down of my experience and the treatment my children received... I had new insurance through my employer and was looking online to find a dental practice in my city, to my surprise I was able to locate this office. My insurance advised that I need to call and see they were accepting new patients and when I called the office Penny answered, the tone of her voice was that she was immediately annoyed that I was calling in and WOW having a few questions probably ruined this lady's day. I took it with a grain of salt and thought maybe she is not having a good day and plus the reviews were good on yelp?? The first appointment was for my son he had impacting wisdom teeth and need some additional major work, they made us feel as if never in all their career have they seen anyone who needed this work. It was a little embarrassing it's as if they make it a point to humiliate you to teach you a lesson. And good ol Penny had to go through the charges with us and the dentist comes over her shoulder just shaking her head in disapproval. Next appointment is for my daughter, she needed a full check up as a new patient. The assistant first took only side xrays, none of the front top and bottom teeth which kind of confused me. When I asked why they didn't take full xrays? The assistant didn't have an answer for me and I could hear them going back and forth in the back, then she came back out for my daughter to pull her back in for the rest of the xrays. My daughter had a good amount of cavities that needed attention and a root canal, and again Holy Moley I don't think they have EVER seen the need for this type of treatment. (I remember a lady walking in who spoke Spanish and I thought to myself this poor lady they are going to shame her) Today my daughter had her appointment to take care of the cavity fillings on the top front teeth and I called ahead of time to confirm and make sure they knew which teeth I could afford to pay the additional fees on for the better enamel so it would match her tooth color. They really push the upsell it was going to be almost $700 out of pocket. Dr. Charu and Wonda were the ones who treated my daughter and once my husband got home with our daughter she was in tears and said they were very rough with her and aggressively lifted up her lip and shoved the needle to start the numbing process. When they were done one of them walked my daughter to the front and looked at my husband and said "I guess we will see you back again" and walked away. The front desk has a young lady named Marisol who seemed to only be the friendly voice and face there. If you have serious dental needs you will be shamed if you come here, If you have perfect teeth you will be welcomed with open arms. I would not recommend this office to my family and friends and will not bring my children back. My advice to this office is never judge a patient by their dental needs, you do not know their story and the hardships they may have experienced over the years. Someone who is able to go in and be treated for their dental issues feel so much relief and comfort when they are in good hands. read more

Dr. Charu is the best! I had a horrible experience not with one but with two dentists out in the valley who not only messed up my teeth but also overcharged me. I came to Dr. Charu after she was recommended to me and although I was skeptical at first given my bad experiences with other offices, I am glad I made the drive to Castaic to see her. She is very knowledgeable and explains everything thoroughly. What's more is that she is honest and won't try to tack on unnecessary services if they're not needed. I don't even know where to start with Dr. Charu. Not only is she a very knowledgeable and experienced dentist but she is also very caring and the most compassionate medical professional I have ever been under the care of. Dr. Charu has literally saved me on numerous occasions. Every single time I have been in pain, she has been there to rescue me. I started going to Dr. Charu about 4 years ago. The first time I went to Dr. Charu was for a root canal emergency. I was in such excruciating pain that I couldn't even sleep. I would wake up in the middle of the night with a throbbing pain. Even worse, I couldn't eat and furthermore I was going on an all-inclusive vacation the next day. A co-worker referred me to Dr. Charu and swore by her professionalism. I called the dentist office late that afternoon and although they were fully booked, due to the nature of my situation, Dr. Charu made an exception and accepted a late same-day appointment from a new patient. I arrived a little after 5 pm and Dr. Charu was quick to diagnose my root canal. She and her dental assistant worked tirelessly and finished the root canal at about 7:30 pm or so. She called in my prescription and was able to get the pain-killers before the pharmacy closed. The next day I was on a flight for my vacation. Amazingly, the pain was completely gone and I was able to enjoy my all you can eat all-inclusive vacation. What was even more touching is that while I was on vacation Dr. Charu personally called me more than once to follow-up and ensure that I was okay. There are many other similar situations that she has come through for me. Every single time, I have walked away a completely satisfied customer. What I can assure anyone that needs a new dentist is that you will not be disappointed in Dr. Charu and her entire medical staff. It's a family-oriented business where they make you feel at home and everyone there knows your name. I rate Dr. Charu an equivocal 5 out of 5 stars! read more

Had my deep cleaning today and it was my first time experience. Staff was great. The procedure was very smooth with the Dental Hygienist. Dr. Aggarwal was very informative and professional. I have been treated over 30 years by many dentists but it was the gentle demeanor of Dr. Aggarwal that was most enticing. In addition, the clinic was clean and compliant with Covid requirements. This is by far the worst dentist ever. I had a terrible experience with the placement, treatment and after care of a new crown. So terrible that I still suffer from daily headaches because of their negligence. I already found another dentist who fixed whatever went wrong but the pain is not over yet unfortunately. Furthermore this place is old and needs an urgent update and painting. They're equipment is old and rusted. They make x-rays without giving you a protective skirt etc... It's like going to the dentist in 1976. Don't go there, ever! read more

I'm very pleased to call Dr Charu my dentist. She did a great job on some major crown work for me in 2015. Insurance forced us elsewhere for a few years discovering just how poor the quality is in SCV. I came back to Dr Charu last month and underwent my first root canal in half a century. She was amazingly gentle and precise. I kept waiting for the agonies of a root canal everyone complains about. Not here. And now a week later I feel great. I can eat and drink like a normal human being again. The pain wasn't even bad afterwards, just a little sore for a couple days. Totally manageable. If you're looking for quality work with quality care, this is the place to go. I can't say enough about how kind and gentle Dr Charu is. She put me at ease from the initial diagnosis to completion. Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. My family and I have been going there for several years for our cleanings, They have a very friendly staff, clean office and Dr Aggarwal is awesome. I had a crown come lose over the weekend and I left a message to hopefully get in asap. They called me first thing Monday morning to schedule me an appt within the hour. Dr Aggarwal and her team took great care of my crown and tooth, we had to do some dental work and it was absolutely pain free. I was out of the office within an hour and feel great. I know that finding a trusted dentist can be hard to find but If you want great quality work and obviously based on your insurance, great rates, I highly recommend Castaic dental office for your dental needs. read more

Let me start by saying I really don't like going to the dentist due to a poor experience I had once at a location in the San Fernando valley. The staff at Castaic dental center were awesome, they followed all Covid guidelines, and once they started on my procedure which they made sure it was pain free. I had my first and only cavity filled here. A few days later, I was in so much pain because my nerve responded negatively - a very common situation. Both doctors were so caring and compassionate. They have taken every method possible to calm the pain and will refer me to a specialist if any more work is needed. They are NOT out for your money and truly care about their patients.
