My wife and I had negative experience with two dentists who work there. it seems like they try to get most expensive work done first as soon as they find out that a patient has insurance that covers their proposed treatment/work. My wife was in pain. There were couple teeth that had been bothering her. She has scheduled an appointment and told clinic representative about main reason why she came there. The communication has been lost somehow while she had to get multiple teeth images since she was a new patient. As soon as they were finished, they checked her teeth, determined which were good and which needed feelings and crowns and told her to come next time for treatment. Next time, instead of fixing one of the painful teeth, they did couple other teeth and prepped one tooth for crown installation. The filling felt rough and was not even polished! One of the front teeth had been damaged! The tooth she had most problems with, they did not even start working on it even though there is a visible damage with a hole in it. Crowns were their priority. Very disappointed! read more

Comfort Dental Sawmill is a scam. They lied to me about having two cavities and needing to have a tooth pulled due to a root canal infection. Their suggested alternative to pulling that tooth was to pull THREE perfectly healthy teeth in order to put in a bridge. I got a second opinion from an endodontist and he told me that while I did have a root canal infection like Comfort Dental said, it was totally unnecessary to pull the tooth. He was able to fix the root canal issue while keeping the tooth and not even damaging the existing crown. He also looked at my supposed "cavities" in the x-ray and didn't see anything, so he suggested going to a different regular dentist for a second opinion. I paid out of pocket to go to my childhood dentist and they confirmed that there were no cavities and that the suggestion to pull the tooth was crazy. Came here for the first time for a check up and to find a new dentist in the area. Very uncomfortable setting, you can see other patients having work done in the recliner next to you... they also told me I had 6 cavities. I planned to schedule filings but never got around to it and when my next check up came I decided to go to another dentist in Dublin. A much more professional setting and they told me my teeth look fine and I have 0 cavities... they also found it odd that comfort dental had taken over 18 x rays during my last check up... these guys milked my insurance and tried to milk me. To give some background info - I typically hate going to the dentist. However, I loved my experience here at Comfort Dental. The Dr who helped me was super kind and patient. I have a smaller mouth so they were patient with me and kept checking in with me when they were working on my fillings. They got me scheduled quickly and even cleaned my retainer for me. Everyone was so kind and Dr explained things clearly and told me what I can do to take better care of my teeth, which was super helpful to my everyday routine. read more

Dentistry is a difficult service to rate. Seldom do people "enjoy" going to the dentist, even in the best of circumstances. Vulnerability and discomfort are often not people's ideal state. That being said, this office was relatively decent. Dr. Jason seems to be a good practitioner, along with most of the office and hygienist staff. There are three hygienists that stand out as being exceptional. They were gentle with my younger children and had them laughing and smiling when they left. They made them very comfortable and were warm and personable. That being said, there's always that ONE that can ruin an overall good experience, which I'll go into more detail about later. For my husband and myself there was minimal discomfort at the first appointment with the exception of some awkward x-rays. The x-ray tech that took mine was super nice. He did everything possible to explain what he was doing before shoving little plastic pieces in my mouth, which I appreciated. However for my husband's deep cleaning there was significantly more bleeding than the two of us were anticipating. The amount of blood post deep cleaning would likely not have been as alarming had he been warned that his gums would bleed to that extent for several days after the procedure. It seems ok now, however, we felt rather uninformed. My younger children all had great check-ups, which says a lot for younger children in terms of feeling comfortable, however, my oldest son had a horrible experience here. Admittedly, he has a small mouth and a sensitive gag reflex, but from the hygienist doing the work on him, there seemed to be almost no compassion, empathy or sympathy. In fact, she seemed annoyed and inconvenienced that he was complaining that she was hurting him. He's a child. First, he was sitting at an angle that put his chin close to his chest, and she kept telling him to tilt his head up, which meant he was arching his neck and back the whole time. This isn't a very natural or comfortable position and meant that he was straining to hold his head up at the angle she wanted. I suggested that they stop to let him move up in the chair so he did not have to hold his head up like that. If he'd moved up like I'd suggested, his head would naturally fall off the top of the headrest to the angle they needed, not to mention it would help this poor kid be able to relax. She responded that he was "fine"... He didn't look fine to me. Second, the entire time, this child was clenching his fingers in distress because they were forcing his mouth open wider than physically reasonable. He truly tried to tough it out and not complain, but it looked painful even from my angle. By the look on his face and the tears streaming out of the corners of his eyes, it was. I asked them at least twice to give him a break, which neither request was acknowledged. Either they didn't hear me (which is possible because of the micro-vacuum they had in his mouth) or they weren't interested in it being comfortable for him, they just wanted it done. I'm hoping it is the first, because the second would be unacceptable. Now, I certainly understand the need to do the job, however, I would vehemently argue that it should NOT (I repeat, N-O-T) be at the expense of the patient's comfort, especially a child. Not to that extent anyway. My son ended up getting sick as soon as we got to our vehicle, and again after we got home. I was originally happy with this office until the experience with my oldest son. Now, I'm on the fence about whether the kids and I will return. My husband seems satisfied (which is the reason for the three stars), however, after seeing what my son went through (arguably unnecessarily), I'm moderately unimpressed at the moment. We'll see how my daughter's appointment goes, and then I'll make a determination (and update my rating). read more

What a great practice! Having always had anxiety about going to the dentist, it was a challenge to see someone new. From the time I walked in the door until the time I checked out, I felt at ease and like they truly cared. The staff is friendly, efficient and professional. Upon my first visit, they were incredibly thorough with my exam and did an excellent cleaning! They took so many x-rays so I know they didn't miss a thing! I'm a big baby when it comes to the dentist and it had been about a year since I had been to my old one and I was very unhappy with their service and the way they treated customers so I found Comfort Dental and decided to give them a try. I was greeted right away when I arrived and it was prompt to get back to the dr. I got some X-rays and let them know I thought I had a cavity.. I in fact did have a cavity. They took care of it right there for me instead of having me come back like my last dentist. It was super quick and painless. I was in and out in an hour and that never happens. Dr. Jason Balingcongam is the best. They call him Dr. Jason. I am sadly an adult who is so afraid of the dentist but he makes me feel very comfortable and calm. He is gentle and very down-to-earth and actually cares. They accept all types of insurance, and if you do not have insurance the prices are the best I have seen. If you cannot afford certain things they do not push it on you and they do the best for you that they can within your budget. No judgement. I'm just super impressed. I have been a patient for over five years. DR Munn used to be a decent dentist. However the past year he is always in a hurry. He doesn't spend any more time than required with patient. Last visit I had in October he never even examined an infection I had in my gums, he just sent me on my way with a prescription for antibiotics. Two days later I was in severe pain. It was a Friday and Dr. Munn said he couldn't see me. With it being the weekend I ended up having to go to the ER to get pain medicine for the infection I had going on. To make matters worse was the entire cause of the infection was a botched root canal/crown done by Dr Munn. When I told the office this they tried to pass me the on to the OSU medical clinic. They claimed nothing they could do. Leaving me in pain with a botched procedure seems like an honest dentist would have helped a loyal patient instead of passing his mistake off on someone else. I wouldn't recommend Dr Munn to any patient seeking a professional. read more

The only reason for 1 star is so I can start. I just went here for the first time. I will never....ever...return and told them so. And here's why: I had a full mouth X-rays which was all manual no biggie. The star will go to the assistant who was kind. The dentist however is cause for alarm !! He was rude, not friendly , didn't seem to want to explain much. He acted as though I was not....in the least important. Now, the real bad. He stated my front tooth was cracked all the way across. Not !!! How do I know ??? I've looked at it many times at home. The X-rays prove there's no cracks at all !!! Everyone should always review and request to review all X-rays with your dentist. After this dentist stated my tooth was cracked I personally looked over X-rays. No crack. Hmmm. Then, they told me for a cleaning I had to have my gums measured. Which requires another appointment separate from cleaning appointment. That is not necessary unless I had chemotherapy ect to make my gums shrink. They'll do anything obviously to get to your pocket and insurance pocket. It's also helpful if you've ever taken dental classes to be already informed, wink. Please see my review for Dover dental for the end of my story. That dentist, Dr. Sherman has been a dentist for 38 yrs. I freaked about their reviews. I also let them know what I read when I arrived . They said they knew and assured it was not so. Even though I'm being totally honest maybe others aren't . I finally got up the courage and went terrified and shaking to see Dr. Munn at Comfort Dental and oh my goodness I couldn't have asked for a better experience. His assistant and he were absolutely wonderful and so accommodating I had my tooth prepped for a crown and realized within 5 minutes I should have just come and seen him forever ago! I literally did not feel a thing he was so gentle! I honestly cannot recommend this office enough! If I could give them a zero star. They would have it from me. Dr Malhi is the only person who knows what he is doing in that whole office. The desk people have no idea what they are doing and billed the wrong ins over 2 years ago. When I sent them the right ins card they couldn't find it and after sending it over to them several times they told me I owed money that I didn't owe if they would have billed the right ins but instead they never did any of that or kept notes on my account at all and act like they have no clue what's going on because clearly they don't. Then someone calls me today saying they are going to send me to a debt collector because of this offices mistake. And 6 months ago one of the staff members said that this was written off by dr malhi but of course no one noted that on the account either or followed up with until 2 years later telling me that I'm responsible for my ins and knowing all this stuff that a dentist office should keep track of theirselves. I visited to have a routine cleaning. I asked the Dentist about a filling that may need to be replaced and he advised me that it would be a root canal without doing much of an inspection at all. I'm not sure if he is that good to know that the filling could not be replaced or if he just didn't care to do any real dentistry work. The dentist did not check the hygenist's work afterwords and the the cleaning was not without some discomfort. These people may or may not be good at what they do, but it did not feel like a professional experience. read more

Comfort Dental and it's staff are good at what they do. Have been coming here since I was 13 years old and haven't changed since. The dental hygienists are so friendly and make someone like me who doesn't really like the dentist a much more enjoyable experience. I also got my braces from comfort dental and they did amazing!! Teeth are straight and healthy. They also work with government medical insurance which is very hard to find. 10/10 recommend comfort dental. read more
