Dr Kesler showed me my x rays and fixed what was needed quickly without trying to sell me teeth whitening, caps, etc.

Beware of this dentist group!! My first visit they told me I have FIVE cavities, which was strange…read morebecause I never drink sugary beverages or eat sweets, I use a mechanical toothbrush and floss after each meal, I use a mouth guard at night, I get regular cleanings every 6 months, and generally have excellent dental hygiene. I got a second opinion from another dentist, who said my teeth were perfect. Well, I got the fillings anyways just to be safe (over $600 after insurance) Six months later, on my next visit, they had another dentist look at my teeth, and this time she said I needed 6 more fillings!! Again I got a second opinion, and once again, they said I have no cavities! I should have noticed the red flags when they tried to sell me everything right away, from wisdom tooth removal (mine are completely perfect from enamel to bone) to special toothpastes to mouth guards (I told them repeatedly I have one already). Avoid these guys they act like a shady mechanic trying to sell repairs that you don't need

She is a working mom who understands life can get in the way, so she is very good about working with others and their schedules, the care they need to help improve their overall dental health and truly just wants to take care of her patients. Reading the other reviews and working in the medical field, I think it's important for others to understand that at times things can happen at any office with any type of doctor/procedure. I've heard and spoken to others who have gone to Dr. Zarick for their dental care and are very happy not just with their results, but with the staff and her as well. Great dentist and practice!

I want to start this review by saying that the dental staff is EXCELLENT, the dentist and the…read moreassistants are amazing! The receptionist is a piece of work. I don't understand how they have someone like that working there. I had a dental plan that was terminated, she called to give me a "friendly reminder" that I had an appointment and that my dental coverage was terminated. I wasn't aware so I said I would call and investigate. I called, I didn't have my plan number because I'm at work so I couldn't verify but I remembered that my main health insurance also covers DENTAL. So I call the office back and I relay info to receptionist, she tells me that they don't typically cover dental only emergencies. I said can you just check and she says and does everything to avoid agreeing to check. She wanted the number in back of the card for Dental and at first I didn't see it. She says it doesn't cover it. We have a back and forth and all of these exchanges with a very condescending tone. I of course, am giving her the condescending treatment back and asking to please double check and she says stop yelling at me or I'm going to hang up! I wasn't yelling but I sure as heck was using the same condescending attitude she was giving me! She hung up. I called back because I found the number on the card and she answers and she says I was interrupting and that my insurance is very difficult to deal with and that they only cover emergencies. I said please just check, isn't that part of your employment duties? Just check. She says they're a difficult insurance company to deal with and they probably don't cover it. So she's just assuming a lot! We get into another heated exchange and she hangs up on me again. I call back and she doesn't answer the phone and then on the 4th try her colleague answers. I tell the colleague what is going on and reception gets back on the phone I tell her I found the number to please call and check, her tone is different now and goes I'll check and call you back. I take matters into my own hands and call as well. Guess what, they COVER DENTAL and not just emergencies and this dental office is in network! I was so upset because if I didn't persist and also take matters into my own hands I would have just assumed what she was saying was 100% truth. I am a patient, insurances are already working against us and somehow this receptionist wanted to make this experience even worse, she didn't want to do her part and check, only assumed. I called her back and told her they accepted dental claims and all that it entails. She said she called too and it does cover me. As a patient of 3 years at this office the least she could have done is just say let me double check with insurance, she's been a patient a while, couldn't hurt to verify the other insurance. Instead I get condescending tone and refusal to verify on my behalf if the insurance covers my treatment. This person needs a course in customer service, a refresher on job responsibilities and a course on situations that don't require passive aggressiveness. Being upset because I am passing on my medical insurance because I am 75% sure they cover dental and asking to double check and her telling me she knows they don't without double checking is insanity to me.
