THEY ARE SCAMMERS! I decided to give this place a try and finally get dental work done. I ignored the reviews online because I wanted give them the benefit of the doubt. My first experience getting fillings done here felt extremely rushed, the doctor seemed annoyed that the local anesthesia hurt a lot, and the place overall was very dirty. The assistants on the other hand were very nice. Regardless, I was still willing to go to my next appointment to get my other fillings done because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. To make this worst, when I went to my new dentist that opens Saturday's, to get a cleaning done, they told me my insurance would not cover it because Comfort Dental in Montebello had already billed for that service, even though I never got that done, nor was that in my treatment plan. BE WARE of this place, the reviews are not lying. I reported them right away. The office manager Angie was not upfront with me in what would get billed to my insurance. After i got the first fillings done, I had to go back right away because my fillings were way too high, I took the opportunity to ask Angie, to send me a copy of what I was supposed to get done. She told me no at first and I asked again and finally told me yes. Right away I thought that was shady. After sending two text messages days after I was at the office, she finally sent it to me. No where on the treatment plan does it say I was going to get a cleaning. Shame on these people!!!!!!! They seem "caring" at first but all they do is scam clients through their insurance. They thought I wouldn't notice but I am glad I called my insurance and made a report against them. I do not recommend anyone getting work done here. Cheap and TERRIBLE DENTISTS!!! I had first off only walked in complaining about one cavity I knew I had at the time and they set me up for a check in on my teeth. They then proceeded to claim I had 9 cavities and they needed to be removed ASAP. So we booked them to remove my fake fucking cavities that they said I had and to TOP IT OFF!!! All of my fillings were done by terrible dentist's and every appointment was a different dentist. Some of my fillings connect my teeth avoiding me to floss or get in between my teeth, maybe it's a plan to make new cavities grow so I go back. I would never ever recommend anyone to come here for anything. ANOTHER bad experience was during a filling, my anesthesia was wearing off and the stupid dentist STILL drilled in my teeth while I was kicking my feet crying!!! The front desk ladies also made excuses when we had complained about my fillings being stuck together and they were super rude and unprofessional. -100/10 service. They work with me to schedule my appointments and payments at my convenience. The office is clean and welcoming. The dental assistants are friendly and professional. The doctor a perfectionist that makes sure I'm comfortable, and that I know what he's doing. He is very careful and experienced. I went in and everyone was very nice and professional, they did an x-ray and talked to me about the price which was very reasonable. I switched to this dentist office because the previous dentist office I went to would take over two hours to see me for a simple cleaning. Well in the 16 months I was under this offices' care I not once got a cleaning! The two times I went in they insisted I get extra work done. I was looking to spend almost 2 grand. I was so confused I ended up going to a different office just to get a second opinion, I feel I couldn't trust them given the reviews. I ended up doing some work and a cleaning with the other office I got the second opinion at. The last visit, again I tried to get a cleaning. I told them I had gotten a cleaning done somewhere else and now I needed a second one 6 months later. Again, they insisted on more work, this time almost totaling to 3 grand. I was already scheduled to put braces on at an ortho office so I was not looking to spend that money. I insisted they do a cleaning and they just said there is no point when I need other work done! The woman accessed my Care Credit account and increased my credit limit so they can charge the full amount that day. I could not believe her! The cherry on top was when I realized the billing woman is seriously dumb. She switched my chart with another patient with my exact name and thought I was a 60 year old woman. She was smiling telling me I would only pay a couple of hundred out of pocket. I was hesitant because I know my insurance is not the best but I went along with it. Alas, once her mistake was obvious to her she said "oh sorry, I thought your date of birth was off but then again some people look SO young". I'm 27. No wrinkles, no grays, no kids. The office manager Joanna Palmero is a gem, she is so very helpful, she explains everything for you and she is super nice. The dentist is so kind, gentle, and so helpful and just as nice. So is the hygienist who gave me my deep cleaning who is amazing. I didn't feel a thing when she was cleaning my teeth and gums. Haven't been in since 2015 so I had some work cut out for me and them! This is the absolute best office I've been to! The doctor (Choy) works quickly and thorough! He was very friendly and reassuring I'd be ok. I was in at 2pm and out the door at 330pm what more can a patient ask for! Emily, the front desk was so kind and helpful I really appreciated her energy and positivity! Joanne, I believe had assisted the doctor during my treatment and took my X-rays. She was so sweet and helped calm my nerves (as I have anxiety when sitting in the hot seat). The office is clean and bright! I'm extremely thankful for their team! This place is a total scam. I'm sure I'm not the only person who they've tried to convince that I needed a root canal done. Don't believe me, ask all my family members and all the people that were there that day. It's seemed as they were having a special offer on root canals. Funny thing is, dentist make the most money off root canals. Coincident, I think not. The funny part was when the 300lb lady tried to give me advise on healthy life habits and proceeded to talk down to me as if I was a child. GTFOH with that non sense. Cumulatively, this is probably the worst overall dental experience I've ever had. - 2 procedures I needed to get done which would take a day to a couple weeks with any other dentist has taken 5 months here. 5 MONTHS. Sometime within those 5 months there was a change in dentist. The gentleman dentist is very kind - I'm glad I was able to finish off with him. - The woman dentist was an absolute unprofessional nightmare. She would always take her face mask off around me. The rapport between her and the rest of the staff was so cringeworthy and uncouth. I've never seen professional staff squabble, yell, back-talk, order lunch over your open mouth, before coming here. - The dentist is only in on Mondays and Wednesdays. So if you have a procedure done on Wednesday and realize something isn't right, or you're in pain, you have to wait until Monday to be seen again. - If your appointment runs too close to their lunch hour, they'll reschedule you to come back another time. This typically means the following week. - The place itself is very old and outdated. There are no rooms, just dental chairs separated by partitions, so very little privacy and very compact. - Front staff has messed up my appointments, given me attitude when I've asked questions, and I've literally been shot back with a "I WASN'T TALKING TO YOU" from one of the girls. The unprofessionalism here is truly remarkable. - I've literally waited 2 hours before being seen - and this is with an appointment. Monique the dental assistant is the only saving grace of this place. She honestly deserves a raise. I hadn't seen her for a few weeks before being done with this place, so if she's no longer there, then there is truly no reason to come here. read more

Dr. Nissan is back and a huge thank you to Dr. Nissan, the dental assistants who talked me through, JoAnn and the new front desk staff! I had some major dental trouble with a previous doctor that I had seen here in October 2021, and Dr. Nissan has come through and saved the day!! And I could not be more grateful. I have been completely pain free since he re-touched some trouble areas. He has a steady hand, and a gentle approach which I truly appreciate. I started getting anxiety due to my previous visit with that doctor, who was rough, careless and missed important details. Dr. Nissan though has always been, and is, really super thorough and careful. I don't think I will ever trust another dentist, so Dr. Nissan please don't ever go anywhere! You are much needed here. After having the worst experience ever at western dental in Montebello someone referred me to Comfort Dental. I was 6 months pregnant and was living with thee worst tooth ache ever!!! Dr. Ben explained that I needed a root canal. The staff was so amazing, helpful and sweet. The Dr. was very patient and took time to explain every single thing that was going to happen.
