Horrible hotel, would not spend a cent here. Had to stay here for a work convention and the staff was incredibly unhelpful and rude. Housekeeping does not automatically come and you have to specifically request their services. Fine. We requested housekeeping two days in a row and they never came. When we complained to the front desk they were unapologetic and apathetic about the poor service. When we requested more pillows they told us they were "sold out of pillows" for the night and the couches had weird stains and have probably never been cleaned before. read more

Recently I was travelling to Helena MT and reserved a room on my CC and 2 on choice points. I have a really bad accident just west of Billings while driving and totaled my car. While waiting for MT HP and tow truck I had my wife try call to cancel and see if they would refund us. They said they could not and I had to contact Choice 800 # on the rooms for points. I contacted 800# and they contacted the local hotel and they were rude and declined to allow us to get any refund CC or points. The 800# was gracious to help me with most of the points- that lady was great but the local hotel in Helena MT was not nice at all and refused any refund. They said I stayed there but when I questioned and offered to give accident report and other hotel where I actually did stay - they were rude. I will not ever stay there again. Would not allow us to cancel due to Canada border closure and dad unable to sit in car due to Parkinson's disease. Refused to refund as 24 hour cancellation policy even though their sister hotel in Great Falls said they would have given refund based on circumstances. Just poor customer service and non responsive to calls. Very disappointed and would not recommend. read more

We were only able to visit for one night but I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The room was very spacious. The bed was huge - it's been a while since we've slept in a king size bed and we forgot how easy it is to get lost in a bed that big! The couch is a fold out so if you are traveling with a family or another couple you can all fit in one room. The room was absolutely spotless when we checked in. The hotel also offers free wifi, a pool and fitness center. Breakfast is included in the room rate; I can't eat in the morning as I don't feel well so the hubby went down alone. He said it was one of the better breakfast buffets he's seen at a hotel. He had a waffle with eggs and sausage I also want to give a shout out to both of the women at the desk when we checked in/out. It was crazy busy when we checked in and the young woman treated each person in front of her as if he/she were the only one there. The line moved along quickly and everyone felt special. The woman in the morning was pleasant and dealt with the people in line with a big smile and professional manner. read more

They said that they had just recently made changes to the system but no one really understood it. On the last night of a two night stay the whole system in the hotel went down leaving no TV. Price was fair for the value and I would definitely consider this again if my first choice of brand was not available. Very clean and comfortably in the middle of nowhere. 5 for cleanliness and quality of room, 2 for location. Very friendly staff upon arrival, but I was previously assured earlier on the phone that there were restaurants near by. If by restaurants you mean fast food, then yes, there are many options within walking distance. Any reasonable sit down establishment appears to be about 3 miles away, pretty unwalkable for someone without a car. Maybe I'm picky, but that's a huge drawback in my book. Beds are comfortable, clean rooms, and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was decent, typical sausage/bacon, fake egg scramble, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, waffle, and cereal type breakfast. This hotel is located near a poo treatment center, but we couldn't smell anything during our stay, like some reviews. Maybe it's because we stayed there during the fall season? Who knows, just glad it wasn't smelly when we were there. It's also located near the Seibel soccer complex and has just about everything you need. read more

I've stayed at a couple of comfort suites in various parts of the country, and they're all pretty good. The staff here were super nice and helpful. The room was exactly what I was looking for. The breakfast bar was well kept, and there were several food options, but the quality there was lacking a bit. Still, compared to many places with a 'continental breakfast', they had more options here, and better food than some. Overall, it was definitely worth staying here, and I felt like the rate was decent. read more

I am very sorry to not be able to give you a good review, but that would be dishonest and misleading to future travelers. There were a number of disappointments, so I will begin upon arrival: 1. I telephoned in a reservation earlier in the day, but upon arrival the lady at the desk spent twenty minutes trying to locate the reservation we had made four hours earlier, which she was never able to do. We felt embarrassed waiting at the front desk while she searched for our reservation, and then finally found a room for us. At least three other couples were waiting behind us to check in--they were obviously annoyed by the delay, as were we. 2. Our disappointment with the room began as soon as the door closed behind us. While the room was of a good size, and appeared to include some amenities that we don't usually expect (or have a need for) on an overnight stay, it was filthy! There were cigarette burns in the carpeting, and my socks, which I refused to take off while in that room, had to be thrown out when we vacated the room the next morning. We had to call down to have the TV properly set up so that we could sit in our dirty little room and watch TV, and the air conditioner did not work at all. We opted to not take part in the "free" breakfast due to fear for the safety of the food provided. If the food was any indication of the room, we decided to eat breakfast elsewhere. 3. The lady at the front desk was very diligent in getting us into our room--but perhaps we would have been better served had she not been so "helpful" and we would have had to go elsewhere. read more

5 stars, no doubt! Not a single thing inside this hotel that I could say is less than perfect! Probably the best mid-priced hotel that I've ever stayed in! I wish I could take it with me everywhere I go...it was that good!! The beds were exceptional, the bathroom was better appointed than any hotel I've been in, the continental breakfast was fresh and hot, and everyone I encountered were so friendly. I arrived late on a Monday evening and left about 10 am on Wednesday, for a work trip. The front desk clerk was super helpful and friendly, dealing with a steady stream of customers quickly. The room was clean, the sitting area a couch and a sofa style chair and coffee table was comfortable - it's always nice to have somewhere besides the bed to sit and relax. The breakfast bar was better than average, with pancakes, waffles, eggs, meat and hash browns, as well as cereal and the typical yogurts, Danishes and bagels. Sugar free hot chocolate was a unexpected AWESOME bonus. The room was 4/5 for ability to make it dark - lots of electronic lights inside the room, and a rather large gap around the door (note to self - travel with a roll of blue painters tape next time!) I'm definitely more sensitive to external light at night than most folks. The AC was only so-so - 3/5. The unit by the window blew out cool/cold air, but could not cool the room below 70. (Maybe the bed was just too close to the unit for it to really work?) Maintenance came up and looked at in Monday night, but wasn't able to really fix it. The maintenance guy was very nice. Tuesday I kept the blinds closed when I left, and that kept the room much cooler. The AC thing was kind of a bummer, but otherwise the stay was great. Next time I will get a king room instead of one with 2 queens and hopefully that will lead to better air flow. Overall, very impressed with the staff, the service, and the quality of the rooms and furnishings. I plan to stay here on my next trip to Montana. read more

I have been staying at this hotel since it was first built. It's been my first choice every time I'm in town. It's always been the first place I suggest to friends and family traveling to my home town of Helena as well. Tonight I was fueling up at the gas station when I missed a call from the hotel at 8:59pm. I called them back, exactly 3 minutes after my missed call. There was no voicemail left for me to check either. I drove straight there, while I was on the phone calling them. I was informed my room was given away due to a 'declined' credit card and they had no more availability for the night. I completely understand company policy. If there were a malfunction in my card, I should have been offered the chance to rectify the situation. The 'manager' - shift manager I assume, for her lack of professionalism, explained to me twice that I was called multiple times throughout the day. Which as a complete lie. The only call received was returned within 3 minutes and I received no answer. I would have provided a different card had I known there were issues with the one on file. I made contact with the general manager and he also said I was contacted multiple times, and this is their 'standard practice' in customer service. Extremely disappointed in the lack of honesty and integrity in their management. The lack of accommodation as well as their terrible customer service is a disgrace to the service industry. read more

This hotel is clean and updated. We have dogs and this is by far one of the best dog friendly places we have stayed on the west coast. The prices are reasonable and worth it. The cookies and lemon water are a nice touch. I love the variety of pillow firmness as well read more

It typically did not smell in the hotel itself, but the smell did wake my husband and myself in the wee hours. I really can't believe they would build such a nice hotel next to a sewage plant. Absolutely wonderful stay. Staff was super nice and helpful. Property and room was extremely clean. From making reservation to express checkout, everything was easy and without any glitches. I'm pretty high maintenance and a lot of times can be "that customer" and there was nothing I could find to complain about here. Breakfast was great with large selection of pancakes, waffles, sausage, eggs, baked goods, yogurt, coffee, tea, and the list goes on and on. Evening came with fresh baked cookies and 2 soup choices, perfect way to end a long day. And support from this hotel for the Made in Montana trade show was greatly appreciated. Sponsoring the wine at Buyer/Vendor reception on Friday night showed all of us how this hotel supports its local community and businesses. THANK YOU!!! We are now planning to visit Helena for vacation because your hotel makes it worth it. So much dust that someone wiped their finger through the dust and there was dust over the dusty finger print. Clearly not vacuumed as there was a paper clip in the floor. Comfort Suites! Who knew they were this nice. We generally stay down the street in one of those Inn places but I have my dog with me this time and they wanted $100.00 pet fee! Ya, no thank you! I think this is an amazing place. They have a great military rate, pet friendly, nice rooms and hello...fresh cookies! Winning! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the room smells like my Vet's office. I'm almost ready to go out and get a candle. Not a pleasant smell. The carpet in the hallways and in the room I was assigned has numerous stains. Housekeeping uses a very heavily scented deodorizer in the hallways and in the room. I am allergic to scents so now I have a sinus infection. It makes one wonder what they are trying to hide with the deodorizer. If a deodorizer is necessary please use one that is not scented for the many people who are sensitive to smells. Ask any physician and they can confirm that many people are bothered by scents. The lady at the front desk was very nice and the hotel was quiet. However, because of the scented deodorizer I won't be staying at this hotel again even though I'll be back many times in the years to come as my son is at Carroll College. read more

We just returned home after spending three nights at this hotel. We were very impressed with the comfortable rooms, friendly front desk staff, free breakfast a good location and the decent AAA rate. The purpose of our stay was to visit a long time friend who has terminal cancer, so we spent very little time in our room. The reason for 2 stars is I had jewelry STOLEN by the housekeeping staff. I didn't notice until we returned home. I had an expensive bracelet in a jewelry pouch in a box, along with a pair of inexpensive, but nice earrings. I had the box hidden in a large suitcase in between clothes, at the bottom of the suitcase so one would really have to "dig" to find it. I wore it on Wednesday Aug. 26, and didn't get back to the hotel until after midnight. I was tired after spending the day with my sick friend. I put it back in the box, in my suitcase instead of the safe because my mind was elsewhere. Thursday the 27th was our last day there, & also our wedding anniversary,so that was the day/evening it was stolen. We left very early Friday morning. I'm taking full responsibility for not locking it up in the safe, although those portable, poorly made safe's aren't reliable either. But for someone to dig to the bottom of a large suit case, go thru the box, take the jewelry but leave the box and jewelry pouch is as low as it gets. And since I can't fully prove it was someone from housekeeping, although it's 100% certain it was, I will be out hundreds of dollars for the stolen jewelry and for a room that wasn't "secure." It added insult to injury given the reason we stayed there. When we come back for the funeral, we won't be staying here. Sept 1 REVIEW UPDATE: I received a call from Melissa, the Hotel Manager first thing Monday morning, before I could even call her. She was very apologetic regarding the theft of my jewelry and assured me she would look into the matter. I believe she was sincere & felt terrible. They know who was in our room on the day the jewelry was taken, so will be interesting to see if that person comes forward and admits to rummaging thru my suitcase. While I know I most likely will never see the jewelry again, I appreciate the manager contacting me and stating she would look into the matter. It really was too bad about the incident because we really liked the hotel and all the front desk staff. read more

Wonderful place to stay. I generally don't write reviews, unless the place was outstanding or absolutely terrible. This one was outstanding. We were not planing a stop, as we have our travel trailer, but broke down along the way. This hotel is very well maintained and it looks like new. It is also extremely clean, from the rooms to the common areas. This is huge for us, one of us (2 adults, 2 kids) is immunosuppresed from a bone marrow transplant, and it is extremely important we are in a clean place. The rooms are spacious and comfortable too. The facilities themselves are very well maintained. The pool is clean and there are plenty of towels, bathroom & comfy chairs to relax in. Breakfast is good and varies each day (although they always have the waffle makers with two different kinds of batter, a plus with my kids!). During the evenings they have complementary fresh cookies AND 2 kinds of warm soup. Although the hotel is really great and would get 5 stars, I wish I hand another 5 star assessment for the staff. They were efficient, friendly and accommodating. Everyone, from the manager to the grounds keeper & kitchen staff were the epitome of what quality customer service should be. The kitchen staff would bring out a ballon with a hand painted design on it for each kid, the front desk staff gave the kids a little snack when they turned in a loose dollar bill we found outside (as reward for having them do the right thing). The manager was working elbow to elbow with the whole crew, even using the trimmer outside on the grounds. He also offered to let us use any tools we needed to fix our tailer. When we couldn't fix it, he made a couple of call to find a good trailer repair person for us. We had to stay multiple nights (4) and every single day we were there, this was our experience. Given that we were stranded, we used all of the hotel facilities, including laundry, pool and computers. We also walked to adjacent establishments for lunch and dinner. There are many places around, but if you want something on the healthy side, there are a couple of places you can order healthy ingredients and put them together. There was also a good sushi place within walking distance to us. Can't say enough good things about this place. We would definitely come again.
