Been staying here for almost a whole week since my Montana mission trip started, and honestly this place is pretty cozy. Obviously it's not a 5 star resort, but room are cozy and cool, got a little kitchen inside so it's like a small apartment with plenty of space, fitness center is a pretty decent setup, pool is nice, and the breakfast they give out free is honestly really tasty. Don't know if this is just this place or other home2suites but this one in particular also has coffee 24/7 even early at the crack of dawn. So is it better than a resort with room service? No, but this place is definitely better than most dime a dozen hotels. read more

This is a great hotel. It is located in an area that is relatively quiet (no immediate noisy businesses). Great view of the mountains from my room. Breakfast buffet was great, with a large assortment of items. Hotel is very clean, service is friendly. BIG BONUS: the window has a blackout shade you can roll down which was so helpful to get to sleep. They do allow dogs so I was woken up by a barking dog one night. Rooms are not soundproof so any traffic from the hallway bleeds directly into your room. Lots of kids running up and down the hallways at night and in the morning. Highly recommend this hotel. The Home2 concept leaves me "meh." The room is spacious, cavernous almost with two queen size beds. The shower is one of the better one's I've used. Good blackout curtain on the window. Hot coffee to be had throughout the day in the lobby. Staff seems cheery. Quiet part of town. However.... This is a Motel 6 meets The Jetson's decor. Funky. Bizarre. Target market Gen Xers? Nothing about the aesthetics is relaxing, not the pea green walls, mucous orange trim, odd-patterned wall paper, polka dotted lobby tables, mixed color carpet, weird artwork, space-age lamps. The room has curtains for a privacy screen and in lieu of a closet door - '70's college dorm room styling at its finest! Not relaxing? The lobby music is obnoxious! Forget having a quiet breakfast downstairs. I ate in my room. This music extended to the floors, loudest at the elevators. Fortunately I could not hear it from my room. I find this highly annoying. Why must I have to listen to someone else's taste in music? And why not instrumental so that the brain does not need to process and filter out lyrics? I, for one, do not need to be entertained 24/7. Who designed this place? There is only one stairway with access from the outside, at the back of the building. The front stairway dumps out by the entry door, with no way of getting back in the stairway from the outside. That leaves going inside and taking the nearby elevator or walking to the far end to the other stairway. The exercise center is just off the lobby. You can't miss it with its full height glass. Not very private for the modest. No hot tub in the pool room. The "kitchenette" is convenient, if you can call it that. Good size fridge, sink, microwave, and dish washer. But no stove. Induction hot plates are available from the front desk. It would be nice to have them in room already and not have to take that extra step. Breakfast is a unique experience. I've never seen a yogurt dispenser before! Nor chicken strips for breakfast. It's pre-made finger food, and difficult to gather with limited counter space and tongs. Tasty enough but certainly not traditional. No chocolate milk. Bonus points for the orange juice - best I've tasted at a hotel. In the background? There has been dried mud in the stairway for days and grime on the hall carpets. How closely do they clean the entire building? Home2 is adequate. I slept well, was sheltered, and didn't starve. Would I stay here again? Not if there was another suitable option. read more

Room was spacious and enough beds for my family of 5. Breakfast every morning. Kids enjoyed the puzzles and boardgames in lobby. Husband did get stuck in the elevator, but they did get him out pretty quickly. read more

Mixed picture. Surprisingly. This is one of my favorite chains. Issues: dedicated handicapped parking -- at opposite end of building from elevators. One of my peeves -- when the fitted sheets are so worn out, they come loose in the middle of the night and you find yourself on the (shudder!) mattress pad. (Yuck.) Otherwise, hotel has the superb amenities of this chain. Front desk staff were exceptional. Hotel was clean and quiet. Great place to stay in general. Can recommend. read more

I like this brand for extended (or any length) stays. It offers a lot of flexibility and comfort to travelers. Want to save a few meal bucks? Prepare your own food in the full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, oven, and microwave. Clean-up is easy with the in-room dishwasher. The on-site washer and dryer allows you to pack less clothing if you don't mind doing laundry. A well stocked fitness center lets you stay on your workout schedule. An outdoor pool provides cooling relaxation. And, of course, there's a variety of complementary breakfast options. Though many are packaged selections, there is some fresh fruit. Be warned: We were told by their staff that they don't have the budget for a king size bed, they only have queen size beds... again for a steep price of $250+ Comfort of the bed 4/6 - it was comfortable enough for us. Front desk 10/5 The front desk service here is 10/5 awesome service. If it weren't for the friendly staff, we would have moved to a different hotel. Housekeeping 2/5 Upon checking into the hotel, *the lotion and conditioner set wasn't a new set, it was the left over used items from last customer. *The bedding set is like something I have never experienced before which include a cover sheet, a bed skirt and a bed sheet. Out of over 30+ years of business travel, I have never seen anything like this. You pay fromr $250-280/room for a comfort of a bed skirt? Not a blanket and certainly not a duvet! A Bed skirt!? *Some pillow cases were even put on inside out. ‍ *All the dishes were still inside the dishwasher wet, not sure if it's actually clean? Good enough for a run, bike, yoga and light weight train. 2 treadmills 1 bike 1 weight machine- max weight- 200lb 1 press bench Few Yoga mats Towels , tv, earphone and water dispenser with paper cups available inside the gym. Laundry 4/5 The laundry is semi free, self-served laundry (the use of machine is free, but the the detergent isn't. ($1/pack at the concession) Laundry room is located inside the gym. Need your room key to access this room. Pet friendly 5/5 No discrimination against 4paws. Will I stay here again? I like the staff, the location where you can jump in and out of I-15 within 1min. This is really low end of Hilton hotel chain. I stayed for 2 nights, no room service. I was so surprised with this price of $180 per night without room service. No bottle water and cookies as other Hilton hotels do. You really do not think you stayed at Hilton. Breakfast is OK. At least hot, but packaged. read more

Two nights in this property as we start our trip, we arrived late on Saturday night to find that they were sold out of double rooms because the cleaners had not taken care of enough of them. Instead, we were "upgraded" to two separate single rooms with no extra charge. This turned out to work very well for us. The hotel is located close to the HLN airport but not very close to downtown Helena. There is shopping and restaurants nearby but downtown is about ten minutes away. This hotel has plenty of parking. Clean, quiet, comfortable. The hotel is very new and everything in the room worked fine. It is an "extended stay" brand so there is cookware and a fridge, dishes and flatware, a stove top is available upon request. Bed was comfortable, the bathroom was fully functional with plenty of hot water. The work desk had plenty of outlets and there were THREE at the one side of the bed. Excellent. Totally would stay here again. read more

Fairly clean. When I mentioned spilled detergent in the laundry room, they were quick to go clean it up. Two of the three hot water heaters were out of commission, causing a not hot shower situation for guests. They said they were washing things in cold water to try to save the hot water for guests. Cold water washing isn't very hygienic, and certainly gave me pause. The bathrooms are cramped, and the door lock was not functional. The doors were also all heavy or difficult to open without a lot of effort. I do appreciate being able to seat six at a table for meals in my room, though. It makes eating in so much nicer. The employees went out of their way to be helpful. Seemed pretty quiet -- but I don't think they were very busy, either. It has a full size fridge and dishwasher, and cooktop available on request. Breakfast wasn't too bad, but not as good as some, either. I thought they were crazy out of touch when I saw small pizzas in their breakfast offerings, but my young children snapped them up fast and went back for seconds, proving that they do, in fact, have their finger on the pulse of what American children want to eat for breakfast. Both times I used the lobby bathroom, people repeatedly tried the handle, even after I let them know it was occupied. Replacing the locks with vacant/occupied indicator locks would be good. Also, the toilet paper was so flimsy it shredded when I tried to get some. read more

We stayed there three nights because our planned accommodations were in the North Hills fire evacuation zone. This hotel was convenient, fairly inexpensive and the room was large. It included a refrigerator, sink, dishwasher and microwave. Guests can request a hot plate also. Customer service was excellent. When I mentioned a tear in the bottom bed sheet, they changed it that day. At check-out I noted that there were small black bugs on the shower floor that morning. The staff person then offered to refund the last night's stay. The hotel decor, however, was hideous- yellow walls, orange curtain, brown, orange and magenta carpet. It is not at all conducive to relaxation. The bathroom, which does not have a bathtub, even boasts yellow and green plaid wallpaper. The furniture is reminiscent of that in a "renovated" or new dorm room. It is all laminate and cheap. The breakfast bar had very limited protein for a vegetarian as all the breakfast sandwiches came prepackaged with meat. There were no whole grain bread options. read more

First time I've stayed at this location. Somewhat near the airport but really close to gas station, grocery shopping and restaurants. Got in after 10 pm and checkin was very simple. Was not the first time I've travelled during COVID so I was prepared for the lack of daily cleaning and no hot meals. Not an issue Room was spacious. Air conditioning worked and water was hot with plenty of pressure. Wished the windows opened, but not a big deal. Kitchen included sink, fridge, dishwasher, disposal. Plenty of drawers available. No lack of storage. The only odd thing for me was the placement of the tv. It's to the right of the right sided bed. So if you are on the left bed, it's not a very comfortable view. Pool was nice and warm, but no hot tub. No issues staying here again. read more

One of the most comfortable spots i ever rented. The one bedroom apartment runs for under $175 and comes with a kitchen full of silverware, a decent sized fridge and a dinner table. The living room couch is an additional bed and the walls are thick enough to keep noise out. For a couple more bucks you can get a mountain view facing west. My room provided decent scenery and it was dark by the time i arrived. The weather was cool so thank God i didnt have to sleep with window opened. The I-15 is adjacent and loud. The concierge was cool. I slept and washed so didnt speak to em much. Believe me you, the hotels matter on long road trips due to the beds, ambience and much needed physical separation from your travel buddies. I think i found my replacement to the embassy suites!!! The Hiltons bfast are standard but im in montana so ya know im a scope out non corporate local ish. Safe travels. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR $$$ THEY DON'T HONOR REWARDS POINTS. When I 1st booked a reservation for this hotel last December nobody told me about the rewards program during the reservation call or when I arrived. It was a good stay even w/o any room service during covid. I stayed 6 nights. I decided I would stay at Holiday Inn in Salt Lake City on the way home. They told me over the phone about the rewards program and signed me up immediately. However I couldn't get any credit from the hotel in Helena, 6 DAYS! I booked again in Helena and accidentally booked through priceline which I didn't know until my receipt arrived. Immediately I called Helena and told them what happened. I was willing to cancel the reservation with priceline and make it directly through the Helena hotel. They said I would still get my rewards points. However when I arrived it was a different story. I told them how much I liked the oatmeal in the morning. The night manager said yes we have a great oatmeal machine. There was no oatmeal machine. There was a packet of oats with with hot water with nothing to measure with and no microwave to cook it in. When I mentioned it to the night manager he said "ha they must have changed a lot of things that I didn't know about." Next morning I was treated to an argument between an employee and his ex wife about the custody of their daughter. They were talking to full voice and everyone in the dining area was subjected to their conversation/argument. I could see the manager was standing right next to them and she did nothing. The argument continued things were thrown around in the kitchen. Awkward for guests,EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES. For this I am paying over $200 a night?! And I'm not getting any points! read more

We drove a couple hours to be told we couldn't have a room even though we already paid for it online. We came from glacier national park in our way to Yellowstone. The girl at the desk never asked my name even and just said "it happens" and sent me off on my way. She didn't even look it up in the computer, maybe it's because I am white? Like a studio apartment- with housekeeping This was a great place for our family during a busy graduation week, and we were able to host pizza for our whole family in a room comfortably (about 10 people) --nice to have a new option in Helena! I'm a Hilton Honors member and stayed here for business purposes for 3 long months. When you stay at place long enough, you get to see the dysfunction and in this place there's many. This is a place seemingly for young people and staffed by young people and you can tell that in many of their cavalier attitudes. When I checked in they hand you a notice mentioning all the services that weren't available because of Covid-19. No hot breakfast, no daily maid service etc. I wasn't asked what day of the week I wanted my room cleaned. On the July 4th weekend I was going away and asked the front desk woman to have them clean my room. I verified this before I left. "Oh yes sure blah blah blah." I came home Sunday and was bushed and wanted to relax. I walked in and it wasn't done. I called down and demanded an ASAP clean. To their credit, it was done rather quickly. They set me up for a clean every Friday while I was at work. I would always leave a tip. The room was cleaned for a grand total of 2 weeks before the ball was dropped by the staff. I went down to request a clean and got the front desk woman's name, the manager and the housekeeping manager and it was done the following day. In the middle of my stay they updated the TV channels in the hotel but for some reason my room TV not only wouldn't update but also the local channels were deleted. I didn't even bother calling about this. Just was biding my time until my stay was up. While the price fit my company's budget, the stay was aggravating. After 3 months there, you would have thought that would warrant a "thank you" when I checked out. Not a chance. Nice way to treat a customer. I'm at a Marriot now in Helena and they serve hot breakfast unlike the Hilton and I was told about the cleaning schedule at the front desk. Don't waste your time or money with Home 2 Suites. read more

Hilton member here, have stayed at many Hilton brand hotels. I'm really torn on this review- Pros: Employee Darcy was excellent! One of the nicest Hilton employees we have ever worked with. She is a real asset to the Hilton brand. Next, the beds are comfy! Cons: During our 3 day stay the limited breakfast was even more limited because many things were not ordered or replenished. Our first day the coffee was like brown water, very weak and there was no yogurt or milk. Next two mornings, same weak coffee and then no breakfast sandwiches or bananas. On our 2nd day the power was out in the hotel for quite some time. My husband, who has a bad knee had to use the stairs multiple times. Other employees we encountered were lacking in friendliness and professionalism. A morning Gal, named Skylar, was greatly lacking in customer service. Finally, the toilet seat in our room was broken and I mentioned it the first day and it was never addressed. If it wasn't for Darcy we may have checked out and went to a different Hilton. Not sure we will stay here again on our next visit. read more

Good place to go have a stay. They have a nice pool and many things to play with in the pool for kids to enjoy. They are very secure making sure that the people coming in and out are accompanied by people staying there or are staying there. Good breakfast in the morning, and the old school game system in the lobby was a big hit with friends. read more

This is a great place to stay. It is new, the rooms are clean and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and checkin was quick. The exercise room has treadmills, elliptical and bike. There are some weights, also. I really like the digital key - you can unlock your door with your smart phone. The rooms include a refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a pool, but it didn't try it - next time. There is also a basic breakfast available. I recommend this place and plan to stay here again. read more

Spacious, clean, smart, and green. Rooms are massive with small living room, large work station, and a nice size kitchen(with everything except an oven/stove)featuring a nearly full size fridge, large microwave, dishwasher, plates/bowls/silverware, and a garbage disposal in the sink. Workstation desk has a convenient dining room table stored underneath that is on wheels and can be stationed anywhere in the room. The Tv swivels so you can watch in the bedroom or the living room and a divider can be used to separate the two rooms. Beds and pillow are comfy and have all white linens which is a must for me. Bathroom has toilets with two flush settings to save water, a walk in shower(because who ever uses the bathtub in a roadside hotel) with the shower head on one side and the controls on the other so you'll never get wet before you enter. 4 outlets easily accessible from my bed and numerous others located in smart locations all over the room. The location is close to numerous restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores and the mall. Downtown is a short drive away. The premises have laundry facilities, a small selection of frozen food dinners and snacks, and an indoor pool. The staff was very friendly, informative and helpful. Overall great stay and if you're staying for a long period of time it's hard to imagine a better hotel. read more

By far the best hotel I've ever stayed in! Only open for about 5 months but the staff is great. The room was so comfortable, they also have free laundry which is a plus being on the road. We even got to enjoy a fire pit with a gorgeous view of the mountains. read more

Everything is brand new but it's being well maintained, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the rooms are great. I hate at hotels when there isn't enough lighting and there is plenty here. Breakfast was pretty good and I they had tea and coffee available at anytime. I'll be back. read more

My family has had the pleasure of staying at the Home2 for 2 basketball events...and, I can't sing the praises of complex and staff enough! All of the staff is truly amazing and professional. With that being said, this is a group that goes above and beyond the extra mile to make sure your visit is comfortable. First of all, I was pleased...beyond pleased with my room. Clean, well-appointed and functional with a modern flair. Beds...very comfortable! The kitchenette is perfectly assembled to get maximum function. We had adjoining rooms with 5 adults and 2 babies...very easy to make meals and keep the room clean. As much as I loved every staff member, and I really did...they were all awesome...I have to give special props to Darcy. Darcy fielded many phone calls to modify our accommodations...literally right up to the night before we came in as my son decided to bring the two littles and joint the family for our senior's last state tournament. The adjoining rooms were the perfect solution for this Oma as we saw the little's all day and then they went to their room to sleep with dad:). And, to top all that off, they had free laundry machines...yep, just bring your own soap. One review likened the property to an Extended Stay...this is an Extended Stay that is extraordinarily classy and clean. I travel a lot and stay at Hilton hotels all the time. The Home2 Suites is definitely a low budget Hilton property. There's no frills when it comes to this hotel. When I first got to my room Zoe from Housekeeping was finishing up my room. She had a huge smile and welcomed me to Montana! It was nice to see staff with a smile on their face. The staff is extremely welcoming and nice. The management should be proud of the staff they have there. I stayed on a weekend; came back to my room on a Saturday afternoon to find housekeeping didn't come. I called the front desk to find out if housekeeping had missed my room. The front desk was really nice in letting me know they don't do it on weekends, but asked if I needed towels. She brought them right away and apologized for not having housekeeping. She was extremely nice. The only reason why I gave this hotel a 3 star is due to the morning of my final stay there was a ton of little bugs crawling all over my bathroom floor. Kind of grossed out by that. The breakfast was one I would've never expected from a Hilton property. The eggs and egg sandwiches were all in bags with numbers on it so you knew which number to hit on the microwave. read more
