For a small town, Blythe has a fairly large number of hotels--most are just so-so or worse. Comfort Suites is clearly the best overall. When I arrived I was greeted warmly and check-in was a breeze, thanks to the efficiency of the desk clerk. The room was large, typical for a "mini-" or "half-"suite. The bedding was clean and fresh, the mattress and furniture comfortable. The room, for the most part--more on that later--was clean. Breakfast was a cut above--eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy with the usual waffle machine and typical continental breakfast offerings. A little added bonus--Greek yogurt. The food tasted fine and was at appropriate temperature. I would have given this facility a five-star review except for two things. The first was a large stain on the carpet by the door. Yes, I know stains happen but when one pays nearly $120 for a room, that stain should have been made to disappear. The second incident happened when I opened the door. Two large "water" roaches came scurrying out--hey, I didn't think pets were allowed! Inside, on the aforementioned carpet stain, lay a dead roach. I suspect foul play, accounting for the other two beating a hasty retreat. Seriously, there should have been no roaches, alive or dead but at the time, tired from driving, all I could do was let my imagination run wild. So sorry, Comfort Suites, those things docked you a star. The above aside, I would recommend this property if you're staying in Blythe. read more

Attempted to call the front desk numerous times to cancel our reservation but it just rang on with no answer. We needed to cancel as we were not driving through Blythe as our plans had changed. I ended up call the 800 number for choice hotels. They were able to speak to the front desk twice and spoke with Ashley. Both times they refused to refund our room as it was less than 24 hours into their cancellation policy. I do understand and asked for a courtesy or to transfer the reservation to another hotel. Flat out no and they cannot transfer as all the hotels are independently owned and operated. Then I find out the hotel is undergoing construction and renovation which I was not made aware of. $140 out of pocket. Extremely disappointed. I think I'll stick with Hampton or Hilton from now on. Surprisingly nice. Nothing felt old or run down. Beds were super comfy. Everything seemed pretty clean. No weird smells. I would def reccomend it and come back again on our next trip to AZ. Only complaint was how unproffesional one of the cleaning guys was. Stayed here after a long day of floating on the river. Would not recommend. Air conditioning did not work well. Woke up and came downstairs to trash all around the pool area. It was disgusting. Especially during a time of a 'pandemic.' People were yelling at each other in the hallway outside my room, once at 11 pm then again at 3 am. The only reason I came here was to sleep, that's it. We go to this hotel every year when we go on our river trips. Its a newer hotel less then 10 years old. Rooms are always clean and the staff from the front desk to the cleaning crew are always polite and professional. The pool is big with a bbq grill for use. Nice polite front desk staff. Helped us with a late check in. Got us into our room quickly. Check In: I was tired after a long day of driving. All that I wanted was a quick check in, a clean, non smoking room. They delivered! 5 min from check in to z's. Room: Double queen, super clean. Bathroom had granite, had several large 89% cotton towels. Free wifi, and no hassle breakfast. Location: On the opposite side of highway from most of the development, however, new building great condition, ample upfront parking. We parked on backside, next to room, no issues with car. BEST HOTEL IN THE AREA! Super clean, SUPER FRIENDLY STAFF! Ok, this is the place to stay if you, like me dread the middle of nowhere motel 6, shady characters hanging around, dark parking lots, and o damn, what is that stain on the comforter type of person. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN... I cannot state this enough. 2 comfortable beds, flat screen tv, couch, desk, closet with ironing board. Bathrooms are super clean and well stocked (shampoo, lotion, soap, more than 1.2 towels), microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge!!! This is money well spent, especially when you look around and realize where you almost stayed! :) Runs about $100ish a night. read more

Booked a last minute room here and I was really impressed. The guy (Thomas) on reception was an amazing help, super friendly and a good welcome to any person frequenting the hotel. I rolled up thinking it would be a smaller hotel, but was surprised to be greeted with a very clean and modern hotel. My King room was excellent, really clean and tidy and I had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was the usual buffet fare but again filing and also included in the price which was a bonus. Recommend this place highly if you are doing the I10 PHX to LA route ever. read more

Although my review is 5*, it's not meant to imply that it is a 5* resort. I'm basing my review on cleanliness, customer service, amenities, etc. Blythe is a stop over town for us, nothing here that interests us, most people are coming into town with their river toys to play in the Colorado River. Upon check-in, we were greeted with a very nice young man, forgot to get his name, he was very friendly. The hotel was clean, in the lobby, the breakfast area, the computer area and our room, no complaints. The breakfast was the basic eggs, sausage, cereals, bagels, yogurt - just something to get your day started and it was fine. Although we didn't use either, the pool and the workout room looked great and clean! There are restaurants within walking distance, we ate at the Denny's across the street, it was fine and there are several gas stations on the corner. All is all, our stay was great, albeit only one night. read more

It's a nice hotel, a bit expensive to be just a nice hotel. Room is adequate. The door frame is not square so it has to be forced open and closed. Room was "clean" but needs a deep cleaning. Bed was clean but sloppily made. Room service did a nice job cleaning except they left the door open when I got back (non square door frame caused door not to close.) Only one transient walking around parking lot, which isn't bad for the area. Overall a nice stay. Wasn't worried for safety. No nasties in the room. What is there in Blyth that would make you want to stop here? Nothing really, other than trying to shorten the drive on our way home. But this hotel met our needs on this stop. Location was right off the freeway. Very friendly staff. The room itself was large and very comfortable. On this stay there wasn't anything else we could have wanted than to do some relaxing at the end of our week long trip where we were constantly on the go. Got some take out food, went back to the room and watched TV. The only negative about our room was that the tub in the bathroom drained super slow. When you took a shower you would have water up to your ankles before you were done. I did notify the front desk when we checked out. There is a free breakfast, and well that is another story. There was one very nice, hard working lady doing it all, Cooking and restocking, and she was having to do it with one small microwave oven. Come on management, give her some help!! Even though she kept saying she could do it all. At least give her another larger microwave. That was crazy. If you would be there when it wasn't busy, it would probably be alright. When it got fairly busy, there were always people standing around waiting for cooked food or restocking and she couldn't keep up. This isn't even fair to the poor lady because it isn't her fault and she was really doing her best. We felt sorry for her. Breakfast was the standard cereal, waffles, yogurt, bananas, apples etc. and when she could get them out, sausage and scrambled eggs. But, you have to remember that it is free and you get what you pay for. Other than that, staying here was just fine. read more

The maintenance man at this location is very rude maybe even an alcoholic I checked into the hotel the staff was very nice I spent the day inside the room I went outside to the pool area all of a sudden a truck pull up parked recklessly,Jumped out the car starts yelling about towels that I left on the ground I stated to this man I did not have a towel he walked away yelling and screaming and smelling like beer mad because he stated he did not wanna have to come get propane he wants to be at home he walked to his truck. Then came back and said that we were not social distancing so my niece and my daughter needed to get out the pool I told him you're the maintenance man came up all the cigarette butts out here and stop yelling he continue yelling about social distancing I started to get up I left the pool area to go back up to the room the key again did not work but the 12 time I walked all the way around the building to the front desk he was on the phone with his general manager yelling and screaming I asked to speak with the manager they told me he was not there yet I'm speaking with the GM right now and on the phone he hangs up the phone proceeds to tell the young man behind the counter Xavien know he doesn't want to talk to her he's not gonna talk to her they can get out the pool I asked Fabian and again do you have a number for corporate. He states I can try to call my manager and see if he will speak with you I spoke with the manager Tito explain to him that the man was rude yelling for no reason and very disrespectful Tito the manager told me that it is whatever the maintenance man says he's in charge from the hotel to the subway I stated to Tito iWith check out of this hotel because I will not be disrespected he shit that's fine I checked out within 30 minutes Fabian comped my room and I left I don't know who that maintenance man is I do not have his name all I know is he pulled up parked illegally and was very disrespectful very drunk smelling like nothing but beer through the scar that he had covering his face this man was yelling and being very disrespectful to the point my two sons drove up in the car heard him yelling and was ready to punch him out that's how disrespectful this guy was I would never stay at the comfort suites in life again I do not suggest anyone goes there I was in there less than 24 hours the key stopped working 12 times soon as I got there the toilet was stopped upAnd then I had to deal with this man that is very disrespectful read more

Blythe as a town has little to offer and has some undesirable areas however it does have access to the Colorado river, great farms and Comfort Suites Blythe. I had the pleasure of staying here with my family and it was clean, super comfortable, the staff was friendly and accommodating. I felt safe and could clearly view our vehicle from our 3rd floor room. I was lucky enough to be greeted by Brittany? She was so nice and even helped with a bit early check in. Check in literally took less than 5 minutes. The free breakfast was AWESOME. Scrambled eggs , biscuits, gravy, sausage, waffles, fruit, bagels, cereal and more!!! Comfort suites will be the only place I stay when in this area. Its a great place to cool down and beat the heat of Blythe! read more

I'm convinced this town is my own personal hell. My car broke down so I was stuck here for the night in 115 degree weather. Fast food restaurants only. This hotel is the cherry on top. There is mask and social distancing signage everywhere, but it's not being enforced. Even the receptionist wasn't wearing one. The pool is supposed to close at 10, but apparently that isn't enforced either! So I got to listen to screaming children and blaring music all night. Would not recommend. For the price you pay you'd expect a room that functions decently. They are relatively clean and the staff is friendly. Breakfast was fine our problems were with our room. All of our plumbing backed up. Sinks, and tub did not drain right and toilet filled to the top every flush. We could not shower back to back or you'd be in a tub of water. Went down to check to see if we could get a different room, they were booked and let us know they'd contact maintenance, never heard back. It was already pretty late but we still waited a while to hear from them so I decided to call down on the phone in the room and waited, turns out our phone was not wireless just happen to be missing the wire that connected to the phone. So plugged it in ( had to hold it while on the phone it must of been out because it it was broken) the front desk informed me they contacted the manager and I could get a refund. Sounds great until I told them I didn't book through them. IF YOU BOOK THROUGH A THIRD PARTY YOUR STUCK! I could not get a refund because I booked through an outside site.finished our stay maintenance never showed up. And I'm no bug expert but I'm pretty sure we had ticks in the bathroom. read more

I slept very well here, and the room was lovely, with a bathtub with hot water. The only disappointment was the free breakfast, and a rather overpowering smell of cheap perfume (a cleaning product?) when I arrived. The scrambled eggs were not like any scrambled eggs I have ever had before, and I actually couldn't eat them. But the quiet peacefulness of the night and the friendliness of the staff made up for the inedible eggs. I would stay there again most definitely. read more

This is by far the best hotel to say in around this area. Hotel isly clean ,tons of amenities, and staff is friendly. I can't figure out why someone needs to come to Blyth other than for work but if you are forced to come here this is the ONLY place to stay. There are other hotels but they are pretty scary from the outside. Oh make sure you lock your car and don't have anything important in it because even the Comfort Inn is not in the best part of town. read more

I would NEVER stay here again! First of all, the front desk girl looked trashy-- covered in tattoos, very unprofessional first impression. Secondly, I had asked her to put me somewhere quiet & it ends up that the people next to me had a kid that was screaming, banging, jumping around well after midnight. I called the front desk to remedy the problem to no avail. I had to call back a second time, so they decided to move me to a different room (at almost 1am). The second room I was moved into had an old creaky a/c unit that made so much noise that I got absolutely no sleep. Not to mention the freeway noise! And, the bratty ass kid from the (first) room next door climbed all over my brand new truck setting off the alarm. I felt extremely unsafe with people loitering in the larking lot, etc. NEVER again! The staff here is accommodating and offers the best in customer service, not just in Blythe, but any where! Sal at the front desk was a pleasure to deal with. We slept too late for the free breakfast, but I heard it was great. While there doesn't seem to be luxury hotels in Blythe, the Comfort Suites is clean and treated us with the same attention as many luxury properties. We came down for breakfast and the front desk girl had an ugly scowl on her face. Didn't say anything. And when we checked out she gave another nasty face. She dint say thank you for coming or nothing. If you hate people don't work in the service industry. I chose this place and paid the price for friendly people. I won't stop here again. It's all about customerservice and if these people can't manage that than what's the point. It started off good and ended with a big dissapointment with the morning staff.
