The managers were delightful, friendly and very responsive to our requests. Very clean. Very comfortable bed. I travel with my own blanket and pillow so I just need a really good firm bed. Hard to find. Lounge and pool is closed in winter. Will go back here. Very close to restaurants. Starbucks across the street. Prefer that to in room coffee makers. Garcia's Mexican Resturant is excellent and a few blocks away. BarBQue around the corner. Sizzler across the street. Great location. 3 stars in a 2 star town. Visited 12/15/2019 A quick overnight stay. This place is quite nice for the low price. The front desk was Simi friendly and did give me early check in. That's a plus. The room was dated but neat and clean. Had a small microwave and good cold small refrigerator. Heating and air conditioning was quite and efficient. The TV was quite small in this room. Smallest that I have found in any motel. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows were large and nice. Best I've had in a motel in awhile. The downside was there was a complete lack of Hot Water. Turned all the way on it never got more than Luke warm. Hardly warm enough to shave. Another thing is they have a beer and wine bar but it doesn't open till 7:00 pm. Not a very smart move for travelers that are going to be on the road early the next morning. All in all this place has a great value. Definitely will stay here again. read more

This place was awesome owners changed and now its terrible. Matt was nice on arrival, but did absolutely nothing when someone was/is dealing drugs next door. Six cars in the past hour have stopped by and knocked on the door go inside slam the door and leave. The foot traffic is obvious. They're sketchy as all hell, I'm uleaving this review as I can't sleep and it is almost 2 am. Matt was pissed off I woke him up. Wonder how I feel right now. He said hed "handle it" but has done absolutely nothing. The room had no facial tissue, toilet paper or soap, even though minutes before it was checked. Im pissed off I want to sleep. Not to mentioned there are 5 cars in a lot of over 100 and 100 rooms why the hell put me by someone else? Officially a drug highway 6 am no sleep activity all night long. If I could give it no stars I would. Owners have changed along with staff and me and my family have had an awful experience since check in. Our room we reserved was "ready" but hadn't been cleaned. When we came back at the end of the day after we were promised a CLEAN room only to find there's still dead bugs and food from the last person!!! Front desk guy (white male in late 30's) was NO help and his lack of customer service and his judgment on cleanliness and managing the hotel is just as trashy as his rooms. Bed bugs were an issue. Management was very rude. And if you tell them not to go in the room they do anyway to turn off all the electrical items including AC. Let me first start by saying that I have been going to Blythe for over thirty years to visit the Colorado River. We made the mistake of trying a different Motel to stay at this last weekend. The Emerald Inn looked decent from the pictures shown. Don't be fooled! It is a total dump!!! The room that we were in had a window AC unit mounted in the wall. In order for the room to get anywhere close to cool you have to close off the bathroom. The AC ran continuously all night long and still couldn't keep up. This means that the bathroom stays sweltering hot. I understand that Blythe gets extremely hot during the summer and I have never been in a situation like this at any other Motel in Blythe or anywhere else for that mater. We reported it to the people who run the establishment and the manager came down to look at the issue. He informed us that this is the way it is and that all the other rooms were exactly the same way. He refused to move us to another room and basically told us that we were shit out of luck. This establishment makes Motel 6 look like a four star Hotel. Anyone who reads this please do your self a favor and go elsewhere. I will be making it a point to tell all friends and anyone that I come across about this experience. read more

These people care about their property. That is evident. Nice people mangled and ran it, made us feel very welcomed. Located far enough from the highway, that it's peaceful through the evening. And the morning. No riff raff. Large room, comfortable clean bed.....really nice experience. Birds signing in the morning. Morning light coming through the bathroom window. The furniture is used, but I have paid more money for a less relaxing experience. Sweet hometown hospitality. We ate at steaks & cakes after. Would stay again. Stayed here this weekend on my way to Arizona for a drop off. I obviosuly was looking for a bargain rate for my 6 hour stay. I am very glad I chose Emerald Inn. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. I had a microwave a fridge, a table with 2 chairs. A bath tub. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I would all ways stay here when traveling through blythe. A great find. read more

ZERO STARS ! DO NOT STAY HERE! My boyfriend and I stayed here for just one night and it was hands down the worst experience of my life. The first room we were given was disgusting with pee in the toilet and a previous guests clothing bag left in the dresser. I went to speak to the man at the front and he is NOT friendly whatsoever. He got rude and snapped at me when i explained my issue with the room as it was clearly not cleaned thoroughly if not at all. He told me that I was lying and that if I wanted a different room to just say so instead of making things up so I just ended up saying yes that's what I would like. He follows me back to the first room and sees the issues and just shrugs it off and throws the bag out of the unit. Next he directed us to a different unit that took about 6 hours to cool down which is unacceptable in 100+ degree weather. This room was even worse than the first which I was unaware was possible. There were holes in the walls, a broken lock on the door, water damage on one of the walls, either a huge build up of dust and dirt or possibly black mold on the floor crownings, a hand towel in the bathroom with what resembled a bloody booger. The bed has crumbs underneath the first blanket and the bathroom consistently felt like a sauna with a number of flys. There were skid marks in the toilet as well as rust, dirt, and hair to be found in the tub. When I turned the water from the tub on, YELLOW/BROWNISH WATER came out. I could truly go on with the grimy state of both rooms I was placed in but Im not sure this review would ever end. Moral of the story... DO NOT STAY HERE. read more

Blythe that is. this city is pretty miserable.. but sometimes you just gotta stay in a cheap motel room after driving in that shitfest of los angeles traffic. this place is a great option. well, it' an option. one of your only ones BUT we didn't hate it. actually kinda liked it. the room was clean enough and cozy. the continental breakfast was pretty weak (cold cereal and toast) but the coffee shop is next door so whatevs. my biggest complaint was being woken up in the early morning hours by a group of crazy ass laughing old ladies in the room next door that sounded like they were in ours. next time i'll be sure to ask for a room that is NOT adjoining to another. read more

The front desk girl was so friendly and she gave me all sorts of tips that it never occurs to other desk clerks to tell guests: Blythe restaurants tend to close at 9 pm, the card key has a chip in it so put that side into the slot, the whole hotel tends to be pretty quiet. The room was fine, bed was comfy (king size all to myself), had an old couch in the room too. The Internet connection sucked. I tried BHI Cust WIFI 3 as directed and was bumped off the Internet a few times, so I tried 1, 3 and even the Sizzler Steak House (across the street--that didn't work). Don't expect to watch movies on your laptop or even watch a short Youtube video, the connection isn't strong enough. They give you a discount coupon for the bar on check in which is thoughtful. It's an old hotel, a bit run down, but it comes with fridge, micro, coffee maker and TV, not bad for $50! read more

We stayed for 2 nights here for our trip to Quartzsite shows in AZ. For the prices we paid for, I am very happy with the stay. The hotel is a bit dated, but everything works well, including the newer flat screen TV. There's a coffee maker and microwave in the room. It's clean and quiet. Free continental breakfast provided at the office. Very convenient location closes to restaurant, highway and stores. It's only about 20+ minutes drive to Quartzsite, AZ. My only complain would be the wall mount A/C. It's not central air. It works well, but it's kind of noisy at night and would stay running as long as the power is on. We ended up not turning on the A/C for the 2nd night and we slept much better. We'll definitely stay again for future trips. I would give 4 1/2 stars if I can. read more

Dude seriously. NO. Stayed in this spot out of necessity for the gem shows, but would never choose it. It's old and stinky. The pillows feel lumpy and they are enormous, like you are sleeping on a bag of laundry. The beds are so uncomfortable my back seriously hurt all weekend from one night here. I was up all night tossing and trying to find comfort. The walls have weird paint + spackle jobs and it's super ghetto. The ONE thing I give this place is the bathroom was clean. That would have pushed it over the edge so I am grateful for a clean shower. BUT the towels are like sandpaper napkins with other people's stains all over them. For $100, you have just GOT to be kidding me. I should have slept in my car and spent the $$ at the gem show. There is a small bar attached with decent prices and ambiance which helps. If you get drunk enough, perhaps you could get some sleep. In the morning, skip the horrific coffee and unhealthy muffins ~ there is a Starbucks nearby. (I don't normally do Starbucks, but in Blythe is it your only chance of decent cuppa if you are a coffee snob..or just byo) That picture with the green wall, NOT even close to how my room looked. The staff are friendly :) Although I did get a knock on my door around 8:30am for housekeeping which wasn't great. This place is a DUMP! It is in bad need of remodeling. There are so many patches and layers of paint inside that you cannot figure out what was there before. Upon entering the bathroom the toilet paper was not in the holder because it was broken. There were only two washcloths on the shelf and they had serious gray stains on them. Same with the bath mat. No bath towels or hand towels. There was rust all around the bathtub drain and the pedestal sink drain. The outlet by the long shelf under the air conditioner did not work so you practically have to move furniture to find an outlet to charge your phone. I walked over to the office with the two washcloths and asked for white clean towels and bath towels. About 10 minutes later housekeeping knocked on the door and I noticed she had the stack of clean towels sitting on dirty towels as she proceeded to hand them to me and said these are the whitest towels we have. Really? Now they've just been in contact with dirty towels! I was so disgusted with this place. It felt dirty and old. My husband was not happy with me but we left and drove all the way back home after spending the day at the Quartzsite RV show. There was no way I could sleep in the beds. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE. We had booked this hotel in advance as the last stop before arriving at our vacation rental in Palm Springs. While waiting for my spouse to check in i observed 3 drug transactions take place in the parking lot and several people involved go to and from their rooms, a vehicle leaving with people in it and returning with new people and all going inside a room. These same people then milling around the parking lot. Upon my spouse returning to the car I said i did not think it would be a good idea too stay here as we are both retired police officers and we are traveling with a police canine dog that is certified in narcotics detection. Management was made aware of the situation and we requested our money back and said we would just be on our way. They told us too bad we already paid and they would not give us our money back after much debate. During this debate a customer came in and requested a room, to which he replied that they were full but to leave his number as he would have a room shortly, i am sure in anticipation of our room or the girl in 128 who was also requesting her money back and was being denied as she found cockroaches in her room along with brown tap water. We left without our money back, this was a safety issue that we want others to know before deciding to stay. read more

The bar at the motel The Emerald Lounge boasts craft beer, wine and cocktails. My friend and I on a whim decided to stay. The rooms were cozy, clean and comfortable. The staff all courteous. This is a great little hotel. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. The landscaping and the pool are nice too. Another nice feature was a little brewpub that they have right next to the lobby. A nice selection of beers with friendly bartender. This hotel is owned by a nice hard-working young couple. Anybody who has given this motel a bad rap or review is out of their mind, or just way too picky. For the price and in this location this is a great motel. This hotel is listed on a myriad of third party booking sites, on which one can complete and pay for a reservation, such as, Priceline. On these third party sites, it clearly states that no fees or deposits are associated with the booking by the hotel. Yet, the hotel will definitely charge a $50 deposit, which is fraudulent representation. I wonder what else they will decide to charge for, out of nowhere without notice, if so inclined... After reading the reviews on the cheaper hotels in BIythe, which were really scary, I made a reservation and there was no deposit charge. I was very pleased with this motel. It's clean and well kept up. The room had a larger refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. The bedding was double sheeted like in the better luxury motels, which was a nice touch. The staff was pleasant and friendly too. The air/heating unit was a little loud but otherwise very good! If you have to stay in Blythe, this is a good option. - It's also across from Sizzler with a number of other restaurants nearby. read more

This place is very clean and the staff is very polite. I made the reservation at the last minute and checked in at one in the morning and the woman at the desk was very receptive and well mannered. Although they didn't pick up on the first call when they did pick up they made sure to ask about any and all accommodations I needed for my family and two large dogs.
