They have all the typical coffee and coffee drinks, and a small selection of baked goods. The place wasn't very busy on a weekday mid-morning; the service was friendly and efficient. Our drinks were well made, and our cranberry cake fresh and moist. One note of caution depending on your political leanings: the place is very in-your-face lefty, with pro-Palestinian signs, rainbow everything, and a slogan on every surface. This didn't both me because really I don't care about politics, but it might bother some with strong feelings.

The flavor was almost too natural and tasted like straight heavy cream when I took my first bite lol. I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but you can never go wrong with ice cream and it was still good.

I found a paid parking spot in the lot right in front ($1.50/hr or so). There are lots of cute seating areas so this space would have potential if they fix the food situation. Everything in this bakery is BEAUTIFUL. Stopped here on our way out of town from a great weekend in TC and we gobbled up their breakfast sandwiches like it was our job. The chocolate croissant is also out of this world, and if the line is any indication, TC residents know they have a great thing going here. read more

The best bread and pastries can be found at Common Good Bakery in Traverse City. Their products rival anything I have tasted in Spain and France. It really is an art form to produce such delicious bread and we stop here weekly. read more

We arrived about half an hour before the sign says pizzas are ready, and the lovely man at the register said "sure!" when we asked if we could order a pizza. The menu has something for everyone - Including plenty of vegetarian options (I think they even had a vegan option). I loved my Griffon, and the meat eaters in our group enjoyed the SS Noronic (a BLT) and the Fitzgerald. Our kids devoured their cheese pizza! They also carry Great Lakes Co Chips, which are some of the best potato chips we've ever had. Our sandwiches were all so inventive with delicious, fresh ingredients, amazing condiments, and the most freshly baked "pretzel rolls" ever. If this place wasn't a vacation stop for us, we'd be back all the time! Our kiddos favorite part, bedsides the pizza, were the tiny plastic swords that came in our sandwiches holding them together. When they each wanted one more sword, we went back inside and the staff inside was so used to kids asking for more tiny swords that their response to "May we have two more swords?" Was "Sure! What colors?!" Very different from what the response would have been where we're from. :) We even came back later in the day for the frozen custard!!! All in all, it was a great experience with great food, great service, plenty of outdoor picnic tables under umbrellas, and something for everyone to eat.

My biggest suggestion for improvement would be the acoustics inside the dining room. When the restaurant is busy, the noise level becomes overwhelming and takes away from what is otherwise a fantastic dining experience. I ended up sitting outside, and the patio was peaceful and relaxing. I hope the owners consider adding some acoustic treatment because the food deserves an atmosphere that matches its quality. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying several other dishes on the menu.

My belly was so happy. The side of Turkey sausage was so good. It's not your basic sausage. They are homemade with roasted onions, leeks, and herbs. This changes every season, which is so exciting. My husband's toast was made with brisket. I tried a bite. The combination of fresh veggies, homemade bread, and brisket was so good. Vanessa was our server. She was so great! So friendly and helpful. This is one of my all time favorite breakfast places. Can't wait to come back.
