Located in a small strip mall, Common Good Bakery is pick-up only during the pandemic. Order online or outside their shop and in a few minutes, your pastries will be ready. Dropped in for some baked goods based off of Yelp reviews. The workers were all very friendly and helpful. They had a counter full of baked goods and a nice selection. We liked everything we picked up (chocolate chip cookie, salted caramel something (can't recall the name), a chorizo ricotta and red pepper tile, croissant and a fig and pistachio pasty. The texture of the pistachio pastry, croissant, tile and salted caramel pastry all had a great buttery flavor with a flaky goodness. This bakery rocks, these danishes are so good. They only offer curbside and had one lady running back and forth placing and delivering the orders. If I lved here (which I will in 10 years, at least that's the plan) I would be eating here everyday. Stopped in to get lunch--but couldn't resist getting other stuff too! I got the chicken basil pesto sandwich--delicious!!!!!! Grilled and warm with crispy bread, chicken and melted cheese with pesto... very satisfying sandwich. I also got the almond chocolate croissant, which has some sort of a creamy filling along with the chocolate. I brought home rolls for supper, also fabulous (lovely crunchy crust with a cloud inside) and a chocolate croissant which was large and beautiful and I didn't get to try. Took a break from work and opted for a few days in Traverse City with the family. We selected this place from a little research on our way into town for the weekend. I had the ham sandwich turned breakfast sandwich. It was a little short on ham but the sandwich was great. The egg was fantastic, the Swiss was plentiful and the croissant was the best... buttery and flaky, it was great. We also got the chocolate croissant was great, the chocolate almond croissant was as delicious. I had the blueberry danish and the blueberries were fresh and delicious.
