Small place with beautiful breads and pastries. Much care is taken to using the good stuff for their wares. Tucked away in the corner of a small strip of stores which means limited parking. They have some outdoor seating but no indoor seating. I enjoyed the Morning Bun. Super messy as expected but worth it. Great flavor with loads of cinnamon sugar. Lovely and fluffy.

What a gem! We had such a great experience at Common Good Bakery in Traverse City! We tried a mocha, americano, a Hamowich, and a breakfast sandwich, and everything was fantastic. The coffee was amazing perfectly brewed, smooth, and flavorful. The sandwiches? Absolutely delicious! The Hamowich was perfectly balanced, and the breakfast sandwich was hearty and satisfying, with fresh ingredients that really hit the spot. The best part, though? The staff. Super friendly and welcoming, they made the experience even better. And the ambiance was adorable; cozy, charming, and just the right vibe for a relaxed breakfast or coffee stop. Highly recommend this place if you're in Traverse City. Definitely a 5-star experience all around! Will be back for sure!

Gem in TVC for local, fresh made bread and treats. The chocolate almond croissant is worth the visit on the own! We also had one of the sandwiches for lunch. Nice looking bread to take home as well. Helpful friendly service. Some seats to eat in and outside seating as well.

High quality baked goods, decent coffee, doing good for the community is enough to earn my business. Service is fast and kinda sorta friendly, the shop smells delicious and the display case invites you to sample alllllll their wares. You can purchase swag too (t-shirts, hoodies, beanies, and a tiny canvas bag ) as well as not caffeinated beverages. Support small businesses and especially ones that give back.

My friend and I were warmly greeted upon entering. I had the chocolate-filled almond croissant. It was a little harder than expected, as I could not cut it with a butter knife, but the flakes did fall off when eaten. My friend enjoyed his pastry and Caffè Americano. They have a nice assortment of breads and pastries, albeit on the pricy side. They have flat-top tables, are very clean, and provide excellent service. Small lot parking. Their support of Food Rescue and Tart Trails earned them five stars. I would recommend them.

Yummy pastries & coffee! Good selection of breakfast sandwiches, breads, & sweet and savory baked goods!

My friends and I kicked off our early morning here. Our food came out quick, and the bakery is a cozy spot to hang out will you eat and wait for your coffee. You can watch them bake bread in wood fire ovens and see their staff working in the kitchens. We went overboard when we saw the pastry display and had no regrets. The cookies were my favorite, they were chewy and soft. The breakfast sandwiches were very tasty as well. Locals were lining up for fresh baked bread and coffee. Our experience was pricey but delicious!

We had a lovely meal here. Everything looked and tasted delicious. Soup was amazing too. Would highly recommend and wish we were here longer to go back.

Cold brew was just ok. Quite pricy for what you get honestly. Bread and bakery items looked great but didn't purchase any so maybe next time

Great bread won me over. That cheddar cream is the bomb. We joined the bread club or whatever for $100, worth it!

A modern ambiance with great service and good sized crowd. Our server was attentive and friendly and professional. They had a solid food and drink menu and we enjoyed our oysters and tuna carpaccio apps. My Caesar salad was fresh with the right level of parm, dressing, and sourdough croutons, our mushroom risotto and trout was well portioned and prepared-- so delicious. The avocado toast was inedible. The eggs were barely cooked. The greens were plain and undressed (bitter arugula). The tomatoes were soggy. The bread was thin and untoasted, so it got soggy really quickly. The avocado was a thin consistency (maybe packaged avo?), browning, and a super thin layer. They gave me a little side of fresh berries that seemed like they were packaged for a few days (strawberries a little sketch.) They were out of almond croissants and many other pastries (10a on a tues.) You order at the counter and they bring food to you. I found a paid parking spot in the lot right in front ($1.50/hr or so). There are lots of cute seating areas so this space would have potential if they fix the food situation. The pictures on their Instagram made it look much tastier than it was :/

As an obnoxious California Bay Area coffee snob, I was blown away by this place. Really, really,…read morereally good coffee with friendly service and a cute little shop in the heart of downtown TC. As a testament to this place's service, we were actually recommended this place as a place to use the bathroom without needing to pay by a worker at a clothing store across the street. But, we smelled the delicious coffee beans and saw that they roasted their own beans in the back of the store and decided to try it. My gf said the mocha here is better than at Cat and Cloud in Santa Cruz (extremely high praise, formerly her favorite). I agreed, even as a person who prefers a latte or a cup of drip. Really smooth and creamy chocolate without the usual mocha grittiness/graininess, with a great roasty coffee flavor to balance it out. The craziest thing is C&C (or any Bay Area/NorCal coffee shop) will charge you $7-8 for a mocha. This place was less than $5! Amazing deal for some high quality, house roasted coffee.
