We went on a Tuesday morning and it wasn't at all busy but it was later morning and the selection of pastries was running a little lower. I'm guessing the earlier you go, the better the selection. We got a variety of pastries to try out and all were super yummy. We got an Apple hand pie, a chocolate croissant, a morning bun (a flaky pastry similar to a cinnamon roll with cinnamon sugar), and little savory bites with I believe gruyere and egg. We took our goodies back to our rental and stuck them all in the oven for a few minutes to warm. All were amazing. Definitely go give it a try. read more

I was very excited to go to the restaurant for the first time since they opened on 8th Street. But it was a big letdown. I had the turkey pear sandwich. What a disappointment. My mouth is still sore from the hard bread, I couldn't bite it so I tried breaking off pieces. The pear was so thin you could read through it and the turkey wasn't any thicker. The mustard was so strong it was the only thing you could taste. The tomato basil soup wasn't much better. I thought I could salvage the experience by getting a peanut butter chocolate croissant , but even that was disappointing. The only thing that lived up to my expectations was the coffee. read more

I love this bakery, they are SO NICE and everything is SO DELICIOUS, I always stop when I'm in the area or even go out of my way so I have something tasty to bring on a day trip. Will be here again. What a great little bakery/ breakfast shop! Located in a strip mall, so if you weren't looking, you might miss it. It is a quaint little place with a very friendly staff. My hubby ordered the firery breakfast sandwich, eggs, cheese, chorizo, and pickled jalapeños. He thought it was delicious. I ordered the goat cheese with tomato jam sandwich. I felt that it is a bit misrepresented as a sandwich, as it really is just toast with tomato jam and goat cheese. I put the pickles that were served on the side on it and it was more like a sandwich. It really needed the crunch and acid to make it a true sandwich!! I truly enjoyed it and would order it again! We also ordered some cookies to go, the cornmeal lemon is the only one I have tried so far, absolutely delightful! The pastries are delicious! Well laminated & an interesting assortment. We got the fig jam & pistachio danish, chocolate almond croissant, & salted caramel Brittany. All were excellent. This place is easy to miss, tucked into the corner of an outlet building but worth the trip! The only negative I have is their chai - truly disappointing. It tasted like ginger water. This is one of my favorite bakeries! I travel a lot for work, and when I'm in town I make sure to go every day. I usually just have a pastry and coffee, but I always order one of their breakfast sandwiches on my first and last day in town. It was good but I wish I got a muffin instead, I think it was too sweet for me in the morning. There wasn't much seating inside so I imagine most people get things to go. This lovely little bakery, located in a strip mall off 14th St was the perfect way to start our morning. We greatly enjoyed the egg/bacon/cheese panini with light creamy eggs & local farm-raised bacon, as well as a buttery flakey croissant with a goat cheese, ham & tart cranberry spread. The staff was very friendly & helpful, greeting regulars & new customers with a smile. There is very limited seating as this is a small restaurant, so taking your selections to go may be the best option. I wish we'd found this little gem sooner on our trip so we'd be able to enjoy it more often! read more

This is a review of dinner at new 8th Street location. It wasn't busy so the QR code ordering seemed silly. Clearly only order as you need food since I ordered my meal and it was delivered all at once. Cacio e Pepe is a favorite of mine but there's wasn't as good as the frozen version at Trader Joe's! Prices are high too. Maybe I'll check back in a few months to see if things improve. read more

I wanted to give this place a try based on the reviews but I decided to leave when I pulled up and realized I couldn't go inside. This mocha is THE best I've ever had. I noticed they use the local dairy We buy our milk from. So the reviews drew me here but I ultimately walked away. Showed up early hoping to grab a bite before heading to the village commons only to find you can't even go in. Curbside ordering only. I have a dairy allergy so I inquired if there's any dairy in the breakfast sandwich bread. The girl taking our order had gone back in to ask and was really friendly and sweet about doing so. The answer was no (great!) but there's cream in the eggs (... bummer, ok). I see they offer another breakfast sandwich that has chorizo on it and decide to inquire about a build my own type of sandwich - I actually just wanted chorizo and goat cheese. No egg. She goes back in to ask and then comes out to say that the goat cheese can only be put on certain items and not on the breakfast sandwiches. At that point, I don't really get it and nothing else sounded good if I were to get it without either the egg or the regular cheese so I just decided to pass. So, my experience was pretty lame and I wouldn't go back personally. However, I do want to note that my friend got the vegetarian sandwich and said it was really, really good. They even wrote her name all cute on the order which I thought was a fun touch. Seemed great but not really allergy friendly. read more

Probably provided my favorite bites of food during my last trip to TC. The egg in the breakfast sandwich light and creamy and the bread was solid. I also got the pesto chicken sandwich, which was also a strong offering. I also appreciated the fact that it wasn't located on Front St, so parking was free and easy. I can't speak highly enough about the quality of the breakfast baked goods we got here. We wanted a quick breakfast prior to heading out to Sleeping Bear Dunes and were not disappointed. My wife had the Savory Tile with fig jam, goat cheese and bacon. Outstanding. I had two pastries, a morning bun and a peach and berry Danish. They were both so fresh and perfectly baked. The Coffee was delicious as well. We ordered two ham and cheese croissants to eat after our hike and a peanut butter cookie and cherry shortbread cookie. Both cookies were probably the best we've ever had from a bakery. That shortbread cookie could get me driving 7 hours tomorrow just to get another, it was that good. They also serve sandwiches but we got there too early on Tuesday or we would have had those to go as well. You have to check this place out. read more

Nice little bakery! As mentioned, it's tucked in the corner of a little strip mall, directly across the street from 7-Eleven. Stopped in to grab coffee & something for breakfast. They have a small menu of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, some specials for the day (soup, quiche, frittata.) they've got some wonderful looking croissants, rolls, breads, muffins etc. There's one small table to sit down at and a bar area with stools. We had the breakfast sandwich with bacon. Super tasty, cheesy, grilled panini like on focaccia bread. Love how they make their eggs in a square so it fits neatly on the bread - great idea!!! First off all the location was easy to find. They still had the COVID no going inside as apparently they are really short on space due to rapid growth. They had all items on display in the window which worked great as long as it is not rainy!! We tried a few different loaves of bread on our visit to town. Our favorite was the multigrain. Very dense. The lemon bar to be honest was not as good as the ones I make at home. Surprisingly not a strong lemon flavor as I would have expected. The chocolate croissant was flaky but very little chocolate filling. I actually like Panera better on that. The cream cheese Danish was good but not great. The morning buns or cinnamon buns were outstanding. Light. Flaky. Buttery and soft on the inside with plenty of cinnamon sugar rolled in. Excellent. I gave a 4 for the breads as they were delicious and could be a 5. The morning bun a 5. But the rest was good but really an average 3. The other thing was the price which was outrageous. The $9 for a loaf or bread was not too bad but $5 per treat for the rest was really overpriced for the quality (I would just get a morning bun for that price). I have been at a homemade bakery at our hometown in Wisconsin and had excellent quality for $1 each. read more
