This place is a hidden gem in Payson. Had driven up from Phoenix and needed a pick me up after the drive. Decided to stop here and it was everything plus more! The coffee was excellent...as someone who prefers a dark roasted profile, this place nailed it. As for the atmosphere, it was cozy and comfy and had a great feel inside. I sat for easily a half hour and just enjoyed sipping my americano and chatting with others. Definitely check this place out and be sure to say hi to the friendly kitty outside too! A must-stop in Payson! Stopped by on our way home from camping and such a pleasant surprise to run into a great coffee shop. The coffee itself is delicious, but plenty of fun add-ons (including local honey and lavender!). Will most certainly be returning when I'm back in town. read more

This coffee place is the one of the best local shops I've been to. I just visited Payson for a day trip to feel some winter out of Arizona and this place just multiplied such vibes on it. Stopped here a few times on our trips to/through Payson from the valley. Very nice, usually quiet place to take a rest and rehydrate (re-caffeinate). Usually we are on a motorcycle so nice to enjoy the patio and shade trees to cool down. I'm sure if you live in the area this place is not so "secret". But I enjoy that it isn't on the main road through town. Kinda feels like a hidden jewel to someone who isn't a local to the area. Cheers! read more

I stopped in to get a coffee at Common Grounds today and almost passed it thinking Apple Maps had sent me to a make believe place. I'm glad I turned around because my Georgia Latte was delicious! I didn't get the barista's name but he was very friendly and recommended this drink to me. I also got a brownie and it was equally delicious. Crafted to remember! They have some unusual flavour combinations. My wife had the honey bee latte, which consists of locally harvested honey and locally grown lavender. I had an americano, but after tasting my wife's drink I went in and asked for the flavour shots in my americano. As an americano drinker I'm not often in for sweetened drinks. But wow was this good! Tanya took such good care of us! She described options well and gave excellent service. Thanks Tanya! This would be my go to place if I lived here. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much I just wanted my morning coffee while I was in town and I was amazed. This is a cute little neighborhood coffee shop but their lobby is closed for the meantime during this horrible pandemic. however, they are still doing walk up window orders. I got my usual vanilla latte and they also have nondairy milk alternatives. It makes me sad that this shop is over 100 miles from home but I will definitely be stopping by whenever I'm in town. We like to stop anywhere local whenever we can and I was so happy we stopped at Common Grounds! The sweet lady working was so nice and I loved the early morning vibe. We both ordered hot dirty chai lattes with double shots and oat milk, and I can easily say this was hands down one of my favorite dirty chai tea lattes I've ever had!! I am actually mixed about this coffee shop. Something we're excellent: the iced lattes and the jalapeño and cheese bagels were excellent that we got. But my son got an iced mocha that just tasted like Hershey's chocolate milk without even a hint of coffee and the lemon blueberry muffin was dry and had an odd texture- like dry corn bread and was limited in flavor.
