I'm adding this to my list of places that are worth driving to Virginia Beach. I live in Norfolk, which has plenty of great restaurants. Only a few restaurants are worth the drive. I ordered the prosciutto breakfast sandwich and it was freaking phenomenal! The pancakes were a different taste than I'm used to but were great. I even liked the breakfast sausage and I hate breakfast sausage! The wait was a little long so do keep that in mind when coming to eat but the wait was worth it for the delicious food! Fourth time here and the food service was amazing as always. We rolled in at 2:30 on Memorial Day, which I'm sure was insanely busy, and the staff ALL treated us as if we were the first customers of the day. Breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg and cheese might be my favorite breakfast sandwich ever. Runny egg, fresh sausage, delicious bun - perfect. GF got biscuits and gravy and devoured the entire (huge) plate. Servers were all smiles and on top of everything, even when we ordered a small dessert a few minutes after close. My friend and I came for breakfast and coffee today, and it was good. It got pretty busy right after we sat down, and the staff was awesome. They worked together to make sure we were taking care of. I was impressed with the customer service and very happy with my first experience. The food was good, my friend ordered a breakfast sandwich and I have the dish with country ham, waffle, egg and cheese. We ordered the strawberry crepe to share, and it was Ok. I don't think I would order the strawberry one again, but every thing else was awesome. I will for sure be back from some good breakfast and coffee!!!! Although there was a very long wait for food (I arrived with a party of 6 at about 1:30pm on a weekday and it was about 45 minutes after being seating to receiving our lunch), I do appreciate the effort from this restaurant enough to overlook the long wait. Almost all restaurants nowadays keep overusing the term "farm to table" and it never really means anything or adds anything to the experience or food, but here I finally get that "farm to table" feel. I ordered the peach grilled cheese and it was very reasonably priced and delicious, actually the best version of a grilled cheese I've ever tasted. The pastries are also done very well and made in house. I will definitely be back again, but maybe I'll try coming earlier to avoid the long wait. Went with friends. We had mixed reviews. I got a version of eggs Benedict that was good. My buddy got a prosciutto breakfast sandwich that was inedible. I know it's supposed to be salty but man it was bad. The staff was extremely nice and pretty as well! They get that 3rd star. The restaurant was clean and nicely appointed. Do not get the chicken salad here. It was my first time here and I ordered the chicken salad and it was awful. The "burnt" peanut spread they put on the bread is disgusting and overpowering. I had to scrape it off and it still taste burnt. read more

This place is AMAZING! They really know how to do a farm-to-table breakfast. I had the crepe and hubby tried the eggs benedict; mine was good but his was epic! They also have good coffee and croissants (although I was a little bummed that they don't have decaf coffee). The decor in the restaurant is rustic and beautiful. By far the best breakfast I've had in a long time. Farm fresh ingredients-locally sourced as well as their own garden in the back of the restaurant. Food tasted good but customer service was lacking. We went for Wednesday brunch and they had a couple servers but seemed swamped. The waitress we had at first was very helpful and told us that we could get drip coffee refills after our lattes were finished. Another waitress took over, and waited longer than a handful of later customers to have our order taken, food served and check given to us. The waitress took my wife's latte before she was finished and almost took my food before I was finished as well. My wife did find what looked to be a hair in her food, but when the waitress finally came to check back up on us about 45 minutes after we had received our food, and had an attitude of "what do you want me to do" when my wife brought it up. After I mentioned I wasn't done With my food. I finished my last couple of bites right after that and the waitress didn't bring our check for another 10-15 minutes for us and made a remark about not wanting to take my food away too soon with a snarky attitude. I got a very condescending "We only have whole milk". So I ordered my friend a peanut butter croissant and left without coffee. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit because I like food like this but I have to say there were a couple people in the party that are very fussy about the types of food they eat and did not like it. One of my friends had the sausage gravy and biscuits and loved it, another had the sorghum pancakes and equally liked them.
