Well, the deli is pretty good and they have a decent selection of groceries and goodies. I figured they'd have some hand soap and other household necessities but it seems to be more food-based products so just a heads up! I would definitely not come back here while COVID is still a thing. Workers and customers were not wearing masks. Definitely did not feel comfortable. With cases rising, the lack of acknowledgement was troubling. I ordered 3 items ahead of time. One of which they forgot to cook so I had to wait inside with all the people who probably think the pandemic is a hoax. read more

A long time local establishment ownership has recently changed. The new owners are very friendly and I appreciate the more modern POS equipment. They have great weekly pizza specials and a full deli selection of sandwiches. Decent craft beer selection and wine. My only complaint is they've cleared shelf space and I'm guessing it will be for "vape" type products. I wish that type of product wasn't in such high demand. read more

Madison Community Market has quickly become a family favorite! We have a standard order that includes the Large Calzone (steak, extra cheese, onion, pepper, and sauce on the side), a Large 1/2 Hawaiian pizza (extra pineapple), garlic bread with cheese, and large fries. The calzone is HUGE and not greasy at all - the flavor is absolutely incredible, and you can really taste the care that goes into making it. The new owners have truly impressed us with their friendly service, excellent food quality, expanded menu, and great prices. We're so happy to have found this gem! I love the Mac attack pizza here! Definitely the best one in the valley! I love how the lettuce is added last so it's not soggy and gross. This store is cool because you can order food and find items and household items! Staff is cool and service is quick! The store has a old fashioned general store ambiance to it! I stop by in the morning and get breakfast sandwiches and Arizona tea before work! I forgot to take a picture of the Cheesy bread but they are fantastic as well! Guys, I am speechless. This was hands down no question the best pizza both my dad and I have ever had (I'm 38 and he's 65 - and we LOVE pizza.) Your team came out last night and were so friendly and so genuinely interested and excited to share this masterpiece with us. The pizza could have been terrible and we still would have been so happy we stopped in. Back to the pizza - to the general pizza consumer, at first glance it's over the top, "too much meat" (who even says that?!?) and a lot to take in. 6.5 lbs of meat!! To my dad and I - perfection. The flavors were separate but in harmony - each meat was perfectly prepared and seasoned, and all the right proportions were used. No one meat overshadowed the pizza. The cheeses (four of them, I think one of you said?) further added to the explosion of flavor in each bite. We heeded your serving size warning - two slices - though we both agreed we could have done at least another half slice, but with a pile of s'mores awaiting us we decided against it. Well, my dad did...an hour later I had my third piece and did not regret it at all Bottom line - you NEED to order this pizza. Unexpectedly great pizza, subs, breakfast sandwiches, AND Ice Cream! We vacation in Madison for 2 weeks every summer and have been pleasantly surprised with this spot only a minute from Eidelweiss village. Pizza = Legit. If you want something a little different try the Big Mac pizza. It sounds a little strange, but the combination of flavors is spot on. This was the first place I've tried it, but then noticed it on other pizza menus and gave it a whirl and no other place has held up. Subs = Legit. The chicken bomb sub is excellent, although they appear to use pre sliced chicken, which is odd. The flavor was amazing though. Breakfast Sandwich = Legit. They have a TON of options (their claim is the biggest selection in NH, which very well may be true). I had the ham, egg, and cheese on English muffin. It was excellent - the ham was great quality and super tasty. Breakfast Burrito = Bad I was hoping for more - as breakfast burritos are my jam. Unfortunately this was one of the poorest breakfast burritos I've had. The burrito itself appeared to be wheat and was dry and brittle. The cheese was hardly melted, the sausage was a patty cut in 2 and was very greasy. There was noting else in the burrito. They need to go back to the drawing board with this one. Ice Cream = Excellent! This is a new offering for them and we ordered not expecting much and were pleasantly surprised. They had some excellent flavor choices that we loved: Caramel Mocha and Cappuccino Crunch. They also offered waffle cones for the same price as a regular cone. We'd previously been driving 20 minutes into N. Conway for ice cream, but no longer need to. Don't let the unassuming ice cream setup deter you - very yummy! Hot Dogs = Legit. They make Rhode Island style hot dogs (never knew that was a thing) and they are very good and very reasonably priced. read more

I'm so disappointed. I tried to call in an order tonight. I attempted to order 3 very simple items - chicken fingers, a sub and onion rings. I believe the person who attempted to take my order was Joe (but I'm not entirely sure). I told him my order and he snapped at me and said let's just stop right there, I was only able to write down one thing, what are you rattling on about? Um, what??!!! How do you talk to a customer like that? We had their pizza a few nights ago and it was really good. However, I refuse to be treated rudely when trying to patron a business. There was no need for the attitude. My order wasn't complicated and ultimately you made yourself sound not only rude, but stupid. This was our first time at this deli/market. It's only a few minutes away from our vacation house that our family owns the next town over. It was around 2 pm in the afternoon and just coming back from a day at the lake, looking for a quick lunch. The views from the outdoor seating looked pretty cool. Inside, there were quite a few people waiting in line to pay, so we figured we'd come to the right local place. I usually don't like to leave bad reviews as it negatively impacts a small local business, but hopefully this would be a lesson to learn for the future. We ordered 2 subs and some potato salad- nothing special; just a steak and cheese and the 'mutual fund'. We seemed to be the only people waiting in there for over 45 minutes for only two subs. There were 3 people working, so we figured it wouldn't be too long of a wait, even if it were busy. The cashier staff was nice, but a few of the deli staff, not so much. After our 45 minute wait for only two subs, they forgot to package the potato salad. I reminded them, an older man at the deli gave me an attitude for asking how it comes. We paid 18 dollars for the two subs, half a pound of potato salad and an Arizona iced tea. The subs in the end were not as amazing as we heard it would be and for how long we waited for them. They forgot the cheese on the steak and cheese sub... something hard to miss. The other sub we asked for onions and tomato, and instead got neither of those, and just lettuce and no cheese (with the rest of the sub meat). We were really hoping to like this place, but unfortunately it was overall annoying and not worth the drive or the 18 dollars. We just had a great week in Madison and my whole family was so impressed by this place. We ended up having multiple meals here. The first time my husband and I got a cheese pizza and a chicken parm grinder with mushrooms and onions. The grinder was so fantastic we decided to do dinner another night for the family and got their steak bomb pizza with bacon and bbq wings. My family has been going to the community market and deli for over 20 years. We have ordered countless pizzas from them as we have come to expect the quality they usually deliver. On our last visit, we once again ordered the pizza that we always look forward to when we stay at our house in Madison. We picked up our pizza with much anticipation to get it back to the house and enjoy as we always do. Much to our disappointment and surprise it appeared as though the crust was not hand made as usual and as expected, but was instead a pre-made frozen crust. Quite simply we just didn't enjoy the pizza at all and we ended up throwing it away as we were so disappointed. This past weekend we were at our house in Madison once again and I called the community market and deli and asked them If their are crust was in fact fresh or frozen like the last time. Jay answered the phone and he told me that the crust has been the same crust for 18 years. Clearly we know the difference between frozen and fresh crust and have come to expect and the quality that we so enjoy. When I tried to explain what we received that evening he simply hung up on me which was so incredibly rude. As a result we did not get anything on this trip from the community market and deli, and quite frankly, we may never go back there again. We will also make our family members aware of this experience, as they always order pizza from there as well when visiting our house. This was the low point of our Fourth of July weekend.
