The Dawg Eat Dog food truck is an absolute must-try!…read more When I review hot dogs around the country, I'm always searching for vendors who understand the true art of serving a great hot dog. For me, the gold standard is simple: a hot dog that reminds me of that first grilled dog at a family BBQ--perfect char, served hot, and not buried under a mountain of toppings. One thing I'll never understand is boiled hot dogs. Boiling strips away flavor. If you're a hot dog vendor, take notes from Dawg Eat Dog and step up your game. What impressed me? They grilled the hot dog. They toasted the bun. The dog was hot and flavorful. I suspect they may steam the hot dogs before grilling, which is actually a smart move for food trucks because it reduces wait times while still serving a hot product. Whatever they're doing, it works. I found Dawg Eat Dog at Sumner Rhubarb Days, and after one bite, they jumped straight to #2 on my Best Hot Dog List. Now, for full disclosure, the #1 spot is still held by Smokey Joe's Hot Dogs LLC in Peoria, Arizona. I can say that confidently because I owned that stylish shipping container restaurant myself! And before anyone asks, my personal favorite hot dog of all time is still the 7-Eleven Spicy Bite eaten completely naked--no condiments. Sometimes simplicity wins. If you're still searching for your go-to hot dog, use Dawg Eat Dog as your benchmark for what a quality hot dog experience should be. Great flavor, great execution, and a great example of how hot dogs are supposed to be served. Nick's Hot Dog Rating: Char: 9/10 Bun: 9/10 Flavor: 9/10 Overall Experience: 9/10 Bottom Line: You won't be disappointed. #DawgEatDog #HotDogReview #SumnerRhubarbDays #GrilledNotBoiled #HotDogLife #FoodTruckFinds #NicksHotDogReviews

I went with a Seattle dog because I love cream cheese and it was great! The only thing that could have made it better would be if they had some sliced tomatoes you could add on... well I also think it would be great with a little chili but I prefer chili with beans and their chili is an all meat chili so I didn't go that route. They also had a variety of sauces out for you to customize your hot dog as well as jalepeno slices but it was difficult to open the containers for jalepenos and relish, ect. Over all though, it's a solid hot dog food truck and I would come back for another Seattle dog!

The staff was friendly and efficient - even though it was busy, everyone got taken care of quickly. There were no surprises on the menu - all the classics we expected to see were present, even though we ended up ordering a couple of dishes that may have been unique to Larb. Overall, our experience was welcoming, comfortable, friendly, and delicious. FYI, the sign was a little difficult to pick out from the driver's seat of my car, so check your GPS before you go, if you're not a regular.

Not pictured but grilled squid was absolutely perfect. Light seasoning that delivered a strong punch & so tender. I absolutely still salivate over this. The Sai Krok Isarn (pork sausage) was everything it's supposed to be. It's tangy, fermented with a slightly sour flavor. It's grilled with crispy skin and juicy interior. The Tum Luang Prabang (LAO) is everything it is supposed to be. The papaya ribbons were fresh and crunchy. The sauce was dank and funky and sour and just as spicy as I asked. Nham Khao Tod is the most perfect. The crispy rice with fermented pork and pork skins, fresh herbs, peanuts. It was savory, tangy, amazing textural variety. The Pad Thai was sweet and savory and coated in just the right amount of sauce. Tom Zab is a balanced of sour and spicy with tender riblets. The mango and sticky rice is the perfect way to end a meal. The savory notes from coconut milk with the sweet mango. Butterfly tea lemonade was delicious as it was beautiful. I can't wait to come back. Our server was amazing. She was friendly and really understood when I was telling her i wanted my food Pet Pet. They didn't waiver once on my spice level. I asked about a Lao/thai dish that i didn't see on the menu and she told me about two other options I could get. And indeed I did. And just that extra thoughtfulness went the extra mile for me. I'll be back for sure. A new fave for me.

It was pretty quick service and price are sooo much more reasonable than other food trucks nearby. The line was long but it moved pretty quickly. The portion might look small but it was hefty. I got the lamb kebab roll and the bhel puri. Flavor was spot on. They were addicting. The lamb was stuffed in the roll and it was soft and very easy to eat. Definitely want to try soft serve as it looks sooo good on their social media page. I definitely want to check out their store eventually but for now, food truck it is!

Honestly this place is great for a small snack anyway. We got the bhel puri (not pictured) and a lamb kebab roll. It was my first time ever having bhel puri and I liked it! I enjoyed nibbling on the rice puffs but found that I needed a protein or else I would get flavor fatigue. We ended up placing a second order for the lamb kebab roll, which was AMAZING. Lamb is already my favorite protein so I knew I was going to like it, but I didn't expect it to be so good. It was very well seasoned and even a little juicy. I wouldn't say I have a small appetite, but I found this one roll to be a perfect portion for lunch. Service: (5/5) It's a very casual spot so you order at the counter and bus everything yourself. They're very nice, no other notes needed!
