My Mom had a recurring appointment for the last couple of years (every few months or so) across the street, so at anytime I chauffeur her, I make it a point to try a new spot on this block while waiting for her to get done. That said, I believe this spot is the last on my "to try" list. And to be honest, as many times as I've walked through this block, I never even really noticed this place until recently - but they were closing or closed at the time, so I vowed to try them out on Mom's next appointment run. It's kinda hidden, tucked away in a little corner, but don't let that fool you: they're pretty popular. There's seating for 4 on their patio area and maybe seating for 10 inside (more if you don't mind squishing in.) Most customers take their stuff to-go, though, so it really isn't an issue. Came through on a mid-week mid-afternoon and I haven't had anything all day. Since we were a bit early, Mom had time to get a snack. She wanted nothing more than a soup, so she went for the coconut red lentil (which came with a piece of bread) and and iced matcha latte. I was gonna go for the egg-cellent sandwich but soon as I saw the Lox Toast on their off-the-menu specials, it was a done deal. Had that with the iced chaga matcha. LOX TOAST: First bite and I was dunzo! I've had my share of lox toasts, but this might have just made my top 2. The bread was toasted soft. The avocado was fresh and creamy. They were generous with the amount of salmon and the topped onion served as a palate cleanser of sort while adding texture and flavor. If there was a reason to come back here, it's for this! ICED CHAGA MATCHA: I'm a fan of an iced matcha latte - doesn't matter where from, it's my go-to. However, this is the first time I've seen it as a "supercharged mushroom" version. I was far too curious, so I went for it. It still had that familiar matcha taste, but with added depth in flavor. (I have to apologize, it's a bit difficult to explain.) I'll just leave it at this: if you like matcha, try this. FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 4. VALUE: 3.5. PARKING: There is a parking structure at the opposite end of the block - 2 hours free. Otherwise, metered street parking. OVERALL: 4.25. I think it's only a two (maybe three) person crew which explains why the tables don't get wiped down and the trash can getting neglected (it got so full, things were starting to spill out.) I told them about it and they were quick to resolve the problem. Other than that, woulda been a perfect 5. I'm a fan. I see why they're so popular. Will definitely come back to try their other eats!

Had hot chocolate and a lox toast for breakfast. Lox toast was fresh and delicious! Perfect portion for breakfast. I requested for hot chocolate with coconut milk. It was perfect with the right amount of sweetness and quality was great!

    Arugula salad

I ordered the Arugula salad and it came with missing ingredients. So odd. They didn't include the cherry tomatoes or the shallots. I just got a bed of arugula with cheese.

A lovely authentic cafe - marble counters, espresso machine - fresh flowers and the rare LA find: VEGAN CROISSANT! The gracious barista made for a pleasant encounter - His Bob Hoskins charm was sealed with a wink! The drip coffee though had all the screen command of Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston combined.

Had some time to kill and wanted a chill spot to hang out for a few hours. Stopped by Thursday noon for lunch. There was only one person sitting inside. Food + drink 5/5 Chicken Panini was delicious!! It was just the right portion for a quick yet filling lunch! Arnold Palmer was really yummy! Added one pack of brown sugar and it was just the right flavor! Refills are $1! Service 5/5 The gentleman helping me was patient and nice. The food came out within 5-10 minutes from when I ordered. Ambiance 4/5 Very calm and chill and away from the crowded streets or Beverly Hills. A little hole in the wall that can easily be missed! There's a very strong food smell inside so I chose to sit outside. Price 5/5 $19 for a yummy, healthy, and organic lunch! Overall 5/5 This is the perfect spot for those who work in the area or are just in a time crunch! I was in and out of there within 30 minutes even though I really took my time to eat!

Egg - cellent Sandwich, Avocado Toast, Vanilla Latte

Cute little cafe! Hidden gem I should say! We got vanilla lattes with oat milk and it was perfection! Hubs got the eggcelent sandwich with no bacon and I got the avocado toast and everything was organic, clean , healthy and delicious!! Will definitely be back again!

Iced chai latte and a warm prosciutto baquette

It's a small but popular coffee shop in Beverly Hills. Two small outdoor tables are located outside, a few small tables inside and a wall counter with a few stools. They usually get busy during the morning and lunch time rush and rightfully so. Their Iced chai latte taste like horchata with the perfect amount of sweet. The chicken panini with bacon is my go to for lunch, perfect crisp with a generous amount of avocado spread between each bite served with a small side salad. Their prosciutto sandwich is also great on the run, you can ask them to warm it up and it's the perfect bite to go. I've probably had most of their desserts and although it changes every few months, they are all tasty. The best part is of course the staff. All of them are kind, always with a smile, and helpful even on the busiest of days. Taurino, Luis, Fernando, Felix & Tatiana do an incredible job running the coffee shop. Even if they have a long line, stop by. It's worth it. And be sure to sign up for their rewards.

Cute little cafe in Beverly Hills, one of many. Street parking, or you could park on Bedford in the flats and walk down into downtown LA. It's an orange themed cafe, the service was really good and the owner / cashier was super sweet and patient and attentive and I think that's what drove the ratings up. I had a to go order of a yogurt parfait and it was good, I wish there was more yogurt and less granola though. But I'd definitely try Comoncy in BH again... it's better than the other location. Would recommend!

    Slimy Thai Salad
    Eli O.

Coffee is good. Service is consistently nice. The thai salad is a disaster -- old and greasy fried bits, tangy, and too salty. Besides the flavor, I'm dissatisfied that the leaves I got were "bottom of the container". I came 10 AM on Friday, and there was enough of a turnover to take out a new container of greens - couldn't I get salad from that new container? :( If I wanted slimy, soggy salad, I'd get mixed greens from Costco and leave it in my fridge for two weeks. I don't think I'll be buying food here again.

    Pretty mocha

We randomly came here, because the place we originally was going to, had no cook atm & this place was right next to the car garage we parked at, so it was convenient, because we had a FREE 2 hour parking. Came in, the sign for food, was literally in the back, in a very narrow area. Not so convenient. I took a photo of the Breakfast menu, because standing there looking at it, I felt like I was going to be in the way of people, because this place is quite small. It's more for a "order, pick up and go" kind of place. The prices are quite high, but that's what you get for being in kind of like I guess the District area? Or is it just because it's Beverly Hills? We were visiting from the Bay Area so I'm not quite sure. Customer service was pretty nice and straightforward. Nothing bad about it. Food was good. I got the, "Egg-cellent Sandwich." It was actually really good, with a side of salad. I also got a mocha, with a, "fancy" design." My husband seemed to like his food too. So, basically the visit wasn't terrible or anything, so I would be back again, If I'm ever in Beverly Hills the next time I come visit Southern California. Hope they put the menu somewhere else though, or add another one behind the registers.

This place has been such a staple in hollywood and it's always good. I love that they change the menu to try new things but also keep some of the old goodies. I'm not a French fry person (i don't order because i try to stay away from fried food) and it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - seasoned perfectly and pairs well with the aioli sauce. My absolute favorite were the tuna tostadas! I was surprised that they would be my favorite dish as we only ordered it as an extra shareable plate! The tuna tasted fresh and it was perfectly seasoned! It went really well with the avocado and the chip that was underneath the tuna. I would definitely go back for just the tuna tostadas! For the drinks I ordered a green juice, I really enjoyed it but my friend didn't like it as much because she doesn't like the ginger flavor. However, after we raved about our multiple dining experiences at LAVO Las Vegas, we were surprised to learn that none of our relatives had ever dined at the restaurant's Los Angeles location. So, when the opportunity arose, I made an after-Christmas dinner reservation through OpenTable and excitedly waited. We knew exactly where LAVO Los Angeles was located, as we had frequently driven past the Sunset Medical Tower on Sunset Boulevard and had eaten at the same restaurant space before it changed hands several times over the past decade or so. They offer valet service, which only accepts credit card payments, and because of the restaurant's location, you might as well use the service, because you'd be hard-pressed to find street parking. Our group of six arrived at the restaurant about 30 minutes before our reservation and were greeted by a friendly hostess who asked whether we were ready to be seated or preferred to wait in the bar. We chose to be seated, and she escorted us into the quiet, warm, yet festively decorated dining room. The busser approached us, took our water service request, and informed us about who our server would be. Our server, Addison, came to our table while the busser refilled our water glasses and offered assorted citrus slices to flavor them. After my brother-in-law showed Addison the magnum of wine he brought and asked if the sommelier could uncork the bottle, since it was not only a 2006 vintage but also had a long, possibly fragile cork, even though they kept the bottle in their personal wine storage. Unfortunately, they didn't have a sommelier on duty, and Addison informed us of the restaurant's impending end-of-year closure and confidently said she could uncork it with her trusty corkscrew. However, my brother-in-law decided to give it the "ol' college try" and successfully uncorked the bottle. FOOD: -Fritto Misto: a platter of lightly battered and fried zucchini, shrimp, calamari, and vinegary peppers with marinara was delivered to our table and was quickly shared and devoured. Everyone felt the fritto misto was light, delicious, and perfectly cooked. $28 -The Meatball: We've often seen this appetizer ordered at the Las Vegas site, but we never ordered it because we felt it was too much food to share between us. However, now that we had our family surrounding us, we ordered it. The 16-oz meatball is made with fresh-ground imperial Wagyu, Italian sausage, and veal. It is served with whipped ricotta and marinara. We shared the tender, toothsome meatball among us and sopped up the sauce with garlic bread. $34 -Semolina Sesame Garlic Bread: Addison highly recommended this garlic bread to pair with The Meatball and sipping on our Cabernet blend wine. The lightly grilled-toasted loaf was served with three dipping sauces (marinara, basil pesto, & Gorgonzola dolce). $18 -Zitoni Genovese: braised short rib, sweet onions, pecorino Romano. I received a generous portion of Neapolitan or Sicilian zitoni pasta (larger ziti tubes) and an intensely flavorful, tomato-wine-based, fall-apart tender, slow-braised short ribs ragù. This comfort-food pasta dish was so rich and filling that I could barely eat half the portion and ended up bringing home leftovers. $33 -Faroe Island Salmon Oreganato: My husband cut into the salmon filet, which had a light crisp coating of breadcrumbs and revealed the fillet's tender medium-rare doneness. The rich, buttery-tasting salmon filet sat atop a melange of sautéed vegetables and was dressed with a lemon, white wine, and garlic butter sauce. My husband jokingly said he could feel his heart health improving with each bite. $39 The rest of my family ordered their own entrees, and when we were nearly finished with our meals, we decided to share a dessert. We ordered the luscious 20 Layer Chocolate Cake ($29), and each of us commented on the "decadence" of chocolate, peanut butter, and mascarpone. During our dining experience, Addison informed us that LAVO Los Angeles would sadly be closing at the end of the year. We were happy to have supported this restaurant, and it was great to see so many others show their support during the Holidays.

They have indoor and outdoor seating, but it feels very open air inside with tons of green plants and those open doors to their patio. Full bar with incredible libations, including less common beverages with Mezcal and cool Liqueur. All day breakfast available. Enjoy brunch and brunch cocktails on weekends. Enjoy Starters/Shareables, Salads & Bowls, Smoothies, Stone Oven Pizzas (available with Vegan Mozzarella or Cashew Ricotta options for dairy free folks, GF dough option dough also available), Entrees, Cold Pressed Juice, Coffee, Lattes, Sodas, Teas and Baked Goods. Family friendly, kids menu available. Dog friendly. Gender neutral restroom and the coolest handwashing vanity area with more plants :) Parking choices range from valet to local garage or street. We were in a garage at an event close by so opted to stay there and walk exactly one block over. Everything is fairly reasonable, including great deals on their weekday happy hour 3pm to 6pm, featuring $12 Draft Cocktails, $10 glasses of wine, $7 draft beer and a small variety of Bar Snacks. I have been to their Venice location on Abbot Kinney Blvd and the vibes are similar, but more beachy and crowded. Both take reservations and I definitely recommend on weekends and end of the weeknights. Definitely team The Butcher's Daughter - West Hollywood. Be back soon :)

I got the skirt steak cooked medium rare -- flavor was good, but it was a little tough to cut. I think it would've paired even better with some garlic butter or chimichurri on the side. The mac and cheese was SO good and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Creamy, flavorful, and definitely something I'd order again. The pork chops were delicious and packed with flavor, but the spinach underneath was a bit too bitter for my taste. The mashed potatoes were creamy, soft, and comforting. We also loved the Brussels sprouts and Caesar salad -- both were super solid sides. Drinks were perfect and balanced out the dishes really well. Service and atmosphere were great too. Would definitely come back to try more items on the menu next time we are in the area.

It was bland and portion was just smaller than I expected. There is a location in Pasadena and the pasta was seasoned well and balanced and what I feel the portion was much bigger. I do have to assume it's due to the location of this establishment. The ambiance was pretty slow however the inside decorations were so cute and pleasant on the eyes. I wouldn't come here for the food, perhaps a drink and a small app.

We ordered the Wagyu burger, egg white turkey omelette with potatoes, & a side of bagels. The food was decent but very bland--nothing stood out, & we had to add salt for flavor to everything. Portions were small, with barely any avocado or pico, and not very filling. The bagels were good, but they gave very little cream cheese and even charged extra for more, which bad barely enough for one side of a beagle. Service was a bit disappointing. Our server was nice but It wasn't busy, yet our server rarely checked on us--we had to refill our own water & go get the pitcher. They also don't clearly mention when choosing sides it cost extra, which can add up quickly but a heads up would have been appreciated. Overall, we paid about $65 for two & left underwhelmed. It's fine for a casual hangout, but not somewhere I'd go to be impressed. I will say on a positive note, the baked goods, specifically the soft chocolate chip cookies, tasted very fresh! Other than that though we were quite a bit disappointed.

They have breakfast sandwiches, granola bowls, pancakes, omelettes, burgers, hot dogs, salads, bakery pastries and cake slices. There's a fridge full of various fresh cheeses and another fridge with ready to bake breads and pastries that you can take home to bake yourself. Lots of variety snacks throughout the store; often ones that you do not find at regular grocery stores. For example, they have dang Thai Rice chips, which are bomb good. I used to only be able to find these on Thrive market, so it's good to see a local place sell them. Staff were all friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. Interesting note is that they have various checkout counters throughout the store; it doesn't matter which counter you pay at. From the deli, I have tried... 1. Kale Salad with Spicy Peanuts & Queso Fresco It's technically supposed to be a healthy dish, but the sauce was too sweet for my liking. I think the sweetness is from the honey & the dried cranberries in it. Otherwise, the kale was fresh and spicy peanuts added a little bit of kick 2. Tarragon Chicken Salad The chicken was on the drier side, but the sour cream sauce was light and creamy - could use more herbs for flavoring though. I'll come back again for when I need a quick grub! Worth checking out if you are in the area
