5:30am in line for grand opening!

I have to say, the window aesthetic is cute and simple. Straight to the coffee! LA's own, Alfred Coffee, opened their 2nd walk-up location in LA! This is their "Alfred Window" version in the middle of Beverly Hills. Known for their Vanilla Iced Latte, I skip it and go for their flat white always. This time I tried their Hot Chagaccino and it didn't not disappoint. Light syrup with almond milk gave it this velvety foam on top and not so sweet taste. Service on grand opening was on point! They were cranking out drink after drink. By 5:30am, I was already 15th in line! They gave out free mini tote, goodies and free coffee of course! Parking garages available for free for the first 2 hours nearby or metered parking.

Love the fact that they opened earlier than most cafes in the neighborhood; and they make hot breakfast food. Had their breakfast burrito which was steamy hot with a thin crusty wrap filled with soft scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese melt, and perfectly baked finger potatoes. Got the garlic aioli sauce which was just delicious (a little salty as I added too much of the aioli sauce-my fault). However I was very disappointed with their coffee. Had their world famous vanilla latte which was so watered down and worse than the one I make at home. Wish they made better drinks

Came here yesterday for their first day open! I placed an order on their app and since it was their first day and they were busy and still working out kinks, it took about 15 minutes for it to be ready. I was surprised to see that it was a window walk up, as I was expecting a full cafe with seating just like their other Beverly Hills location. The decor was very cute with lots of floral and it was clean and tidy. The had a few tables outside to sit at. They are also located right near the gardens, so if you can't find seating outside the cafe, you can usually find an open table there. The staff was very friendly and I went to the pickup side (which wasn't labeled as pickup but I assumed) and one of the employees asked my name and found my coffee for me. I ordered the lavender latte with macadamia milk, which was perfectly frothy and creamy and the lavender added a nice earthy flavor. I regrettably forgot to add sugar to it, which is completely my fault, so if you like it sweet, be sure to add that! I still enjoyed it and it was a great pick me up to get me through a busy afternoon. Parking is super easy as it is right in between two public parking lots, both of which offer 2 hours of free parking! Plenty of time to get some shopping done at the stores nearby!

Great seating!

Last Sunday the line was a little bit shorter, and I was craving coffee so I decided to try it for the first time. I was thinking to myself, I hope this coffee is not super good so I don't have to ever come back again lol, hahahaha. However, the coffee turns out to be great. The matcha also fantastic , so I guess I'll be back. On the sidenote, the lime look long that's because the store is very small, so if you see like 10 people lining up your way, my only be 10-15 minutes, no worse than Starbucks during rush hour!

But after taking my first sip... I completely understood the hype. The Matcha einspanner is absolutely heavenly. It's rich, creamy, perfectly sweet, and one of the best matcha drinks I've ever had. We also ordered the pistachio bread and the sliders for breakfast, and both were delicious. The pistachio bread was soft and flavorful, and the sliders made for a satisfying breakfast. Yes, you'll probably have to wait, but in my opinion, it's worth experiencing at least once. If you're a matcha lover, this place definitely deserves a spot on your list.

Going to afternoon tea has been on my list of bougie things to do once I'm back in LA!! The…read moreLivining Room at the Peninsula hotel did not disappoint! I went Sunday, and saw a bottleneck at Valet so I found plenty of parking a block south and on the side street. Valet was only $18 for the 2 hours we were there so not awful at all. This hotel is super elegant and walking into The Living Room was like that, walking into a living room. It was right there past the receptionist and with a glass back drop of the garden. We opted for the 2nd tier, Premium. It doesn't change the tea choice ( you only get 1) or the food, it's just whatever champagne or bubbles you prefer. And oh my god! That rose was fantastic! I am not a rose fan, but I see why this one was considered Premium. I choose the coconut creme tea, thinking it might he herbal, but I didn't ask. I was planning on my jacked on caffeine and sugar before the day was over. All the finger sandwiches were fabulous, I ate them all. My favorite was the salmon, chicken and egg salad. Although I also enjoyed the egg plant. I can't tell you all the desserts that I ate. I ate all of that too. I literally only left half of a scone and the scones were fabulous as well. They were soft and they were fresh and I don't think i've ever had a fresh scone before so game changer! The service was perfect! Someone is coming by to pour you more tea. Everyone was very nice and attentive. We had a lovely time! I highly recommend this place for afternoon tea with the gals!

I came here on a Sunday with my mom and the presentation is beautiful…read more They offer valet parking. You walk straight past the lobby and run into the restaurant. They seated us right away for our reservation. My mom and I love high tea. We try a new place about twice a year. This place is stunning. The food is okay. I appreciated that my mom and I each had our own stand since most places do two of everything and place on one stand. The tea was good. It is a bit pricey - $135 per person for afternoon tea, an additional $65 per person for unlimited champagne. My mom & I both had the afternoon tea, she treated herself with the unlimited champagne and a $24 caviar bite which was so small, I would consider it half a bite. It was still worth a cute picture and my mom said it was delicious. The tip was included in our bill and was a little over $400. The servers are attentive and checked up on us often. I will say there is limited seating and although it is comfortable, it is a bit awkward. I would come back here for the aesthetics and look however as for food and traditional high tea, most likely not.
