Taco Tuesday did not disappoint! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was inviting, the music was great[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and Luis S. and the rest of the team provided terrific service. The tacos were really good, especially the pork belly, followed by the asada and fish tacos. My husband enjoyed the birria tacos as well. We also tried the watermelon and mango margaritas, the watermelon was the better one to me and the guacamole and chips were a great appetizer. At $2.50 per taco and $5 margaritas, the value is hard to beat. The vibes were great, the food and drinks were solid, and this will definitely be my new go to spot.

I reallyyyyyyy was looking forward to this place because of all of the great reviews. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We made reservations and realized it was going to be crowded because of Cinco de Mayo and Happy Hour.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is smaller than I thought but it was fun and festive almost like a club, with a dj and everything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our experience started off good, our waiter was nice and we requested to wait for happy hour and he was kind about it. But after a lot more people got seated around us, we were completely ignored. The bigger parties got serviced faster, received their drinks and foods A LOT FASTER. My bf and I ordered nachos and two taco flights yet our server heard one taco flight. So we shared one taco flight while waiting for the other to be delivered. Never arrived. We ordered another round of drinks...again never received them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated in the middle and I felt like the outer tables were seen and the inside tables were totally invisible.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Another pair next to us experienced the same thing because they looked just as irritated as us. We could've saved time and just went to another Mexican restaurant with better service and better food. The taco flight was basic. Needless to say, wont be visiting again nor recommending.

I did a quick searchi on Yelp for food in the area while on a trip and this place looked intriguing. Decided to give it a try and it was not a disappointment! Cool vibes with music playing and welcoming staff. They have a bar, high top tables, and larger tables for groups; there is a patio out front as well. The food was SO good. Guacamole and chips for the table, which came with two salsas. The green sauce was so good! The red sauce was good as well but definitely didn't gravitate towards it as much. Tacos are a la carte, which was convenient so I could try different options. Battered fish, cryspy shrimp, and "camaron enchilado" were my choices. Of the three, the enchilado was my favorite. I got a mango michelada for my beverage and was pleasantly surprised at the size of it for the price. I was expecting a pint glass but this was quite large.

Absolutely delicious! Everything was exquisite, customer service was great as well, waited a little bit to be seated but the food made up for it, prices are great, definitely a hidden gem! It's so worthy of trying! Just thinking about it makes my mouth watery!

Excellent service from start to finish! Manager Ricardo was incredibly kind and made a point to check in on us throughout our visit. Our bartender, Oldin, was just as impressive--attentive, quick, and truly skilled at his craft. Even though I usually prefer Añejo tequilas, he introduced me to a couple of Blanco options that were surprisingly smooth and enjoyable. We ordered the bone marrow tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. The food came out incredibly fast, and the overall speed and quality of service really stood out. The ambiance was also great--not too busy for Easter Sunday, which made the experience even more enjoyable, and the music was on point. I was genuinely impressed and will definitely be returning to Compadres Cantina.

One star for the chicken enchiladas I had... other than that, the experience here was revolting. I will say, I came here about 2 years ago expecting the same vibe because it was amazing that last time. You would think this place would keep up the good ambiance they had, but that was not the case. It was enough for me, and everyone else in my party to know that we would not want to come back here. Considering that we came here for my best friend's birthday, and we had a big party, you would think they would be welcoming and accommodating. We made reservations, which we didn't have to, because for a Saturday night, it was empty. The girl at the front was not welcoming at all, and our server was so rude and disrespectful. She did not come in to check up on us when we were missing a couple items (mind you, the restaurant was not even filled, so we did not understand why she was not stopping by) and she even brought an extra drink to our table then realized it was for another party (but charged it on our bill). While we were here for a celebration, the server honestly ruined the mood. When we received the bill, we asked her to remove the extra margarita that she charged on our bill. She did not come by to clear our table at all, so we had proof of all of the drinks we had on our table and counted each of them that reflected on the bill. She was making a big deal out of it and seemed to not want to remove it. We asked if there was a manager to speak to, and she said no. We had to talk to three other servers who worked there, so they could understand where we were coming from. She was making it seem like we did not want to tip, which we definitely would because we're a big party and that's just common courtesy, but she was pressing on that issue when it was clearly us wanting to remove the margarita from the bill. Finally, the last guy who came to speak to us stated that, "Well, we have to redo the entire bill again just to remove it." Like? So they made a huge deal out of removing a margarita because they were too lazy to do it again... We literally explained to him that they were all giving us a hard time because they decided that they did not want to redo the bill? That's insane. Eventually, he said he will do it, but it was ridiculous that they went through lengths for us to just get one margarita off the bill... Clearly, I will not be returning along with everyone else who attended the dinner. The chicken enchiladas were good but not enough for me to return to an overly priced restaurant with horrible service where you feel neglected, the servers are rude, and drinks are not the best. There are better Mexican restaurants out here, avoid this place. Seriously.

Been wanting to try this place forever and I finally tried it this past Monday on Labor Day with my friend and we had a very good time and everything was five stars all around. It's nice inside I love the decor. It's so vibrant and colorful and definitely a good vibe to have fun and a good happy hour joint for sure on Mondays. They have good margaritas specials for six dollars and they have a happy hour from 3 to 6 PM Monday through Thursday I believe. The service is very exceptional and they check on you the whole entire time and ask if you need anything and if you're OK. We started off with the guacamole and chips which was a five out of five and very delicious. Front the happy hour menu I got the four tacos chicken that was very good and moist, and the chicken taquitos which was bomb. For my drink order, I got the lemon drop, sangria, and I tried a mango margarita that I didn't finish only because it was a little bit too sweet but overall, it was very good. All drinks were five out of five. I wanted to try a few drinks so I can just know since it was my first time. I will come back here and I will come to enjoy happy hour again and the regular menu because it has so much to choose from, and I like because they also have rolls, which they look very good that I would try next time.

This is a hidden gem, I've only come during lunch and it hasn't been that busy. The server says it gets busy on the weekends and later in the day. So far I've tried the chilaquiles burrito and a carne asada burrito wet. My wife has gotten the taco trio. Both my burrito's were bursting with flavor and their hot sauces and amazing. Super nice seating and great music playing. Servers have been super helpful and attentive. Can't wait till my next visit.

Super good food and very awesome service. Answered any questions I had. Coming again thanks Jene but when it came to the bill I was charged regular price for tacos that were on happy hour and said she would pay for the difference her self which made me feel bad. Being a manager she could have easily adjusted the price. read more

The service was fantastic. The food was beautifully presented and came in huge, shareable portions. The food was good but I wouldn't say that it was life changing or something we hadn't seen/had before. Our party had a great time and would recommend this place. Be aware that the restaurant is located in a busy shopping complex so parking may not be that easy. read more

Not a fan. my child ordered wings, but then at the sight of them, didnt eat them, so i did. The bone in one wing was shattered inside. It could have been dangerous if a child was eating them. The place has ZERO ambiance inside. you know you're eating in a strip mall spot. It's basically just a big box on the inside. Its pretty loud, but whatever. They serve you the food on like wooden cutting boards or something. I got a steak...i could tell it was a little beyond its best by date, had I know it was older, i would have asked for it to be done a little more...and come to think of it, no one asked me how i wanted it cooked. What can I say about the other food, tortillas, meh..Its just a big nothing for me. read more

First time at Compadre Cantina and it was excellent! Delicious food and great customer service. Jose and Katty we're excellent waiters. We ordered in our party the bone marrow, compadre roll,molcajetero and poke nacho and they were extraordinary! The atmosphere was fun and an excellent way to relax after work. It was my second time there. First time on a taco Tuesday. Tacos are two dollars each and I believe they are fairly priced in regards to the ingredients and taste. I also got the carne asada, shrimp burrito, shoshito peppers (enough to share with 4 people), and the wife had the chicken enchiladas... all of it was really good and a huge proportion. They purposefully don't play corridos or rancheras. The server told us they can't play corridos. What kind of place serves the Mexican food but not the culture. They played rock en español and the song from 50 first dates. I don't recommend this place for a night out. Took my shots to some random song que ni se what genre it was. Watch what you are served. We asked for CasaAmigos reposados and they tried to serve us a tequila silver. read more

The food was nothing special but happy hour margaritas are only $4. I wouldn't come out of my way to go back here, but I'm not upset I went. I got the pork belly taco ( underwhelming) , asada happy hour street tacos (I didn't enjoy the seasoning on the meat) & my friend got a shrimp cocktail which he enjoyed. read more

We came in for a quick birthday shot and the manager was very nice to let up just run in and take a shot. It's nice inside with a lot of tvs so make sure to get there early if you're trying to watch a game. Can't comment on the food because we didn't eat but it all looked really good. read more

Tried this place for the second time. Definitely hype, not everyone can pull off places like this. The rice is from a box, sushi was awful, and food was subpar. The food isn't authentic and is tossed together. Service is okay. Hopefully they can rework their menu and try harder. read more

The dining area is a very clean and comfortable. Once seated, an aji verde salsa and cancha was brought to the table. The cancha is a nice touch, the corn is crispy and light. I ordered the Pollo Saltado with an extra portion of rice and a Chicha Morada. The beverage was very refreshing. The meal came out quickly. The chicken was tender and well seasoned with soy without being too salty. There was a fair amount of onions and tomatoes which were stir-fried along with the meat. The fries were freshly made with a light crispy exterior and creamy interior to soak up the saltado sauce. The aji verde salsa was on the spicy side but tasted good as an accompaniment to the dish. There was plenty of sauce from the stir fry for the extra portion of rice I ordered. I plan on ordering the Lomo Saltado next time. The staff were polite and efficient. Plenty of parking in their lot. Definitely on the list for the next time I am in the area.

We waited for about 35 minutes and it was hot in there with no AC. Their music was blasting too and there was flies buzzing around. Immediately regretted ordering here during those moments. Secondly, my husband and I ate the pupusas at home and wanted to spit it out. I'm not sure what kind of cheese they use if it's maybe more authentic than what I am used to but it was pungent and so strong. It made it completely inedible for us and my husband who is Hispanic said it's not a cheese he's familiar with. The curtido and salsa could not redeem the pupusas for us so had to throw them out.

I come here all the time, needless to say I love the place. They have amazing food, amazing drinks and a wonderful set of bartenders and servers. I've never encountered a bad energy from anyone here. The food is honestly the best Mexican fusion.... Maybe even some of the best Mexican food in general that I've had. The drinks are fairly price and exciting! However, Daniel, the server/waiter is and absolutely amazing. He created the most welcoming atmosphere I've encountered in an establishment. He was so kind, friendly, and embraced you with his huge and beautiful personality. He was the sweetest and so honest in his recommendations. I really hope this review reaches someone in upper management or ownership. I want to start with how much I enjoyed my pork belly tacos and my watermelon margarita. The food and atmosphere are wonderful. However my partner is allergic to dairy and when he ordered his surf and turf burrito he asked for no cheese. It came with cheese on it and we asked the server to take it back and bring one without cheese which was totally fine and not the issue at all. The issue is that nowhere on the menu does it say what kind of sauce goes on the burrito when you order it wet. And we did not expect the sauce to be a creamy sauce. My partner didn't want to send the burrito back a second time because we already had to send it back once and we didn't not want to be an issue. He scraped the sauce off the top and ate the burrito anyways but did not enjoy it and ended up sick. I just want it to be known that it's important to describe the menu items thoroughly on the menu so that issues like this do not happen. If the menu would simply state what kind of sauce comes on the wet burrito then we would've had a better experience. read more

Small Mexica restaurant this was not- food cooked by mama' or someone beloved, this was probably not going to be. But, the service was really fast, professional and the offerings were a mix of what I would consider authentic Mexican and new age fajitas and tacos type. The soup I had I believed it would be menudo- whether or not it was... I'm not sure however it was really good. The pork tacos were on point. Do not go here for drinks! They are super weak it feels as if you are drinking juice or water. The service was super slow. It took about 10-15 minutes to get our drinks and almost an hour to get our food. The waiter would not come around often and check up on us, only when we would call her over or call someone to call her she would come. We spent 2 hrs here because the service was so slow. Interior is pretty, and I personally enjoyed that the lighting was dim. It was actually really quiet for being/having a bar. I now I have to totally leave a review. After returning from vacation, a couple friends of mine picked us up at LAX and we stopped to have dinner at Glorias. Even though I wasn't satisfied the last three times going, we went, hoping this would be better. We were seated and our server, which I didn't catch his name because maybe I saw him twice, was rude pushy and very unattended to us. The time was approximately 9 PM on Sat evening, and I was told that it was open till at least 11 but maybe 10. My wife ordered Café de la Olla, and was definitely disappointed as she told our server this isn't café De La Olla. His reply was oh yes, I know we only make it with just cinnamon as opposed to the other ingredients that are essential for a very good cup of Café de la olla. He said that it was too late and that they could not make any more to which she said well forget it. I don't want any coffee at all then. You would think they put it on the menu. This is served up to X time or whatever but no, they let us know that they were not willing to make her a cup of cafe de la olla. After taking orders, we began eating and my friends wife, had a shrimp cocktail, after a couple bites, she realized what she was eating with squid and mentioned to her husband. This isn't shrimp. This is a cocktail de pulpo, which is squid. He returned with the correct one, but definitely had an attitude. We no longer saw him not even to have our waters refilled. When we are done, I got up to go pay the bill and inquired if there was a manager there. A gentleman with a long sleeve shirt that appeared to be a manager was there and I asked him if he was so. He said he was, and when I commented him about the server, who was there not only serving but charging and collecting the money, he said well I'm the manager, but this guy is one in charge because he's related to the ownership of some sort. So I replied, so he's the one that is really in charge and he said yes. I called the next day, Sunday, around noon and spoke to someone and asked if I could speak to the manager. He told me his name which was Ricardo, and I asked by chance to see the one that was there last night and he said yes. And I asked him if there is someone higher up that I may speak with which his reply was no there wasn't.. I gave my name and number and asked if he can return my call which is right now 12:45 on Monday, he has not bothered to call me. I wanted to give him a heads up that I was going to put a bad review on Yelp, but I guess he didn't even think it was important enough for him to call me back. There is another Mexican restaurant in my area, that not too long changed ownership. Where the servers are connected to the ownership and they themselves also have very bad attitudes in what is definitely a I'm entitled attitude, which also gives bad service. When I heard that this guy at Gloria was related to the ownership I summized that's why he's like that. No accountability. As I said, previously, the food had gone from bad to worse, and I even asked ouwaiter if they had changed the cook, which is reply with no. This will definitely be the last time not only that we go there but that we recommend to anyone. That's a shame because it was at one time, a very good restaurant. For anyone that is reading this save your money and go somewhere which I don't either. Do they appreciate you but give you better food. My friend honestly said we should've gone to Denny's.
