    Chilaquiles with green salsa
    Ruben B.

The whole experience was great. They had the friendliest and warmest service which really left a lasting impression. The food very yummy! Their dishes are traditional yet have a unique take that makes them something you can only get at SeD Cocina. For example, the breakfast burrito had a garlic sauce in it that made this burrito something I really loved. The chilaquiles were yummy. Red salsa is smokier and green is tangy. As for the coffees, my party tried a horchata latte and a mocha (I believe) and an iced cafe de olla. All were amazing. the Horchata latte blew my mind though. It was more than just an horchata with coffee. The flavors worked so well together and it's been the best version of an horchata and coffee drink that I have tried, Try this local business out. I'm sure you will find one thing you like here.

This place is a hidden gem! I love trying out new places for my birthday so we decided to try this place for breakfast and it was a great choice! Food was delicious! And the staff was friendly and always there to ask if we needed anything. Chilaquiles was on point! Getting half red and half green gave me the opportunity to try out both sauces and they were both so good! I love it when there's a slight kick but not too much to over power the entree. Some places make it way too spicy, but this place had it perfect!! The chips were still crunchy even with all the flavorful sauce they added. It was the best chilaquiles I've ever had! The huevos rancheros was really good too and had so much flavor. Definitely will be coming back again soon! Not in the best location as the shopping center is a bit run down and it looks a bit sketchy, so just be careful with parking and being aware of your surroundings.

11/10! This is the second time I've came and love the service, to the food, and the atmosphere! It's always packed for a reason. This lil gem family establishment deserves all the praise. See ya guys soon

Definitely coming back to eat more. We were immediately sat down at around 10am but the place was getting packed. The menu doesn't have a huge amount of options but each unique. My partner had the red chilaquiles which were flavorful and loaded with sauce. I had the SeD toast which was packed with toppings. The dirty horchata was delicious and perfectly sweetened. The servers were nice and responsive. Overall 10/10.

First dish is the chilaquiles with split red and green sauce. The second dish was the Huevos Rancheros.

Hands Down One of the IE's Best Family-Owned Gems! If you haven't been to SeD Cocina in Montclair yet, fix that immediately. Evan and Tiffany have created something truly special here, and it shows in every single dish and interaction. The Food Chilaquiles: Hands down the best I've ever tasted. Pro tip: get the split red and green sauces--it's pure flavor perfection and gives you the absolute best of both worlds. Chorizo Bowl: Next-level execution. The blend of chorizo, egg, potato, and beans topped with fresh avocado and crisp onions is a total chef's kiss. The Drinks Iced Café de Olla: Perfectly spiced, smooth, and wonderful. Dirty Horchata: Coffee meets horchata, and it instantly became my new obsession. Simply awesome. The Service Service was top-notch. Tiffany took incredible care of us, making stellar recommendations along the way and ensuring everything was seamless. Hats off to Evan and Tiffany--SeD Cocina is easily one of the finest family-owned spots in the Inland Empire!

1/28/26 Sadly, they're sold out of the elote flan (reason we visited), awaiting delivery of local baker. But READ ON. This place would've been walking distance from our previous house. It's located in a non descript corner with other shops, you could easily miss it since it's not in a main road. Parking is free & ample. I found it on Yelp when looking for local brunch spots as my usual faves are closed by 2 pm. At 3 pm, only a couple of customers were dining. Hubby & I went in & sat as our server, Tiffany greeted us. She seems sweet & welcoming. The shop is fairly small which can accommodate about 40 people. Immediately, my eyes gravitated to the tres leches maiz waffle & it may be combined with eggs, potatoes & turkey sausage or bacon to make a meal. Hubby, of course, ordered his chorizo bowl. When I inquired about the maiz flan (read on Yelp reviews), Tiffany apologized that they're sold out, awaiting delivery from local baker. The food arrived in no time & my waffles smelled divinely captivating. These tasted so good, I like the somewhat coarse texture because of the corn. I tasted Hubby's chorizo bowl & it was really good, he loved it!! As we were savoring our delicious meals, I glanced at one lady carrying large foil trays into the restaurant & my heart skipped a beat.... Could it be the... oh yes it was!!! Our server greeted her & told her, "Oh good, they're waiting for the maiz flan, it's the reason they came". Happy joy joy. All is right with the world. Hubby selected the banana cream flan flavor-- DO NOT MISSS OUT. It is phenomenal. Now I wish I had known about this place when we lived in Montclair. It requires a special trip

Not much of a long wait, but I totally understand. People sure love this place. Really tasty food. My chile relleno burrito was so delicious and the salsas were flavorful. I'd definitely come back!

My sister had tried this place and told us rave reviews about the food. So we had to try it. I dunno if it was an off day or not but service was not great. We came on a Sunday after around 1... we tried giving the benefit of the doubt that they are busy and it is a small place. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated and at least the host was nice enough to update us about our table. When our table was finally ready and We were seated it took about 10 minutes for someone to actually come and greet us and take our order. We were greeted and then we were told she would come back but it took another 10 minutes before she came back and took our order. We were a party of 3 and all asked for water and cafe de olla. We ordered 2 chorizo bowls, a side of churro pancakes and a dirty burrito with Birria. Another 10 minutes later we had no water and no cafe de olla. My husband had to get up and physically ask for our drinks. We got the cafe de olla but never got our waters. I totally understand that it is a mom and pop place and it was busy but nobody checked on us until our food arrived. The two chorizo bowls arrived first and then another 10 minutes passed and finally my burrito came. They forgot our churro pancakes and we had to again ask for it and then that took another 10 minutes and by then we were getting full and almost done with our food . No one checked on us until we were the last few tables left in the restaurant and we asked for the check. And she still had the nerve to cleans up 3 other tables before giving us the check. The food was good. The tortillas tasted fresh and handmade. The chorizo bowl was filling and the Birria inside the dirty burrito was soft and flavorful but just by the experience we had I would not go back.

Cafe de Holla on point .... Yummy !!!!!
    Jeanette W.

Food and service was excellent! I got the steak and eggs and he got the chorizo bowl !!! We both got the cafe de holla .... Just come and eat here, seriously!!!! We live far but we like to try different places and we will definitely return to try other menu items...don't skip this spot ! Very cute and super clean inside as well !!!!

My family came here for breakfast and we were in awe at how great the food was! The Chilaquiles doesn't come with asada, but I added it and it made the meal 10 million times more amazing ! Absolutely worth it! My boyfriend also really enjoyed his food, and even my daughter loved the steak and eggs with avocado, which says a lot. The service was incredible, and the ambience was just as amazing. The horchata tasted so fresh and delicious, and they seriously have the biggest mimosa on the whole planet! Thank you guys so much for your wonderful hospitality. We had such a great breakfast experience and cannot wait to come back and eat here again!

My server, Clint, recommended the Fidelity red blend. I'm usually a Pinot Noir drinker, but this was a great choice and paired really well with my filet and lobster tail. The steak was cooked perfectly, the lobster was excellent, and even the drawn butter was served at the right temperature. I finished with the peach tart for dessert, and it was delicious. My wife and I ordered the surf and turf for the first time and I have to say, the lobster was bad. It looked great upon arrival but it lacked flavor. The only way to get some flavor was to lightly sprinkle butter on it ( which I never do ). The texture told me it wasn't fresh. The 8oz filet was also lacking in flavor and was brought cooked rare. ( I ordered med rare ). I figured a good steak, I could do it rare and be ok but lo and behold, fail. My wife's was not much better and hers was served med rare. I will go back but will never order the steak of lobster. For that meal, I will go to The Derby or Eddie V's.

Claremont, California…read more Our "find "in Claremont on this trip... Cozy, intimate and damn good food. I'll repeat that good food... Reservations are important because the space is tiny. Inside this very old former home there's a teeny kitchen! But what they turn out of that kitchen is amazing....which includes from scratch made pasta, and farm to table seasonal produce, which comes directly from Amy's farm. The menu changes depending on what is fresh for the day. Rooftop dining is the way to go in the summer when it's warm and the best time to be outside. We didn't make reservations early enough so we had to sit inside, which was just as inviting and we loved how quaint it was. Loved our carrot appetizer, followed by a delicious beef Ragu pappardelle. Simple not overly seasoned with cheese or other spices just solid and good. We decided on the chicken for our main entrée and it arrived juicy with just the right amount of crunchy skin. The waiter was so funny and let us try a bunch of different things because we didn't know what to order from the extensive wine list..... service is relaxed, customer satisfaction-focused, and unpretentious. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst restaurant experience we've ever had. While we were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive, our waitress offered to bring us cornbread. She never mentioned there was a charge, didn't ask how many we wanted, and simply brought out two orders. Since she offered it and never explained it was an extra charge, we naturally assumed it was complimentary for the birthday celebration. Things only went downhill from there. The rest of our group was given a hard time at the front because they didn't know the exact name the reservation was under. We were also given grief for placing birthday presents on a chair at the end of the table, a chair the staff had placed there. We were told the chair was interfering with the wait staff, even though it wasn't blocking any walkways. It seemed like every interaction came with unnecessary attitude. Once we were all seated, our waitress seemed to have a chip on her shoulder from the start. She never brought out our ranch-style bread, rarely refilled our drinks, and repeatedly reached across the table, passing plates directly in front of people's faces instead of simply walking around to serve them properly. When our dinners arrived, our empty salad and appetizer plates were still sitting on the table. We had to ask her to clear them just so we had room for our meals. If we needed anything, we had to catch her as she hurried past our table because she never stopped to check on us. She would keep walking while we tried to ask for what we needed, so we had to quickly rattle everything off before she disappeared. To top it off, she was openly talking about our table to the guests seated behind us. It was completely unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable. The level of service was disappointing from beginning to end. When my bill came, the total didn't add up correctly. I politely pointed out the discrepancy, but instead of checking it, she came back with the menu to prove I was wrong. Ironically, the menu proved she was the one who made the mistake. She even tried telling me I was comparing the menu price to a receipt total that included tax. I had to explain that the tax was calculated separately at the bottom of the receipt. Rather than apologize, she walked away and sent the manager over. Thankfully, the manager immediately recognized the error and corrected my bill. By that point, my family had enough and just wanted to pay and leave. To make matters worse, they were told they couldn't pay until everyone at the table had received their bill. The food didn't make up for the service, either. It was hot and humid inside the restaurant, the burger was as tough as a hockey puck, they were out of beef ribs so we settled for pork ribs that were mostly fat, and the steak lacked any flavor. To top it off, the restrooms had a strong urine smell, which only added to the overall poor experience. The only highlights of the evening were the company we were with and the Costco birthday cake we brought ourselves. I had read the recent reviews before coming and hoped people were exaggerating. They weren't!!! I wanted to give this place another chance because of the great memories we had at the one in Colton, but sadly, those memories are all that's left. If you're thinking about making the drive because of nostalgia like we did, I'd recommend reading the recent reviews first. I wish we had listened. We won't be returning. Thanks for a horrible birthday experience, Sundance & staff!
