I saw the many rave reviews and decided that this must be "the place". I'm going to be as objective as possible while setting the record straight- the staff were all good, and offering breakfast, appetizers and cookies/fire/s'mores in the evening was a really nice touch. As others have mentioned, the breakfast wasn't great, but we were travelling with little kids so having something to get the day started is really important (A for effort, C- for execution). They had a decent selection of beer and wine to order in the evenings (at reasonable prices for a hotel). The grounds were pretty nice. Things fall short of expectations when you get to the accommodations and location. Our cabin felt old and dilapidated, not "historic" in the sense of the Ahwahnee Lodge (Yosemite) or Lake MacDonald Lodge (Glacier). You walk in to a slightly damp environment that smells a bit like septic mixed with old camp fire. The couch, and carpet were pretty gross. Beds were mediocre, and although the sheets looked clean, the setup wasn't exactly confidence inspiring. Rooms are not cleaned daily, and since we have little people in diapers, we opted to just put the trash can outside. Perhaps the worst part was that we were put into the AFrame cabin with no possibility to change rooms (that's not what I booked). There's a steep ladder that leads to the second bed upstairs. This arrangement is not realistic or safe with toddlers. Overall, everything was just, kinda... shabby. "Historic" in the context of the Weasku is a euphemism for "run-down". As for location, if you think you're going to be right on the Rogue, you'd be mistaken. There's an irrigation ditch that runs directly behind the cabins, fed by a pump house about 100 yards away. If you do walk down to the river, be careful because this section is very dangerous/inhospitable. The river is really swift there, so it's not good for fishing (yes, no fishing spots there!), not good for kids, no beach stuff... but plenty of spiked berry brambles and poison oak if that's your thing. Road noise is constant and detracts from the vibe of peaceful seclusion. Interstate 5 is hidden by trees just on the other side of the river, so you'll hear that all night long. As for Grants Pass, unless you've got a reason to be there, you'd be better off somewhere like Ashland. The Weasku served our needs, and we all escaped without bedbugs or scabies. Would I stay again? Not if you paid me. Rating reflects great staff and nice grounds, with negative stars for accommodations. read more

We were driving through the area and decided to stop somewhere quiet and naturalistic to chill out for two nights. I saw some very positive reviews for The Weasku Inn on the Rogue River, so I booked it. I am SO glad I did! The lodge is nostalgic of days gone by, built in 1924-- so quaint and lovely. On arrival, a warm staff met us and we checked in to a picturesque cabin facing the river. Perfect! King sized SUPER comfy bed stacked high with lovely quilts. The cabin featured a lovely mountain-style, working rock fireplace with a comfy couch facing the fireplace, looking out onto the trees with the river beyond. The cabin had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The Weasku offers "appetizers" in the evening--which really is more like a meal. If you are still hungry after the appetizer hours, which we were not, restaurants for dinner are just a quick 5 minute drive away. There is a bar available to purchase wines, beer and ciders, if you wish, available all day long with complementary coffees and teas, as well. And the FULL breakfast is SO well done; not like those plastic, poorly done "breakfasts" served at many places--THIS is a proper, complete breakfast meal. There is a fire pit for evenings and complementary "s'more"kits are available for toasting on the fire. The Weasku staff were so warm and friendly and all seemed to be pleased to see us! We will most certainly return to this lovely spot. If what you want is a respite from the crazy, a quiet cozy place to relax and comfortable accommodations, you will love The Weasku. We have stayed at the Weasku Inn several times. Great experience, from all of the staff, love the appetizer social is wonderful and a full breakfast with mimosas. I will say the delayed maintenance on the buildings is really showing. The roof is falling off one of the cottages, and if not attended to this magical place will not be here in the years ahead. The cabins need maintenance, the decks eat.. We will of course stay again at some point in the future, we only pray that some money is put back into the property soon. read more

We wanted to really like this place. Nicely situated, rustic, with great scenery almost on the river, but for the price paid we felt it was more like a Motel 6. The problem is less with the hotel but other guests past and present. I was lead to believe that these were individual stand-alone cabins. We were in the middle unit of a 3 unit cabin. I think the cabin on the north side was empty, but unfortunately for us, the people to the south of us left the TV on all night. Although I was awakened multiple times, I was able to get back to sleep, but my wife had a miserable night -- basically no sleep at all. Yes, she should have called to complain, but she's not that type. Walls very thin or minimal sound-proofing. We can also clearly hear the plumbing in the adjacent unit whenever they flush. Although we were there only one night, on each trip in or out the door or to/from the bathroom we are reminded of the stupidity of prior guests. The carpet was branded with the signature burn from the steam iron. I'm thinking I paid nearly $300.00 for this? It feels like a flop-house. The fact that management did nothing about this tells me that they have no problem charging middle-tier hotel room rates for a near bottom-tier experience. Breakfast was basic, but sufficient. We didn't partake in afternoon appetizers or evening s'mores. The grounds were pleasant as were staff. Nice long scenic walking trail adjacent to a little canal. read more

I reserved a room at the Weasku Inn a few weeks before our family vacation. I never received an email confirmation about the reservation nor a reminder about it. Because of that, I did not end up staying at the Weasku Inn. I didn't remember the hotel name and couldn't pull up a record of any reservation made that night in the area. When I got home from our trip and audited our vacation expenses, I found a $384 charge on our account from Weasku. I tried to call and ask them to reverse this No Show fee because of the system issues on their side with no confirmation email and no reminder, but the staff said they would need to escalate to the owner, and that the owner would call me. He never called. I followed up with the hotel staff, and they told me to email the owner. I emailed him, and he never replied. I don't recommend this hotel because of their unreliable booking system and their unresponsive owner/leadership team. read more

2.5 stars. I stayed in room #1 inside the main lodge with my husband and small child. I can share some pros and cons. Pros: 1.) Old fashioned decor & nostalgic vibe. 2.) Cozy giant couch in front of a warm fire inside the lodge's main room. 3.) Large television in our private room. 4.) Evening snack and breakfast included in stay. 5.) Complementary evening cookies are homemade and taste absolutely phenomenal. Cons: 1.) Carpets (in our room) heavily trafficked and stained. The furniture looked shabby, especially the couch and large trunk-table. 2.) Floors creaked and bed was pretty stiff with meager small-ish pillows. Sheets were a bit scratchy and didn't feel soft. 3.) When I ran a bath in the jacuzzi it only gave luke-warm 93 degree water. I know this because I always use a digital thermometer for our baby's bath temperature. 4.) I could hear cars driving by since the highway was directly outside the window. 5.) The pictures on the website made the lodge and its grounds look so much better than it looked in person. We thought it would be a special place to lodge at for the evening, something different than your run-of-the-mill Hilton Hotel. While I appreciate some of Weasku's vintage appeal, I wouldn't race back to stay again in the future. read more

I love this place! They have separate cabins (think of a duplex) so nobody below or above you! You share only one wall. There's a small balcony where you can sit outside and sip your coffee and listen to the river. They also include a full breakfast, appetizers at 4:30 and fresh baked cookies at 7 pm. Cookie time includes smores too that are provided with a firepit to roast your own marshmallows (the best way for a smore)! How fun is that!? I was there in November so the staff keeps a "real" fireplace going inside lobby area. Very quiet when you just want to chill and relax! read more

What a joy it was to spend four days at the Weasku Inn while visiting my brother in Grants Pass, Oregon. Our room (Room 5) was warm and cozy with a balcony that looked out into a beautiful grove of tall trees, running spring and pond with a lone goose and, in the distance, a view of the Rogue River. We started off each morning with a delicious breakfast prepared by either Scott or Natasha who put together an incredible display of biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, granola, yogurt, and bagels along with orange juice and great coffee. Although we did not partake in their early evening hors d' oeuvres, we did end our day with some delectable fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and milk while enjoying the lit fire pit at night...All this made our stay that much more memorable. We stayed one night here on our way through grants pass. Our little A-frame cabin was so sweet with a comfy living room type of area, comfy beds, and a nice little balcony. Their website describes this as a "River Cabin" with "views of the might Rogue River from your balcony" while an irrigation ditch runs by the cabins, you definitely can't see the Rogue from the cabin. It isn't a long walk, but it's also definitely not what I picture when I think "riverside cabin". Cookies & milk in the evenings, breakfast in the morning, and hors d'oeuvres are a nice touch. We didn't see the afternoon snacks but breakfast & cookies were pretty basic offerings similar to what you'd find at a Holiday Inn or similar. The grounds were in beautiful shape and the staff were all friendly. My husband booked this one and I admit to a little sticker shock when I checked out & saw the room rate was $360/night. Much as I enjoyed our stay, I don't think we'll be back a that price. read more

We had such a wonderful time at the Weasku Inn! We found this awesome Travelzoo deal and decided to go for it as a last mini getaway before I returned back to work from my maternity leave. The Inn/Lodge was so warm and welcoming! The staff were all so friendly and professional! Merek & Cecil were especially attentive, sweet, and so nice ! We brought our 6 month old daughter and everyone was so happy & friendly towards her ! Even other guests! We very much enjoyed our spacious king cabin with fireplace & a porch, bottle of wine and truffles, free breakfast every morning, free appetizers in the afternoon, free milk and homemade cookies in the evening (my husband couldn't stop raving about them !), and a free gift card to a nearby restaurant that was so good (Rivers Edge)! Stayed for the weekend in a King River front cabin. The Inn is bigger than I expected. Several cabins that are up from the river. I was a bit disappointed as I expected the cabin to be closer to the river, it's about 100 yards away, and the brush was so high we could barely see the river. Maintenance staff probably need to maintain the weeds and brush so the river can actually be seen. Regardless, we had a nice stay. The cabin was roomy and comfortable with a big bathroom, living room and deck off the front. The wine pass was our main attraction and we visited almost every winery on the list in the three days we were there. The complimentary breakfast was as bad as others have said in prior reviews with salty powdered eggs, small sausage and cold potatoes. Yogurt and bagels were the only good staples. It was enough to hold us over until we got to a winery for lunch. Staff was very helpful. It was quiet and a good location. I would stay here again when the world opens back up to normal. I would think that the breakfast would be back to normal and hopefully the brush will be cleared by the river so you can actually see it. read more

What a wonderful spot! Great for all sorts of visits from romance to a reunion of friends. The beauty of the property must be year round considering we went at the end of winter and it was immaculate. Gatherings at the lodge to meet with new people, sit by a warm fire and have a s'more, try a local wine or enjoy the delicious breakfast potatoes are all highlights. The rooms are cozy and warm with a fireplace and a comfortable bed, but most of all, it's the people. Brandon (if I remember correctly) fixes anything that needs tweaking, Scott takes great care of you in the kitchen for breakfast and hors d'oeuvres, Merek greets you warmly at the front desk at check in. Perfect Highly recommended. Note: internet works but isn't up to an office-away-from-home experience, so prepare for R&R. Am currently in my room love the room and view ..yes the river is out of the flood zone so not on the river but like other reveiwes it's still right there ..the customer service and amenities are great..for the price definitely the best bang for our buck! BAILEY was awesome I unfortunately didn't get the name of the girl in the dining room but she was awesome also (I complained to my husband because he didn't tip her ..hopefully she will be there before we check out) the room was a little smaller than the pictures make it look but it was all we needed..just FYI door dash is a crash ordering here but that's besides the point of I think we found our new cabin to stay in.. privacy quiet clean hospitality what more can you ask for if you are ADA I would ask for accommodation but with the hospitality we received I don't think it would be a problem..we didn't intend Easter here (we have dr appointments and live 2 hrs away) but it has been an amazing stay thank you read more

Stayed overnight on our way North; arrived just in time for evening cookies and milk, yum! We had our teenagers with us and so booked the King Spa and a Queen room inside the main lodge. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are well appointed. Both staff and guests were observing appropriate COVID precautions, which we appreciated. The have local wine, beer, cider, and sodas. We tried the Pinot Noir which was a lovely way to top off the evening. read more

We stayed in the A frame cabin. It was cozy and quaint:) it overlooks a path, some forest and the river. There is a path behind the cottages so you can walk along the river. I loved this place! We stayed here in the fall / the staff says it's a lot more active in the summer. But we loved it. Free wifi, parking, food - flat screen tv, fireplace, comfy beds - all the amenities but still all the ambiance of a cabin in the woods. Awesome. They serve Buffett style breakfast (free) and had an ample selection considering there were not many patrons during the off season. We have stayed at the Weasku multiple times and it holds a special place in our heart. A lovely historic inn with little cabins along the Rogue River, what could be more romantic, right?! Beautiful cottages, with a rustic but upscale vibe, fireplaces and lovely patios. The property has a very relaxing and peaceful vibe, with a shady lawn and Adirondack chairs to laze the afternoon away in. The main lodge is cozy and filled with interesting historical notes about the property and a fun old time poker table. Their is also a happy hour of sorts with beer and wine for purchase and yummy snacks, full breakfast , milk and cookies in the evening and also s'mores packets for the communal fire pit. So many nice touches that made our stay that much more special. There is a walking path down to the Rogue River as well, which is wonderful as well. If you have the opportunity to stay at the Weasku you won't be disappointed! read more

We were welcomed by bugs in our room. Some flies, moths, little flying bugs, ants, a black large flying bug they resembled an ant or bee. Thankfully my husband killed most of them upon arrival. They were all in the bathroom. I did have bug repellent and sprayed all of us, our bedding, entrance to the room. We did call and let the front desk know three times no answer. I ended up leaving a voicemail in hopes our room could have pest control service done while we were at dinner but when we called after dinner finally someone answered and said maintenance left for the day and they hadn't received our message. We were not offered a discount or apologies. I asked if another room was available. They let us know we would have to pay even if we left because that's the policy. 72 hours notice is required or we could stay in the only other room available that was a much larger room with a larger bill. Thankfully it was for a night. We left right after we woke up. We will not be returning. We would recommend this room if you like camping. Also, it a very dark room. Even with all the lights on. Charming B&B along Rogue River. We were greeted by very friendly innkeeper, Kirt who had just put out afternoon snacks for us. We stayed at the 'Clark Gable' room which is located in the main building. It is cutely decorated with a pretty tall bed (I am 5' 2"). Thoughtfully, a short little ladder is provided. :) I noticed there are many other cabins behind the main buildings that look very nice. Continental breakfast is quite average. I was hoping for a bit more 'homemade' touch. Nevertheless, this is still a great B&B to stopover. I would stay again next time. read more

Very happy to find that I am the first to sing the praises of the Weasku Inn in Grants Pass Oregon. I have had the good fortune to stay here at least 4 times and every year it just gets better. The best thing I can say about the Inn is it isn't a Hilton or Marriott its a warm friendly bed and breakfast style inn along the Rogue river where you are welcomed like an old friend. The decor is fantastic a mix of older and some new, the cabins are great many have a porch that looks over the river. Some also have fireplaces. The grounds are very well kept with huge trees reaching up over 100 feet. There is an osprey nest that can be viewed from the deck and Adirondack chairs all over the place for reading and relaxing. I attend a private event every year at the Weasku and its perfect for company off sites. They have a meeting facility and can arrange for you to have the entire compound for an event. I can't say enough about the place and highly recommend it. read more
