Our trip was great from start to finish and it was very obvious to my partner and I that the hotel has high standards for everything- cleanliness, service, and quality. We arrived early and they accommodated a very early check in for us which was great since we had a lot of time in between our activities and wanted to use the pool. Pool area was lovely and well kept- in fact, as a pretty meticulous cleaner I was surprised that I didn't notice any areas that were a bit dirty, even places you'd expect, like near a garbage can. The food was great and very fairly priced for being in a hotel. The gift shop was well stocked and again, reasonably priced. Our room was spacious and clean and the provided amenities were top notch. But the thing that made our trip a 5/5 was Heather, whom I believe is the facilities manager? Who went way above and beyond to make our stay special when I commented on how great the lobby smelled. She shared with me how I could find the same scent and was exceptionally friendly about it despite my odd question. Overall we were really pleased with our stay and will definitely be making this a regular place for our staycation. read more

We were very surprised to see a Margaritaville hotel in Medford, but took a chance on this brand new accommodation because it was offered at a great rate. The building is beautiful, tropical theme without being overly cheesy (much less absurd than the Vegas casino by the same name!). Staff were incredibly kind and courteous, their friendliness was the best part of our stay. Complimentary breakfast was great! We'll seasoned eggs, bacon, two types of sausage, fresh pancakes, assorted yogurt, fruit, cereal and bread/pastry case. Blew similar chain hotel breakfasts out of the water. The room still has a "new" smell, and was well-appointed. The bed was pretty firm, and bathroom door oddly would not remain latched (liked to swing open 1/2" or so, which was fine with two adults staying but could be annoying with mixed company). The most uncomfortable part was the AC not keeping the room cold. We stayed in January (30 degrees) so we didn't anticipate needing it, but the windows were sealed so it got very stuffy overnight. Overall, would stay again for a good rate but wouldn't go out of my way at full price. read more

The facilities get five stars. Nice rooms, lobby, pool and other common areas. However, I think charging a resort fee is a stretch. The buffet breakfast gets one star. Perpetually out of coffee. Wonderful! New hotel which is beautifully decorated. The temperature was perfect, not too hot with heaters. The bar was very nice with a happy hour and the appetizers were very good with reasonable prices. The breakfast buffet was attractive presentation and food quite good. This place is great for just a little stop or a long trip. We got there late and had dinner at the little restaurant. The salads were good and the wings were good. Just good. We also got pina colada's and they were great the pool was nice. a little cold and not very deep but it was nice for such a hot day. The courtyard also has more fun activities such as corn hole. The room was nice, comfortable bed and big tv although i can't say much for the view. The other thing was that the walls are very thin and we can hear everyone in the hallway from the bed as well as the dinging elevator. The breakfast was mediocre, not bad not amazing just like any other hotel breakfast buffet. The Staff was also super nice and quick and I definitely recommend this hotel and enjoyed my stay. read more

Driving through Medford when we found Compass by Margaritaville and decided to stay for the night. The price was very reasonable and included free breakfast and WiFi. Since we weren't in their system yet, they offered us a $10 discount (each) for their bar.Happy hour was going on and the drink menu was well covered. We had dinner there too. The menu was simple but okay. The room was comfortable, clean and we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was buffet style and had a good mix of hot/cold, sweet/savory options. Best of all was the staff. Top marks for pleasant greetings and making everyone feel welcome. Servers were friendly, efficient and welcoming. We were lucky enough to have our wedding at the Medford Compass Hotel. Lucky because we scheduled and planned a 50+ person wedding in 3 weeks. From the first email with JoJo Howard (Sales and Revenue Manager) we were treated professionally. She not only coordinated she also made useful suggestions to help us plan for our first wedding. When we arrived, we were met by JoJo and Chris the General Manager as well as Elke, the newly promoted Food and Beverage manager. Everything was ready and everyone seemed as excited as we were to have the wedding occurring that weekend. The front desk staff (Sam, Kimbra, JJ and Bella) were all awesome and our guests made sure to let us know. The night prior to the wedding, my husband and I hosted our wedding party for dinner and drinks in the restaurant. Elke organized an area for us so we would all be together. Elke and Katie were there until we left and all needs were met with a smile. We kept them pretty busy that night. Everything leading up to the wedding and our accommodations were awesome. The room was set-up, food was great, the drinks were above par. We opted for two 5 gallon margaritas as well as an assortment of beers and that was plenty. The grounds were immaculate. Fire pits were lit all over that night and the outside area was well lit. We partied until 10 and even before the wedding started until finished, we felt we were being treated like the most important people at the hotel. We had multiple guests stay at the hotel and they all felt the same about their stay. Diane our housekeeper was awesome. We actually met her before we knew she was our housekeeper, due to her friendliness towards our dog. She always greeted us when we crossed paths and she always had a smile on her face. Our suite was very spacious and was a great place to meet with our 8 person wedding party before the wedding. I don't know what more I can say without being redundant but we were very happy with everything. By the time it was time yo pay, we thought we had overdone it, but the pricing was awesome. If this was the Hotel's first wedding, I can only imagine how amazing the future weddings will be. Thank you for making us feel so special. read more

We were blown away by the friendly service and resort vibe. Everything seems brand new and super clean. The pool area has cabanas and the water is heated. The bar and restaurant is right next to it so you can order drinks or food at very reasonable prices and relax by the pool. The rooms are clean and comfortable with pergo type flooring. The bed was comfortable and even though we were close to the elevator lobby, it was very quiet. It is a pet friendly property so the front desk staff gave our dog a warm welcome complete with a goody bag which had some treats, a tennis ball and a poop bag. Finally the complementary breakfast buffet surpassed our expectations. It featured a fruit and yogurt bar, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and assorted cereals. We will definitely be back and hope they open more locations in the future. read more

We went to the restaurant for lunch for the first time (and last) to experience the venue and menu. We first inquired about veggie burgers (which they did not have) and decided on a gourmet salad and fish and chips. The salad was uneventful but ok, the fish and chips were awful. They tasted off and the somewhat doughy. I seldom if ever complain about a meal usually excusing it to one thing or another. However this had to be mentioned and the waitress said she had a similar complaint yesterday for the same thing (What???).
