Air Conditioner repair. Did the diagnosis and then significantly overcharged for the repair.

I posted a review before and this is an update. I discovered that when they were supposed to check my fluids, my antifreeze was not filled. They said that I needed another axle, they had charged me $1000 for the first two. I went to someone else and he replaced the axle for $300. Do not go here. They are high priced and the work is not acceptable. Also, I saw a reply from, who I guess is the owner, but no reply to my post. read more

I had an oil change done on my Challenger. They didn't have the oil and they drove my car to get some oil. They over tightened the drain plug (there are specs from the manufacturer for this). They lost 2 bolts (replaced with bolts that are visibly larger diameter) and incorrectly reinstalled the plastic engine guard on the bottom causing the plastic piece in front of it to crack. If you could leave zero stars, that's what this place deserves. Then can't keep there records straight. Can't keep the right phone numbers with the right customer. Telling us we need new brakes. When we set the appointment. The said our 10 year old breaks are brand new and we need 4 grand worth of suspension work. Just had them replace the battery and then they blamed me for not maintaining it because you have to pay extra for them to install it correctly. What the hell!!! read more

I brought my Honda to Complete Auto Repair because I thought doing business locally would be good for all. Wrong. I was told that the valve covers needed to be removed at a cost of $414 to determine what was going on with the valves on my car. I was then told that a rocker arm was broken and that there was a great deal of dirt/carbon build up and that the cost to fix could run as high as $3600 if the catalytic converter was damaged. I advised C.A.R .to stop and I would tow my vehicle to my usual and trusted mechanic. My Mechanic has looked it over and has determined the rocker arms are just fine and there is no dirt or sludge build up to be dealt with. There is a stuck hydraulic lifter....period. Cost to replace with parts and labor was under $300. I contacted C.A.R. on May 20, 2023 via the link on their website to dispute the $414 charge and the misdiagnosis. I asked that the $414 charge be reversed or reduced since I received wrong information, was quoted a rediculus price. I felt I was being duped. To date (5/30/23) I have had no response. read more

Brought my car in for a new electronic power steering pump. Was quoted quite a large number which got larger and was told it would be complete by the next morning. I never heard anything and nobody answered the phone. I went in and they said it'll be done the next morning because they were delivered the wrong parts. The next day i still didn't hear anything so I went there and they were outside drinking beers. I got my car back and had the same problem with the steering intermittently. I took matters into my own hands and took the front off my car and found the wire harness wasn't fully attached and the steering fluid reservoir was totally full. Plus, I found a set of pliers wedged in the alternator! I wish I could talk to the owner about this matter. I'll be steering clear of this place. read more

Complete Auto Repair on Union in Lakewood is the best! A neighboring shop couldn't fix my overheating problem with my work truck, so I took it to Complete. They diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and had me back on the road in no time. I appreciated the transparency, honesty, communication, and fair pricing throughout the whole process as well. Five stars every single time. There are so many reasons I love this place. For one, I am a woman and, no matter what, they have never talked down to me and have ALWAYS been willing to explain to me exactly what is wrong with my car, in as much detail as I request. They never overcharge or scam me or tell me things are broken when they are not. They even have taken me back to the lift to help me understand exactly what I can do better when repairing my car myself (which I sometimes do). They even found within 1.5 hours of me bringing it in because I didn't have a ride to leave and was going to have to stay and wait. One time, I got into an accident due to ice across the street from their shop - after hours on a Friday - and one worker stopped and helped tow my car to their lot for free. It was snowing and cold and they went the extra mile. I will always, always go back to this place - especially the union location. 5/5 stars. read more

We had a new battery put into our old car by a different repair shop. The car wouldn't start the next day so we had it towed to Complete Auto repair on Union. They informed us that the previous repair shop stripped the connections and that we now needed another new battery. We authorized Complete Auto Repair to install another battery and got a refund from the first repair shop. The battery they installed works fine. Another time they changed the oil and topped off the fluids for $19.99 which was a good deal. read more

Find yourself a reputable mechanic. I used to like these guys and thought they treated me well. I've done work on my own cars in the past but have been busy the last couple years, so I have brought my cars here. I dropped my car with them over the weekend after having battery issues. I had AutoZone test the alternator and they said it is bad. I asked these guys to look at the alternator and let me know what they think. They get back to me saying the alternator is fine but that I have two leaks that need fixed and they will cost around $1000 each and they wanted to do an "induction cleaning service" for $220. I called my uncle who has been a mechanic for over 45 years. He laughed at their report and said these guys are trying to pull a fast one. None of the work they are suggesting needs done is present on the car. The supposed picture they took doesn't look like the leak they are claiming. I called them to pick up the car and they charged me $70 for the inspection. Louis said that was "half price." I have never had a reputable mechanic charge me when I have asked them to look at something for me. Any other mechanic would've looked at the alternator, called it good, and asked me to pick it up. I'll be looking for a new mechanic. Also, checked the fluid levels when I got it home. Fluids are all good. So much for a leak. read more

Brought my car in for AC repair and was treated horribly as well as scammed out of $120 for a diagnostic that wasn't even completed. The service manager, Andy, had a rotten attitude from the beginning. After several unprofessional exchanges, I finally asked why he was being so rude to me. He literally said, "Everyone thinks my job is to give exemplary customer service, but it's not, it's just to tell you what's wrong with your car." (Their website says they "pride themselves on excellent customer service" AND this guy didn't even accurately tell me what was 'wrong' with my car, so fails all around!) He told me I had 2 leaks in my system and it would cost about $1300 to repair. Solely because of this guy's unprofessionalism, I decided to take my car to the dealership, fully expecting to pay more in exchange for decent customer service. BEST decision I could have made! The dealer actually told me there was no evidence that C.A.R. had even done a diagnostic and that there were NO leaks in my system. They determined a sensor needed replacing and recharged my system. Now, I have ice cold air again for under $300. So not only was Andy WRONG about the diagnosis, quoting $1000 over the dealer, he charged me $120 for a service that wasn't even done. Lakewood friends, drag your car anywhere else if you want a fair deal and fair treatment, because this place is NOT somewhere you should trust. Good guys here. Although I have only had one experience with them, I'm going back and recommended them. Yelp says my review is "shorter than most" so I am now adding filler as it is somewhat offensive to say I am "shorter than most" it now says average length which makes me feel better. If you just went by the work that was done on my car, I would have given them 4-5 stars. However, the problem was with the bill. We were given an estimate and thought the estimate was fair. When we went to pay the bill, it was double the price quoted as it had not included labor. Previous experience at other repair shops, owners had separated out parts & labor and would give the total charge. Quite disappointing! read more

Just stopped by to get the 91 octane gas ... All the pumps have been removed. They had a gas leak in July of 2018 and removed all the pumps.

Brad's Conoco is a lifesaver if you need pure gasoline for high performance engines and two-stroke engines! Do you know how rare alcohol-free gas is? After some diligent searching I found Three sources from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins and one of them is the Vance Brand Airport in Longmont! Alcohol in gas is especially terrible if you intend to store the vehicle or small-engine tool for months. I understand that alcohol attracts water, which causes corrosion to parts of the fuel system and leads to failure. I know a chainsaw repair guy that has a tub of carburetors that have failed largely due to this problem and he states that gas quality has plummeted in recent years. Alcohol is a very real threat. When I buy fuel for chainsaws and splitters, I buy it from Brad because I know it won't go bad. Brad's sells 91 Octane completely without alcohol. They told me they'll keep getting it as long as they are able. I'm hugely grateful! So tell your performance-oriented friends and people that have rare collector's cars that this is the place to go. Pure gasoline produces more power per volume than gas with alcohol in it, and that's a fact that you can feel when you put a load on your engine. If you're a friend to your engines you'll store them with good fuel in the tank to prevent big trouble down the road read more

beware! got in a jam and needed a mechanic right away, They seemed great at first and got to my truck right away, fixed coolent leaks, replaced radiator and water pump and hoses all which I had done myself before, $3000.00, I knew the parts topped out at $500.00 but I was OK with price because they fixed my leak right away and its a hard job, I took it back again a week later because I was having problems starting my truck, they said it was the fuel pump which I had replaced 2 years earlier I trusted them and paid another $1000.00 plus, Well problem not fixed and owner became confrontational, He said bring it back and they would run another test on it for free so I brought it back, He put it to the side and said he was to busy to get to it right away, all of that is fine but he told me I needed rear breaks 400.00 plus and within 5 stops they would be metal to metal well I just replaced the break pads and wouldnt you know it but I had over 50% of the pad left, There is more but I dont want to write a book, Its to bad that you still cant trust people, beware! read more

A rare gas station that provided ethanol-free 91 octane and lower-ethanol 87 & 85. I have not used the mechanic services but they are friendly and appear very competent. Worth it just for the cleaner gas. read more

Whoo hoo! Ethanol-free Conoco premium right from the pump! For those of us with older high-performance cars (no cats), this is the way to go! This alone is enough to recommend Brad's Conoco. Haven't sampled their service yet. read more

Glad I found ethanol free gasoline. I drove by on 7/23/16 and there was caution tape around the whole store. Couldn't get fuel and store was closed. Does anyone know what happened? read more
