I have been going to Complete Eye Care for many years. When I worked in Inglewood, I received services at both the Inglewood and Hawthorn stores. I was excited to find the store on Crenshaw as I was in town to run errands. I went there for an eye exam, not glasses. From what I could see, they have a great selection of glasses and the prices look pretty good too! When I checked in on Yelp, there was a 10% off your entire order coupon. I made an appointment for an eye exam. The first time I went, I waited for 30 minutes and I had to get back to work. I rescheduled and came back a week later, this time I waiting fifteen minutes past my appointment time, but I did get in. Dr. Fong was great. He's professional and easygoing. I was pleased with the exam and the prescription he gave me. He wasn't pushy at all. He said I didn't really need glasses which is good but wrote a prescription for me to show my doctor who did my laser surgery. It can get really busy. Both times I went, it was a weekday at 1 PM. I noticed by 2:00 PM it was much less crowded. Again, I didn't go here for glasses, so my review isn't probably very helpful in this case. I wasn't totally satisfied. However I did get glasses with them a few years ago, this visit Left eye was filled with pus in corner of eye. Told to clean/ wipe with warm water. But a day after my eye (left) was actually filled with pus and believe I needed something to clear up. They make great recommendations and always have time to help resolve any repair issues. When my glasses hadn't arrived in time for my vacation, this company offered me an additional pair at no charge. I was flabbergasted because my insurance company -- not the eyeglass company -- caused the delay. How many companies are this kind and generous these days? They have a great group of employees who go beyond and above for their customers and bend over backwards to rectify an adverse situation. The eye test: $ 60.00 DIYS contact instruction course: $ 10.00 1 year contacts $ 60.00 They have many deals here for glasses, my eyes are like those of an eagle, I got no problem, so I really do not care about this part of 'fashion'. But I saw some cool Giorgio Armani Sunglasses, but because I am notorious with sunglasses I prefer not to spend more than $10.00 for a pair. I either break 'em or loos 'em. I initially called at around 2:30pm on a Tuesday. I wanted to get a good understanding about what to expect as someone who currently has no insurance. My call was answered by a gentleman who provided me with the breakdown of costs for eye exam only or eye exam + a purchase of prescription glasses. Based on his responses I made a same day appointment for 4:30pm. I arrived a couple of minutes prior and was immediately welcomed by Edwars. He provided me with information regarding protocols that had been enacted due to covid 19. These protocols allow customers to continue to safely look through an assortment of glasses to find the best fit and look. Once I made my decision Edwar went over the pricing and lens prescription information. He was absolutely phenomenal! He made sure to explain the price breakdown so I knew what I was paying for and provided me with a range of options so that my needs were met without exceeding my budget. He went above and beyond to make sure I got a great deal! I was thrilled to select not just one but two new pairs! The whole transaction was taken care of by 5:00pm. I was expecting to receive my glasses the following day but Edwar informed me that they would be ready by closing that same day. I left to grab a bite to eat and I returned right before closing. I was able to pick up my glasses and head home with them that same day. She was very condescending when I told her I couldn't see out of my glasses, the prescription wrong and I had to come back to the store 5x, wasting gas to get a recheck and the correct prescription. They won't send you your own prescription through email you have to come to the store or have them fax it. And I asked if I can get my pupillary distance and she was extremely rude to me again. I will NEVER be coming back to this store to spend ANY money with them, they're careless, lack class, and the customer service is extremely poor. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. I have purchased glasses from them for several years. Recently I purchased a new pair of glasses for $80, frames and lenses included. Within a few weeks the lenses were scratched so I returned to see if they could be repaired. Unfortunately they could not. I asked what the cost of replacing the scratched lenses in the same frames would be. $80, even though the new frame and lenses cost the same. Needless to say I did NOT have that done - I found another place just down the street which replaced the lenses for $39. I remember going there years ago and got excellent service. Decided to go despite living in Pasadena because memories of living in this area and this shop took me back to great customer service. Having state vision program never was issue before. Exam was good, bit of a wait and then asked about my free glasses in program and informed them that I would buy another 2 pair with my own money. I asked the price in progressive lenses. They said no progressive lenses for the free pair (state paying). I said how much more for the progressive? Again, no. I am going to 3 pair and I do not mind paying more for the sponsored pair. Again, they said no. Everyone was rude, annoying and I barely left with my prescription.
