This restaurant had been on my list to try and I finally made it in for brunch. The ambience is really nice upon arrival with a floral arrangement around the door and a cute heart on the side entrance as well. They have done a great job with a colorful and bright decor. The service I received was very good... he gave good suggestions on the menu options. I decided to have a Fruida drink with my chips salsa which was really good but the cute bird glasses always definitely cut down on the serving size. The chips and salsa includes four salsa options which was different. I like 3 of the 4 options. For my main entree I had the ham omelet. It was good but could have used more seasoning. Overall it was a good experience and I will return again soon.

Frida is the red drink in the pretty bird glass. Flamingo Collins is the pink drink in the flamingo glass.

If you are looking for a unique experience with friendly service, a beautiful atmosphere and great food. This is the place!! Great authentic Mexican food! The menu is a bit limited if you compare to a chain Mexican restaurant, but that's the point of this authentic, family owned restaurant; the food you order is delicious and specially crafted! The drink menu was incredibly unique and the special glasses for the cocktails just added in to the experience.

The food was absolutely delicious. I am visiting from Savannah, Georgia, where Mexican food is essentially nonexistent. The sopita de fideo felt like home, back in California. Service was great! My waitress was Melissa, she answered my questions and was very kind. The interior is stunning. Best food yet.

At last an authentic Mexican food restaurant in Trussville, AL! It is also a very pretty space with Mexican style decor; but the best part is all the delicious drinks that Daniel, the bar mixologist, prepares!!

We had a great first experience at this new restaurant! It is beautiful inside, loved the decor and atmosphere. We had great service from our waiter and many other staff members as well, all very kind and welcoming! The food was DELISH. I got the enchiladas verdes and my husband got the con huevos torta. They were both sooo good! Wish I had gotten a pic of the torta because it was so pretty too but hubby scarfed it down before I got a chance! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic food! Quality food prepared freshly. The interior is beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. Service is friendly and the plate presentation is beautiful. Loved the brunch margarita and Bloody Mary. Will definitely return!

    Enchiladas Rojas.

I have tried both the Enmoladas and Enchiladas Rojas and they were delicious. I have also tried the avocado toast but it was bland to me. Also, the bread used for the avocado toast is too thick and hard to cut. The decor is very pretty. The service can be a bit slow and it's very noisy. The staff are very friendly.

I passed this place by several times and never gave it a thought. We are very new to the area. My wife being Mexican laughed at the name and said let's go see what it's about. We walked in not knowing what to expect as we didn't even research it or looked it up on Google. I'm sure glad I didn't. If you're looking for your typical turn and burn run of the mill Mexican or Texmex. This AINT IT! You will however be treated to a unique culinary experience that will delight those whom have "been around". Yes, the first impression can be interesting as it's small, yet elegant with a touch of sophistication and an elevated ambiance. The linen and table cloths were a welcoming surprise as well. I could tell immediately we were not in your average Mexican restaurant as soon as I walked in. The menu was my second confirmation. My wife and I ordered 3 breakfast so we could share plates and explore. Glad we did. Looking into the open kitchen was also confirming my thoughts. The line seem to work well together. I could tell they were cooking to order and not throwing slop together. When the food arrived I was taken back by the beautiful presentation. You don't get eatable flowers in Mexican restaurants. The food looked like a work of art and tasted even better. The chilaquiles in green sauce were the best I've ever had. I've had Mexican food in many countries and all over Mexico. As soon as I started eating all kinds of bells were ringing in my head. This again was not the run of the mill joint. This is fresh made food (not frozen) in the Mexico City style. I couldn't contain myself and asked the server about it. She confirmed the owner (chef) is from Mexico City and they don't even have a freezer on the premises. Come on folks. When was the last time you had fresh food in a Mexican restaurant? Some complain about the time it takes to get the food. If you want fast go to Taco bell. I'll never complain when a restaurant is serving me authentic food with quality ingredients. My recommendation is to taste life and enjoy the ride at "con huevos"!

This is a very authentic Mexican experience, and one I highly recommend. Too bad the tariffs forced it to close.

First of all let me tell you this is a Safe Space for LGBTQ people. Sarah, Leslie, and Austin are legends. The whole staff is so sweet and the people are really friendly. There's another really cute guy who tends bar and I am so bad with names it kills me. I popped in a few weeks after they opened and I'm now a weekly regular. Best of all, NO ONE UNDER 18 Allowed! So no kids running around. It's a dream come true. The bar has a great selection of canned and bottled beers with a Happy Hour that helps your wallet. A good selection of wine and liquor to. No draft as of yet, but ya don't need it. My Usual order is a IPA and a Shot of Fernet. But I can never leave without a Resting Peach Face Frozen Cocktail or a Bushwhacker. Ask for a Fernet Topper on you're Bushwhacker. I call it the Emmy Jane Special, no one else does XD. Trust me it works. I love the Egg Rolls and The Burgers. The sports bar atmosphere is a very loud environment so it is not conducive to a lot of talking but still an enjoyable experience. My wife really likes the Zydeco Salad (sweet chili-glazed fried shrimp, mixed greens, cabbage, candied pecans, jalapeños, tortilla strips, red onions, bell peppers, jack cheese, pepper jelly vinaigrette). Pepper Jack Boudin (jack cheese, pepper jelly vinaigrette) is almost always a part of our order. If you have never had, I recommend you give them a try. The Voodoo Shrimp & Grits (bacon-wrapped jalapeño and cream cheese stuffed-shrimp tossed in sweet chili glaze, served with cheddar grits) are an interesting take on the traditional Louisiana dish. I had never had corn mixed in with my grits before but it was a nice addition. The dish is large enough to split, especially when you add the boudin and Beignet Bites for a full meal. The Seafood Poboy with a choice of boom boom shrimp, fried shrimp or fried catfish with tomato, lettuce, pickles, mayo, poboy bread is another great option.

The outdoor area by Neighbors had tons of activities and TV's for large groups. The indoor area seemed like a mini food court with an arcade. There was a pizza place, a bbq joint and a bar. They all kind of seem connected but you had to pay separately at each place. I had my buddy order me a Screen Test Pizza which is a garlic puree cream sauce as a base with smoked chicken, roasted tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese. I normally don't like white sauce pizzas, but I had to pee and just picked something since my buddy was paying. My little faux pas turned out to be a great decision. The pizza was great. The beer was decent; the Belgian triple was my favorite of the 2, with the double IPA being the other one. They didn't have a big selection and they didn't have flights.
