I am writing this review in regards to my AWESOME experience this afternoon. I was driving to class early Friday morning when I was about a block from my school. I heard a pop sound coming from the hood. I was blessed to be able to park my car in a safe parking and look under the hood. My upper radiator hose blew up, and radiator fluid started to leak out. Thank goodness it was not a lot. My class ended at 3pm and I decided to call AAA for a tow back in Vallejo where I live. I go to school in Walnut Creek. It'll be about 30 miles back. The tow truck came about 15 mins after I called AAA and greeted by Shawn #13 who is extremely polite and compassionate. He looked at the car and under the hood and suggested it's a easy fix. He also recommended few local auto parts to replace the blown radiator hose. I found a place nearby and he offered to take me there to get the parts. Shawn help me install the hose and I was back on the road in 20 mins. Shawn help me save my tow miles and got me back on the road. On our way to the parts store Shawn express his time in the military where he served as sergeant. He has not had any towing experience in the military but it felt like he's been doing this for decades. My overall experience is just simply fantastic. Shawn is angel sent who will go the extra mile for his customers. I'm very grateful for my experience. Shawn deserves a 5 star rating or more. Thank you Concord Tow World for an exceptional service. They again came promptly and professionally, tested the battery, alternator, etc, and decided it was a bad battery. Replaced if for free under warranty. So why two stars? The tow car driver got into arguments at a busy intersection and challenged other driver to " step out of the car". I needed a tow truck to tow my car from Concord to San Francisco on a Saturday afternoon, so I called AAA and they sent Concord Tow World over. Ten minutes later Concord Tow World called me and said since there's parade in San Francisco they were not sending any drivers to San Francisco! The route going from Concord to the shop I was towing to (Cesar Cheavz) doesn't even pass by the parade area. Both AAA and Concord Tow World kept telling me all streets were closed, even the street in front of the shop was closed ! which of course was not true! They didn't want to tow to San Francisco just because "We are having a driver stucks in San Francisco, We can't risk for another one, you will have to wait till tomorrow". What kind of towing service would tell you to wait till tomorrow just because there's traffic in the SF Bayarea? After talking with both AAA and Concord Tow World over the phone for more than 30 minutes, I deceided to leave the car there (in the driveway) and had it tow 'tomorrow'. About 15mins after I left, AAA called me and said Concord Tow World could come over, let me fill out the paper work and they could tow the car..so they could tow my car to SF tomorrow!? I told the rep I left already and I didn't want Concord Tow World to keep my car overnight. And I asked the AAA rep if it's ok for me to not being there with the car tomorrow, and she said yes, as long as i could show the driver my membership card at the destination. 5 minutes later, Concord Tow World called me and said their driver was in front of my car! WTF! I told them I already talked to AAA and decided to have it towed 'tomorrow' since you are not going to SF today! The next morning, I called AAA and requested for a tow, they kept telling me I needed a moving tag, I kept telling them there's a guy with the car and he had key and registration doc. (sticker) of the car. The AAA rep just kept repeating whatever note she read on their system and didn't listen at all! So I asked for her supervisor and she just transfered me back to the AAA phone system main menu!! So i had to call again and I asked for a supervisor right away (I believe the same rep picked up the phone) and she just hung me up! What a quality of service! So i called again and finally to get to talk to a supervisor and now she told me I needed to be there with the car in order to request for a tow service! I told the supervisor I asked your rep yesterday if it was ok for me not being there with the car but I would be at the destination and she said ok! Today you are telling me I need to be there? I'm not there with the car IS because your Tow company didn't want to go to SF!! After all this BS, I ended up driving all the way back to Concord with another car and finally had the car towed to SF on Sunday... read more

I had the misfortune to have my car break down in Walnut Creek, I called AAA, Note: I have been a member since the 90's and have not used the service even once, up to this afternoon... I called around 1:30 pm and requested a jump start, a young man with a yellow truck showed up 40 minutes later, and determined that it was the starter, he called and requested a tow truck, they said 1 hour and 20 minutes, it is about 2:15 pm and the truck is supposed to be there at 3:35 pm, and as the hour came and I called them, it became 20 minutes.. Oh sorry 20 minutes... and 20 minutes... The truck finally showed up close to 5:45 PM, And when you break down, NOT in the middle of nowhere but in Down Town Walnut Creek and sit in your car from 1:30 to 5:45 pm it gets old very fast... The driver was very nice and professional and I can's complain about him, it is the dispatchers and AAA, Seriously, if you do not have the trucks, or the drivers etc. Don't lie to your customers be frank and say sorry it is going to be four hours, and sorry we have been taking your money for road side assistance for years promising things we can not deliver read more

In the last 14 days Ron has been sent to my rescue in the rain. He not only helped me in both situations where I carelessly killed my battery BUT also taught me how to avoid a similar issue. Mark is great. He loaded my failed-fuelpump car after pushing it down a level from a parking space in a parking structure on Locust in W.C. with much too low ceilings. It was on the truck in no time, unloaded at the mechanics in the same amount of time and I was on my way within a few minutes with a generous friend.
