Holy smokes! Where do I even begin. I don't know if it was timing or just plain bad luck, but I have had dilemma with these guys that lasted over the course of this past summer we just had. I called AAA roadside service in hopes of getting help with my car being towed. Unfortunately Chris (Tow Driver) came to assist with the tow. First, let me say that they came with a standard tow truck, not a flatbed which I insisted they bring, due to my car having a low profile than most vehicles. The driver told me it was fine and that he would be able to handle it without any issues. Being hesitant, I gave in and trusted his call since this was his profession, something I thought he would have more knowledge about than myself. Well, I ended up having to find out the hard way. When we arrived to the shop to drop off the car, Chris the tow truck driver was approaching the driveway, He told me he would be able to make it up the driveway without any issues. So as he's pulling up, my entire car is suddenly coming off the dolly brackets that help keep the back wheels mounted to the hitch of the truck. As this is happening, I'm standing right beside the vehicle, screaming for the driver to stop in hopes that he would hear me. He stopped luckily right before the car was literally going to fall off the truck. At this point, the bumper is completely off its track, from being tugged on with the car almost falling off the dolly brackets, my driver side quarter panel was completely damaged on one side because of the dolly bracket penetrating the car harder on one of the sides on the car. Lastly, both of the rear wheels were scratched, which was the icing on the cake (I had just purchased brand new rims no more than a month prior to this, also custom ordered from Japan) and now those too were damaged. He comes out and looks at what happened, frozen and not knowing what to say to me, he immediately tries to budge the car free from the brackets that were both lodged up in my wheel wells. Finally, he frees my vehicle from the tow truck and at the point I immediately started to take pictures. After I take photos of what had happened, the driver quickly hopped back in his truck, said goodnight and leaves acting oblivious to what had just happened. Shortly after I called AAA immediately and tell them what had happened. They told me not to worry that this would be taken care with no issues at all. They got in touch with the owner, which I believe is Steven (either the owner or manager who runs that place) since they aren't a REAL AAA establishment, just a contractor through AAA. So Steven gets in touch with me and tells me to bring the car by so he can acknowledge the damages done by the driver. After doing that, he then sent me to Jim's Auto Body off of Monument in Concord. They asked me for the receipt of the wheels since they were aftermarket and would need to be replaced, and I did just that. Steven calls me back, saying that the rims were too expensive for him and that he recommends I take them to a wheel repair shop, just so he could save money out of his pocket. I really did not want to do this since this has been so much off of a hassle already, just making matters more difficult. So I left the car with them, (no rental car was given to me as well keep in mind...) A week later I come to pick up the car and only half of the car was repaired (1 wheel and the drivers ide damage, other wheel and bumper were left untouched. I told Jims Auto Body that I wouldn't pick it up since all the repairs weren't fixed. Steven then calls me the following Monday, then tells me that he thought it was only the driver side of the car that was damaged, when I specifically told and showed him it was the entire rear of the car (which doesn't make sense to me how he couldn't see the logic when the car was towed up on its rear entirely). This really upset me, because prior to this instance, my car had no damage on it whatsoever. Now I don't own a Ferrari, but I do have a nice Infiniti and I really like cars, so I love to keep my car well taken care of and garaged. Finally, I came back a second time to retrieve my car... And still the other wheel wasn't repaired!!! The guys over at Jim's told me that Steven wasn't going to hold himself accountable for the rest of the damage he did to me my car. I was so fed up with Steven's service, I felt like I was being brushed off at this point and he wasn't returning my calls anymore either. Long story short I had to again get back on the phone with AAA and tell them how half-a** Steven's work service/ethic was that it got to the point where the Regional Manager of AAA got in touch and eventually had to issue me a check in part with Steven's lack of responsibility. It's almost 3 months now and this incident is still lingering when it should've been taken care of from the get go, rather than going through so many hoop and loops just to get my car fixed. I hope that Brett S. from AAA will reconsider these guys' contract. read more

Would not recommend at ALL Very bad attitudes of both service people who came out to jump start my car. First guy started going thru my trunk looking for the battery without my permission and then looking in owner's manual for battery location. When questioned if he was experienced with BMWs he got upset and called his office. I asked for new service person who arrived without even saying a word, like his name or where he was from and when I said you are not too happy he said " well I was pulled off another job just to come here" Sorry to inconvenience everyone from Concord Tow World. Am now waiting for another company to get my car jumped. Please let them be a bit more pleasant and kind. read more

I had the absolute worst towing experience with this company on the evening of 12/18/2013. They lied because they did not want to take me across town to my home, 20 miles away. There were no accidents so they had to stay local, as the driver told me, because I was with the manager of an ambulance company who receives all alerts on his cell at all times - and he had no alerts whatsoever. The driver was very sketchy and very rude, and when I called AAA to ask what in the world is going on, they put me through to the tow truck company's dispatch, where another weird person was on the line with slurred speech. They then wanted that I pay for the first, local, tow, and the next day tow to my house would be the "free" AAA tow. It was absolutely insane. Do not use these people. I am in contact with AAA to have them investigate and hopefully drop as a contractor. read more

Called AAA for a dead battery and they unfortunately sent Concord towing.. The driver finally arrived 1 hour and 40 minutes after my first call and a 1/2 hour after they said the driver was 3.2 miles away. When I said" WTF dude, they said you were 3 miles away a 1/2 hour ago", the driver smirked and said he could just leave and he did. He just smile and drove away knowing he was leaving me stranded in a remote parking lot with no one else in sight. When, too my dismay, AAA sent them a second time, a different driver arrived over two hours from my initial call to AAA. I was standing next to my car when he arrived. The new driver stated that he was the manager. He told me to get in my car and not talk to him or he he would leave me stranded too. (Nice customer service and problem resolution) When I asked what the other driver accused me of saying to him, The "manager" just kept telling me to get in my car and threatening to leave. Though I don't actually know for sure, it appears the first driver had said I verbally abused him. This makes little sense because I had a 6 hour drive ahead of me, had waited 1.5 hours already, and was stuck there. Additionally, it most likely would not be he drivers fault as he an employee answering a call. I never did get an answer on what I was supposed to have but the manager told me that he would always believe his drivers and never a customer????? I have filed a complaint with AAA. My family and I have been members for over 40 years and have never had a problem. In fact,other than this incident, I would give AAA 5 stars. BTW, I didn't tip either driver. When I read other reviews, especially, the ones that are not as easy to find on yelp. This appears to have happened a number of times with different scenarios but always two seperate visits and a long wait. After CTW confirmed a pick up with me. I scheduled my entire day around being there when they arrived. Hours later than what was told to me I* called CTW to check on the status. I ran into a "supervisor" that ruined my impression of the CTW professional service I once knew. While speaking to me like a bum, Renee, was out right rude. "You just don't like to be told no," was one of her comments before she hung up on me. She offered no explanation or solution. Unknowingly to her I was willing to pay out of pocket cost for the service. She had no intention of providing managerial expertise and demonstrated no poise. I asked rational, straight forward questions. As a owner of multiple sports cars (of which occasionally need a tow) these are the types of people I avoid. Sooo about my manic Monday... while arriving to work I slammed on my brakes to avoid hitting a group of froggy pedestrians, I digress... immediately after, my car began making an terrible noise. So much in fact, that I didn't want to risk driving it home after my shift. My call to AAA began at 9:20 and the call somehow was disconnected as I gave her my phone number...convenient. I called back and got a pleasant young lady and I told her where I was in the parking structure and the issue and why I pay for the plus towing so I can make it home. She said someone should be there within 30-45 minutes and to meet them at the street level of the garage. No problem. After receiving the text they would be there in 5-10 minutes I head down and wait for my driver. I'm fairly friendly so I introduce myself and hop in to where he drives me up to level 3 to get my car (affectionately called Lilac). Once we get to my car he's asking me "what's wrong with it?" A simple enough question, but I'm not a mechanic, all I can say is I don't feel safe driving it 23 miles across the bridge based on the sounds and shaking it was making. So, he drives it around the parking structure at first and is like "I don't see what's wrong you can probably get home fine." THEN the sound and issue reappears and he's like "Oh." I guess I was getting agitated because isn't it your ONE job to tow me where I'm needing to go? So, he says he's low on gas and doesn't really want to drive "all the way to Vallejo" and then he CALLS his dispatch saying i am REQUESTING a FLATBED to take me. Hunh?? I'm just REQUESTING to get my car to my mechanics. It wasn't that hard. So easy a kid could do it. Well, I'm standing there waiting while he is calling the dispatcher and then on his personal cell phone cursing at some one else when they tell him it will be like TWO HOURS for the next truck to get to me and if he could take my car down to street level for me. No thanks, Henry. We're done. I've NEVER had a worse tow experience. This is from the girl that has been towed to Vallejo from TRUCKEE after a winter snow fiasco I'd rather not think about again... Well, I get in my car and drove Lilac in front of my job and did the only thing I could do...wait. Luckily, I was safe and it wasn't raining but the point is that I didn't end up getting home until 12:45am. Apparently, after a certain time there is only ONE driver for all 5 cities. Super sad and I'm sure super stressful. He apologized PROFUSELY and I'm telling you Sonny was a SAINT. He deduced that the last driver didn't want to take me (for whatever reasons he may have had) and left me there. Sonny, took me to my mechanic's but went the extra step and dropped me off at home so I wouldn't have to walk home at almost 1am. I was grateful for his sincerity in an already bad situation. I guess my thing is, if i'm PAYING AAA for a plus service, how can any driver refuse to do their job??? If I don't to my job at work- they will find someone else that will. #endrant read more

These guys are down right dangerous. They do not use safety chains very rarely will you see one of there tow trucks with the tow lites attached to a car. and their flatbed drivers never use a full four point tie down as required by law. When you see one of these guys towing a car down the road do yourself a favor and get out of the way because you never know when one of there improper hook ups is going to come loose crashing into everything in its path. read more

Concord Tow World is the best! I've had to call 3A a couple of times in the last several months, and both times a wonderful tow truck driver named Tuan came to my rescue! He is so considerate, upbeat, and professional. His company is very lucky to have him, but all the techs I've dealt with over the years from Concord Tow World have been very helpful. I had two different drivers from Concord Tow World come out to pick up my girlfriend's car yesterday. I had AAA put in a service call and made them add a note to the driver that a wheel was missing from the car. The first guy, I believe was Jesse. He said he couldn't take the car, because he didn't want to cause any damage to the car and be held responsible. He was nice about it, though, and offered some advice on what to do with the missing wheel before he left. So Jesse gets 1 star for at least trying to help. Then later on in the day, I called AAA again and explained to them what happened. The operator I spoke to from AAA said that his supervisors confirmed that the driver MUST pick up the car if the service call is put in, so they arranged for another driver to come from Concord Tow World. Another driver comes, I think his name is Johnny but his name tag was faded so it was hard to read (heavyset guy). He wasn't as helpful as Jesse. He was firm with his NO answer and referred me to two different tow companies and said maybe they would do it. I explained to him what the AAA operator said about getting authorization from his supervisors, but he wasn't having any of it. He just said that the drivers would be held responsible for any damage. I offered to sign a waiver to release him from any responsibility, and he said that wouldn't do anything. He told me to call AAA and tell them that the driver refused to pick it up yet not tell them why. "Less is more" is what he said. So I called AAA yet again after he left, and they put me on hold while they spoke with dispatch. The AAA rep then tells me that the driver claims that I wouldn't sign a waiver, but I'm the one who offered to sign a waiver in the first place. I'm the one who brought it up, so I'm thinking this guy is trippin' and just trying to cover for himself. If you don't want to do it, fine, but don't try to cover your butt and lie to get out of it. If you can, avoid this company. If you have to use it, then try to request for Jesse. He was at least nice and helpful. This Johnny guy or whatever his name is wasn't any help. I ended up getting the car towed by North Main Tow, who was able to tow it without any hassles at all. read more

Used Concord Tow this morning... Tow truck was quick... less than 30 minutes (if your from the bay this is almost impossible)... The driver was friendly and wonderful! Dispatch was friendly as well. The tow truck driver actually ended up changing my mind on the mechanic I was sending it to and I have to say that was an excellent choice too (see my review on Mark's Auto - Concord CA)... it was the perfect combination. We had just bought a freezer full of frozen food when our car refused to start in a supermarket parking lot. The starter clicked but the engine wouldn't turn over. We called AAA, and within a short period of time a van from Concord Tow World showed up. The driver, Terrance, checked the battery, which was indeed dead. I thought we'd end up being towed to some garage, but he told us he had a replacement battery onboard and could replace it right then if we would like. He was very polite and low-key, and didn't put any pressure on us, he just gave us the information and then did the job quickly. We were very happy with the service, and got home with the food still frozen! read more

Worse service from the girl handling dispatch on 11/18/2016. I told her I was between Willow Pass Rd exit and Port Chicago Hwy on Hwy 4. This girl calls me and tells me I'm lying and tells me I'm not where I'm suppose to be. I told her I been there for the past 3 hours waiting for them. She gets an attitude and I had to text her picture of me stuck on the highway. Then she calls back and say "Oh we cant help you because you havent crossed the Willow Pass Rd boundary mark." Did apologize at all for her attitude. I was glad I didnt have to deal with them. I asked her if I should push the truck 30 more feet in order to be over the boundary mark to be over on the other side of the Willow Pass line. She just said no we will route your tow to another company. No customer service skills at all for this girl. Not sure why they would hire her, she is just bringing the company down. I have always had great service til I had to deal with her. Since this incident I was contacted and they are going to work on correcting the issue. Hopefully they can polish the bad apple if not it needs to be replaced. Appreciate the reply and Im now giving them a better rating. read more

If I could give a negative star review, I would. My brother got in an accident and they towed his car back to their tow yard on Sunday morning. They told him to come in and he can clean out his car. When he went in to clean out his car, he found out that EVERY SINGLE VALUABLE THING IN HIS CAR WAS NOT THERE! When he went inside to talk to the man at the front desk, the man was beyond rude and said there was nothing he could do besides look at the tapes for a timeline. He told my brother that he would call him around 10am about the footage and if he didn't call, to come in and talk to him. Now you might think that the POS front desk guy might have actually checked the tapes since this is a very serious matter. NOPE! He said he can't get in to the office to look at the tapes. If this whole thing doesn't scream SKETCHY AF, I don't know what does. I hope stealing the valuables are worth getting sued!!!! read more

A-arm joints totally broke on my truck. Called AAA and first dude showed up and told us "we're hella busy. You need a different truck" and just left. He gave no real explination but said some one else would come, but that it may take a while because they were "hella busy." The second driver Ronnie came to the rescue within ten minutes!!! He went above and beyond to take care of my 72 chevy. He spent extra effort to make sure my truck made it home safe without any extra damage. It was abvios that he actually cared about my truck. He was awesome. Totally not "too busy" for us. I can't give the whole company Five stars, but ronnie gets all of them! read more

I was rear ended last night on the merge of 242 and 4. Other than a nice case of whiplash I am in great shape. After the CHP did their thing they called Concord Tow World using my AAA membership. My car has wasn't destroyed, but the impact pressed the bumper and bumper cap into my rear tires, so it wasn't safe to drive. Ahmed did an outstanding job. One of the most professional tow drivers I've dealt with. He was fast, professional, polite, and seemed to take great care with everything, a very welcome situation after dealing with the accident. My thanks to Ahmed and Concord Tow World for making a supremely crappy night end nicely. If I ever need AAA service again I sure hope it's within their service area. read more

Today I had quite the experience with Concord Tow World. I purchased a used Mercedes from a private owner, bad decision. It's been nothing but a headache. Today I had the car towed to Mercedes of Walnut Creek. I came to the decision I just needed it towed home. I called AAA to have them meet me at Mercedes. I got there before driver and spoke to employees at Mercedes who told me where to have to tow truck enter. When the gentleman, I will leave nameless because I am a bigger person, arrived he called me. He was very rude stating he didn't know where to go. I walked to his truck and told him what I knew. I hoped into the tow truck to show him entrance Mercedes employees showed me. He gets to gate and instantly starts in how it's too narrow. Finally pulls in then stops saying he can't get to my car. I offer to run and get employees to assist, then ask the driver if he preferred to just drive back to main entrance and his reply was "I don't care I just want to hurry up and tow this car" baffled I walked away to find Mercedes employee to assist. I find a nice guy who walks to tow truck & discusses with driver best action and hops into tow truck and rides with guy to different entrance. They back in next to my car and the driver asks Mercedes employee to have a car moved, so he went to find the key. The driver then approaches me and goes into how this is just taking too long that he "only has 10 minutes per call and has a line of people waiting" I told him no one on the phone with AAA told me I needed to do anything specific, that all I did was call and ask to have my car towed home. He said he was AAA, then He then says how he isn't trying to be rude but its just a fact that this is taking far too long. I finally told him "if you need to leave then I guess you need to leave" AND THE JERK LEFT! So I had to call AAA back, complain and request a new truck sent out. And hour later......... Now here is where it all changes. Out of the flatbed truck hops Henry. He asked what happened and let me vent. He went on to say his coworker is a nice guy and doesn't get complaints. I told Henry I appreciated him speaking well of his coworker but this situation was unacceptable and uncalled for. Henry then told me "all you need to know now is I'm here handling it and I'll get your car home." He took my AAA card and I'D, had me sign papers, let's me vent a little more then sent me home to my kids to get them dinner (I originally got to dealership at 3:30, it was now 5:45) Henry got the car to my house and off the bed of his truck. He was professional, friendly, caring and a hard worker. If it wasn't for Henry redeeming this company is have been leaving a much different review! Henry, thanks for making a stressful situation much easier, and I'm sending positive energy to your loved one! Concord Tow, you've got one awesome employee in Henry! My car battery died Saturday night after my two year old left a door ajar. My husband tried to jump it Sunday without success (the battery would not charge!), so Monday morning I called AAA. Within 30 minutes of my phone call, Ron from Concord Tow World had been to my house, tested my bad battery, sold me a new one, and had it installed and my car running. A few weeks ago my son's battery died in his car while it was parked in an underground garage in Walnut Creek...at 11:00 pm. I called AAA, they said a tow truck would be there between 30-60 minutes and I thought we were all good. Over 2 hours of frustration on the phone with AAA and three different tow companies and finally, Sonny from Concord Tow, my knight in shining armor, jumped the car. The frustration I had was not with Concord Tow but with AAA. AAA bounced me back and forth between tow companies because everyone was so busy that night and all of the trucks either had non working portable chargers or were too big to fit into the underground garage. To make a long story short, the AAA dispatchers were totally useless and the only person who actually could help me was the Concord Tow dispatcher (can't remember the angel's name). She ended up leaving the phones, running to her warehouse to retrieve a portable charger, and then running outside to give it to one of her drivers, who then drove out to where we were. She went out of her way to get us taken care of so we could get home and get some sleep. Thank you! read more

Got a call from my daughter. Her car just flat-out stopped running. Called AAA (they have such a good towing service) and they sent Sean out from Concord Tow World. What a great guy, tried to start the car up,checked it out and made suggestions that the problem was serious. He towed the car to Pep Boys. Without making this too long, we had the car towed again to a repair shop we know (Kunio's). Sean again was the tow truck driver and it was like seeing an old friend. Again, he towed the car, we talked, he was so pleasant, outgoing with a great sense of humor. AND IMPORTANTLY, he definitely knew what he was doing. So, if Sean is representative of Concord Tow World then I say don't hesitate to go with them. We talked and again, my daughter and I were so pleased with Sean and his work ethic. read more

A little late but thought I should write a review! I called my AAA insurance provider for road side assistance after my battery In my jeep left me stranded infront of a store on 5/18/14. Concord tow world was sent to us and the driver Henry was quick to help. Henry was so courteous and knowledgable and was able to get my jeep started again in no time! Sean was amazing. Our car drove to the Walgreens just fine but when we came out it wouldn't start at all. On further inspection the problem couldn't be handled there in the parking lot, so Sean quickly came with his carrier, loaded up the car and took it to the repair shop.
