Went on a Saturday night with a group of 9, it's 34 dollars an hour for a lane, are you kidding me? It was fine for us because we split it 9 ways, but if I was coming here with like one or two other people this price would not be doable. Also costs 4 dollars to rent shoes.. Let me break it down for you, if you come here with your girlfriend to bowl a little, if it's just the two of you it would cost you 42 dollars for one hour of bowling.. Pass. Anyways, try to rent shoes and there are no size 9's, there was also no 9 1/2 or 10! This place keeps getting better and better.. So I can either rent shoes that are too small or much too big. I opted for a tiny bit too small and got an 8 1/2, my feet started hurting after about 5 minutes of wearing them. Also no bowling balls on the racks. The racks of balls were completely empty, so you had to settle for whatever was already at your lane. Very annoying. There's not enough room at the lane to seat your bowling party so some people have to stand behind the seats or sit much further back. This makes it very hard to converse with your friends while bowling and getting back and fourth between the lane and your seat is very cramped. For a while on the projections they were showing the hockey play offs and baseball games which was cool. After about ten minutes of us bowling they changed it to 90's rap videos.. It sucked and made the time in between your turns take much longer than they normally would. There's only so many times you can hear Thong Song or Booty Go Smack before you go crazy.. Fun place with a good atmosphere! The music was on point and the food is not bad. Had a fun time bowling and enjoyed the bar area after our game. The only thing I will call out is that most of the machines only take cash and there isn't an ATM onsite. So if you want a bottled water, need socks or want to play pool you need to bring cash. read more

Only been to this place once and once was enough for me not to want to go back. Overall clean place but the way I was treated was sad. The bartenders are very unprofessional and cause I made an honest comment about the service she refused to serve me and my friend. Despite the treatment I got I managed to have a good time with my friends. We probably wont be going back but if you ever want a place to drink with horrible bartenders that don't check ID's this is the place to come. Anyone can get away with drinking. The service at the bar sucks. I have to waive someone down for help. They are not attentive and check up on people. All the times I've needed something I had to get their attention. Awesome place to go to on Fridays and Saturdays. Past 8 pm you need to show your ID to get inside the venue. The music is off the charts and videos play along with it on the multiple screens. Sometimes you might need to wait to go bowling during the weekends. I've been here multiple times and always have an excellent time. Let's first talk about the food. The WINGS have a bunch of meat and are delicious. It's 10 wings for about $8 and let me tell you about it that I get them everything. BOMB! I've never had the pizza but my friends say it is really good. I would say if you go bowling here grab some food too. The bar sells drinks for really cheap and it keeps bringing you back. The bad thing is that they don't sell pitchers or anything. The customer service is pretty good at the concourse center. Sometimes you have to wait awhile for them to come get your bowling ball out of your lane. Also, the people working at the counter are nice and decent. Also, they have a good selection of different types of bowls. On Friday and Saturday though it is difficult to find the perfect ball for you because there are so many people. To start, I have been to Concourse many times so when I speak of service it's not from a one time experience. Concourse Bowling has a great advantage in that it's the only quality bowling in the area. They do a really good job of offering weekly specials to attract people throughout the week and not just weekends. The pricing is fair. I believe shoes are a little over priced for rentals. As for the price per game, prices vary through the week. Personally, I go rarely because the price tends to be slightly too high when you add up rental shoes, 2 games, and the price of a beer. The service is average. I have had people at the counter who don't exactly embody customer service but I also understand it's a bowling alley and expectations can't be super high. I have noticed there is a lack of people moving around the lanes, cleaning up, collecting glassware. I think it would be helpful if they offered if they could get you anything from the bar. Overall, it's a good time with the right group of friends and an IPA! read more

Was overcharged by more than double what the bill should have been for shoes, lane rental, and two games. I'm almost positive I ended up being charged for a group that wasn't associated with me and my family in the lane next to ours. Bumpers that keep your kids from rolling gutter balls every frame were broken and trying to get help was almost impossible. When help did arrive the guy was complete jerk. We had our daughter's 5th birthday party here. There was a little difficulty setting up the reservation because we initially tried to do it via email, but the details got ironed out after we talked to someone over the phone. Everything went very smoothly from beginning to end on party day. There were quite a few other children's parties going on at the same time, but each one was clearly marked with the celebrant's names. The staff assigned to our party stayed on top of our needs and kept checking to see if we needed anything, like more food and drinks, and also made sure that our trash was emptied out and cleared from our tables. We got a party package, which was good for 25 bowlers, pizza and drinks for the kids, arcade tokens, and a keepsake bowling pin for our daughter. The final bill was actually very reasonable after adding extra pizza and drinks for all the parents who came. Everyone got enough to eat and fun was had by all. This place underwent a renovation in the last few years, as I remember coming here years ago when it was not as nice as it is now. Plenty of parking all around the building, attentive and courteous staff, clean and modern facilities. However when i see 6 fully patched Vago motorcycle outlaw bikers inside flying their colors with a probation standing away from the table like a look out. Well thats the time for me and my family to leave because its not safe. The security outside is not armed and the security inside with a gun belt and empty holster is asking for trouble. First time going and we were impressed, large facility and plenty of parking. Staff was very friendly and helpful, bar was great and fast service. We were a party of 16 and made reservations the day before and we were accommodated with no problem. An awesome feature is the red velvet curtains that give you privacy if you want and makes a great background for pictures. The only drawback we had was the super long wait for the food we ordered, it was good but took long and they don't sell pitchers of soft drinks or beer. Horrible customer service and worse experience ever...last Friday night. I had planned to a great family night at your bowling alley (our first time here, and our last). As a busy working mother, I decided to skip cooking dinner and enjoy the night with my family, by bringing them for a stress free bowling game and pizza. We arrived early to beat some of the crowd, even invited my kids cousins and grandparents to have some fun, we were a total party of 10 but only 8 players due to grandparents age and limit on players. We got lane #29, as soon as we got there, we placed a food order since I had a 5 starving kids and a couple of older folks with me. Everything was fine and we started to bowl, then another party was place next to us on #30; it was a bit over swarming. I did not make sense to me why the 2nd party would be place next to a big party that already there, especially if there were other EMPTY lanes but somehow we made it work. In between all this, I tried to get everyone's name into the board, which was a bit of a mission in itself because the program could be confusing. In addition, I believe my rental time already started running. I looked for someone to help me program, but there were no associates around, by the time I got a hold of someone to come help me I had lost some time. Another thing was the lighter balls which were nowhere to be seen, we went up and down the entire alley looking for them, finally someone mentioned the front desk had them...but we were there to have a good time and we would make things work one way or another, as our food started to come out another issue arose. It so happens that ONE of our pizzas was accidentally drop by your personnel and we only got part of our order. Another pizza was supposed to be made but the 2nd pizza never came, my husband had to go the counter and ask for it, it seems they had forgotten to put in the replacement pizza in the oven. And staff claimed they would get on it, I then asked for a manager since this was just too much due to my hungry kids and the time I ended up buying them some ice cream from the vending machine, then a Manager by the name of Marvin came to deliver the 2nd pizza and asked how he can help. Well as I started to explain myself and express my feelings to him on the issue with the pizza, he interrupted and very selfish just asked, "So do you want a refund for it?" I told him that was not necessarily my intention but to explain to him the situation, he again interrupted and asked the something this time as I am starting to feel with no other option and maybe seeing he might had been in a rush I just answered "yes". Then he proceeds to wanting to take the pizza with him, as I stopped him and explained I still wanted the pizza, so then very rudely of him he just leaves it and walked away. He never tried to apologize or even hear the actual problem; he was very insensitive and indifferent to the situation and my concern. It almost seemed, as he was not the manager, therefore, I headed to the front desk to ensure of his name and see if I had spoken to the right person. To top things off as we ended the night and got ready to leave I cross path with Marvin, who gave me a very disrespectful smirk in a derision or mockery kind of way. there is no customer service what so ever. This was very disappointing; since I was not asking for any freebies, I was there with my family for a nice, enjoyable time, which turned out to be a disappointing night. All this would had been different if staff would be a bit more emphatic and sensible to your customers, especially a manager. Since the matter was that the staff, who drop the pizza and not follow thru correctly. Is a simple matter of respect and sensitivity for those that keep your business running! read more

Compared to 300 in Anaheim and Lucky Strike in Orange, I tend to favor the Concourse Bowling Center. My co-workers and I recently attended a Junior Achievement Fund Raiser Bowl-A-Thon at this location and we had a really good time. Here's the 411 on the reasons why. @ Ample number of lanes with black lights, giving it that neon fluorescent look. @ Kingpin's Sports Bar located inside. Cheap drinks and plenty of room to chill. @ Pool Table near the bar area with numerous TV's playing sporting events. @ Snack Bar that sells some bombass thin crust pizza. We ordered 2 large pizzas and they were gone faster than you can throw a turkey. The only downside were the rental shoes and bowling balls, but unless you're in a bowling league or an avid player, most people don't mind these things because they'll have a pair or ball of their own. The Concourse Bowling Center doesn't compare to the size and cleanliness of 300 and Lucky Strike, but it does the job at fair prices. It's large enough to accomodate a large group of people but small enough for a private party. Rating - 3.5 stars I really don't need to visit a luxurious bowling alley or pay ridiculous prices to have fun. I'd rather spend my hard earned money where it really counts. Say what??? read more

It looks like this: X X X X X X then I got a spare 8/ then another X at this point my score was 198....I was getting nervous...I was so close to my dream of 200! and so I choked. (seems like on both my high scores I choked at the end...I got to get mentally stronger) frame 9 9 - frame 10 7 2 total score 225!!! I love this place...it's provided me my previous high of 182 and now my new high of 225. It was on Lane 23 :P Ok it wasn't really a review but it's ok.... I have discovered a suburban wasteland and lived to tell about it. This bowling alley is hidden deep in an industrial park and if it were not for the one lit sign on the main street you would easliy search for hours to find this place. Come to bowl at 7pm and you will find familes and their legions of little spawn otherwise known as 'children' congregating about the bowling alley, screaming, laughing, frolicing and generally being a nuisance. Eventually adolescent spwn take over the alley as the night goes on. If you arrive a little later, about 9pm the scene is completely different. There a number of people enjoying a drink in the lounge area. The DJ is just getting started. He's playing the latest in hip-hop, rap or even a little 80's music. The lights are dimmed and black lights over the lanes make everything glow. Flashing disco lights light up the alleys like an airport landing strip at night. I believe this what the locals referred to as 'cosmic bowling'. Soon it dawned on me that these poor lost souls have no where else to go. This may be the only souce of nightlife in the immiedate area. These sad suburbanites are trapped behind the orange curtain and are destined to live out the rest of thier years in rented shoes. As the night went on and my bowling score dropped lower and lower with each frame I became home sick. I longed for my homeland, the LBC. I put my own shoes on and went home. read more

I WANT to give this place five stars. But I just can't do it. This is a bowler's bowling alley. No question about it, you're among friends here. The staff is friendly and helpful, there is plentiful room to sit and have a drink if you are so inclined, and the setup on the lanes is great. GREAT. I love the red couch-like seating, I love the little nooks under the seats to put your shoes in, I love the extra ball storage under the ball return. Really, spot on. The problem for me starts when you get to the lanes themselves. I have it on good authority that these are the only lanes of any bowling alley in SoCal that are still made of real wood, not plastic that looks like wood. I believe that, because it looks like the lane surfaces have not been replaced in fifty years. You can see the divots where thousands of bowlers screwed up and dropped their balls over the years. I can put together a decent game at Concourse, but I never feel comfortable and I never feel consistent. If I bowled here more often, I probably would. And the pinsetters were all screwed up the last time I went. It would occasionally drop a pin and then on the next frame set only nine. Then, it got hung up, and when it was fixed it dropped all the pins and gave my opponent a strike on the tenth frame! Now, this was not a league game, and not to sound like a braggart but I was winning handily (my opponent claimed I was "doing her nasty" hehehe) so I didn't really care, but if it was a serious game, that would have been a serious issue. Look, if you like to bowl, check it out. You'll appreciate it. But it ain't perfect. And if you're not a serious bowler, and you go here (or anywhere else), please use lane etiquette. Pretty nondescript on the outside, but surprisingly nice on the inside. This bowling center can be pretty easy to miss - there is signage on the main street but you have to drive towards the back to get here. Pretty quiet on a Thursday afternoon. It was nice to see the upholstered benches at each lane as opposed to the hard, uncomfortable seats at most other bowling alleys. The benches even have shelves underneath to store your shoes. Context: Reserved for a party of about 30 people for Cosmic Bowling on a Friday night, from 10 pm to 1 am for my birthday! Ended up booking a VIP Cosmic Suite Pre-planning: I emailed Stephen who's in charge of Adult Parties/Corporate parties and he was great! Super responsive to emails, answered all my questions and gave me recommendations of the cheapest prices Price: For a VIP cosmic suite I paid $400 flat, for 32 bowlers including shoes so that comes out to be $15 per person for three hours of bowling! Not bad at all! Bowling: This place is awesome and feels kind of like a club/lounge but is super chill and fun for Cosmic bowling! There's really good music, projectors, and the full bar is totally awesome! Everything is organized well like the bowling balls, and the shoes feel brand new. Cosmic Suite: The cosmic suite was the best part! It was closed off with a red curtain which was pretty chill/private. Lots of extra tables and chairs for people to chill and spacious! I had a groupon for 1 1/2 hours of bowling + shoes for 4 people. We had to come before 8pm. We called at 6 to ask if there were lane availability and they said if we come before 8, it will be no problem. We make the drive to Anaheim and get there around 7:30 (it didn't take us an hour and a half to get there.. we didn't leave until 7). He tells us there's at least an hour wait and by the time they call our name it'd be after 8! =O!! WAAAH? We mentioned we called and they said as long as we showed up before 8 it would be nooo problem!!! He said "oh you called beforehand? Sure I'll put you on the waitlist then" "so, we can still use the groupon then even though it after 8?" "yes" We kept thinking, well it's 7:30, if we play at 8:30 we don't be done until 10 and we'll be hungry.. so we ask them if we could eat and then come back. He looks at the list and said yes, because it's actually a 2 hour wait -___-" We went to go eat and at 9:30pm (while still in the restaurant) we called to see if they called my name yet. Yes they have. Did we just lose our place?? They said they'd put me back on the list... It's now definitely after 8pm and we didn't get back to Concourse until 10pm and they let us use the groupon!! =D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 10pm, there's a bouncer at the door and the place is DARK with a live DJ and music videos. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN! No wonder they don't let groupon-ers play after 10pm. Because if you had to use it before 8pm, you'd finish playing by 9:30pm and you'd be out before 10pm. However, we were lucky that they let us use it at 10:15pm and we got to enjoy the COSMIC ambiance. Everything ended up working out for us and we had a BLAST! This review is for the birthday parties. We had our son's 5th birthday party here and it was about as easy as it gets. They took care of everything. Our day of party coordinator even brought each of our guests their bowling shoes. They had bowling ramps and gutters for the kids, which meant there were no gutter balls. :) The pizza was surprisingly good for a bowling alley. We actually finished it all. In total we spent $250 for 12 kids plus 2 additional pizzas for the adults. Totally worth it. Wouldn't mind if our son wanted that again for next year! My only minor complaint is that it's hard to find the place. It's set way back off the street down an alley. Their sign on the street is small--hard to see. So keep a look out. read more

Went here a while back during one of their cosmic bowling nights. Bleh i hate cosmic bowling. The facility looked nice and new and all which is why i decided to check it out. Went to the front desk and the guy there wasnt very helpful at all, i did get my lane though so i cant complain too much. So yeah i get up to the lane and immediately notice how low the ceiling is in the lane area. That was an extremely strange feeling and took a while to get used to. The scoring machines and stuff were all new tech stuff and the animations that come up are pretty entertaining. So i throw my ball down the lane and i first thing that hit me is that i have no idea how my ball is spinning. it was way too dark. If you can spin/hook the ball, you know that this is extremely distracting. Other than that, the place is decent, i dont plan on going back though. I prefer the old school places that are serious about bowling...yeah i know...im a dork. btw i run a shoe store too... STOP CALLING ME AL BUNDY!!! read more
