Concrete Connection was one of several contractors that bid for the project. I hired Concrete Connection to replace my aging and ugly asphalt driveway with concrete and to also pour a slab in front of part of my house. I am very happy with the end product. The owner of Concrete Connection and their crew are very efficient, which enables them to do fast but thorough work. They are also highly skilled and courteous professionals, and they even tidy up the job site, as much as possible, at the end of the work day. I think the quality of their work is superb. On the day they poured the concrete it was pretty cool watching the team of pros working seamlessly and efficiently. I contracted with Concrete Connection for a patio slab demo and pour, retaining wall replacement, and gravel work. I was about to bite the bullet with another company after three estimates, but decided to get one more estimate and I am so glad I did. I called Susanna and she sent Roger out on the same day to take measurements. It did take several follow-up calls on my end to get the actual estimate, but once I received the estimate I was pleasantly surprised at how it compared to the other 3 contractors I had received quotes from. We were actually able to have them do a slightly larger job and still stay under our budget. Roger is a genuinely good guy and an expert who takes pride in his work. Anything you want addressed, he is happy to do it. He has go-to guys to whom he subs out some labor (trenching, block laying, and debris removal), and they also do good work. I really hope Roger and his son are still with the company in a couple years when we're ready to have some more work done. It was true in my experience that it took some follow-up to get the estimates and then to get them out to start the job. Once they started, someone was there almost every day for two weeks working on something or other. They don't take any money until they show up on the jobsite ready to work, so there is no holding a deposit hostage. My one recommendation would be to have someone do a full walkthrough of the project, including what landscaping will be affected and how to minimize the damage. Roger had to tear up some of the groundcover shrubs in the front of the house to get his skid loader through the side gate; this worked in our favor because we wanted to widen the path anyway. The skid loader tore up our weed patch of a yard, which I had planned to till up and reseed in the fall, so I just took on that project a little early. For someone who was NOT planning to revamp or replant their yard, this could have been a major inconvenience. read more

Susanna and Shy set the bar for what ALL CONTRACTORS need to be like. They truly care about their customers and the work that they are doing. Our concrete flooring was much lower after removing the laminate and getting sanded down to remove the glue. I had bids from different contractors and not one of them ever suggested to do a concrete overlay until Shy came to do my quote! When the guys came in to put in the concrete, they worked THE ENTIRE TIME that they were at my house. I don't think they even took breaks. I was really impressed, they were not playing around, they were trying to get it done, even working late hours. Then Susanna, Shy and Love came to finish up. Susanna really is talented at getting the color that you want. I even texted her a day after she stained to tell her I wasn't 100 percent on the warm tones and wanted it cooler toned. She came the next day to add a cooler tone of grey and it came out perfect! Shy and Love came to put the wax down and they were extremely detailed, making sure they got every inch of the house covered. I can't sing their praises enough. Their pricing is fair, their communication throughout the process is great and their work is impeccable!!! They also take Apple Pay, which is so nice for those of us who don't use checks. I debated whether I should right this review or not. I decided to write it because it's been around a year since Concrete Connection's work on my house and I am still dealing with the same problems. I had Concrete Connection pour a large patio in my backyard. Their actual concrete work was done very well, but everything else they touched was a disaster. First the small item. They had to remove my side gate door to drive their equipment into the back yard. They placed the side gate door back on after they were done. The problem is that they attached it in a way that caused it to drag on the ground when I opened it. Over time this got to the point that I could not use it. I removed and reattached the door correctly last weekend. It was simple enough, but it was something I should not need to do. Now on to the very big problem. In order to pour the concrete patio, Concrete connection had to reroute the piping and valves for a few sprinkler heads in my lawn. They also had to remove the sprinkler heads during the work. I was told that the man who was going to do the sprinkler work was an expert. Nothing could have been further from the truth. First he repositions the sprinkler controller and valves right up against the house in a way that they are leaning towards and pushing into the house's wall. I was amazed that this guy thought it was OK to do that... I had him move the valves and controllers so that there was some separation from the wall. After the concrete was poured, he added the sprinkler heads back along the line of concrete and grass but he offset them 2 feet away from the concrete. Meaning that 2 feet of grass along the length of the concrete would not be watered at all. When I complained about this he came bout out and adjusted the sprinkler tips so that they water back to the concrete. He did this while I was away at work. When I saw this, I called explained that I wasn't about to waste water by spraying a large part of the concrete just because they didn't position the sprinklers correctly. Finally they come back out again and repositioned the sprinklers to line up against the concrete. But it was done in a way that the sprinklers were angled down into the grass. So, when the sprinklers turned on, they would just spray down a few inches and almost all of the grass didn't get water. Everytime this guy came back out to fix what he had done wrong he acted like nothing was wrong. And everytime he came back, he screwed up something else. Now it's been about a year. Last summer half of my lawn died. I just realized that it was because Concrete Connection installed a wrong solenoid for one of the sprinkler valves after they moved the valve. So, only half the lawn had been watered throughout the whole summer. I didn't realize this earlier because I had my watering schedule for early in the morning before I woke up, and the sprinklers worked fine when I turned the valve manually. But, when running on their controlled schedule, only half of the sprinklers turned on because they installed the wrong solenoid after moving the controller and valve. The people at Concrete Connection were very friendly to work with and they did a good job with the concrete. However, the terrible job they did on my sprinklers has left me having to do over a year worth of work to fix what they screwed up. All of this cost me extra money. If they do not know anything about sprinklers, they should be upfront with customers about it. Instead they destroyed my lawn and left me with a ton of work and expenses. I'm still working with them on a large Restaurant renovation/buildout, but so far, I've been very impressed. They have made themselves available any time I've needed, and of all of the many concrete companies I had considered for the project; not only were their prices competitive, but they felt the most educated and capable of doing the job. While there may have been some expedience issues in receiving quotes initially, they have stepped up their game, and my only complaint is that I didn't come across them sooner! Really fantastic. We were in the final week of completing a major remodel on our house - full panic mode since move-in date was set and the house was still not close to complete. We needed the bottom floor interior concrete stained & sealed, but had almost no window in which to do the work. I put in a quote request on Friday, Suzanne was out on site a few hours later, gave a bid that evening, and was back again with her crew first thing in the morning Saturday, finishing up late that night so it could cure on Sunday and not be damaged by the other contractors coming in Monday morning. We hired Concrete Connections to pour an RV Pad and Driveway. Susanna was meticulous with how it was designed and finished. This is such a hard review to write because initially I thought they were going to-be the answers to my prayers. I needed someone to do concrete countertops in my kitchen. I asked a couple questions and they got back to me very quick. Even sent out someone to give us a quote a couple days later. That's where it all went wrong. I feel like the girl giving the quote was either not familiar with the process or new to it. She was at my house for a total of 10 minutes. She told us we would have a quote by the end of the day. I asked one more question and on her way out we thanked her and she replied with a thank you and said I will have a quote to you no later than tomorrow night. Weird!? You just said the same night but what's a day ? Right!? And she was nice. Two days later still waiting on the quote so I sent her a message asking when we would receive it?
