On May 1,2023 I closed on my condo and on May 13th it flooded. I have never filed a homeowners insurance claim and had absolutely no idea how any of this situation was going to be resolved. Fast forward one week after I have insurance approval and water remediation ( fans to dry property, mold removal) complete. The water remediation company suggested Exodus Renovation to me and gave me their contact information. I called and spoke with Haitham ( Estimator) We set up a time to meet at the property and discuss the renovation and my vision for my " new" condo from cabinets and counters to flooring and tile. At our meeting Haitham also broke down the complex process of working with insurance and how Exodus uses software to generate quotes that coincides with the software insurance companies use to make approvals and issuance of check seamless ( and getting my settlement check was indeed seamless.) After my meeting with Haitham I began making trips to home improvement and speciality stores to start pricing flooring, paint etc. Having an approved quote from Haitham and my insurance made the process easy to shop knowing what my budget was. I even met with the owner Miguel to select flooring, bathroom tile and bathroom hardware. He was able to offer his professional input on certain flooring types and his concerns with flooring type A vs Flooring type B etc. Once construction started I was pleased with how clean the jobs site was kept, the communication from Haitham and Miguel and the respect shown to my property. There was some delays due to materials and these delays were always communicated to me by Haitham and or Miguel. There were many times I had questions and or concerns and I was never left in the dark. Miguel or Haitham were always available to me within reasonable time frames and I appreciated that. My biggest advice to anyone looking for a contractor from what I learned is ask questions. At first i was nervous to come across as an annoying nagging client but was always encouraged to ask questions, share my concerns and say something if I wasn't happy with the outcome or any of the projects. Miguel and Haitham never made me feel like a nuisance and in turn im so satisfied with the final outcome of my condo. I would definitely recommend Exodus renovations to anyone needing a contractor. Miguel and the Exodus Property Restoration team handled our townhouse renovation, and it was a fantastic experience. Our townhouse was an old property that had been inhabited by renters for years, and it needed a full gutting.
