We had our entire pool deck Kool deck for about $5k, there were 11 holes in the concrete due to a removed security dense. These holes were to have been filled and covered before the Kool deck was applied. This wasn't done so we had to repeatedly call to have someone come out to fill the holes in. Finally they did and the job really looked poor. Then several months later one of the holes appeared and after looking at it realized the only thing they did was use red tape to cover the hole and paint it. They never filled it. We have called and texted Tim(who we placed order with) at least 7 times . He refuses to send anyone out to repair it even though we have a written two year guarantee. We will continue to pursue this legally. Be very cautious when dealing with this company or this Tim. read more

Don't use Concrete Texturing for concrete overlay. Had it done 3 times, because the sealer was all peeling off. Each time I had to pay for it (they blamed a poor sealer product, but wouldn't stand behind it). It started to peel off immediately after the 3 rd time and they told me they wouldn't take care of it. I'll never use them again, nor will I recommend them to anyone else. I suggest you find a more reputable company. read more

My wife and I had Tim come out to our house to get a quote to resurface and repaint the cool decking around our pool, and to pour a new concrete slab in an area of our backyard that had grass on it. Once we agreed to the work and price, Concrete Texturing came out within the week to begin the work. All work was completed within the time promised. The quality of the work is great, and our backyard pool area looks as good as it did 17 years ago when we first put in our pool. I even asked for some touch up paint, and Krystle had it dropped off at our house within 24 hours. Sadly we used this company to do a thin cut flagstone on our pool deck. Per their proposal/contract it states they have a 2 year warranty on their work. In the proposal it also stated they would put anti-skid sealant in the top coating on the cement overlay to avoid slipping on the deck surface. When all the work was done our tenant used the pool and when the water got on the pool deck it was like Ice the tenant said and he slipped and fell. We asked Tim Mathews the owner to go back out to fix the sealant or to re-apply a less slippery coat to remedy the slippery surface and he refused saying that the sealant was not included in the 2 year warranty! NOT BUYING HIS BS, Me being a licensed broker for over 20 years and with extensive litigation and legal knowledge, I reviewed his proposal and NOWHERE on his contract did it state that the sealant was excluded from his 2 year warranty. In fact there is NO DETAILED DESCRIPTION whatsoever in the language of what is included or excluded in his 2 year warranty! He tried to blame us for this mishap and charge us more money to re-apply the sealant when he didn't do the job right the first time with the anti-skid additive in the sealant. NOT! I am now going to report this company to the contractors board and we may need to file a claim in small claims to get reimbursed our money that we would have to spend to fix this issue. Inside my home, Concrete Texturing replaced my all my carpeted floors and some of the tiled areas. Outside they treated my patio and gave it a look similar to the colors I selected inside. I put Before and After photos. I was impressed with the reviews I read on Angie's list and after meeting with several venders I went with Concrete texturing. They offered the best price, my preferred dates, and had the kind of experience that made me feel confident. If you are considering having your floors treated in this way, I have some warnings. It's a very messy job. Concrete dust gets everywhere. I chose to move everything out of my home including the contents of all my kitchen cabinets. It was a pain to do so since it was like moving all over again. But in the end, I was glad because the concrete dust did infiltrate my kitchen cabinets. I hadn't been prepared for the fact that the carpet was at least an inch taller than my new floor. I thought I would have only "touch-ups" to deal with on my baseboards. The truth is that all the baseboards need to be repainted. I can see why some people asked me if I was removing my baseboards ahead of time. A couple of things went wrong. For example, because the weather was so cold in early December, the sealant didn't dry as evenly as expected. Also, a new worker mishandled my stove and the handle broke. When everything goes right, that's great. But problems do happen in an undertaking of this magnitude. It's how the business fixes the problems that shows the true nature of the company doing the work. Regarding the uneven sealant, Concrete Texturing offered to put on an extra layer of sealant. This meant that the job took 3 days longer but I think it was the right decision and I know that whoever is living in this house decades from now will be glad the job was done properly. Concrete Texturing also took care of my stove problem to my satisfaction. One last word to the wise. The odor of the sealant is toxic. It needs lots of airing before the smell goes away. In other words, just because the floor is dry enough to move your furniture back into the room doesn't mean that the odor has dissipated. read more

A few months back we had a gazebos built in the front yard and the cement has chipped and cracked all over the place, a few guys came out and told us we would need to tear out the cement and start all over. I did not like that idea so I call CT Vegas and talked to Tim over the phone. I liked what he was telling me so asked him to come out and see what he could do for me. I am going to try to make the long story short, after the work was completed, I started to noticed that we have white bubble showing on the floor (where our Van tire rest on where parked) I called Tim and he came to look at it, he had his people come back and took care of it, they came back with an attitude now after 6 month it looked like it came back again. I have had the garage floor epoxy done at our two previous home (done by others) and never saw this before. In addition, there were a lot of areas missed and they did not used Poly on the stem walls at first, with my complaint, they came back and took care of the wall stem, I will give them that. Their salesman Matthew didn't talk to me nice, so be careful with him as well. read more

We had Tim come out to give us a bid to resurface and stain our driveway and garage floors. He gave a very fair price, and it was certainly less expensive than a couple of the other large companies providing this service. Mark was the foreman on the job and he listened to us concerning the timing of the work, making adjustments we preferred, and made sure the work was done properly. From start to finish Dino and his crew did a great job. They hand grinded off the existing stamped concrete on our entire patio and all the way around our pool. They added some Cool Deck texture on top and hand rolled two coats of color. Before when we stepped out of our pool it was dangerously slippery and very hot on our feet. Now with The Cool Deck it is much cooler and we get all the traction we need. We just had some concrete work done by Concrete Texturing and happy to say my wife and I are more than pleased with the work.. Our stamped concrete in our courtyard was stripped and re-sealed with a polyurethane sealant, 2 car and golf cart garages had epoxy chips applied followed by polyurethane sealant and re-painting of our driveway and patio followed by polyurethane sealant with anti-skid. Explanation of the job by Tim Matthews, the owner was clear. Communication and follow-up with him and Matt was easy and on time. The work of the crew led by Juan was exemplary. They took care of the smallest details and made sure my wife and I were satisfied with their work which we were. Let me first say that there were no issues with the installation of epoxy flooring for our garage. The only reason for the one star deduction is that I believe there is always room for improvement and the communications could have been better. Aside from the customary language barrier in today's society, there could have been better communications in regard to the initial start time and arrival time on the second day. That said, we are very pleased with the finished product. Tim, Mathew and the installation crew were very professional and courteous. There were no surprises. The final cost was as stated in the estimate and I was pleased to learn that the workmanship and materials are guaranteed for five (5) years. I too had my floors done by Concrete Texturing. I choose them because I had seen they had the BBB accreditation on their site. My nightmare began in October of 2013. We met with the owner Tim and discussed what we wanted our floors to look like, that was the only time Tim came to our home. Matthew was our next contact person on the job,( he is a very kind man). Due to our schedules we discussed having the floors done on the weekend, which we were told would only take 3 days for completion. Needless to say we were 3 weeks into the project and my home a complete mess. The texture we discussed with Tim was no longer an option, we were talked out of what we wanted, ( I truly believe they couldn't do what we wanted). We were told after 12 hours the floors would be OK to walk from our garage door to my upstairs steps (2 feet if that),WRONG.... The floors marked up so bad they had to come and redo them, I have to put a throw rug to cover the ugly mess. The top coat finish they applied was splotchy, that had to be redone as well. When Matthew came back to review the progress I had written a list of problems I had found. They had over sprayed and didn't cover and my new granite countertops, and also over sprayed my kitchen cabinets about 1-1/2feet up. Matthew cleaned the counters himself with a razor blade. My walls were all marked up and dirty, they put a spot on my new $5,000 front door, the front of my refrigerator had a ding on the front door, which I was told they could do nothing about ( had to buy a new one). I contacted Matthew a few weeks later to ask why my floors look smudgy and what I could do to make it shine again, he said someone would be by to look at the floors, no one ever came...If you are considering cement flooring RUN very far from this company, needless to say this option isn't cheap for flooring find a qualified company to do your work do not be mislead by what you see on a web page. First time customer. Had them repair and repaint my cool deck around the pool. Satisfied with the work performed. Matt provided a realistic cost estimate and answered all questions. Scheduled the job when we wanted and finished the job in 2 days with good weather. Comments - In these days and times customers should be able to see some real life pool deck picture examples of the Xcel topcoat colors available online either from the manufacturer or Coastal Texturing. The color swatches online and in printed material have alot of variation. At a minimum use the texture squares Matt has with him. We went from white deck to "Sonoran Stone" and were fortunate to have the workers showing us that color in a dryed paint pail on their truck by chance to confirm our choice but it was lighter than expected. - Not sure about lateral communications between team members sometimes. Workers showed up at front of house bright and early on day 1 despite my telling them the day prior several times that the gate accessing the deck was on the next street down. -Knockdown texturing density on panels rennovated was not as dense as existing adjacent panels and is noticeable. Could have been closer IMO Would use them again for cool deck repair. read more

I entered into a contract with Tim to have my courtyard's Kool Deck recolored and sealed. Well apparently there was no sealant applied and the paint has since been marred by countless footprints. Tim claims that I caused the damage and does not feel responsible for his company's inadequate work. I filed a complaint with the BBB and that has gone nowhere. Tim just ignores it. Tim Mathews met with us on advance and was very thorough and professional. My main concerns in doing the work was quality of product and color match of flagstone overlay with existing flagstone. Juan was onsite superintendent and performed high quality work. He spent the time to perform prep and work in high workmanship quality. He was approachable and responsive. They worked with us to ensure we were home when mixing color. Tim personally came out to mix the color for the flagstone to ensure good match and juan did a great job of sponging on the color. Just had my garage floor done. This is not the first home where I had my garage done. I had a home done in Mesa Az and that company did a great job. I never had to have them come back. I wish I could say the same with this company. I could not believe how rough the 1 foot concrete walls were when they finished. I could grate a block of cheese easily with it. I called them and expressed my concern. They did come back this morning and sand the wall and coat it with urethane but it still needs one more coat to make it smooth like the floor. They had excuses why it was rougher. I called them and expressed my disappointment thinking they would come back and do one more coat at no charge. Not the case, they are now charging me $200 more for another coat on the wall. They said it needs to be done within 24 hours of the previous coat. I have no choice. I paid $3,000 for a poor job and $200 more to get the walls done right. read more

I just had my garage floor re-finished by Concrete Texturing and am pleased with the product of their work. They had to remove the existing epoxy and their end product was very nice. Their epoxy job had a very nice gloss and the price was competitive. The crew and owner where professional and polite. The only con (otherwise I would have given 5 stars) is that there a delay in removing some concrete they had pulled out of my yard. I got to know this company based on the research i did with the BBB website and the recommendation of my friend who had them do their patio and garage floor ( which were beautifully done!). So i went ahead and Tim the owner came and did the quote and we were set....The problem though happen with his workers...Mark his field supervisor gave his team to begin with the wrong address so they ended up 20 mins late on the day they were suppose to start working.. But Scott who did the first day of work seems to be very good...then at the end of that day, Scoot informed me that Mark apparently got upset that he started working without asking me for the payment to which I told him that I already sent in the first half of the payment to Tim in the mail & that check was even deducted to my bank account already earlier that week. The following day, Scott was gone & Mark came & finish the job.... Mark again asked me for the payment & i told him about the same thing. At around 1 pm, he was done and i gave him the remaining balance. Now, 2 days later when my garage was finally dry & i can step on it, i notice spots which were not coated. Likewise, the coating seems to be uneven ( some were very thin while other areas of my garage were heavily coated).... And hence comes the 2 star review.... I called Tim that day and since it was a sunday, left a message on his answering machine. The next day, after not hearing from him, i called back again and his costumer services was beyond non-existent! He was brushing me off and told me to call Mark instead...When i was saying something, he cut me off saying he was in a meeting and i need to call Mark....totally rude! In the end, Mark did came back do re-do his job and in fairness to him, he did it better this time but apparently when i mentioned this to my friends, they had a person named Joe who did the work for them.... So, all in all, it really depends who comes in to do the work and god forbid, you have to call Tim back with the problem....he just does not want to deal with it correctly. He needs to hire someone who can answer those calls in a more professional manner because the way he brushed me off to just call Mark back with the problem was beyond rude and unprofessional!!! Sometimes, it is not the work that can give you a better review but the attitude of the person answering your call in the other line when problem arises... I did get a 5 year warranty for their work which i don't know if i will ask them to re-coat my garage if this is the same service and attitude i will get the next time! read more
