Condado is a very casual, quick-serve taco-focused restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. Overall, it is not your average Taco Bell and equally not authentic. Service was attentive, and the food arrived in a reasonable time. They have a few interesting Tacos that make it unique, like spicy tortilla shells and jack fruit options, all served individually in foil wrap. They also serve build-your-bowls similar to Chipotle or a custom nachos plate. It's a good place for a casual night out with friends, but it's a la carte menu and can add up quickly, especially with cocktails. read more

This was my first experience with Condado and it seems the overall concept is to blur the lines between authentic Mexican tacos and mainstream Americanized tacos. My experience was equal parts new wave American restaurants that strive to create authentic Mexican dishes (e.g. Mazunte), casual dining Tex-Mex (e.g. Don Pablo's and its successors), and Taco Bell. The latter might raise some eyebrows, but it's difficult to avoid the Taco Bell comparison when hard shell corn tortillas are involved, especially when they're nested inside a soft flour tortilla. Based on my rating it's obvious that I think the combination works and, yes, I'll definitely be eating at Condado again. It's worth noting that I had them delivered and, even though the order was ready and delivered super fast, it was already lukewarm when I started eating and the second half of my meal was downright cold. This isn't a complaint because it couldn't have been delivered any faster and everything was well-packaged to retain heat, I only mean to point out that it was still very tasty despite the temperature issue. As far as what I ordered, I went with a Bud Box (two tacos w/ chips & queso) that included The Heater (steak) and Sweet Heat (brisket) tacos. I also tacked on the Bubba Kush (pulled pork) taco for some variety and because I heard Condado's tacos are on the small side and figured I'd need a third taco for a complete meal. The tacos I got were actually not small at all and instead were full-sized Tex-Mex tacos opposed to the smaller authentic variant that often come in trios or pairs at your mom and pop taqueria. The Bud Box alone would have been a more than sufficient meal and this is coming from someone who has a pretty deep stomach. After three tacos and chips and queso I was stuffed and disappointed in myself for powering through such a big meal. The Sweet Heat was probably the best of the bunch even though the The Heater sounded better on paper. I'm interested to try them again except fresh out of the kitchen instead. The Heater was definitely good though and the Bubba Kush was right there in the running. All three had what were clearly quality ingredients. With that said, the tacos are a bit on the pricey side as they more or less range from $5 to $6 which seems like a buck or two over-priced even given their size. The queso was impressively good and I usually find queso to be fairly underwhelming. The tortilla chips were so-so though. They looked great but they were so greasy that they left an oil slick in the bottom of the box. Plus they were also kind of... I'm not sure if stiff or chewy is the right word. Though others report that their tortilla chips are excellent. I have to wonder if they were over fried and/or not properly drained and/or stale. In any event, it wasn't a huge deal because it's all about the tacos and so the chips and dip were pretty secondary to me. In the end it wasn't a perfect meal, but it was quite good and I look forward to trying the other tacos and especially giving the Build Your Own Taco portion of the menu a shot too. read more

I love Condado Tacos and have visited all three Cincy locations. My FAVORITE by far IS OAKLEY (most outstanding staff, service, drinks and food. I just wish it was bigger.) The Mason location which is very new and less than 10min from home could use improvement. More training is needed from the front of the house to the back of the house. Drinks don't taste the same and neither does the food. I would know because I only eat the same 3 tacos suggestions and guacamole. The issue that stood out most for me is a staff member's unwillingness to just say "I don't know" rather than lie, maybe because it's one of my pet peeves. As I said, I eat Condado's a LOT! Often times I forget my rewards card but this time I didn't. I handed it to my server to add points and she says "your gift card isn't working" so I tell her it's a rewards card. She responds with "oh, we don't have rewards accounts" and I of course point at the card like, well you have one in your hand with the logo on it LOL (I wasn't rude at all but in hindsight I should've gotten aggressive about it. I missed out on $40 worth of points before tax) she continues on about how there is no rewards and I suggest she ask someone else for help. So she goes to speak to management about it. Or at least she says she did, when she comes back to the table she says "Sorry I just found out about the rewards but apparently they're not teaching us how to use it (on the toast system) because we're getting rid of rewards altogether." W/e I paid my tab, tipped and left. I literally went to the Downtown location the following week and guess what? That server lied, and maybe the manager did too. I took my daughter to this location for dinner on a Monday evening. It was very busy and we waited 10-15 minutes for a table. The restaurant was loud due to all the people and open concept. The waitress who helped us was very nice and attentive but the food was just okay. We ordered guacamole appetizer and we both agreed we make better guacamole at home, although the chips were tasty and fresh. I got a salad bowl with black beans and my daughter got hard shell tacos with portobello mushrooms. I was very pleased with all the vegan protein options and toppings, but overall the food was just okay. We can do better taco nights at home. read more

We've been disappointed at Condado for the last time. Ordered a variety of items, and ALL were very disappointing. . . . various tacos, avocado dip, chips, etc. . . . . all were either poor or marginal. And how hard would it be to put the name of each taco on the wrapper of each taco when there are VARIOUS tacos so we don't have to open every one and guess which one it is, even after opening it?!?! There are 67 eating establishments in walking distance, and most of them are significantly better than Condado. We won't be back. read more

The staff was very nice. I ordered two Bud Boxes, and although there's nothing that I saw that limits it to regular queso, that's the rule. Even so, they gave me what I asked for. That said, when I got home, the box was completely wrong, and to me, inedible. I ordered a box with two traditional tacos with chorizo and a box with tacos for my wife. Instead, they just duplicated the box for my wife, and none of that was what I wanted. The food seems good, but double check your order before you leave - don't assume it's correct! First time I've tried one of the Condado locations. I had the margarita flight. It was very good and a nice mix to compliment the tacos we tried. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the tacos. Unlike some of the other taco bars, two is probably enough, and three definitely is. Unique flavors and some twists I haven't seen before. Service was friendly and on point. I believe bartender used Grand Classico instead. I like the whiney review about sitting too close. Don't go if you don't like it genius. Yeah, I'm sure there was dust on them. I've been three times in a month. We've always sat outside, with the tables being a decent distance apart. The people you're with? Yeah, you're on top of each other, ass to elbows. There are some great flavors combined in the "recommended" tacos. I've also had the build your own tacos and the nachos are amazing. I recommend all the sauces. I suggest to go off tacos on the menu before you build your own to really get a good idea of menu. I also definitely recommend getting the guacamole and salsa - amazing! I've been to Condado in Oakley, Columbus and now Mason. The good news is that the restaurant and food is consistent from location to location. The downside is that the food is mediocre. It is easy to get lost in their menu and variety of options on all of their tacos. The problem I have is that I simply think it's too much. Some of the most highly rated food in the world has minimal ingredients and relies on the quality of the product. I think they are trying too hard to be gourmet and in the end the flavors just don't mesh in many cases. 5 stars on the decor and design of their restaurants. 1 star on the online ordering but maybe that's just growing pains due to their recent opening. read more

It's like a glorified chipotle. Loud with metal chairs and the food was so so. There wasn't an empty table so people appeared to enjoy themselves but the quality of the food was eh. The Mexican Corn which shows as a fav on the menu was not my favorite or that of my husband. One bite had us scowling. I wasn't sure if the sauce was overpowering it just like it did the cali taco I got. The sauce was just way too much for me. They were kind and took it off the bill. My family finally had a chance to try Condado Tacos this past Tuesday. Although I gave them a "4" rating, I would likely give a 3.5-3.75 if those points were possible. We ordered online and it was the first time I had ever experienced anything with Condado, so maybe in-person its a much easier menu/ordering process to navigate. We order from Chipotle about once every 3 weeks, so I feel like that's a fair comparison and Condado is just much harder to order. There are certain parts where there are soo many options and others where the item is an "extra," but its generally assumed to be part of the meal (rice, for example.) I placed the order and my wife picked it up. Everything was set and ready to go for her when she arrived. Brought it home and... the food is SO good. My wife ordered one of their already designed tacos and couldn't believe how good it was. My kids loved their tacos from the kids menu. I had designed my own taco before I saw the pre-made versions, but mine was also very good. In addition, we included a bag of tortilla chips along with 3 sauces--the chips were enough for 8+ people and were overwhelming for our family of 4. Another drawback to the online experience was how the tacos are presented. Since we had never visited before, we had no idea how big the tacos were. From Chipotle, my wife and I typically order 2 tacos a piece, but the image from Condado's site showed their tacos to be like mini burritos, but much bigger than a traditional Chipotle taco--they were the same size though. That might be on us, we've obviously ordered a Big Mac from McD's before and know what it looks like on their menu vs. what we receive. Last thing, price was a bit high--nearly double Chipotle. The food and # of available ingredients are higher quality I believe, but not sure to that effect for less food also. If we both had our traditional two tacos, it would ~easily~ be double. We'll definitely go back, but not sure we'd pass up Chipotle or Chilango instead on any kind of regular basis. read more

I can honestly say, Condado had to grow on me. The first time I went I was not a fan. However, the more I went back or got invited to things at Condado I began to like them more. Now, I'm a fan! I came to this location with my family to sit on the outdoor patio to have margs, chips & dip, and tacos. Come for the drinks and stay for the tacos. I'm a creature of habit so I usually always get the same thing. I start with one of their Flavored Margaritas usually Strawberry or White Peach and chips and dip. It is a $1 more to add a flavor but hey I like flavor so I add the extra dollar. The chips and dips are always so good. We usually do the trio which is a salsa dip, cheese dip and one other dip. This time we got a corn dip, are go-to Roja dip, and Gauc. All were delicious! This particular day I wasn't super hungry so I only got one taco with rice and their bacon refried beans. I like the beans for the flavor and kick they have. They are also well seasoned. My favorite tacos from here are Lucy's Fire, Plain Jane, Blue Dream and Cali Green. Depending on my mood, I rotate between the four. Two are chicken tacos and the other two are beef. No, I never eat four tacos in one sitting. I usually get 1-2 tacos in one visit. The tacos are a nice size and can be filling. Overall, I really enjoy Condado Taco. read more

The patio and atmosphere is really nice and open! We visited on a beautiful day and sat outside and felt very comfortable. They strictly enforced masks and keeping distanced, which I definitely appreciated. Two of us split a chip & dip trio, it was fun to pick 3 to try, and each had 2 tacos which was plenty to eat without having leftovers or being overly full. They have a great margarita menu and even good mocktail offerings. Definitely will visit again as the food was delicious and fresh and service was friendly and quick. I will note getting a to go order was kind of frustrating, but it was just the way they do things. I wanted to order 3 more tacos to go to pickup an hour after we dined (to walk around Deerfield Commons a bit) and the serve could not do that. Sat at the bar, watched a little World Cup. Bartender was friendly and attentive. I had the queso blanco & chips and then 2 build your own tacos. I'm pretty picky with my queso, this was good, but not amazing. Same for the chips, they were just a little too thick, which made them seem stale, but I don't believe they were, just a different style. The Tex mex beef taco I had was fantastic. I enjoyed it a lot more than the chicken taco I ordered. I'm glad I tried both, chicken is my go to, so the beef was an impulse, but I would definitely have it again. All in all it was good, probably won't become my new place for tacos, but good atmosphere, and service does go a long way and I would stop in again if I'm hungry and in the area. read more
