This place is a complete embarrassment. I was having a late night dinner on Tuesday night, May 16, at South Hills (Pittsburgh) location with my girlfriend, when the night shift waiter almost got into a fist fight with some guy who only asked him to help and check on his takeout mobile order. We sat at the next table and overheard the whole conversation. The waiter was so arrogant, rude, and aggressive I have no idea how Condado Tacos keeps someone like him around. And the bartender instead of helping the customer actually told him to leave. If felt like some mobster hangout place rather than a restaurant. We are never going back there. read more

I love coming to condado and enjoy the atmosphere there so much. Me and my friends come quite often and the service is great every time. But last time I was in, one of the food runners was very very rude and unpleasant. I told her our tacos were wrong and she didn't even say anything just picked them up and went back to the kitchen. (Which i understand tacos get messed up that's fine with me but the attitude was disgusting). Once she brought the new ones out she didn't say anything but "here ya go" and rolled her eyes. I asked our server her name and she said Emma i didn't wanna say anything to management because i don't like getting people in trouble but it was just a terrible customer service experience and I had to say something. I've gotta lay my bias on the table. I love over the top Americanized tacos. And Condado does them perfectly. The meats are seasoned well, the vegetables were fresh, and the sauces were delicious. They also have a great selection of tequilas. The murals created a cool ambiance too. The one downside was the staff didn't seem very happy that we were there despite getting there 2 hours before close, but they still gave good service. Definitely check this place out. read more

I wouldn't give this a star but? I ate take out too afraid still to eat in. What's the use of wearing a mask in restaurant only to take it off? I had the 3 vaccine- so I decided to try their tacos- now I love Mexican foods. Last time had the best was in Zelienople pa El Toro restaurant near Zeli airport in 2001- this was the best food. I tried other places like Topopo in Mt Lebanon was ok but bland.So I ordered 2 Tacos Up in smoke I'm allergic to lettuce and Cilantro And I noticed their tacos have both- so I requested no either- and Eltraditional Taco- I was very disappointed when I got food home. First they had both I requested in it and It was had to eat with cilantro mixed in. I removed the lettuce but had to watch eating rest. Why do they use this herb?I called and talked to a woman who said manager wasn't there? So I Told her about my order? She said" Ma'am Cilantro is in our taco sauces I said I asked for no lettuce and Cilantro. Getting no where with her! So what little I could eat of these well I make a better taco at home w a taco kit and Over $14.00 for two & since all according to this woman every tacos they make have Cilantro in them And can't remove it upon request I won't eat their tacos! What a waste of money! If I even ate a 1/4 tsp of Cilantro I would of ended up in ER -I Get a bee string reaction if I eat either! Adios Conados won't be back! read more

Seems like they are doing everything they can to provide an elevated, casual dining experience while keeping customers safe since we are still in the middle of a global pandemic. Tried this place on advice from a friend. Margarita was so-so. Chips had an interesting thickness and crunch but would've been better warm and salted. Elote queso yummy. Guac ok pretty fresh but lacked citrus and salt. Tacos literally freezing cold. Every single one. Party of 5 ... 3 tacos each... all freezing cold. Flavors good especially the Korean BBQ. was not a fan of the hard shell inside the soft shell idea. It was soggy and some of the flavors were masked by the overpowering number of raw jalapeños and the spice. And I like spice. Manager said she would help with the experience on the bill but she didn't. In fact, I saw her discussing it with the bartenders as they looked over our way. But we didn't really complain just said honestly the food was ice cold. But we were pleasant about it and ate it anyhow. So not sure what the problem was. Paid full price. And the rice. Oh my! Mushy flavorless. Awful. Lastly, the atmosphere is loud and distracting with the most uncomfortable high top seats I've ever sat in. Yeah, sorry. I'll stick to El Campesino or Old Mexico. Walked in to place take out order due to not being able to place order online (phone died). Hostess said we can't do a take-out order. You must do it online. Manager also chimed in that i not permitted to place a take-out order in person due to the fact that I would be crowding the lobby. I literally looked at him like he was insane. He was rude. So was the hostess. I offered to purchase a cocktail ...i.e....I would be paying for a drink if allowed to make a take-out order. A really nice waiter finally helped me with taking the order. I stated....too bad I can't have a drink. He said of course you can and could not believe I was told I could not order a drink unless I went on the hour long wait list. Ordered online takeout for 5:45 p.m. pick up on Friday - online ordering was a breeze as I was able to 'label' each order. I was greeted cheerfully by the hostess who handed me our food order. I forgot to order Guac - she took me over to the bar where I placed my order. 2 people checked on me as I waited. (the restaurant was busy). After I got our Guac I headed home. Our food was neatly packed and labeled. Everything was there - and it was warm. Was it piping hot if I had ordered in the restaurant? No, but its takeout. I expect some heat loss. Every time we come here they have to always re-make our bowls. It's a fairly easy system, the waitress bubbles in the food items you want on her sheet and then someone puts it in the bowl. Yet, they still have a way to easily make them wrong. The waitress we had was friendly and the food is great once it's made right. The only saving grace they have is that Dave is an amazing manager and made it right. The 4 stars is for Dave and the food and the waitress. The food runner needs a lesson on how to be nice to people and not be so condescending. Other than that, we would recommend it again. read more

I'm PUMPED that the restrictions have lessened so that I will finally get to sit at the bar again at this restaurant. While I used to frequent the lawrenceville location, this new location is closer to my house and honestly had a chiller vibe if that makes sense. Every single employee that I interacted with greeted me and my family with a smile and this ace was so CLEAN. I saw hosts lasking around sanitizing tables, doors, and bathrooms which made me feel validated in choosing to bring my family here as they seem to care about keeping things safe during these weird COVID times. Also if you are gluten free this isnthenplace for you! They don't have soft corn shells on the menu but if you ask your server they can get them for you. This will definitely be my new hangout spot. This is our first visit at this location. Everyone is so courteous and kind. The food is outstanding. You can build your own taco or choose one of the interesting suggestions. The combinations were so great, I had to choose a few and remember others that I will try on our next visit. I didn't want to stop eating the warm crunchy chips combined with the great choices of salsa, queso and guac. Try the three buds, you will want to try them all! Today I had the Lucy's Fire and the Cali Green! Wow!!! Both excellent. This is a great place for lunch or dinner. The food and drinks were perfect.
