Was my go to for oil changes on my cars til one day I took my car for an oil change and wheel alignment. Had to take the car back right after leaving because the steering wheel was way off after the "alignment" then when the tech took it for a so called test drive it sounded more like a joy ride the way he took off coming out the shop. Brought it to the owners attention and he didn't do a thing about it. Not to mention a few days later my car was leaking oil because they left the oil filter loose, luckily I caught it on time before it leaked too much oil read more

WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT GO TO THIS REPAIR SHOP! They repair one thing and break another , they are liars and scam artist if you like wasting money this is the place to go. These guys fixed a misfire, changed my oil and fixed a filter in my 2012 VW CC 2 weeks later my engine blew and they lied and said bc of me not changing my oil when I go to them for all my cars work, DO NOT GO HERE !!! First time had service there and had very bad experience. It's a very simple repair, change a windshield fluid container took about 30 minutes and charged me 1 hour labor for $100. They left my bottom of frond bumper unscrewed and screwed the from passenger side back flash outside of the bumper. Would of gave them 5 stars due to the parking issue. First of all they are very friendly and honest people. I have taken both of my vehicles here and have gotten great deals and work done. Condor charges twice as much for parts because of a " one year warranty". for example, a 16. 75$ sway bar is 55$!!!! They do that for all their parts. What kind of warrantee charges you over twice the price. Also, they give you two stories. They told me they would call me when my insurance claim comes in with my refund. Of course they didn't. Now they are saying the insurance company is supposed to pay me. I would bet they took my check and my insurance check. Don't go here if you want your car fixed. read more

The mechanic tried to take advantage of me. I went in to have the coolant for my air-conditioner refilled. I've had my car eight years and it's not the first time I've had to get this type of routine maintenance done. Not only did they want to charge more than double what I've paid in the past for this service but they said I also needed a new compressor which would be an additional $1,000.00 (approx.) I was confused because my AC still worked it just needed to be a little cooler. I declined services and left. A week later we bought some coolant from Walmart for $20 and charged the AC ourselves. It was a relatively simple fix. It's been 3 weeks and it's still working great. THAT'S JUST WRONG CONDOR!!! I'm glad that worked out the way it did! I feel blessed :) read more

I still take my cars to Condor even though I'm in League City now. They've always been honest with me and have never tried to sell me a service that my cars did not need (as far as I know). They're conscious of the reality that people are on a budget and go out of their way to show you why a particular service needs to be done if something is discovered during routine service. These guys are really good at charging, But are horrible at fixing or repairing the work correctly the first time they do a job. Unfortunately I liked them when I first met them. But soon after I allowed them to work on several of my vehicles and very soon after the costs were getting higher and higher and worst of all serious fuel leak on on vehicle, almost had serious accident due to their faulty work and all the other vehicles that were worked on were having warranty problems. I had a heater issue. They said it was an electrical problem, and they ended up fixing it. The heater worked for only a few hours though. I had to get them to fix it again. It turned out that the heater core broke and needed to be replaced. We had to negotiate with them about the price. They deducted most, not all, of the cost of the first time the heater broke. They ordered the part and they ended up returning it because it didn't quite fit and/or wasn't the quality they expected. So they had to re-order the part. I liked that they did that... because if you are gonna take apart the entire dashboard to fix something, you should probably make sure you do it right the first time. I don't like so much the fact that I had to bring in my car again because their fix didn't completely work out. But I like that they have a 1 year warranty and they are very friendly and helpful. read more

I had an issue with my tire pressure sensor, they attempted to fix it and did not charge me because they were not sure if it would come back, it did and I had to take it to the dealer. This place is FULL OF IT! My Toyota Camry was having issues Examples: 1. Having to wait on hour to restart the car 2. Decreased gas mileage 3. Feeling of not enough pressure sometimes when driving 4. Check Engine Light on I brought my car into Condor and explained all of this. They ran an engine diagnostic and found the following issues that needed to be replaced. 1. Valve Cover Gasket replacement - $163.09 2. Tune Up - $289.13 3. Replaced Mass Sensor - $219.50 4. Throttle Body Service 157.99 5. Serpentine Belts Replaced - $121.33 Total Parts with Labor was $938.76 which included a $47.72 discount I picked the car up on 1/23/2019 and the same night the check engine light comes back and my car is doing the exact same thing it was before Condor took my $938.76. I then take it to Auto Zone to get an engine diagnostic. The reading showed that the mass flow sensor was bad. What? How? I literally had that replaced the day before. I then take my car back to Condor with my diagnostic from Auto Zone. I leave my car with them to see if maybe the mass flow sensor had a defect. I called an hour later to be told it's my fuel pump after all and that they wanted another $700 for parts and labor. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN. read more

Very dishonest business. Took my van their 1 year ago for a complete tune up and we started having trouble so we took it back and they tried to tell me that we needed a tune up and we told them they just did a complete tune up 1 year ago. They told us we need a new one. We had not even driven the vehicle 15k miles so this is BS, just trying to rip us off. I took it to a mechanic in Manvel and they told us non of the parts had been replaced. They are a rip off business and if it would do any good I would stand in front of their business with a sign that said they are frauds. This place is a rip off. Do not take your vehicle here. Oscar, who answers the phone is flat out rude. I have known Jose Luis for a few years. i am very disappointed that i am having to write this review, but not happy with his work. to start, the guy answering the phones is very rude and unprofessional. i started giving Condor Automotive my vehicles to work on, and at first, he was great, when he was at other location. i even referred alot of people to him. he did a tune up on my vehicle that cost me over $1100, 3 years ago and im having the same issue. i hadnt got a tune up since 2008 so it lasted 8 years without a tune up to begin with. his warranty was not covered past a year. seems it was half a**ed, potentially so i would have to bring it back to him for another tune up. i give up with this place and with his customer service. this place was good at one time. seems he wants to act like he cares, act like family, just to get your business and out the door. i would had love to keep this place as my mechanic, but its values and commitment to the customers have changed. i would not recommend this place to anyone again, nor will i be bringing back my vehicles. this place use to take pride in their work. seems customers are having to pay greatly for their new place.
