I just want to throw it out there that this place is a hidden gem. It's North Beach, a tourist spot, so the drinks aren't bottom of the barrel cheap, but they have tons of specials, just ask your bartender. Usually it's Kat or Erik. The manager, Mark, is also extremely friendly and helpful. The staff is top-notch! If you want the ideal experience, be nice to the girls, and for God's sake, tip them! Those girls work hard and as it's been said previously...they don't get hourly. If they look disinterested, it's most likey because people are acting like it's a free show. My favorites are Luna, Michelle, Marisa, Stella, Milana & Ryan. Lux is full of dry humor and moxie. Head in if you want to be entertained, not offended. :) read more

Went here to watch my friend's band perform (Kit Ruscoe's Trio, check them out, they are here every 3rd Friday of the month). Bartender was very friendly, drinks are cheap (probably cause they want you to spend money on the ladies), and location is perfect. During the day (when it's a music venue and not an "Adult entertainment venue" the curtains are open and it's a nice spot to people watch (right on the corner of Columbus and Broadway). It's a very old-fashioned stripclub, with a nice feel to it. At 6pm sharp the curtains closed and the ladies came down for their show. Just check the schedule make sure its not a fight night we some how keep going on a fight night and the girls dont go on till late. I had a great time for my first trip to a place like this. I spent the better part of Sunday day at the condor. Even though the main entertainment didn't start until 8pm, the Bartender Summer did an awesome job keeping us entertained and hydrated! The Happy hour is from when they open until 9pm which is incredible, HAPPY HOUR prices were pretty good especially for Broadway! Hard to beat 5$ drinks. They had a band which was pretty good nothing to write home about. but over all I had a great time! live music, cheap drinks, and great services. I definitely would recommend checking the place out. I'll say this too, if you have never been to a strip club this is a great place to start! They have two main rooms, one looks like your traditional strip club with a big stage in the middle surrounded by tables, then booths, the other room has a more sports bar atmosphere. So if your unsure of the whole scene you can just chill at the bar (which is pretty well stocked) order a drink and watch the game on tv, or watch an entertainer on the smaller cocktail stage. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!Last night my husband and I brought a couple, our good friends from out of town to have some fun. I've only been to a strip club once before and din't know you can't record or take photos, nor had I seen any signs stating I couldn't. I know beauty is relative, but I personally was quite unpleasantly surprised at how not pretty most entertainers were (my personal opinion). However, we ordered some drinks and sat down. Finally I see 1 girl that was actually cute, so I innocently started recording, none of us saw it as a big deal, I was just excited that there was finely one I liked... Well, all of a sudden an African American security walks towards me demanding for me to stop recording! I immediately stopped and apologized stating that I didn't know that wasn't allowed. He asked for my phone, I said "I'm deleting as we speak, but don't feel comfortable with you looking thru my phone and my personal photos, so I'll show you once it's deleted" He turned verbally aggressive on me and said he was going call the cops! FTH! At this point I got very upset and told him "since you want to go this route, I'm not deleting the video until you show me where it states that I can't record as you're making it seem as if I have the obligation to know your establishment's policies!" He started yelling and screaming, I calmly kept telling him I'll be happy to delete as soon as he shows me something in writing. I knew at that point that there would be something, but because he was being completely unreasonable, I needed to give him a bit of a hard time. He went and got the manager because him, himself couldn't handle the situation as he was obviously very poorly trained. The manager showed my husband a sign that they had at the entrance, that we didn't even notice as we entered the place. Cool, I deleted the video and showed I did. I thought we were all good now, when that ignorant, insignificant creature starts literally in the most unprofessional way talking shit about me to all the staff right under my nose! That was it, I felt unappreciated, degraded and humiliated. We didn't even finish our drinks and left as I didn't want to lower down to his level. We then went to The Penthouse Club, were greeted very warmly, got a VIP table, ordered bottles of champagne, lap dancers, and had a fun filled night with some really beautiful entertainers and polite, well trained staff. That's not good. He end up pay $100 for just drinks for their drink and my one drink . I think it disappoint customers and not been honest this is make us not go back again . They took all customers table money and order fake drink and charge $20- each shot glass drink i think that's not good. My first here and it was the time I've had in a gentleman's club. From the host at the entrance, too the bar tenders, the bathroom attendant, and the girls, the service was top notch; everyone treated my friends and I with respect. I only have two gripes: the drink minimums ($50 minimum at a table, $15 at the bar); this actually deterred more from spending more because I had to meet a quota but I understand when dealing with drunks they have to constantly be taken care of...but it was still annoying. My second gripe, the waitresses and bar tenders being adamant about the signatures on the receipt being exactly the same as the one's on our licences; example, "I need you put a line through the center of your signature, like your ID. I LITERALLY stumbled into the condor after dinner in NB expecting to see the live music Condor i remembered a year or so ago, and to my surprise, its now titty city. Never shy, my wife and i stayed for a drink and we found the staff to be very friendly and nice, the place is clean, but...and i repeat BUT, what a let down on what the place could have been. My point is that the Condor is one of the true cool buildings in SF with a gigantic history dating back to who knows when. Carol Doda decended from her piano in this very building and rather than make it a cool retro chic place, they have taken the parchment walls and leather booths and somehow classed it below a crappy sports bar. It is presently a crappy feeling, disjointed, strip club with no ambiance. I actually think that you couldnt make less ambiance if you tried...short of folding chairs. With such a perfect pallet, history, reputation, and the busiest location in north beach, how can you not create the premiere gentlemens club experience on the planet? If youre going to go the boobie barn route, at least make it impessive. That area has plenty of 3rd rate strip clubs, how about an upscale one??? This last time was, I think, all-in-all the best so far. It's nice to watch a group of talent develop in terms of their stage presence, acts, interaction with the audience. This time the acts were really good - Kitty had only one really bad comedian (people were talking about paying him just to leave the stage) - and the rest were top notch. Kitty herself was in great form (she has a real talent for organization and presentation). The staff was really good - hats off to Mark and the guys. Everyone is really pulling it all together. San Francisco is going to have a real honest to goodness cabaret! I think the next one is the 23rd of Feb and then the following one is the 23rd of March. /m read more

Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sharing this ordeal in the hopes no one else will fall victim to the same scam I did. After exploring sf for the day I passed by the Condor and thought it would be fun to stop in for a minute. I got a drink and took a seat by the stage and before I even had time to finish it a cocktail server informed me I needed to either continue spending money or leave. While I had already spent money at the bar it seemed cash for the "entertainment" is what they were soliciting. Since I'm pretty inexperienced in places like this I yielded thinking it was common courtesy, but already disappointed with the customer service. Since I had no cash I found the atm and it was about that time I was approached by two entertainers (Nessa and Aaliyah) who began talking to me and offering a private dance. I figured this might help improve the overall reception and experience and agreed to a dance with two girls for $150. They walked me to the host booth and I handed over my card, which was held onto. I was directed upstairs and received a dance to a song that was interrupted by the host saying my card was being declined, to which I called my bank and confirmed that I was in fact at the Condor. I remained in the club lingering about a short time, until I decided to head home. The following day I checked my bank statement and to my horror saw charges totaling $3,000 made by the Condor. I immediately retuned and demanded to see management. Rocky the "acting manager" told me for that amount of money I had to have signed paperwork and provided multiple identifications and a thumbprint (which I didn't ) but unfortunately he didn't have access to those receipts and I would have to speak with the general manager Mark. He also told me it sounded like I paid for VIP treatment, although nothing of the sort was ever described to me during my transaction. I retuned a second time when I was told Mark would be there and instead encountered Mike, another "acting manager" who confirmed what I was told about their procedures but couldn't tell me for sure if Mark would be in that day because "sometimes he just doesn't show up". He did suggest I use the email provided on the website as I had already wasted more money and time returning twice. After sending an email explaining my grievance I received a response from Mark with a number to contact him. I called and was told by Mark that "this happens all the time" and that he could substantiate these charges with their paperwork and it would be no problem to have it sent to me, they just needed to get in touch with their corporate office. I waited for weeks receiving nothing and reached out again to Mark over the phone who apologized that he "dropped the ball" and would be "getting it to me". More and more weeks have gone by and I've sent numerous emails and voicemails with no response. In his final response Mark insisted all polices and procedures were followed, and I consented to a VIP room by agreeing to go upstairs for my dance so was subsequently billed the rates for this room for my remaining time spent in the club. I have yet to see the contract I supposedly signed, let alone a receipt for anything at all. While I am investigating other courses of action I just wanted to warn everyone who may be thinking of trying this place out of the advantageous deception and lack of professionalism I encountered . This used to be a great place. Laid back, friendly women and good atmosphere. It recently got some new hire managing the place and you can feel the ice in the air. Whatever they did, they should not have, take it back, get old management back. The girls wont talk but you can tell, people are missing, the place just aint the same, go elsewhere for fun. So I really don't care too much about topless bars but my friends wanted to go. Plus we are from LA and I'm in a different city, why not?! The doorman was pleasant and it wasn't an issue to get in. It was pretty steady inside. Bathrooms were clean and the place was the cutest inside. Love the ambiance and environment. Girls were good. I absolutely loved my waitress she was incredibly attentive. Don't remember her name but she was a beautiful Hispanic with glasses and had a cute 50s outfit on which made the place feel more vintage. Loved it! First of all, I've never been to a Strip club in my life so I called in to ask some of the basic things like admission charge, ATM fees and how long they're open for- it's my friend's birthday and she really wanted to make it rain on the girls. The first hostess picked up and answered my first couple questions in a swift manner but as soon as I paused, I hear the dial tone. I never go to places like this, so take this review with a grain of salt. The women here were nice and always friendly and willing to talk with you. They do not go topless that often unless you are tipping them well, which is to be expected I guess. But they will sit next to you at the bar or at a table and give you all kinds of suggestions. The drinks are really expensive like $13 for a mix drink. The place is really small and same with the bathroom, so on a crowded night I could see this place not being uncomfortable. The best way to really get up close and personal with the girls is a private dance. They can really be amazing just for you in a private booth or upstairs(I never went up so no clue). This place rules. I've been here with friends. I've been here with my wife. We have always felt welcome. Staff is cool. Girls are nice...unless you'd prefer them mean... ;) What else do you want? Unlike a lot of strip clubs (yes, yes, I have been to a couple), this place is comfortable, and for many reasons. There is actually a little room to breathe and move around. The booths are great if you can snag one. The high ceiling in the main room makes for some pretty awesome pole tricks. The private areas are clean and pleasant. The dancers seem comfortable too. We met one dancer who had been working there 8 years! Pretty impressive. And the Condor has history! Go find the plaque that claims first topless bar. Who knows if that is really true, but I like how it sounds. We also met DT, who was running the show, and he was very cool and accommodating. Maybe his management style is why this place feels comfortable. ...and to all the other yelpers complaining about the drink prices: it's a strip club. What did you expect? I come here a lot. This club has the most diversity of any strip Club I've visited in SF - and I've been to plenty. The girls are cute, they've got happy hour and free entry until 9pm, and the prices for dances are low compared to competitors. They also run special events and promotions occasionally. The stage shows are super fun to watch, very sexy and impressive, those girls really deserve their tips because they totally work that stage, so take care of them! The more you tip, the better the show. The vibe overall is super cozy & comfortable, not intimidating at all. It's got a really cool, inclusive environment. Whether you're male or female, straight or lgbtq+, single or coupled, I've witnessed this club show everyone a good time. I noticed the crowd of customers is always really diverse as well which is awesome. There's a lot of tourism, both domestic and international. The location is great for food and entertainment overall. It's right at the corner of two major streets so if you're strolling by you can't miss it, there's a huge sign. The clubs got decades of history, it's really established, but it's got a vintage feel to it with the dated decor and all. It's definitely not glamorous lol. This place seems to be a crowd favorite though, like one of those underrated hidden gems of the city you take all your friends to because it's like your second home. I see as many groups and couples frequent this spot as individuals. It's worth checking out, it's chill, as long as you treat the girls well and support the cause, they'll treat you very well in return. The Condor Club is great. It's more than just another strip on Broadway, it is a historical landmark, being the first legal strip club in the United States and maybe the world. The interior is elegant with vintage style decor and old photos of former dancers including the legendary Carol Doda. I actually lead a tour through the club to tell visitors about the history and some ghost stories attached to this place (one of the most bizarre deaths in SF history occurred here). The manager, Mark, and other employees were super friendly and accommodating. They greeted all the guests and showed them around. Everyone came out impressed.
