I live in the San Fernando Valley, and this little gem of a place is worth the drive…read more They got little cute cow jokes and decor all around the store, and the vibe just feels so lively and fun and cute, and kids automatically love all the decor and cow stuff everywhere in the store. They got a variety of ice creams, some common ones but also some new ones. This is the first place I ever had a chance to try the espresso ice cream, which is ice cream with a shot of espresso, and it was delicious, especially as a coffee lover and ice cream lover. Kids devoured all their ice cream, which is rare for them to do. They also serve food here, which we did not get to try but is good to know is an option. They have tables everywhere and a fountain machine and some unique teas I got to try, like their lavender tea! This was beautiful and so amazing. I can't wait to come back and grab another ice cream espresso from here and maybe try one of their sandwiches. Yum!

What is Black, White, and Udder-ly adorable??…read more No, it is not me in the Tuxedo that I'm wearing right now as we speak... but good guess! =) It's a Cow of Course!! Hey, I'm a Dad and Dad jokes are what we Dads do best! Alright enough shenanigans. I'm going to attempt something different here. I am going to write this review using common COW IDIOMS. Wait! You don't know what a Cow is?? Well, It's a four-legged mammal from the Bovidae Family, also known as Cattle. They can produce milk and are the Main source of Beef. Fun Fact: Some eateries even using "cows" as their Mascot. Oh, you weren't talking about the Cow, you wanted to know what an Idiom was... my Bad lol. Well, An Idiom is "a group of words established by usage as having a meaning not deducible from those of the individual words." Thank You Google for that definition! And after reading what an Idiom was, apparently I didn't know what it actually meant either... haha Anywho... Let's "Take this Bull by the Horns" and get this review of Little Calf Creamery and Cafe on the road. Without a doubt, The "Cash Cow" to this little local establishment is probably not the CAFE part, but my guess, it's the CREAMERY half of the business. I mean, who doesn't Love Ice Cream??? Scoops, Sundaes, & Sandwiches all loaded with your favorite creamy dessert?? Yes, Please!! And trust me, every time I come here with my kids, They are "Like a Bull at a Gate" trying to get to the front of the line to place their order for their favorite flavor of Ice Cream. My first thought, slow your roll kids. Dinner first, then we can discuss Dessert. Fast forward to when we get our food.... Some of what I'm about to say is TRUE, but the rest may or may not be "Bull$h1t" that I just made up.... Kid #1 (the oldest): "Daddy, they put ketchup on my hamburger; I didn't want ketchup" Me: "Here's a napkin, just wipe it off" Kid #2 (the middle child): "Daddy, I'm full" Me: "Take 2 more bites please." 8 seconds later.... Kid #2: "Can we get Ice Cream now?" Me: I thought you were full. Kid #2: I took my two bites, how bout that Ice Cream? Kid #2: One Daddy: Zero Kid #3 (she's the baby): "Daddy, I pooped" Me: (to my wife) "hey Babe, I love you...." My Wife: (without skipping a beat) "Diapers are in the car" Me: Yes, dear (lol) Well that's settles that. And I know what you are all thinking... "Holy Cow!" That was close one! Hey, I'm not ready to "Buy the Farm" over no diaper change... I haven't even had my Ice Cream yet. ;) Ok, ok I know it feels like you have been waiting "until the cows come home" for my opinion of this place on whether or not it's worthy of a visit. Hey! No need to "Have a Cow", cause here it is.... Little Calf Creamery and Cafe is a fun little local shop in Thousand Oaks that serves up delicious Ice Cream with some familiar flavors and also some flavors that will spark your interest... -Moorpark Road (their take on Rocky Road) -Roasted Coffee!! -Witches Brew...Spooky!! In addition to their Ice Cream, they've got lunch and dinner covered so you can take a break from the kitchen... And doing the dishes for that matter! Last visit, the favorite food item rated by the kids and by me.... Their Kids menu Chicken Tenders and Fry Basket! All I can say.... "Holy Cow"... We are definitely coming back for more of those bad boys. Until Next time... There is "No Cow On Ice" Cause Little Calf in T.O. has got everything under control.

My new FAVORITE breakfast & lunch spot -- Café ViVi is an absolute hidden gem!!…read more I actually discovered Café ViVi while visiting the Games Workshop next door, and I'm so glad I did. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel like family. They go out of their way to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps you coming back again and again. The food is unreal. If you're a chili fan, this place is a MUST-visit -- they have FOUR different house-made chili options that increase in spice level, and each one is fantastic. And if you love French toast, do yourself a favor and order the flaked French toast... you will not regret it. Pro tip: try the off-menu chili tater tots at least once. Get the second-hottest chili and load up the toppings -- seriously incredible. The décor has a great local farm-to-table vibe, there's a full bar, and TVs to catch games while you eat. It somehow feels cozy and lively at the same time. Honestly, this might be the best-kept secret in the county -- but it shouldn't stay a secret. More people need Café ViVi in their lives. Go check it out!

I've been to a few cat cafes, but this one was different from the rest--much more calm, and the staff member in the cat area was great about letting us know factoids about each cat my wife and I interacted with. They were also gentle but firm reminding people about the rules that keep the cats safe, which I really appreciated because I really don't like to see parents letting their little ones smack cats with toys or chase them around. Plus this cafe is affiliated with Best Friends, which is a great rescue organization.

I got a banana matcha that was one of the best I've had in the area. Great flavor and not too sweet. My husband loved his cappuccino as well. We got my son a vanilla bean donut and he really enjoyed it. As a momma, I appreciated that it wasn't sweet. Loved this place for the great drinks and super cute experience. Will definitely be going back when I'm in town.

Only thing worth mentioning is it got a little warm and stuffy inside while we were there, but I survived. :) I will definitely go back again. It's just a lil hidden in the corner. I'm glad bc it's def gonna become one of my go-to's now. Ive been here twice and it def gets busy around lunch time, not many seats were available when we went here around 12pm. But I'm glad business seems to be doing well bc it's a cute place. Cozy little spot with great food and bingsu! They absolutely nail the fluffy snow-like texture of Korean shaved ice. Portions are pretty big so I'd say stick to either getting food or shaved ice bc I have a pretty big appetite but couldn't finish either! And it's a lil hard to store bingsu in the freezer since it's prone to becoming completely frozen if you leave it in there too long. It won't have the fluffy melt in your mouth texture anymore. So eat as soon as your can even if you take it to-go (they pack them in drink cups with lids if you order to-go). I've had the matcha, Oreo, mango, and original flavors. They're all good but I'd rank original last bc I was expecting a lore more injeolmi powder like ive seen in pics + the flavors were too subtle for me (I did order with oat milk however so that can be where I went wrong). I'd say Oreo was my fave of all that ive tried. Only the ones with a white base are available with dairy-free options btw, so matcha and Oreo can't be made dairy-free. They appear to have seasonal flavors as well. The panini was very good. My partner called it prob the best smelling sandwich he's had LOL. I'm excited to try their drinks and other sandwiches next time!

The cups were what sold me, but I forgot to get the cute sleeves, which was a little disappointing. However, the line was insanely long, and it took us over an hour just to pick up our coffee. I tried the Banana Cloud Latte because I've heard good things. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it surprised me and I really enjoyed the flavor. We also got the La La Latte and the Upside Down Latte, which were both equally good and tasted more like caramel. We tried a couple croissants as well. They were decent, not the best I've had. The almond croissant was definitely better than the chocolate one. The almond filling was really buttery and soft, but the chocolate croissant was a bit too crunchy. Overall, the drinks were decent.
