I ordered The French dip sandwich with a salad and their blueberry coconut smoothie with added fiber. It was great. If you want a really healthy version of the French dip this is the place to go. The bread was tasty and the meat was thinly sliced with Swiss cheese and I believe aïoli sauce. They could've added a little more aoli but that was fine because it also came with a side of the French dip clear gravy. This is not a typical thick meat French dip sandwich. The portion for the meat was thin and I was very happy with it. A lot of meat in a sandwich does not make a sandwich great. If you do want it with a little more meat you could always ask. I will take quality over quantity any day and this was pure quality. The smoothie was absolutely delicious. The only change I would say is that the smoothie was not all the way to the top. It was about an inch from the top which did look a bit awkward. That is easily fixed. They just need to fill their smoothie to the top so that it makes a better presentation. I texted the driver and he said to let them know. I would also wrap the smoothie with seranwrap and Bag tightly so that the customer receives it packaged. I had forgotten to eat dinner the other night so I drank the smoothie pretty quick and forgot to take a picture. I usually take a picture first but my stomach was growling. I will order it again so I can take a proper picture of it and perhaps the next time it will be packaged and completely full. So I just moved here from Chicago and I used a meal prep service back there due to convince because I'm in the field a lot with my job. I found this place last week by doing a google search and I liked the name so I messaged them in instagram with some questions. They replied quick and were very helpful. On Saturday I was done at the gym and looking for something good for breakfast so I jumped on yelp and found this place not realizing until I got there that it was the same meal prep place I messaged on instagram. He immediately remove once I introduced myself and I have breakfast. An Italian omelet that was absolutely amazing. While I was there I ordered my 15 meals for the week and they will be ready on Monday. Great experience so far and if the meals are as good as the breakfast I had (I have no doubt they will be) this will be my go to from now on. Thanks! I highly recommend them. read more

Five stars right from the get-go!!! Urban Society Cafe and Meal Prep is the latest addition to Athletic Society Health Club, located at 2400 Willow Lane in Thousand Oaks. And what a terrific addition! The restaurant itself is bright, airy, immaculate and tastefully decorated, which makes it a very inviting spot to enjoy wonderful food throughout the day. The menu is vast and imaginative, food is fresh and cooked to order, portions are large--and everything is delicious. We've eaten there several times and never have been disappointed. Our favorites tend to be the omelets--my favorite is the Greek omelet, which is a gourmet delight. Salads are also wonderful. I'm delighted to have a new post-workout spot for lunch, and recommend it highly. read more

I was really craving pasta, which I normally never eat. Randomly found this place on Yelp- menu looked good and they were 10 mins from my work. Dope. First, yeah, the location is really weird (inside a gym AND unmarked). They really should have a sign of their own on the outside of the gym (I only found it by reading other yelp reviews lol). And the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a place of inside a gym. I suppose they get enough business from hungry gym goers to make this all worth it? That said, the food is REALLY good. The pasta genuinely tastes freshly made, so I for sure wanna go back and try their brunch/other dishes. And the service was pretty good too- they messed up my takeout order, but the kid working the register was super nice about fixing it ASAP. The cafe is located inside and to the right of the entrance into the Athletic Society Club. Lots of buff folks walking in and out. Perhaps they look like that because they eat here?? The menu is healthy and buff, for sure! Although there are some of the usual carb-heavy breakfasts on the menu, you can enjoy truly inspired treats to start your day. I started with a perfectly prepared Lavazzo decaf cappuccino. Ordered the Quinoa Benedict Breakfast. No soggy English muffin here, but rather two crispy quinoa and shredded sweet potato cakes, each topped with a poached egg and a well-made benedict sauce. These were accompanied with a saute of baby spinach, sliced mushrooms and a bit of onion topped with ripe avocado slices. The yolks of the eggs melded with the benedict sauce for a sensational breakfast. Wonderful plate! DH ordered the pancakes with whipped cream and banana. All I heard from him was, "Mmmmmmm - mmmmmmm." Service was as excellent as the meal. Looking forward to our next visit! read more

I LOVE poached eggs...on pretty much anything. And here, you can get PERFECTLY poached eggs (3 of them included in pretty much anything) for a VERY reasonable price. So you know, I watched the chef use the restroom, and NOT WASH HIS HANDS, as well as the main guy, on a separate occasion do that exact same thing!! Trainers, CLIENTS, anyone has access into the kitchen. How is that sanitary, or accepted by the heath department? Staff parks in handicap stalls. These are the things I noticed eating their on my first time. Food is okay, but after I saw a staff member not was his hands after going to the restroom, as well as watching a trainer, and her client walk behind the counter, into the back, where the chef is, I vowed to never eat there again. Ok, weirdest physical space ever, you're more or less in the lobby of a gym and it looks like it might just be a juice bar...it's strange as hell, and we almost didn't go in because of it. They definitely need a different space, but the food is SO worth it. My husband had the Roman breakfast (Rice for breakfast??) and it was amazing. I had the breakfast burrito and I could have eaten the salsa it came with just on it's own...yum, yum yum!!!! I've seen a few cafes in this location come and go over the 10 years I have been a member of the gym. This review is long overdue since I think I was one of their first customers and have been frequenting this place ever since. You don't have to be a gym member to dine here, it's right in the front lobby and anyone can come in to eat. The food is delicious and the service is always friendly and prompt. It's convenient to grab a yummy, healthy, meal after my workout. On the weekends when I have my kids in the kids club they beg me to eat here. It's not all healthy stuff either. They have amazing pancakes, waffles, French toast, Pasta, etc. If you ask they will basically make you whatever you want. They also do meal prepping which I just tried for the first time this week. I was blown away at how good the food was and so affordable! My husband and I can now have healthy prepared meals on hand in our fridge or for him to take to work. I recently made a visit to the new Urban Society Cafe located in the brand new health club/gym Athletic Society and had the best Mediterranean food I've had in the area. They offer meal prepping and plans to help reach fitness goals for a reasonable price and the owner Mike is the nicest guy with great hospitality and customer service.
