We were Hungry. We found this place tucked away in a small, newer retail outdoor area. We walked in to see plenty of indoor seats, very open and the cook working the counter was SO nice! Menu has a large variety. I ordered the Basil Panini and my mom ordered the Napa chicken panini that had mushrooms. Hers looked very good and mine was AMAZING! We will return for sure! If you drive through or near Moorpark - I recommend finding this little gem. It's located in the retail area West of Target and in the center where Amazon market is located. read more

For the second time THIS YEAR, I placed an order online and when I get there to pick it up they are closed. I arrived at 6:30, the time my email said the order would be ready. The posted hours indicated they were open but the place was dark. The charge for the food is currently pending on my credit card. I just tried calling the restaurant this morning to discuss how to get my money back. The manager was not in yet but the worker took my number and said he will call me back. I wished her luck in her job because I can't see this place staying in business much longer. I miss Camille's. Same food, better service. At least they were open when they are supposed to be open. This review is only based upon their service, or lack there of. For the last 20 plus years going back when they were part of the franchise "Camille's", I have ordered Tuscan tomato soup for my better half. I would go out and get my meal and swing back to CJs, for the soup. Tonight at 6:40 pm on a Friday evening, they were not serving customers. Sadly this has happened no less than a dozen times to me, that CJs is randomly closed for the evening. Usually I can see the owner in the back, cleaning and ignoring or just oblivious to me or anyone else trying to get a meal. Initially the soup was $7.00, now it's $9.00. If you do the math based upon going there once a month, sometimes I went more than once a month , it's a few grand. Depressing. I'm not proud to admit that I've patronized CJs even though the multiple times they were closed outside of their posted hours. Tonight I did try calling from outside the restaurant, and still ignored. Thank you for the soup in the past, I'm done trying to guess if you will be open in the future. read more

I came here with a couple friends for some brunch our usual spot was closed on Monday's so I found this little place and I am so sad I didn't know about this place sooner This cafe has very low traffic for how great the food was we ordered a Napa Chicken Panini, Turkey Pretzel Roll, and a spicy chicken strip wrap. They are short staffed (as stated on their register) but did their best to help us and other customers Paninis: the Napa chicken panini was my favorite. It had the right amount of sauce and crunch to it. I wanted to try their soup of the day (chicken panbpano) which was tasty. I was able to make it a combo by ordering "your two picks." As for the ham and Swiss panini, the pesto made it more delicious. My friend and I were very pleased with our panini and would recommend this place to anyone craving a sandwich or wants to try something new. Today I had the half and half, sandwich and potato soup. This was the first time I wasn't wowed by the soups I guess in more used to loaded potato soups. We have been going here for years now. The fun memories that were had eating amazing food and the good old water fountain. The food is great and there is something for everyone. They had great drinks and their frozen yogurt was so good. They are a great local business to support. If you want to call in a pick they are always on it and you never wait for your food. For a great lunch or dinner place this a great option! They have options for inside and outside sitting and they always have nice calm music on. Recently came here for lunch with my daughter and my girlfriend on Saturday, June 14, 2025 Had heard great things about this place and was sort of excited to try it out. Too bad the food my girlfriend ordered a grilled chicken wrap and I ordered a club sandwich, we ordered a blueberry pie smoothie for our daughter and pb&j sandwich. First of all, the grilled chicken wrap was horrendously disgusting. The chicken and cheese and vegetables looked like they came out of a frozen package and were microwaved for not quite long enough and then shoved into a tortilla and pressed into a machine to get grill marks on it. My girlfriend wouldn't even eat it, it was so gross. My club sandwich was ok but it had literally one piece of tiny scraggly bacon on it which was honestly so small I couldn't taste it, I had to open the sandwich in order to confirm it was present. Also beware the tortilla chips that come with nearly every meal. If you're lactose intolerant, DO NOT EAT THE TORTILLA CHIPS! That's honestly the only time time I've found tortilla chips to contain both butter and milk. The last thing that really set the icing on the cake was that there are literally no prices on any of the items anywhere. Our bill was over $60 for a sandwich, disgusting wrap, a kid's pb&j and smoothie. Next time I'll just go somewhere else like Jersey Mike's or Panera for half the cost. Not to mention there was a constant stream of water with a large puddle near the soda fountain. I watched nearly every customer dodge the puddle as it was right in the walkway. We even warned an elderly man with a cane who was walking over it while the employees did absolutely nothing to try and clean it up. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of value on our visit as well as the disregard for cleanliness and safety for patrons. read more

Local cafe with good food but semi-pricey. If you're from out of town, I would call for their most current prices and not rely on their website for up-to-date menu prices. Unfortunately, plenty of small business owners just haven't made the time to update their website. Grub Hub and others tends to be up-to-date since they get customers ordering through them. Food is pretty good, except I haven't had their pizza which some reviews state tastes frozen. You can ask if they use frozen pizza or if they make it fresh. Plenty of pizza places use frozen pizza dough, but I don't think that is what the reviews are concerned about. A breakfast bagel with a side of fresh fruit (and it is super fresh) will cost you $14 + tax. It's not a giant bagel either lol. That's a bit much to me but every once and a while I don't mind spending nearly $20 for a bagel breakfast sandwich and cup of coffee ($3.00 with free refills). Customer service is friendly. They do have some young employees, so if you find they've seemed to close up early, and turned off the stoves an hour before they close, call next time and ask to speak to the manager to confirm hours and last call for ordering. Try to give them some grace, we all probably did something like that back in the day. read more
