Quick one. We've used CT AirSys since they came out to repair our HE gas boiler that stopped suddenly. We had NO hot water since our boiler also supplied our house's hot indirect water heater tank. Those things are amazingly efficient but if you skip maintenance on your boiler you might have a cold shower in store for yourself like I did. ANYWAY, they were able to come out the next day (a day earlier than anyone else could) and fixed it fast and luckily for us it was not a wallet buster. Had CT Air replace my 40 year old oil furnace with a HE Natural Gas furnace in January 2021, as well as replacing my outside AC Unit and updates to some ductwork. They sent out a team of 6 or so guys and had the whole job done in 4-5 hours. Very reasonable price tag on the job - easily comparable to anyone else in town. Came on time and cleaned up afterward. Very professional and answered all my questions. This last week I lost heat due to a faulty thermostat (though I didn't know the cause at the time, as the thermostat appeared to be working). They sent someone out the same day I called, gave me a very reasonable charge for the technician to take a look at my system, and got the heat running again. Even did some quick maintenance for me while he was there. I would use these guys every time. read more

I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the level of professionalism exhibited by the company and staff. We wanted to have our furnace and HW heater replaced and central air installed. Out of the three estimates we received, CAS was the lowest. In addition, they discovered issues with our ductwork that the other two companies missed. After several years of loyalty (since 2004), having A/C installed and serviced by CT Air Systems we just discovered extreme mold buildup in our air handler; something technicians would have seen and should have reported several visits ago. Instead we've lived with contaminated mold in our airstream. Ownership (Andy) down played the severity of this negligence. Duct cleaning team spoke briefly with owner and a dozen pictures of the contaminated areas were sent. Ownership suggested that "I will make my guys aware that they should be more diligent when servicing units and let them know that a customer complained". Shouldn't they be telling people all the time? He also went on to mention that "when my guys see stuff like that they don't want to touch it". So its OK for their customers to breath contaminated air? Offering to come out and clean the blower represented some culpability prior to seeing the actual pictures. Blower had already been cleaned by duct technician so it saved CT Air the hassle. $1400 later our air handler and ductwork have been properly cleaned and disinfected. Buyer beware using this firm, they lack the attention to detail you would expect from a company whose sole purpose is handling the air you breath in your home. read more

And they recently did another great job replacing our downstairs central AC when that forty-year-old system bit the dust. This is going to be a rave review, so hold onto your seat. I spent many hours choosing whom to ask for bids for a new furnace and central A/C system. I ended up with four companies, of which one is the known as the "Cadillac" company in the area, one was recommended by a friend who owns 500,000 feet of commercial real estate and who does construction and reconstruction frequently, and two were based on Yelp and Google reviews. All four sent out people to inspect the house and the outside air conditioner and the difficult-to-access crawl space with the furnace. All seemed competent and promised to send in bids shortly. My first comment is about the bidding process. One did not bid at all, perhaps afraid of the crawl space. Two submitted proposals that seemed reasonable, but they were then not responsive to questions about alternatives. The bids were very similar, so it became an issue of selecting the best company. Connecticut Air Systems (CAS) engaged in a lengthy email and telephone correspondence in which numerous alternatives were discussed. To put it boldly, no question by me was left unanswered. And the answers were prompt and correct. For instance, CAS was the only firm that knew that running a stainless steel tube up the chimney for the exhaust vent is not permitted with a condensor (95% plus efficiency) furnace; the other two firms were planning to do this. Installation: CAS sent out 10, yes ten, people one day who did the entire installation including a significant amount of sheet metal work done in-house at their shop, and the furnace was up and running that night. Some final touches were done the next day. The installation was done elegantly and correctly. In sum, this was a dream installation. read more

I do not typically write reviews and I in-fact signed up for this account just to specifically write this review... I couldn't be any happier with the work that was done by Tony & Family with the system they put in, the way it was installed and (VERY IMPORTANTLY) the way they cleaned everything up. My wife and I bought our first home last year and the only thing it lacked was my ability to "freeze her out" with a nice A/C system. CT Air Systems was recommended by her colleague. Tony Sr. came in spent time drawing plans of our house with precise measurements, planning drops from attic, through closets to main floor, walked us through the process, explained the details of the system they were suggesting, did not oversell us. We asked him for the two zone system and he highly suggested not to as we didn't need it with our sized home. Quoted us an incredibly fair price. When Tony Jr. showed up on Day 1, he and his crew meticulously worked to neatly install all the ducts, handlers, condenser etc. It was raining hard enough and they didn't get a drop of mud/dirt and the place was incredibly clean. Day 2 went just as well, and my father (a former carpenter whose built homes/extensions whatever) confirmed their work. For something as daunting a cost to young homeowners as installing a system I couldn't thank them enough as they were thoughtful and professional the entire time. read more

They installed a commercial HVAC unit for an office building a year ago for tens of thousands of dollars and they now tell me they don't do service contracts for commercial units. Additionally, they wouldn't even tell me when they would be out to help the tenant get the air working and that their residential customers come first. I wish I knew this before I spent all this money. I would not recommend them. Very disappointed with their lack of customer service. You can't run a business in 85 degree weather.. This system is brand new!!!! There are so many other helpful HVAC companies that I would use. My advice - MOVE ON AND USE SOMEONE ELSE! read more
