I loved this place when I was a kid back when they were still in Pembroke center. When they moved to Hanson I stopped going for a few years basically because I forgot about it. Once I remembered they were there I made a point to check them out again. Bad Idea! They crushed all my childhood memories of this place. Ive been attempting to get to Connie's for about a year. Maybe three stars is a bit low but I was expecting spectacular and it was only okay. Went there the other day and got ribs. I did not touch the french fries while I was there, because they were basically quartered potatoes fried and didn't look that appetizing. But i took my leftovers home anyway, how i wish i hadn't. I took one bite out of one of the wedge fries and spit it out. The inside was basically green mush. My husband and I visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our young adult children that go all the time. We had a waitress named Devin (I remembered her name because I had a local day care and one of the children in my care was named Devin) I will start with the immediate greeting from her. As soon as we walked in she said hello and made eye contact which I loved. I find some millennials to not comprehend this concept. The menu was amazing with lots of homemade choices. Devin made recommendations to both my husband and I where we were asking questions about the menu. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend trying the homemade hash. Our coffe was always filled and when Devin wasn't 100% sure of a question she had about our order she came over to confirm Instead assuming. If you are looking for a family type home made breakfast/lunch and love in the area this should be on your radar. Thank you Devin and whom ever the chef was. We will be returning. I'm only giving them 2 stars because there food is awesome! I love there steak tips! But 2 of my friends and i went there and no one left the waitress a cash tip, though there was a 10$ tip left a for the table on his card. So we were sitting in my vehicle when the waitress came out yelling at us saying that not tipping cash is illegal. So I'll probably never return read more

This wasn't the worst food I've ever had or the worst experience, but it was the angriest I've ever gotten at a restaurant. I had 30 minutes to get something to eat and I decided not to go to Domino's and give money to a chain so i went into Connie's. I ordered a Chef Salad at noon. There were 3 parties in there and they were all already eating. 10 minutes go by- I'm thinking, "I ordered lettuce with cold cuts. They are probably making it fresh sliced and really good." 15 minutes- My blood pressure starts rising. The waitresses are talking to each other, the cooks come out once in a while to look around. I GOT A SALAD. SOMEONE MAKE IT. I say something to the waitress, she says, "they are working on it right now." 20 minutes go by- you're kidding me. I'm furious. I have become the idiot for waiting, but I'm starving and I have to eat. 25 minutes and I have a below average salad. Get me out of here. read more

First time here, definitely the last. We were seated and given drinks immediately. However, it took over a half an hour for them to take our order. Pretty sure they forgot about us because a different waitress waited on us. No apologies for the length of time we waited. We literally saw people who arrived after us eat and get out the door before we even saw our plates. Our waitress never came to check on us or ask if we wanted are drinks refilled. The food was ehhh. I had walnut & cranberry pancakes and the walnuts tasted musky and the batter was tasteless. She did notice that I barely touched my food and offered me something else; which was a nice gesture, however they should have removed them from the bill. read more

My friend and I go to Connie's on a weekly basis so we're regulars. We generally get blueberry pancakes, Western omelets and corned beef hash. They are excellent! The waitstaff is very pleasant and attentive. The prices are more than reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. This is our favorite place for breakfast on the South Shore. read more

We loved Connies! They have a big selection, huge portions and low prices. We've been twice now and told ourselves we'd try something new but ended up getting the same things again because they were so good. My boyfriend loved his huge plate of blueberry pancakes and their iced coffee and I got your typical full breakfast with eggs, sausages, home fries, etc. We absolutely LOVED the sausages there. I'm Irish and Irish sausages are notoriously the best so I typically don't like American sausages and hold really high standards when I order them. Outside of Ireland, I can honestly say Connie's sausages are by FAR my favorite. Remind me of home! With a few other breakfast places in the area, we love Connies so much already we'll probably never try them. Service has it's ups and downs though, it's busy and the waitresses are older so the first time it seemed like we had good service, fast but not super friendly and the second time our food took a really long time, at least it was still warm though! It seems like it's hit or miss if you get someone friendly there. Unless you're really picky about that kind of stuff though, it's worth it for the food! read more

Food is great but there is one really unfriendly waitress. She sat a group of us (7 people) at two different tables. The tables were all the way at the end of the isle which allowed us to put the two tables together without it being in the way. She saw how we were, rolled her eyes, whispered something to some guy and then told us "my boss said you can't sit like that because it will be hard for me to serve the food". Then water dripped from the ceiling onto us, after we complained and asked to move she stated how it "wasn't her fault it rained last night." Hope to not see her again lol read more

my boyfriend took me here for breakfast one day. i was surprised because i've driven by the mini plaza that the restaurant is in plenty of times & never knew there was a gold mine there! it's an irish family owned & operated restaurant. i loved the atmosphere, our server was friendly & attentive even though she was busy. it's nice to go to restaurants like these rather than corporate owned places, like ihop, because you can see the whole family working together on a sunday morning; including the owner. there's old pictures on the walls & every booth was unique. i'd rather support local family businesses such as this one anyday. i ordered the most amazing french toast i've ever eaten ~ i don't remember the exact name but it was cinnamon french toast. i'm not the type of person to get the same thing when i return to a restaurant, but this will be my exception! if you haven't stopped into connie's yet, give it a try & they will exceed your expectations read more

I went to Connies last Sunday for the first time with a friend who lived in the area. The restaurant is very cozy and has a "home" feel to it which I enjoyed. We were seated by a younger tall girl who took our drink order. The waitresses seemed to know the customers and were all very friendly. Our waitress came over with our drinks and asked if we needed a few more minutes..I asked her a few questions and she was very friendly and gave me some great ideas so I could try alitle of everything. I decided on the Lumberjack with has eggs, sausage, bacon and pancakes. The meals were brought out pretty quick and smelled great. The pancakes were nice and fluffy the eggs were Over easy just as I asked. Everything was great! The other 2 waitresses kept making sure we always had our coffee filled which was very nice too. We received our bill when we were almost done with our meals but were told there was no rush at all. Both meals were very cheap! Great place & fgrest service!!!! read more

I go to Connie's Restaurant at least four times a week I find the food there to be very good their fried haddock is to die for and the ribs I can't get enough of if you haven't tried Connie's you don't know what your missing. My husband has tried everything that they make and he's a picky eater. We give Connie's a FIVE Rating and if the Rating was higher we give it. I've been to Connie's twice now with my boyfriend and once with my sister. The first time I got eggs and French toast, the toast was fine but the eggs... I asked for cheese on the eggs, melted and they came back with the cheese pretty much cold, like the rest of my meal. The second time I went my sausage was not cooked all the way, the toast they gave me was damp and soggy and was not what I asked for at all, and this time there was no cheese at all even though I made it clear I wanted it on there. I gave it to my dog and he wasn't impressed either and he eats out of my cats litter box. Waste of 15 dollars. Never going again. The home fries are nothing compared to cafe deli. read more

I usually go there for breakfast and was always great, however last two times for lunch was absolutely horrible. Had the same waitress who first time forgot to put in our order and took almost an hour to get our food. The second time she forgot we were even there and twice I had to go up to the counter to remind her that we were ready to order, needed another drink and when the food came it was cold after one half hour. I cannot believe there are no reviews of this place. It is the best breakfast place around. I'm from the South and feel as though I have come home due to the entire staff's friendliness and service. Thier breakfast is better than the Cross Roads Deli and even less expensive. I love Cross Roads but now go here. They apparently make their own sausage which I just love. Eggs done perfectly, and the hash browns are to die for (not greasy). They have home fries but I prefer the hb's. They are open till 3:00 each day except on Friday's when they are open til 9:00 I think. They are known for their fish and I gather packed on Friday nights. It is in a strip mall next to "Woody's. I had a little difficulty finding it at first. You have to pull in this strip mall parking lot and drive down to the far end of it to reach Connie's on the right side.
