What a fantastic gem. We were a bit nervous that we could not make reservations, but figured how busy could it be on a Wednesday night at 7:30? Place was hopping outside and both parking lots were full. We put our name in, had a drink at the outside bar and got our table about a half hour later in the treehouse. The kitchen closes at 9 so keep that in mind. We would defiantly go back hut midweek and around 730 again after the dinner rush starts to clear. Our waitress said there are long wait times on the weekend- but we saw many comfy chairs outside by the water where you could just chill and hang out while waiting. I have never written a negative review (or have ever asked to see a manger!) but it was our first time ever coming here and it was such a weird experience. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait for a table for 5 on the treehouse, we were happy to wait. We were watching our place in line in the virtual wait list and our wait time was decreasing. We saw smaller parties get sat before us but that totally makes sense when you have a bit bigger of a party. When we were at the top of the list (0 parties ahead of us), I checked in with the hostess who told me that there were 2 people overstaying their stay at the 5 top table they were going to seat us at and they estimate that party should be done shortly. Totally understand that that is not in their control. We watched multiple ( like more than 10) tables be sat after this, including a party of 5. After an hour went by we checked in again and the told us there was nothing they could do about the wait, the two people were still there taking up a 5 person table. There were multiple other 5 and 6 top tables open in our view on the patio but were told we couldn't sit there due to wait staff in that section being overwhelmed. So we said okay no problem. There was also no option of adding a chair to a 4 top table. When the wait time hit 1 hour and 45 mins, we went up again and they told us that if we wanted to we could try to find ourselves a table inside with another host. We decided to do this as they told essentially us there was no option for us to eat outside after we waited for almost 2 hours. When we got inside I requested to see the manager just to let her know of the situation as it was clear no other parties were waiting nearly as long as we did (we watched them turn over most of the treehouse section while we waited). The manager came over while the waitress was greeting us, I tried to make her aware of what the situation was but she didn't seem to share our concern. I have worked in restaurants myself, I totally understand that things happen especially on a busy night and we never gave the hosts a hard time in any way but this was blatantly unfair / poor service. What really bothered me was not so much that this happened but that no one seemed to care or was trying to do literally anything to accommodate us Including the manager. They seem to need help managing the outdoor sections. I don't know how long we would have waited if we didn't take it upon ourselves to be put on another list. I was super excited to try this place but I think I would avoid in the future. The food was just okay. I left with a bad taste in my mouth because of how we were treated. read more

The ambiance/vibe is very cool. We were shocked but intrigued when we saw another couple at the bar eating sushi here... We ordered the "spicy tuna tower" which was not as "tower-like" as we expected it to be, but it was delicious! It was the shape/texture of tuna tartare (which we love). Went there for my Birthday. Told there would be a wait. Restaurant area had at least 4 large seating areas open. They apparently will not break up the large ones for people already there. What a cool spot! I found this place while browsing Instagram. My husband and I live in Somerville, so it was about an hour drive away. When we arrived, we noticed various seating options and multiple bars. We sat in the treehouse portion. It had a great view! It's located right on the water where you can watch jet skis and boats. For food, we ordered steak and cheese egg rolls, chicken Caesar wrap with fries, and my husband ordered the turkey tips which came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. We enjoyed our food, and the ambiance was amazing! If we lived closer, we definitely would be frequent flyers, but we will still be back regardless! This is quite the site! You honestly don't see it coming, which makes the big reveal all that much more breathtaking! I saw this place advertised on Instagram, and immediately put it on my list of places to go this summer. And with nothing to do on a beautiful Sunday in New England this place was well worth the hour plus drive. Everything on their menu looks appetizing. It was honestly hard to choose one thing over the other. But we started with the margaritas flight and the seasonal beer flight. Asking for the better tequila made the flight better. We took my father in law here for an early dinner. We got drinks, appetizers and meals. It was delicious and reasonably priced for a party of 3! The Buffalo chicken dip appetizer was hearty and delicious. Lots of chicken with the right combo of Buffalo sauce and blue cheese. I had the Cobb salad and my husband the fish tacos. I arrived to Towne Tavern and Treehouse for my first time tonight after waiting two years to go to be completely disappointed!!! I was blatantly ignored at the hostess stand for a solid 10 minutes while employees talked amongst themselves. Once they took my number I informed the staff it was my first time there and had to ask them where I could wait. The staff was absolutely miserable, unprofessional just plain rude. I then went up in the treehouse to the bar to order a drink which was advertised as a special spicy margarita but it was a premixed cocktail in a plastic cup with a messy dripping rim which made a mess of my outfit and hands. I went back in to get some napkins and both dispensers were empty and the servers acted like it was an absolute chore to hand me a napkin the rudeness was unbearable.
