I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally did for a friends birthday. We had a reservation for a party of 8 at 6pm on a Saturday and didn't end up leaving until 8:15pm. Everything took an extremely long time. I'm not sure if it was the server or the overall establishment. Why did it take 45 minutes to receive a soup or salad? The environment wasn't bad overall but the service and food were just ok. My mom ordered a filet medium well and it came out over well done. I'm not sure why they would even serve a filet looking like that. It was disappointing. Someone else at the table had the corn casserole which came out cold so the server said she'd bring him a new one and it literally never came out. At the end of the meal, he reminded the server and she packed up a corn casserole to go. The desserts were better than the entrees! The coconut ice cream and strawberry shortcake were delicious. Overall our experience was not great so I'm not sure we'd be back. read more

Attended here for our company holiday lunch about 2 weeks ago and returned again for Happy Hour bar bites while family was in town. Both servers were very nice and made our experience a positive one. The restaurant is spacious and had a number of booths , tables and the bar area gives a nice upscale feel with a nice aesthetic. I got the grouper sandwich for lunch we tried the lobster dip which was a hit and the Brussel sport. Lunch portions are generous and I needed a to go box on both Visits. Lots of options from salads , salmon , prime rib and reasonably priced. The truffle fries were great and on the happy hour visit the star was espresso martini which is offered at $9 !! That never happens and it was well balanced of flavor whereby the drink was not overpowered with liquor. We tried the chocolate cake and it tasted like it was old and had been sitting for days. Connors Steakhouse offers a fabulous happy hour with great drink and food specials. Our go-to order is the **signature prime rib sliders**--perfectly cooked, tender meat with crispy onions and cheese on a warm roll. They really get the balance just right. My husband enjoys their wide variety of whiskeys, while I stick with the delicious martinis, which are always well made. The bar is usually pretty crowded, but in a good way, with lots of lively conversation and energy. The bartenders are attentive and friendly, even when it's busy. I'm giving four stars for now only because we haven't tried many of their other menu options yet--but based on our experiences so far, there's definitely room for this to become a five-star favorite. read more

To whom it may concern at Connors Steak & Seafood Alpharetta: I strongly suggest someone at the corporate level reviews what happened because the experience was shockingly below any acceptable standard especially for a group reservation of 20 people. Service was unbelievably slow, disorganized, and inattentive. Plates took so long to arrive we genuinely questioned if they forgot we existed. When the food finally came out, it was overly salty and poorly prepared. For a milestone event that should have felt celebratory, we instead spent the night frustrated and disappointed. We selected Connors expecting professionalism and quality. What we received was chaos, poor execution, and absolutely no sense of hospitality. This was a special evening we can never redo, and I regret choosing this restaurant. I will be sharing this feedback publicly and directly because guests booking special occasions deserve to know. To my audience: If you're looking for the perfect place to ruin the vibes of a once in a lifetime celebration, congratulations, you've found it. We hosted our rehearsal dinner here. A table of 20 and the service moved like they were aging the steaks in real time at the table. The food finally showed up and tasted like someone dropped it in a salt mine and said "good luck." From the moment we entered, service was excellent. We were seated quickly & without fuss though we had no reservation. It was a bit early so I don't know that it counts. Debra greeted us with warm courtesy and a welcoming smile. She treated us like guests in her home. My favourite? She didn't hover. The music was perfect for the environment... Sinatra and the best of the era. Modern, clean, (commercial) steakhouse decor. Whether it's a chain or not, they've got the formula down. We started with rich, generously seasoned devilled eggs topped with bacon. They were tasty but needed the bacon for the taste to work. They were great but we had to take some home to be able to eat our entrees. The Man ordered a bowl of chili. Again, it was ambitious but delicious. Our steaks were cooked to order. Pretty close to perfection, I have to say. (A medium NY Strip & a rare 6oz filet). I really enjoyed my experience at Connors! I had the filet mignon, with creamed spinach, and the raspberry cocktail which were all 10/10s. The interior is very classy and clean, and the service was great--our server was very sweet and attentive! Great date night out! Had a reservation on a Saturday evening and we were seated immediately. Service was quick and the food came out pretty quickly too. We started with the tuna appetizer which was ice cold and delicious. We both ordered steaks for dinner. I got the strip with the espresso rub. YUM. It also comes w a Demi glacé sauce but I liked it better with just the dry rub. Husband got the ribeye with the Boursin cheese/onion topping AND the mushrooms. Definitely make sure you have reservations if coming for dinner. They have seating at the bar but it's first come first serve. So waited about 30 mins for a seat. Our waiter Jerry was nice and helpful with suggestions. I had the Whiskey Burst for drink, although good, was not a lot to drink for the price of $14. I had the lobster crab bisque which was good but cold when it came out so it had to be warmed up which delayed eating. I had the 6 ounce filet mignon with a loaded baked potato. Wow! Last week had opportunity to dine at restaurant. This really is a delicious steakhouse and I was surprised by some of the mixed reviews. But you know, opinions are subjective so I'm giving my review on my first time dining here for a corporate lunch. First impressions of the interior design is that it's meaningfully decorated with warm tones, modern colors with beautiful chandeliers above. There is dim lighting, but not too dark where you cannot see the menu. The hostesses were very helpful and inviting when you enter the foyer. We had a reservation so our group of six was seated and we ordered a variety of items appetizers from the menu. We first ordered the lobster dip, shrimp voodoo and truffle deviled eggs which were all very flavorful. My favorite was the shrimp voodoo with just enough spice to dance on your palate. The warm bread butter rolls were a nice pre-dinner snack to pair with wine and appetizers. I had to limit myself because the rolls were addictive. Now for the main entrées, we are in a steakhouse so let's try the STAR of the restaurant. Our party ordered steaks and sides for mains. I had the ribeye steak and at the suggestion of our waiter Jayden added the espresso rub with demi-glace. I was presently surprised how that enhance the flavor of the steak with just enough subtle char flavor from the dusted espresso. Also, my steak was cooked to the perfect medium super juicy and flavorful. I could not eat it at all took it home later the next day it was still very juicy and good. I also had the baked potato and grilled asparagus for typical steak sides, but were very good. During the holidays they had specialty drinks so I tried the ember spice and it was tasty! Remind you of a grown-up apple cider spiked cocktail and it paired well with the richness of the steak. It's too bad I don't live in the area, but if I'm traveling in the area I will definitely have to enjoy that steak again! Wow, my old stomping grounds has added some very cool restaurants since I been gone. Last week I was in the area and drove past a sharp looking Steak and Seafood placed called Conners. After checking the reviews I decided to give them a try. A very nice atmosphere and I was impressed by the elegant motif and very cool modern style bar. Definitely try the Truffled Deviled Eggs. They were amazing. Truffle oil with fresh cilantro and a nice piece of brown sugar bacon. Yummers! The main was a 6oz Boursin Filet with homemade boursin, crispy tobacco onion rings and a loaded Baked potato. Truly amazing. The service was a little short and didn't match the rest of the experience but I'm definitely going back and checking out the seafood next time. read more

My boyfriend had just come a few weekends before on his birthday with a large group, he said his "Pittsburgh" steak was the best one he has ever had. So we came back for it! I really hate lambasting an establishment and rarely do so. Just look at my review history. But to be truthful, I've rarely had such a poor dining experience for the price. About a year ago, I left this place a 2 star review, mainly due to service. But I saw promise and decided to give it one more try. First, it's a beautiful restaurant but for some reason, they sat us by the kitchen even though it was only 1/3 full. But this is a minor point. The complimentary bread was hard as a brick. Either stale or reheated improperly. I should've complained, but it was free, and I wasn't there for the bread The fried mushroom appetizers were very good, and we were pleased with those. The Caesar Salad was okay. Definitely not high end steak house quality, just okay. I had the 6 oz. Filet, medium rare, with the Oscar enhancement. The steak temp was nearly perfect but both were 100% devoid of flavor. No sear, no char, no flavor whatsoever. On top of that, the loaded baked potato was lukewarm and undercooked. Basically, I ate less than half my entree, as did my friend. The final straw was the after dinner cappuccino we ordered. It was actually decent. We asked for sugar. It had been previously soaked and the staff decided to put it back in the holder anyway. Show a lack of concern for the restaurant by some of the staff. However, our waitress was decent. There are a ton of good restaurants in the Alpharetta area. Conners needs to get its act together. I still believe it has promise, but I won't give it another chance. And quite frankly, I don't have much hope it will survive long term. In fairness, I take part of the blame. I should have complained more. I just wanted a nice steak dinner without drama. My friend said it best: we could have gone to Outback Steakhouse. The steak would have had flavor, the potato would have been cooked, and we'd have spent half the price. Well said. read more

Amazing food I highly recommend the fush & chips plus the voodoo shrimp. Yum! Everything was hot and fresh from the fryser. Had the asparagus in the side and rolls with a whipped herb butter. Lots to talk about here. Don't know what cut of steak to select. They gave on display across from the hostess podium. The service is quick and proficient. All your sauces individually packaged. Unfortunately, this one fell short of what I was hoping. Went for Mother's Day lunch. First, was not presented the lunch menu, had to ask. Felt like that was trying to push the more expensive dinner menu since it was a holiday and people wouldn't notice. Could be wrong, and they did provide once asked. Prices were OK, kind of mid-tier steakhouse. But service was slow, straw wrappers and empty bread baskets were left on the table. We all had water and they left a carafe on the table which was nice, but it was sweating everywhere dripping into my lap, making a huge mess. This table of 6 adults looked like a bunch of kids sat there because nothing was cleared and there was water everywhere. Food was hit or miss it seems. I had the prime rib sandwich. Literally a slab of lightly seasoned but properly medium rare beef slapped on a bun with a side of horseradish sauce. Daily "special" felt kind of an afterthought. My wife had the lunch shrimp skewer which was literally 4 shrimp. 4. Not even an appetizer portion. She said they did taste good and the brussels as a side were good. Others said there's was "fine." So nothing to complain about but no one was raving about the food afterwards. Overall, it wasn't something that was horrible or I'd never step foot again. Just felt like the service and food was a step below what they are going for and the price point. I'd give it a second chance if I was over there for some reason, but certainly not a destination spot for me. read more

Went to Connor's to celebrate my wife's birthday. We both had Filet Mignon with baked potato and another side. When the bill came the entrees were priced about $20 higher than listed on the menu. Given that this was a birthday celebration I did not want to cause a conflict so I just let it go. Connors is typically a nice place to go, the service is great but I can't overlook the apparent deception on the price of the entree. Probably won't go back though... UPDATE: A Connors manager contacted me regarding this issue and have gone above and beyond with a correction to the bill my wife and I received. As this was the only issue we experienced during an otherwise, and typical, excellent dining experience, I am satisfied that this instance was only a communication issue and not a normal aspect of the operation of this business (my wife doesn't want to go anywhere else). If you are interested in an excellent steak and great service, I do recommend Connors to anyone. read more

This was the 3rd time trying out Connors Steak and Seafood. It will be the last. I ordered two 7 oz sirloin steaks, one with Mac and cheese, and one with roasted Brussels Sprouts. $48.00 plus tax, tip and service fee for delivery. Making it almost a $60.00 meal for 2. The food went straight into the trash. It wasn't edible in any sense of the word. The steaks were bone dry, had too much seasoning. The bread was stale, and the mac & cheese was chalky. The "Roasted Brussels sprouts" smelled terrible and looked even worse, like they were just taken out of the fires of hell! We had to take the trash outside because the smell of this meal was taking over my kitchen. Don't waste your money. read more

When we visit family in TN we sometimes visit Connor's in Franklin. Our daughter and family gave us a gift card and we used it for my husband's birthday last Saturday. We were a bit early for our reservation but there was availability so we were seated immediately. Our server was Jessica. The steaks were the same superb quality as the Franklin restaurant! My husband had a NY Strip. I had the small filet mignon. Truthfully, we could have cut our steaks with a fork! They were cooked exactly as we specified. We were treated to strawberry shortcake for the birthday boy. Not exactly sure how much he got of it (lol)! Jessica took great care of us. She was exactly the right amount of attentiveness. I've been meaning to get to Conner's for a minute now. Last night was that minute. The restaurant is very modern, lots of sleek lines. Nice bar, several different areas to the dining room, which is great for atmosphere. We were seated in a booth across from the bar by a very nice hostess, and then proceeded to wait look over the menu while we waited on our server. Wait we did. The young lady who served us looked extremely busy, yet nobody else came to greet us or offer us a beverage or anything. Being in hospitality myself this is a major strike. So many white coats in the building, so where's the teamwork? In any case, we ordered cocktails, which came about 15 minutes after we ordered them, and ordered the NY strip special they were running. The food is decent. It's not Frankie's or Marcel or even Meadow, but the execution was alright. Steaks cooked to temp, loaded potato exactly as described but we weren't Wow'd. The food was just...there. The steak had some flavor but the sauce it came with on the side helped it. We're talking about an espresso-rubbed steak here. The sad thing is I could have stayed home and made this meal. We passed in dessert, grabbed the check, and went about our merry way. I'm not going to knock the server, she was sweet as could be, but I felt bad for her. We didn't see a lot of support, and absolutely zero manager presence. Every steak house has at least two managers roaming the floor. If Conner's had one working the room, we absolutely missed him/her. On a slower week night in the middle of summer there were a lot of missed opportunities to make it an epic evening. Would I go back? For lunch possibly. Ambiance was modern, sleek, just beautiful and it's new to the area. Honestly it's a hidden gem if you haven't been yet. The menu is extensive and there's something for everyone, I'm sure. I look forward to coming here again and again. Also, management came by to see how we were enjoying our meal, and I always appreciate that. 2nd visit was worse than the first. Over cooked burned pork tenderloin was awful and these were the worst sautéed mushrooms I have ever gotten at a restaurant. They had absolutely no taste. I cannot believe a chef would send a plate out like this that was visibly burnt! My husband and I had a previous experience here that wasn't great but we enjoyed our food so wanted to give it another chance. This meal was such a disappointment we probably won't be back. We picked Connor's to celebrate my birthday and my friends birthday last weekend. When we were seated there was a signed birthday card on the table which I thought was a very nice touch to start the celebration off right. The restaurant is very nice and has a great menu selection with a variety of choices for everyone including seafood, steak, chicken, pork tenderloin, salads and more. I loved my pork tenderloin with the Asiago spinach and the wedge salad was chilled and delicious. My husband loved his crab cakes and Mac and cheese but the broccoli was served as a huge stalk of broccoli which I have never seen before in a nice restaurant. I would recommend cutting it down for better presentation. The seafood tower was a show stopper and my friend and her brother enjoyed it as they love crab and oysters. The disappointment came as we were wanting to enjoy a dessert to celebrate and the waiter had already boxed up our food and didn't mention dessert at all. My friend's brother asked if we could see a dessert menu and the waiter then said I have something for you and I'm going to bring it out. We thought that was nice as it's been customary to get a complimentary dessert for a special occasion in a nice restaurant. Imagine our surprise when we got home and realized we had been charged for both desserts! We weren't even given the option of what to order if we were paying for it so it was even more disappointing to see that after our bill was over $400. As good as the food was I would not be able to recommend this for a special occasion. Go to Pampas where you are always made to feel special on your birthday. Bar woman came to get our drinks and orders...she was rushing us through our order..I asked the seared fish be well done..she loudly said 'we can't do that'. This visits started out great. We didn't have a reservation and they were able to seat us within 5-7 minutes. However, our order was taken and then we weren't offered any bread until 30 minutes later. We were sitting with waters for 30 minutes before our server even asked if we wanted bread. We each had a salad or soup ordered and that didn't come out until 40 minutes later followed by entrees 10 min after- 50 minutes later. For the record our meal tasted good. I had the New York strip and my husband had the filet Oscar style. The lobster bisque was good as well. For being a steakhouse, you would think that the service would be more efficient and timely. 40 mins for an appetizer isn't a good experience. read more
