AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I purchased a couch and love seat set from Conn's. Complete garbage - made LITERALLY out of cardboard. The entire bottom fell out of the love seat - impossible to sit on - and the couch is close behind for the same failure. I filed a claim under the warranty and they sent someone out to look at it. He said it wasn't repairable so they would have to replace. Said Conn's would get back to me in a few days No response for a couple of weeks so I called them. After 45 minutes on the phone I was told the claim was DENIED! I paid thousands of dollars for couches that are literally falling apart and they denied the claim without explanation. So I said I wanted to appeal the decision. I was then put into a circular round of hell going from one person, then on hold for 30-40 minutes, then the next person transfers me, another lengthy hold, just to end up right back with the first person. THEN THEY PUT ME INTO THE CIRCLE AGAIN - same result. Back to an employee with no ability to make resolution and I wasted days on the phone to no avail. This company is THE WORST! We are stuck with lousy couches that we can't use and trying to get Conn's to do the right thing is a pointless waste of time. Please don't waste precious money or time dealing with these people. From the moment we walked in the door, I could tell this would be a great experience. My girlfriend and I were searching for a mattress and decided to stop at Conns to see what was available. The salesmen Myo Min San was extremely helpful. Not pushy at all and made us feel right at home. After finding the right bed, Marty let us relax on the massage couch which my girlfriend and I found very relaxing. I'll be coming here for any future furniture purchases. Thanks you two! read more

The service department at Cons came to my home five times to repair a refrigerator and they ordered the wrong parts two times. I was without a refrigerator for 7 1/2 weeks! Not fun at all! I received our new refrigerator and they dented it and scraped it when they installed it, water did not work. They wouldn't refund my money only give store credit. Today eight weeks later I have a new refrigerator. I had to pay $500 more to get a different brand and a different refrigerator but it finally works! Corporate has so many rules and it takes a long time and a lot of patience to get what you need. Not an easy company to work with and they don't tell you everything up front like needing a separate service department to actually set up the fridge after installing. Our furniture was in stock, then it wasn't, then they had one available- oh wait, no- just a display. Everyone you talk to blames everyone else for lying- sales, managers, warehouse, delivery. No one will take responsibility; blaming one another makes the whole company look bad all the while not helping out the customer. Then when I got told I was lying about being told there would be a 10% discount for having to settle for a display, I had about had it. I went to buy a refrigerator. Two employees standing at the desk as my crew and I walked in, they saw us come in and did not say a word. A family of four adults and each one of us spread out, looking around. We spent 25 min. looking and checking out the many different types of refrigerators and seeing who liked what, we decided what kind we wanted. Not once did eighter employee acknowledge any of us. All four of us decided to just stand and look at the two employees as they now played on a phone. They glanced up at us and continued to mess with the phone. We walked out, I was the third person in my party to walk out and I heard one of the employees yell to us, "Can I help you." I did yell back to them, "TOO LATE!" POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am completed disgusted by this store. I spent $695.00 dollars for a new washer which was delivered and installed. I then decided that I would like to have the pedestal and called to purchase over the phone. Keep in mind that I was calling from the number they had on file and using the same credit card but they would not accommodate me unless I came into the store. I let them know that my foot was broken and I am scheduled for surgery this week but they still would not help me. My invoice for the washer clearly stated that the return policy was attached to my receipt which it was not. I asked Zack what the return policy was and he stated that there was a 15% restocking fee for merchandise return. If I had known that I would never have done business with them. After speaking with Zack the Assistant Manager, I still received no assistance. I let him know that I would inform friends, coworkers and family not to shop at the store and he stated that I should not do that because it is their policy. Not my problem. I bought a chest of drawers here about a month ago and picked it up at the warehouse. They tell you to inspect your furniture before you leave but there is no opportunity to do so as it came in a box. When I unpackaged it, the top was covered in a bunch of deep scratches. They delivered our $2000 oven and had my 14 year old son sign for it and left. They didn't even give us the heads up call saying they were in their way!!!! We looked at it and there's a crack in the door. Corporate will not replace. So frustrating. It was delivered broken and they won't fix it. Im considering legal routes at this point. They're so nice at first, Telling you all the discounts and we will refund your tax after and then give you the run around until the time expires. Then after months of fighting with them we still never received anything back. Then we went back and they say we have to talk to corporate and that was a joke. I would not recommend this Conn's or any other Conn's. I purchased a washer/dryer from them on 7/4. It did not work from the get-go; after several attempts at repair, they decided to replace it. They couldn't do a replacement over the phone, so I had to visit the store again. Upon entry, I was immediately asked "who sent me?" because "this is the 3rd replacement today", as if I was in on some scam or joke. The manager, Mike, has zero customer service skills and blamed everything he couldn't do - such as not charge me for a new warranty on a product that never worked right from delivery or the return of hardware they sold me that I didn't need - on corporate. No one asked me when I would be home for delivery - all the paperwork was processed with the assumption I was free the next day. I called corporate to issue a complaint. While they listened and were overall very courteous, they refused to issue me a complimentary warranty. When I asked how much one was they couldn't even tell me and referred me...get this...back to the store. Yes, seriously. On another note, every time I've had service from them of any kind, I get a phone call early in the AM - around 6 - about my recent service transaction. When I answer, no one is there. When I call back, it clearly states it's Conn's, and then disconnects. I'll take my business elsewhere from now on - I encourage anyone who likes their money to do the same. read more

My husband and I made several recent large ticket item purchases from this location. Our salesman, Douglas Cooper, was very professional and honest. He explained everything in our contract(s), went over the paperwork with us and he checked it over several times to make sure everything was signed and dated. He is very thorough, something I really appreciated. He is friendly and accommodating. The first purchase we made was a LG stainless steel french door refrigerator with an ice maker inside the door. The second purchase we made was for a LG stainless steel range with both cooking options (convection and regular) with the oven and an LG stainless steel over the range microwave. We also bought a 4K Samsung DVD player and Monster Cable for the DVD player. The delivery they offer is white glove-free and we paid extra for the microwave to be installed. The manager of this store is very kind as are all of the employees we encountered. The store is very large, well lit and clean. They have everything from appliances both large and small to furniture, electronics, grills, and patio furniture. I have been a customer of Conn's since 2012 prior to their arrival in the valley. I drove to Tucson before they had stores here in the Phoenix metro area to make a purchase. I can't say enough good things about this business and its employees. I have also been to two other locations: Metro Center and the Thomas Rd locations. They offer a convenient way to pay our bill online and to apply for credit from the comfort of our home. I highly recommend stopping in to the Talking Stick location just off the Loop 101 and say Hello to Douglas Cooper. read more

Could I have a worse experience with any company. Amazingly no. Bought a washer/dryer combination unit by Frigidaire. The unit did not work properly from the beginning. After months of service calls and attempted repairs that did not work, Conn's finally decided to issue a store credit replace the unit. Insane as it seems, Conn's wanted to replace the unit with another of the same. After all the bad experience, they wanted me to take the same brand and model number. After numerous discussions, really arguments, a credit was issued and I was allowed to select another brand. I went with a more expensive stackable washer and dryer. The units were on sale and the transaction agreed. However, by the time the received approval on the credit, the units were no longer on sale and now $310.00 more each. No problem, stated the sales person, the units will go back on sale and we will credit you the difference back. He further left me a VM stating the same. I do have that recording. By now it has been 10 months since the original purchase. 10 months of a malfunctioning washer and dryer. So I agreed. The units went back on sale and when I called the store, they informed me I would have to call corporate to get the refund. Each time I call corporate they need to create a new ticket and look into the matter. after weeks of pursuit they inform that a credit will be issued. I wait for my credit card statement and when received, no refund! So I call back and start the process all over. Now this has been going on since August. Finally they did issue a credit for one of the units but refused on the other and the amount was wrong. Of course the sales person agreed on what he had said so but could do nothing about it. So I battled again with corporate. Creating a new ticket and another 45 minutes on the phone. I also filed a complaint with Visa. Then I receive a call from Conn's that they will be issuing a credit. My next statement comes in and they did NOT refund the any amount. So I call back. Again, we need to issue another ticket and forward for approval. Today a new ticket was created and the matter submitted for another approval. I really hate Conn's and hope that no one ever makes a purchase with them. Craig read more

Don't ever buy furniture here. If the devil disguised itself as a furniture company it would be Conn's. Don't buy their warranty. Don't talk to a sales person. Don't even look at the bright red sign. The sales people will tell you ANYTHING to get you to buy their furniture. Only to have corporate "service" send a 3rd party contractor to deem your furniture warranty "not accidental" and not cover it. Then refuse to give your legal right request to a copy of the warranty when asked. I've bought a total of 7000 dollars worth of furniture only to have it fall apart a year later. Concaving in the cushion and very foundation of my sectional. Pet stains that the sales people assured me would be covered. (Because any dog Mom considers this when buying furniture) Normal wear and tear of my dining set from.... well, dinner! They'll use the phrase that the damages were "accumulated" to deny responsibilities of their coverage. News flash... it's furniture of course it's accumulated... it's life. For Christmas this year I wanted to get my son a gaming computer this year which was not in the budget so I found conns had just the one we were looking for with a wonderful payment plan of 12months no interest. This is great! We left a location in Phoenix which I will do a separate review for do to terrible customer service by the manager and came to this location where at first we were attacked the second we walked in the door by an associate that was pushy and aggressive. We went to show him something on our phone and he snatched it out of our hands. At this point we had asked if we could just see the manager. Vicki then came over and was more then helpful, kind, and respectful. She apologized for the ride service from the associate prior and made it right. Left with a great deal and great service thanks to vicki. If you're ever in a place where you need something but may not be able to cover it right away I suggest seeing Vicki at this location.. she is the ONLY reason we stayed and went with this company. Thank you Vicki for being so kind and making it right for us! I give it 3 stars do to the first person helping us and how rude and extra pushy he was right after leaving another location for this same kind of service. Let me just say our sales associate Brian was great we were able to get everything we wanted and he even moved some pricing around and pulled some strings so we left the store super happy. When our delivery date came and went without a delivery or even word we called in and were told that we were missing one piece and that it would be delivered the following Monday. So that came and went without a words so WE phoned them to find out what happened, and basically were told, "no idea who told you that. it'll be in this Monday." Okay day off again delivery date came and went. Called again to find out oh no no no we would be getting on Monday and you will get it on Wednesday!" So another day off work and delivery came and went.. WE called them to find out no nothing scheduled today.. we can get it to you tomorrow maybe.. and then he hung up on me. Then spent thirty minutes calling back in and being passed around being told different reasons why we hadn't gotten delivery. Including someone calling my wife's phone and telling her why we hadn't gotten anything. Then after explaining I couldn't take a third day off in the same week, he explained well we can just leave it at the door.. the entire living room set at the front door... sure.. he realized that wouldn't be the best idea and then told me tomorrow for sure no problem. Then someone called back saying well maybe not tomorrow we should be able to let you know by tonight whether for sure or not. So we've had a month of no furniture (got rid of ours because it was coming the next day originally!) Been told a million different things, hung up on, and basically been left to do all the scheduling ourselves since they can't seem to be bothered. TL;DR: Excellent sales associate, horrific customer service and delivery scheduling. Conn's service/repair facility is horrible to deal with and the salesman that sold us an extended warranty for a laptop lied about having to send a defective item in for service. Terrible customer service. We purchased an LG appliance package (dishwasher,refrigerator,range, and microwave) and spent close to $6000. I asked for the extended service warranty on ALL appliances at the recommendation of the salesman. He was very inexperienced and had difficulty with the software in finalizing the sale. To make a long story short, he neglected to add the service warranty to the dishwasher. Well, 4 months later, guess which appliance breaks? Of course the dishwasher! I called Conn's customer service to schedule repairs and they tell me that there's no service warranty so I'll have to pay $90 just to have them come out. I went back to the store to speak with the manager about their error in not adding the service warranty onto the dishwasher. The customer service rep was very rude and I asked to speak with a manager. The SAME manager that helped with my sale came out to talk to me but instead of confessing that he and his inexperienced employee made a mistake, he tried to play good cop/bad cop saying his hands are tied because as a company Conn's isn't going to add a service warranty 4 months after the initial sale. He didn't even TRY to help. He was shrugging his shoulders and was stepping backwards as he spoke meaning that he basically didn't care and wasn't going to go out of his way to correct his error. I've had the worst experience purchasing an dishwasher. I picked up the dishwasher at the west Phoenix warehouse location. When I opened the box I realized the undercarriage of the appliance had been crushed and is broken. The door of the appliane won't open and is therefore, unusable. I returned to the Scottsdale location and was told by the store manager that since 24-hours has passed since the purchase I could no longer get a replacement. I bought the item on Thursday and planned on installing on Sunday. Extremely poor customer service and they don't stand behind their product. Great service, no sales pressure from Mike or Karen on buying a mattress. I would suggest looking over fine print with any financing as they charge me insurance for box springs when I only asked for insurance on the mattress. The paperwork was lengthy yet easily corrected when you are at the store. Sales tax is lower here as oppose to tempe or other phoenix so it makes a difference on larger purchase items. Warranty is only good for mechanism that needs to be replaced, to lift legs and maybe foam to restuff leg rests and back, they will not cover the discoloration of the arm rest seat or corners of the wedge. Butt when I call the Tech number I am given to a customer service dept. who then tries to do every thing to keep me from getting to a tech of which I paid $500 for a one year warranty! I explained to the CSR my issue and she first tried to relate to another issue I had in Feb that was unrelated to my current issue. Then when I explained my current issue (screen going solid green when I played videos) that I needed to bring my PC into the store and could not fix remotely. I almost begged her to let me talk to a tech who then was able to fix my issue remotely. I called the manager to complain and she (Marilyn Hernandez) did not take my call. I left her two voice messages and she never returned my calls. I will NEVER buy anything from Conn's again and advise any potential customers to take heed of this review. What the sales staff promises and what actually takes place are not the same!! Better to go to a reputable company ( like Best Buy) than deal with this store again. My sister and I went in to get appliances for her kitchen that is currently being remodeled. We got helped out by Greg which by the way he is the sweetest man and was a A LOT of help and it is not his fault the store is ran so poorly. First of all they guarantee the lowest prices (which is a lie). We purchased a stove, microwave and dishwasher. The microwave was the one on display they didn't offer the smallest discount for taking it (we asked for one) luckily we were able to price match another store. We then found the exact same stove at Home Depot for $300 less. They did not want to price match because it was not on the weekly ad (but it's advertised on the website) we asked about the return policy and they charge $216 to return (never explained) even if the stove has not been touched, still in the package and not moved from where they dropped it off. After multiple phone calls to the store they finally worked with us. It's our first time purchasing at Conn's and I just want to advise any other first time buyer. read more

Avoid this company! They work on commission And will tell you anything to make a sale!! The worst place EVER!! After a long remodel process for my kitchen, my dishwasher was finally installed. After using the dishwasher, I realized that it has a pretty serious leak in the door. There is a constant drip which is coming from the bottom of the door. I called the 1800 number for Samsung (the manufacturer). They told me that I need to contact the company where I purchased the appliance. I went into Conns and the first thing they asked was if I had purchased an extended warranty. Well I didn't. They said that that they could not help me and that I need to call the manufacturer. The fact is the appliance was less then one year old and was only used a few times. Anyway..I was given the run around and they said they there is nothing they can do. They didn't even offer to call the manufacturer or give me any advice on what I should do to fix this problem. It was like "tough luck" see ya! Anyway. I would suggest going elsewhere. This company has no customer service skills and they don't deserve my business or anyone else's ! Maybe consider Home Depot. I have never had an issue with them read more

I wish they offered -1 star!!! Waited over a month for our entire living room furniture set to be delivered, but only got the run around. First the manager who sold us the furniture stated it would be in stock in 5-7 days. We were fine with that as we wanted to have our carpets cleaned and such while the old furniture was out of the way, and we told him a saturday delivery would be best for our schedules (12 days after purchase), which gave them plenty of time to have receive the furniture into their warehouse. The day before the expected delivery of Jeff (Asst. Manager) called us to let us know that the furniture was still not in and that they could not deliver tomorrow as promised, but that the shipping invoice stated it was to be in their warehouse on Wednesday so next Saturday would be fine for delivery. A little hesitant I agree to exend it another week. The following Friday I called to find out what time they were going to delivering our furniture. The salesman put me on hold for 10 minutes, before finally transfering to Mike (the store GM) since Jeff is now on maternity leave. Mike then told me the furniture was still not in but he could see it was going to be in on Monday. I told them that was really unhappy about the situation and that we sold our other furniture to get ready for the new furniture to be delivered and that we were having a large party at our home and needed it ASAP. He said no problem, he would have it there Tuesday, to which I insisted it be after 4pm, since they deliver until 8pm, and to not disrupt our work schedule for their mistakes. So Monday arrives and no call confirming delivery, so I again call the store to confirm they will be delivering the next day after 4pm. Of course Mike wasn't there so I spoke with Michael (3rd Asst. Manager/Fill-in for Jeff) only to be informed they still don't have the furniture and won't any time soon. He asked if he could research a bit more and get back to me, which he did to say he was working on a solution and that he could probably have it delivered to my home Wednesday evening, plus he'd be willing to give us a discount for all the inconveinence. This calmed be down abit, until now!! I called the store on Tuesday to make sure we were on track for delivery, but guess what, now they were going to try to substitute the missing piece with a floor model, but the district manager said no. Which was fine with me as I want the new furniture set I purchased, not the floor model. And of course Michael is off today, even though he promised to call me by 1pm to confirm delivery and the discount he was going to provide us. I talked to 2 different people both knowing nothing of my situation, before telling me Mike the GM was with someone else and would get back with me when he gets a chance. I have now requested for them to just keep all their furniture and return any money they have already charged me. If a $6500 sales doesn't mean anything to them, I can spend my money somewhere else, where I can get the service I deserve and expect. Not the run around and frustration they provide!!! These people in the customer service department do not have their act together, they took out 2 payments on my account and the only way for them to refund you is by paper check! Frankly when you purchase something from a store that never worked, they should return it. I was "Conn-ed" in believing that stand behind their products they sell. Where do I start? Both managers at this location Matthew and Hank are liars! I have spoke with them multiple times about getting a price match on a second refrigerator that I have bought from them. Within an hour of buying the refrigerator I was at Lowe's and saw they have exact same refrigerator for $70 less and free home delivery, I spoke with Hank The manager and he said do you have an ad I said no I am in the store and it is on their website. I said I can cancel that refrigerator with you if you can match it he said no problem I should be able to match that easily. I have now called four times because I was told they would call me back within the hour once the price match has been completed. It is now a week later and still no response. Matthew the other manager says he does not know how to process a price match. He is the manager for more than six months and he says he's not able to handle it. All this has happened after my first $2700 refrigerator from them broke after four months of ownership, it has not been 15 days since it has broken and they still have not come out to fix it.
