We have been in and out of the Talking Stick location for the last four years, working on renovations to our home. But I have to take the time to compliment the pro desk. Johnny and Bob are exceptional. They are proactive, go out of their way, and are very knowledgeable to make sure you have everything you need before we leave. I enjoy seeing Bob each time. I like that employees go out of their way to approach us when we are there. I would also like to compliment the nursery on the variety of plants, the quality, and especially the price. The biggest downside is that there's only a cashier with no knowledge of plants, and no one on the floor proactively asks if you need help or have any questions. I have a huge criticism of their website. There is no easy way to click a link to review an employee. They have a whole section that explains how to write a review. I had to go to Yelp to get it done. I probably would have given up if it were not for how much I value a good employee. Recognition is so important and rarely received. read more

I did an online order for pickup - they were nice and it had everything. I ordered a couple of things that came in sets (gardening tools) because the set of three was about a dollar cheaper than ordering them all separate separately, but I needed two additional sets as projects. There's a gentleman with shoulder length hair named James who I believe is a department supervisor of some kind. I've been shopping at Home Depots nonstop since 1992 and I just cannot recall the last time somebody went as far out of their way as he did to help me with something... I felt like I had to let people know about it... Thank you, James for going above and beyond to help me, especially with something that one could consider as trivial as my the problem I had.. but you didn't hesitate to ask me if there was something that you could help me with when you saw me wandering around looking like a lost puppy-and when I mentioned my silly little problem, you dropped everything and literally walked all the way across the store to the other side, just to try to help me, and it worked didn't it... Home Depot at 9170 E Talking Stick Way Scottsdale, AZ 85250. #457 Yesterday, November 7 after a long break from performing any repairs, I needed to return to the store with several tasks to have resolved and was amazed how I was greeted by every Associate I came across. As usually, Terry from the Painting department provided me with all help even it was not in his department and regardless of spending long days on his feet, he ran me to other places for the items I had difficulty finding. He has not changed a bit from my visit quite a while ago remaining very enthusiastic and cheerful. Ms. Maureen, the Angel of Joy and lightness came to help at the Garden department and then I saw her and heard her melodic voice talking to other Customers in a very friendly manner at all times. Ms. Shari as many years ago, came promptly to help in the Lighting department. After walking throughout the whole store and still having a couple of unresolved items left, I finally approached the Check-out and Larry summoned help calling to the Pro-shop and the Lumber department, where Mason, a very good natured, confident in his area of work and collected young man has resolved my request in the matter of several minutes. And Finally, Ms. Tabitha finalized my visit packing some of my fragile purchases very cautiously and bidding warm goodbyes. It really felt as if I returned to the family, everybody remembering me and greeting in a so warm and cordial manner and really helping very efficiently in comparison to some other places. I feel gratitude to every single one of them for their sincere desire to help and even taking me from their department to the place where I could more likely to find what I am looking for. My previous visits several years ago have left very warm feelings towards the Associates of this particular location. God Bless Terry at the Painting Department with his easy and light take off with my request each time I come and offering the best options and they always perfectly worked and matched to my home settings. Shari at the Lighting Department would be very thorough in looking for the particular items I come requesting each time. Rob, David, and an Associate from the Pro-Shop Department whose name I failed to memorize correctly and it was either Melvin / Murphy starting with letter M, but not Mike, my deepest apologies for forgetting the name. The experience of visiting that store at the Talking Stick Way in Scottsdale has been precious to me. I am greatly appreciative. I love you all and I am grateful to you.! This is nothing against the employees at Home Depot. They have always been incredible to me and very helpful. The man in appliances is the nicest and so helpful too! 7 years ago I bought an entire kitchen of new stainless appliances. I got the best they had, unfortunately they do not have their own delivery service and the folks that they contract with were just ridiculous . 3 failed deliveries, I called was promised a date and stood up! Finally on the 3rd miss when I talked to the warehouse he said I'm going to cancel your order. And he did. OK 7 years later my microwave died (don't buy GE) I thought things must have gotten better and bought a replacement over the stove microwave (over $500 with installation and haul away the old etc.) I had a delivery date and no call, finally I called the warehouse and got a nice lady on the phone (definitely an improvement) she said no my microwave wasn't there, no delivery for me. I give up with these guys. It's not the employees fault BUT Home Depot should have delivery down. Still after 7 years nope they don't. There's something about going into a store and being struck by all the security measures. We had been shopping for some new lighting and came here after visiting nearby Lamps Plus. It's your typical Home Depot, except this one has over 18 overhead Las Vegas style security cameras. I didn't realized that this part of Indian Bend was such a high crime area. Since we couldn't find what we were looking for, we made additional stops at Lowe's and Home Depot up near Northsight and Frank Lloyd Wright. Neither of these two stores had the obvious cameras as you came in, but did have some well placed throughout the store. Now put down that phillips screwdriver and step back and no one will be hurt! I recently purchased a Milwaukee multi tool set from Home Depot. I was super excited about the purchase as I returned back to my house. As I opened the set, I inspected the tools and batteries. I headed back to the store with my finger crossed in hopes of a smooth transaction. I went to the customer service area and explained my problem. I then headed over to the tool department where I met Sid. Sid has always been a pleasure to work with each and every time I have needed assistance. I was then directed to a gentlemen named Danny. Do not order appliances here if you actually want appliances. Look, I know everywhere is having shortages, especially on freezers. But I purchased a dishwasher and oven back in June, and still don't have them. I think I am now on my 6th delivery date. At one point, I even had to purchase a different, more expensive oven as I was told (2-3 months after purchase) the other was no longer available, ever. Well apparently this one isn't either. My newest delivery date is November 20th. More than 5 months after purchase, and has Home Depot tried to make any amends? Nope, they just sit on my cash using it while I have nothing. I was in the store on Sunday, and it was obvious they were understaffed. I asked him to help me with some bags of stone, that I was unable to lift. He not only got the cart, loaded the stone onto the cart, then took it to my car and loaded it. I tried to tip him, but he explained it's against HD policy, and against his morals if he were to take it. Update. I was told 5 weeks after ordering the shed that it had been lost. Misdelivered and the people put it together and couldn't be retrieved. So I was being sent a new one. A week later I contacted again saying I have not heard anything about my shed. Oh, it's been shipped and I should hear from the carrier soon. Almost two weeks go by, no word. I contact them again. There was never another shed shipped and they don't do that. Home Depot tells me they have to cancel the order and I can place a new one. Only way I'll get my shed from them. The rep's reason was it came from another vendor. As if that makes it ok. So I told him fine, refund my money that should have been refunded weeks before... now should I trust them again with my $2k? I am not a big home improvement person but I do frequently need different types of cleaning supplies and bulbs. Usually smaller purchases. The staff at this store is incredible and always very kind and knowledgeable on telling me where to find stuff in the store. The registers go fairly quick to and look very modern. I will be back in the future I usually come every 4 months or so and it's simple every time. One thing to not is the parking lot is big but the driving out of it area seems a little too narrow. read more

Rudest employees I've ever encountered. Even walking in was an issue. Dude was standing directly in the middle of the entrance, so I stop, waiting for him to move. "How can we help?" He says...by letting me walk in dude, have your conversations off to the side and be aware of your surroundings. I can't tell if they just don't like young people or if everyone just has a terrible attitude, but other than the employee "blocking" my entrance I had none of the maybe 10 employees I made eye contact with ask me if I needed help, or acknowledge me.
