Disappointed with the food quality on my recent order. The BBQ Chicken Pizza was way too saucy and lacked toppings, while the Kids Mac & Cheese was the opposite--dry and low on sauce. So I realized that I hadn't reviewed this place when I went there 10 years ago so I did so now (lots of good places to go in Norwood and this one is on the pricier side) When I went 10 years ago the steak tips were the best I've ever had, now they were just good. Everyone loved their dishes especially the clam chowder, however the fried pickles or the spinach artichoke dish weren't perfect. They were good, just not ones where I would say to someone you have to get them. Nice quiet atmosphere, plenty of parking with their own lot and a separate room for functions. Service was great and brought me a refill without having to call the waitress over and even remembered no ice I ask for which at many places is just ignored. It used to be a 5 star place for me, now it's a 4 star. Still a recommended place to go, just not the steak tips it used to have. Update: (response to the owner comment that I don't know how else to respond to). What is needed is to start having the old steak tips again. I had read comments from people on next door that the steak tips here were not as good as they used to be, so whatever they changed, they need to change back. The atmosphere is decent but unfortunately the service was a bit off. Waitress was really nice but seemed really busy and forgot to come back with an answer to a food related question. Busser seemed distracted, came over to "drop" off small plates and they happened to be dirty. Also he wasn't aware aware of a missing part of the order. I ordered the broiled haddock and it wasn't that great, wasn't much flavor and I tasted too much oil. Sat at bar and the take out phone rings constantly. It would be nice if it would ring somewhere else for the takeout orders. The place was packed on a Friday nignt and there was only two bartenders (Who were doing the best they could.) and no barback. There was suppose to be a third bartender but they didnt know where she went. They had to make the drinks for the house as well as take Keno orders and put the glasses in and empty the dishwasher. One customer played at least 5 tickets every 5 games. We ordered the steak tips medium rare and a turkey reuben. The tips were decent, but we had heard raving reviews. These are no north shore tips. The sandwich was decent. We just expected more. The staff and clientele are very nice and accommodating but overall the service is not great. I love this restaurant! Their food is wonderful, as is the service. Their steak tips are amazing! And are a must if you go here! Also, one time we rented the space that they have out for a family celebration, and they did the catering. And they had these amazing seasoned potatoes. They were so delicious, that 1 time I was craving them and went back after that just for the potatoes. Overall everything here is really great! read more

The overall experience was great as they accommodated our party of over 30 people. We were given a private room with a deposit down. The chicken parmesan and chicken ziti off the function menu were okay. The ravioli and caesar salad were definitely a hit. We only had one server, but it ended up working out. Maybe it was just what I got here, but I really wasn't a fan and I really wanted to like it. My boyfriend and I went here on a Saturday and we were able to sit out on the patio. The patio was a really nice area. We both got 22 ounce beers which were great. We ordered the Buffalo chicken dip for an appetizer. This came with home made potato chips instead of nacho chips, which I'm completely fine with, but the chips weren't cooked fully and they were really soggy. That being said, the dip itself was really good. Then I got the steak tip and cheese sub done medium. Maybe I just wasn't expecting the steak tips to be so thick on a sub was it was so difficult to chew one steak tip never mind in the sandwich. I had to cut the steak tips up into small pieces to even attempt to eat it as a sub. Every piece was chewy and raw in the middle, not cooked to medium. It was very disappointing. My boyfriend had gotten a pastrami sandwich which he really enjoyed. While the food was just ok in my opinion, our server was really great and very attentive for having an almost full patio. My wife and I went early Friday for dinner. Our server was delightful and attentive throughout the meal. I really like this place, but tonight, I choose poorly by ordering the Carbonara Pasta dish. The pasta itself was good, the ingredients (tomatoes, chicken, bacon) were flavorful, but the sauce on the pasta fell flat. Not sure of the problem, maybe not enough cheese? In any event, I did not like the dish, however, I very much enjoyed the Santa Fe Egg Roll appetizer and I tasted a bit of my wife's New England Clam Chowder and it was delicious. We enjoyed an inexpensive ($24) bottle of Chardonnay with our meal and ended with the Bread Pudding which would have been great without the chocolate sauce that it came with. I had a Birthday dinner party for my husband on Saturday June 14th @ the Norwood location. The food was awesome and the staff was Amazing. The team assigned to my event were Trisha and Kristin. They were GREAT!! Both made sure I had everything I needed plus more. I would recommend having your next event at Conrad's. The price was reasonable and the food topped it off. My menu was Steak Tips, which were absolutely delicious, chicken ziti broccoli, baked haddock, rice, mash potatoes, garden salad and rolls. I love Conrad's! I have moved back to Norwood after five years. The first weekend moving in, we hit up Conrad's for takeout for dinner. When I was leaving my recent home on the North Shore, when I told everyone I was moving to Norwood. At least three people said "You have to go to Conrad's in Norwood.". You can't find a better steak tip dinner, and everything I have ever eaten here is delicious. It's a casual and friendly atmosphere and the staff make you feel very welcome. Ordered some sandwiches to go at the Bar and waited for 25 minutes. Bar was busy restaurant part was quiet on a Wednesday night before thanksgiving 5:30. I asked if the order was ready and the bartender brought it out. Once I got to car I opened up the containers and the French fries were lukewarm warm and greasy. I grabbed half the sandwich and it was soggy and toasted on one side wtf. I can see why a lot of your customers left and went to Boston Tavern . We have frequented Conrad's many times and have typically had a great experience, but tonight our service and experience was extremely underwhelming. We were seated at 6:41pm and ordered food/drinks within 5-10 minutes. The pumpkin espresso martini that was ordered did not arrive until 7:30pm, and it was warm and needed to be poured over ice. We then did not receive our one appetizer until 7:37pm an hour after sitting. The food came shortly after, and multiple meals were lukewarm. The last meal to arrive was for the person who specified they were celiac (gluten allergy) when ordering, and a french fry cross contaminated their meal and was not acknowledged as a problem by the wait staff. When a manager was requested due to our long wait time, he seemed extremely annoyed that we had requested to speak with a manager. They did give us a $50 gift card, which was appreciated, but we will not be returning to this Conrad's location. read more

Family has been going for around 20 years now. Probably the best steak tips in the area, especially for catering. Drinks are good, salads and entrees are pretty good. You have to pay for soda refills, so heads up for that. Atmosphere is nicer than a bar and grill but not much. Great for family dinners, grabbing a bite to eat when you dont want something fancy. Great for sports watching. Good event space. The bar itself is massive. They have Keno, which feels at place. Staff is friendly.
