There are two locations for this restaurant. The Norwood center location has delicious food and professional friendly service. I've been to this restaurant several times, and I've never been disappointed. During busy dinner hours the restaurant can be a little noisy as it is a family restaurant. The other location is in Walpole. I've been to this location a couple of times. Both times the food was poorly prepared, hot food was served cold, and the servers were rude. The server was in attentive, and when the meal finally did come, we then had to wait a disproportionate amount of time for silverware. I would not recommend this location. read more

My family and I had dinner there tonight and the food was absolutely amazing! I had the prime rib; full of flavor, not too salty and just down right delicious! My boyfriend had the steak too sub; the sandwich was huge, with tons of steak tips. The sides were great as well, we had the potato salad and coleslaw. We sat in the dining room around 6pm with an infant and were surrounded by families, couples, etc. and felt that it was totally appropriate for children. We will definitely be back! read more

We arrived for a late lunch on a Wednesday around 4p. We sat ourselves as directed by the sign and it took some time for someone to acknowledge our arrival. The waiter approached and took drink orders but didn't drop of menus. We ordered a variety of items including a meatball sub, steak and cheese calzone, Caesar salad wrap, and steak tip / turkey tip combo. One of the orders was totally wrong from the order but the food was prepared well. The server was friendly but apparently having an off day. I ended up ordering the chicken Caesar wrap with crispy chicken and the special app (Buffalo chicken wontons). The wontons weren't terrible but weren't great. I did get them to go so being in a container with the food sweating caused it to be a little soggy. Which is completely understandable. I was just expecting something with more taste. Didn't taste a lot of the Buffalo either. The wrap was good, chicken had some flavor. It was just lettuce, Caesar dressing and chicken. Ended up finding a hair though which was a buzz kill. M. King was our waiter. He was exceptionally rude and unprofessional. When we asked him to repeat himself with the description of the types of sauces available on the grilled chicken he became belligerent and stated that "the sauces were the same as I said the last time." Needless to say we had our appetizer and called it a night. We had a wonderful dinner at another local restaurant. M. King you are in the wrong industry! And Conrad's Restaurant should know that this person will eventually affect your bottom line. read more

Oh my goodness!! Can't rave enough about the STEAK TIPS!!!!! So worth it. Ordered out the steak tips. It was cooked to perfection... medium rare. Whatever the marinate is ... it's awesome. Portion is big. I got broccoli and rice pilaf for sides.The pilaf was dry not the way I expected. I finish the steak the next day and it was still good. I will definitely eat here again. Never even heard of the place till i was told by my office, apparently it has been around for years, located on the main street in Norwood the outside looks like an old cinema or theatre? Anyway, greeted promptly for lunch on a Monday afternoon and was seated right away. Very pleasant hostess. Large dining rooms (looks like 3 or 4 of them in a sort of open plan with dividers in-between) high tops as you walk in that stretch to the bar, we were seated there. Full bar with more tables adjacent. Our server was a young guy who was very friendly and efficient, he dropped off menu's and took our drinks order and was back with warm rolls. pretty quickly. I had heard the steak tips were very good but for lunch i went the Boston Jam Burger, it was awesome!! Served on a fresh bun with bacon jam, cheese, lettuce, tomato and fried onions with a side of steak cut fries, outstanding. #2 had the carbonara and added steak tips, there was nothing left to try but it looked incredible and was pretty substantial! Enjoyed a weeknight dinner here recently! Started with the fried pickles, which were super crispy and had great flavor! For main entrees we ordered the Greek salad with steak tips and the Asian pork dumplings, both were delicious! Just a warning if you get a gift card for this restaurant. It does not allow you to leave a tip using the gift card so bring cash. I really find this bad business. I used a $150 dollar gift card today on my bill of $69.00. The slip I got back had no space for a tip and when I asked the bartender what was up, she told me that their system doesn't allow them to take tips on their gift cards. Been here a few times and as I mentioned in another review have also been to the Foxboro location. NORWOOD is the location to visit! I'm sure the rest of the menus is good but let's face it, they are known for their steak tips for a reason! They are melt in your mouth good. Staff has been great on each of our visits and the place was spotless during our last visit. I'm tempted to give it a 5 but I like to hold on to those for really special places. That said you will NEVER be disappointed if you go to the Norwood location and order the steak tips! read more

First friends and I decided on Norwood, due to traffic and convenient distances for each of us. We planned on a Thai place, but when I arrived, there was not one person there at the restaurant. When others arrived we saw gaggles of people at (and others going into) the Conrads place. We all decided that was more promising than the empty Thai place. It seemed okay when we first entered. It was loud and raucous in early evening, and the place had a porch, and there was only one table available, and we pounced on it. So our horrid meal began. Sweet waitress, but a little unreliable (as she actually made recommendations for food that nobody would want). I ordered a drink, and asked of specials--she told me homemade Sangria. I asked if it was sweet (as I didn't want something sweet) and she said that one type was much less sweet. Ordered it, and it was NOT TOO GOOD, and had virtually no alcohol, and had distinct sort of Hawaiian Punch taste. And that was one of the best things I had there. Whatever you do, DO NOT get the mussels! Waitress suggests them. Pile of mussels, overcooked and now cold, in a bowl of what looked frightfully like dirty sea water. And it certainly was salty, but no other flavor. It had garlic and tiny bits of tomato, and remarkably they had no flavor at all. Fake (or old) garlic? The flies then swarmed at the musty mussels. And us, because we were outside, where we had a close-up view of a not even slightly pretty parking lot. The menu is weird. Friends didn't sus out that the piece about "Sides" that lists 4 or 5 potato side orders that come with your meal, along with Cole slaw, pick 2. Somewhere else on the menu, on another page, you find a slightly more generous list. Like a very boring and uninspired salad. Not even carrots... Somehow delerious I had gleaned it might be Italian. I ordered the veal Marsala. How could you screw that up? Absolutely. No. Flavor. And miraculously, it seemed to have linguini in the same dirty seawater as the mussels. And yes, the flies came swarming back. One friend had grilled salmon, which was uninspired, but edible. Her son--at my recommendation no less!--had steak tips. He said they tasted kind of funny. Certainly looked seriously overcooked, despite it had been ordered med. rare. My veal wasn't right either. No flavor. Texture was tough. Gave up after a few bites. As we swatted flies, and my friends "dined" on potato salad (remember the confusion with the sides!), we called for the $70+ bill. Sweet waitress was overtipped but we escaped, flies notwithstanding, and waved "so long" to the parked cars 6 feet away. If you think we might be foodie snobs, after we left we all agreed: Burger King has infinitely more flavor. By the way, their bread was like small, stale hamburger buns. Sound enticing?
