This has been a bad experience for me. This is one situation where you actually have to begin payment before work is done because I signed the contract in March 2022, didn't get installation until October 2022, parts were broken and mismatched and attempted to fix in December 2022, and no one has responded to any of my calls or emails since and it is now May 2023 and over a year since things began. We had 40 windows installed. Took a year with a total of 6 installs due to defective windows. Had another one we just reported today. I thought once they were all in, my problems and stress would be over. Not true. Nobody can clean these windows. Have tried multiple window cleaners. Once the sun hits them, they are so smeared. It's embarrassing. I can't even successfully clean a window that is accessible to me on the lower level. Also dust just sticks to them. Something very wrong with the film or finishing on the windows. Great warrantee but who wants to keep ordering replacements with the same results? Not sure what our next move is. Can't live with this. read more

I do believe they may have a great product but sadly, the high sales pressure tactics of their rep ultimately turned us off. We, like many others, set up a time to have a rep come into our home (after they came knocking on our door, which btw has a sign in our window that clearly says NO SOLICITING). Husband opens the door and agreed to set up a time where "both of us could be present" (per the company policy). We knew we had a few areas in our home that we'd eventually like to replace but honestly we weren't in any rush to do this. We just wanted a quote to see what kind they offered and the cost attached. The sales rep who showed up was on time and seemed very friendly and an upbeat upon arrival. We also informed him upfront that we HAD to be somewhere by 2pm. And that it was important he be mindful of the clock. He said he 100% understood and told us he was going to make it super fast, get our measurements and give us our quote. After listening to the very long sales pitch via power point on an iPad, which included him reading out loud several long random customer reviews, all the various jobs they did for others, all their rankings and ratings from BBB, awards and other accolades and all the over-salesy-verbiage! He even took an additional 10 minutes to explain why he personally received a bad review but wanted us to know the ENTIRE backstory! At this point it was clear this guy was not going to be leaving anytime soon. After 60 minutes had gone by it was now time for "window installation 101" session! I understand being explanatory to a degree about the product but this was complete overkill, just too much information and at this rate we were both getting very irritated with how long this was taking. At various points I kept trying to make it obvious by leaving the table several times, and saying out loud that we had to get going, "gee look at the time". My husband even said "hey it's cutting it kinda close now, we have to actually be somewhere at 2pm not leave here at 2pm!". Each time he kept saying I understand and he was almost done, but he knew he wasn't almost done, because he just kept going...at times it was pretty nerve wracking! He finally left at 1:50. Just shy of 2 hours! When we FINALLY got our quote, it was seriously over inflated of course! And we expected this based on how he was "calculating" costs/averages, etc. At this point we were out of time and patience! My husband politely said we weren't ready to commit today but when we are ready we'd give them a call. That's when all the discounts and "extra" percentages started coming off the price in order to get us to "lock in" the deal that day (typical sales tactic move, been there done that). When we still declined, making it even more obvious we were done my husband said for second time we weren't ready to do anything but we appreciated his time, the rep said "well, basically I'm unemployed today". Then he began quizzing us and asking us how many people do we think "bought windows from him out of the last 24?". We were like ummm...really?? We don't care, we just want to be done! He then proceeds to say he wasn't able to go to the movies with his wife now because he wasn't going to get paid. Then the worst part is that upon leaving he said to my husband, as he was making awkward small talk with him about not buying their windows, "well, you know who the worst ones are...Indians!". My husband was like yeah, uhh maybe they are like me and need to contemplate big financial decisions before making them. I understand sales reps are in the "selling business" because they make their money off of sales commissions. I get that, I've been in sales most of my life. However, the potential customer doesn't need to be reminded of this throughout a presentation. We were not only super frustrated this guy took up TWO HOURS of our time, he caused up to be late to our engagement, we ended up getting into an argument over it all in the car as he wasted a good chunk of our afternoon with his icky sales tactics and weird comments like "working for free today" and the movie thing with his wife? What salesman/woman uses those types of lines to close a deal? And then to spout off racial remarks? Is that what they teach these guys in their window sales school? Just be genuine, be honest and really listen to your potential customers and what they need and want. This rep was all about his agenda and making his need for a sales that day our urgency and our problem! Based on our lengthy experience with the rep it seems as this company is all about what THEY need and want. Who in their right mind is just gonna drop $6k on the spot because the salesman wants them to? Most home owners I know like to get a few bids and think over the best fit, price and product. I SOoooo wished I had read Yelp! reviews or Googled reviews on this company beforehand! Looks like I'm not alone in the wasted time department! read more

They have called me twice to schedule for a quote, I told them when they came by my home that I was interested but not anywhere close to being able to pay for the job yet. So I was upfront and told them it was going to be up to a year before I could even think about having new windows installed. Today I received a phone call from a young lady to schedule another quote and I again explained that I appreciated them keeping up with me to keep this install on my mind, but that I was still not ready to even get a quote ( I do have an approximate figure regarding what the total cost will be anyway). I told her that they were more than welcome to call me in 3 months to follow up. I was told "No that's okay I'm not going to waste my time on you..." W-the-F? Are they friggin kidding, do they EVER want my business, i now have to assume they do not and would rather lose a potential customer rather than gain one. I will NEVER do business with conservation because of this, and I will make sure that I pass this along to anyone I hear thinking about doing business with this company. Where is the friggin work ethic, customer service, and general aptitude towards being a decent employee, apparently not at Conservation. What a joke! Good riddance. read more

An employee came to my parent's house on a Friday: he was a very nice, clean cut looking guy in a POLO shirt, but when I informed him of our city's do not solicit list, and that we were (now) registered, he appeared to be (genuinely) oblivious and attempted to continue on with his sales pitch. I explained that I believed him, but that his manager/owner did know, and to check with him for the list. I was genuinely trying to help him avoid any trouble, but he became upset with me and stormed off. I've written a review and two updates on this one, you can read those, or just the recap here: An employee showed up to my house disguised as a city employee, that is, in a construction vest, complete with a clip board. He tried, through concealment, to trick me into signing a release form giving permission to be contacted. I didn't fall for it. I politely dismissed him. I later looked for information on the company online. I did a reverse look up of the phone number listed, and found there were some fishy discrepancies between what was on the flier, vs. a website, vs. what I was advised of in person, with regard to length of time in business and location of operation, BBB, etc. I interacted with the owner here on Yelp which did nothing, if not the opposite, to/of allay(ing) my concerns, and I contacted the city about the experiences, who referred me to an office (that is evidently located in the police department), they apprised me of the proper protocol: wearing badges issued by the city as well as and nametags identifying the company. I was additionally advised all canvassers are required to register with the city, and, at the time of registration, are given a list of addresses registered to a do not solicit list, which they are required to honor. The city took down all of my info regarding the negative interactions. I haven't seen them at either property since. This company was still not (at the time of this last interaction) in compliance with city ordinance; as a result, I have serious reservations with regard to my experiences interacting with this company, and after having read other yelp reviews regarding professionalism which tend to agree with my impression. As a result, I would decline to employ this group myself, and would strongly advise anyone to thoroughly do their own homework. I'd personally rather do business with a company who advertises, one with a physical location/showroom I can walk into, and with a long history/verifiable references in the community. Update: The comment left by the business has been updated and is much more articulate than the initial response, but still neglects to simply apologize for the deception on the part of the employee, with regard to the form, and also fails to correct many of the other discrepancies. I have long ago accepted that they were not a door-to-door scammer/telemarketing group; my point in all of that explanation, was that that is how they came across. I can tell they are trying very hard to clean up their image, and it appears they have begun to implement some of my suggestions, which is a good thing. Wear nametags, make sure your information matches everywhere, be transparent, and, when someone writes in with a concern, just apologize. read more

What I loved about our sales rep, Doug, was that he never once pressured us into a quick decision. During the thorough presentation, he took time to play with my 2 young sons. He was both friendly and professional. The installation crew was efficient and friendly. I'm going to be detailed to hopefully save someone their time and effort with this company. So this all started with a young man knocking on our door and offering to have someone come by to give us a free quote. We just moved in a few months ago and our inspector mentioned possibly getting new windows, so we accepted. Nothing out of the ordinary at this point. When the salesman came by a couple of days later, we thought he'd look around, give us a quote then leave. Unfortunately, that is NOT what happened. He stayed for two hours...until 9PM. During this time, he showed us a PowerPoint that included a heavy emphasis on their awards and lack of negative reviews on the internet, a quiz on our knowledge of windows, and many pictures of previous jobs. We were also shown an actual window and its parts, as well as different types of glass against a heat lamp. While it was time consuming, the salesman was nice and polite. However, his attitude changed as soon as we read the conditions of the quote he gave us. Said conditions included being required to write a positive testimony for their company and making a yes or no decision on the quote that night. We told him we would need more time to decide, because the number given to us seemed really high to make a decision right then and there. He immediately got super defensive, claiming that he could've been at someone else's house to get business instead of at ours, and that no one ever calls back wanting to spend more money. We politely declined again, and bid him farewell. To be honest, we might have called back despite the increase of price, but his pushiness was very unprofessional. And we checked the reviews after he left... There's a ton of negative ones, most of them with experiences very near to ours. If they truly have a good product, then they will want to change their sales technique in order to be more successful in getting business. read more

We had two large windows in our living room and one large window in our bedroom replaced by them a couple years ago. I don't even remember how we learned about them, however we loved the outcome and their service was fabulous. [A couple years later we came across a different window company that we thought we'd try for a couple windows on one side of our house (all we could afford then). I won't put that company's info here, since I will certainly be putting that company's (negative) review separately in yelp, but will NEVER use them again.] So we called Conservation Construction again and had those (10x) windows installed today. Love the quality, love the price, and especially love the service! Measuring, ordering and delivery were painless. And communication was fabulous (thanks Corey)! They did all prep, quality removal of old windows and install and all clean-up of new windows (thanks Dalton and Roger). read more

Update New window replaced to replace the broken. Works mostly as advertised. Still sticks a bit so a bit difficult to use at time. A single window works well but if you go with 2 double pane windows that comes as a single unit they then seem to have trouble working at times. Also you'll note that they use silicone which can't be painted and they use it as a filler for large gaps so you'll have some really large silicone beads. The silicone also stinks and the smell lasts for a few days. Worst silicone I'd ever seen. Overall, the windows make a great difference in noise, heating and cooling. Will be looking to get additional windows replaced. Hopefully things will work better when that happens. read more

This is by no means a small investment, and the vetting process can be frustrating. After recommendations from customers, reviews, and just a "gut feeling", I chose Conservation Construction, and began the project with the installation of a large 95X120 window in my den. The perfect match of the vinyl with my gutters and trim gives the exterior of my house an immediate upgrade. The absence of dividers in the glass gives the windows a clean, modern look that opens the room up to the back yard. It was an instant change in the look of my home, and as visitors have commented, looks like a makeover in a magazine. Several months later, I decided to proceed with another set of windows (the same size) in my bedroom. I must admit there was a bit of a delay due to a problem with communication, but they are now installed and I could not be happier with the quality and beauty of these windows. I am looking forward to no longer chipping ice off of my frames (on the inside!) and no longer worrying when there is even a small amount of wind. I look forward to completing this project in the not-so-distant future, but with two more massive banks of windows and 8 single windows I am glad that Conservation Construction is patiently working with my schedule and finances. read more

I used this company in 2016 and had great service. In January 2022 I called and ordered more windows. After the sale the person who needed to mesaure called and said he would show up sometime with no set date or time. I called and complained. You are required to put down 33%. By the end of April I heard nothing. I called and left a message to get a status. A week went by and no response. I sent an email and no response. I finally reached out to Amerimax who provides the windows and explained the situation and they gave me what they thought was my order and stated it was shipped in March. This finally got Conservations attention. They called and said they were short a window. I waited another 3 weeks and no response. I called Amerimax again and they said they were never notified there was a missing window. I contacted the GM and was a bit irritated and she claimed it wasn't her job to followup on window orders. She told me I was rude and was going to hang up because I told her to do her job. I spoke to the Owner and got a run around. They installed the windows May 18 and there were no screens and one defective window. I decided not to contact them again and they tried to bill me the whole amount and I rejected and did a partial payment. The windows are amazing. The office is a joke. They don't care about customer service and don't return calls and they use the excuse that you contact them and they don't have a chance to contact you. Your excuses are beyond belief. If you respond within a day people won't be frustrated and seem rude to you. This is my opinion and experience. It might be different for others. The installers and workers are great. read more

STAY AWAY, THEY MIGHT HAVE GOOD WINDOWS BUT THEIR SERVICE IS AWFUL!!!!!! (That is my experience at least) I had an appointment with Conservation constructions in Dec 2018, I had a sales representative, Keith, coming to my house giving both me and my wife a very very very long presentation, at a certain point, my wife couldn't stand it anymore so she went back to do some work in her studio. Keith, measured all windows gave me a quote for the entire house and we decided to replace two twin windows upstairs. Keith ended the meeting saying "anything you need I am always there for you give me a call". Later on the same day, I notice that the quote, which should be constant along the year disappeared, I contacted Keith, saying "did you take the quote by a chance?" he checked and said "yes I am sorry I'll email it to you later", which he did. Fast forward to earlier this week, I got a call from an installer, Josh, saying he is working for Conservation constructions and he said that he would like to schedule the windows replacement, I asked him how long it is going to take? he replied 3 hours max, so I blocked my calendar for 3 hours. When Josh came at 9:35 AM, he said he hope they'll finish in 3 hours, I was confused so I asked him, you told me over the phone 3 hours max, his reply was I didn't know it was on the 2nd floor. After he installed the first window (finished at 11:25AM), I approached Josh and said, I have an hard stop at 1 PM, he said, don't worry the 2nd windows will be much faster, we will finish by then. Josh started working on 2nd window, apparently he had some issues. I went into the room at 12:45, saying I have to leave at 1 PM, he tried to rush the guy he was working with. I even suggested they will return the same day but I need to leave at 1 PM. at 1 PM he said he needs 15 minutes more, I called my wife, as she had other appointment to attend, if she can push her meeting by 15 minutes to accommodate their request to work till the end. when my wife came her and I asked separately how much time they need we got different answer, then my wife told them to pack and return on another date. At the end of the day, one of our "over charged" windows is not secured correctly. I texted Keith, which suppose to be there for me, and he is conveniently out of the country, said he forward it to his GM, which I never heard back from. I decided to call them, I was refer to a lady named Karin, which I left a message, after she didn't call back I called again, the agent told me Karin said you should contact Brian our service manager, so I left him a message as well. I'll keep update this review as I'll have progress on this case. I called Brian again, this time he picked up, heard my story, asked if he can call me back. 15 minutes later, I got a call from Josh, the installer, he didn't seem to be happy about it, asking if he can come to finish the job on Monday morning. Josh came back, recording everything inside the house. they calked the windows, cleaned the area and left after having me sign everything is completed to my satisfaction. read more

Had all windows replaced (25). The sales rep was nice and not pushy. We had old aluminum frame, single pane windows that were original to our 1973 house. The install took 2-3 days. The crew was very professional and friendly. The install resulted in minor damage to some drywall and rotted trim around 2 of the windows. The crew patched the drywall and replaced rotted trim. The only thing I had to do was paint. One of the windows showed up with a crack but that did not delay the install. The new window pane arrived in a week and same crew captain came out to install. Energy savings SLASHED by 50%. We have also recently replaced our larger a/c unit and that even further reduced our savings. The price seemed high and likely was, but I feel that I have definitely got what I paid for and have no regrets. read more

This review is for CCof Texas in Grapevine, Texas. for poor and insulting sales tactics... All I wanted was a good honest price on decent windows. After the shpiel about the company and windows we got down to the pricing. This is where I have a problem. I got one initial price (Inflated) then a discount price and then..... the "Discount" price I thought where it should be. The only problem was that I wasn't allowed to process it for a day or two and was told the price changes if the sales guy leaves my house. Whaaat? Price changes when you walk out the door??? Really?? No, just bad sales decision. This is a poor pressure sales tactic game and very insulting to me. The sales guy then started asking personal questions about my finances and what was holding me back. I was also uncomfortable about that. Additionally he told me I could lock in the mystery price for five years but I was never told what that actually meant. What price am I "Locking" in? I think this company should take a clue from Tom Reilly about giving it back to the customer..... I think they have a good product and I feel I would have made the the purchase after a couple days and some clarification.... Not so much now. read more

He never hesitated to answer all our questions no matter how stupid they might of been. The cost to product is exceptional. Value is superior. We had been looking into replacing some windows in our house for a while. After some research, and talking to a few companies, we had a price range in mind that we were willing to go with. These guys showed up, displayed their product, their prices, and we decided to give them a shot. The price was competitive, the windows are good quality, and all in all, the installation was satisfactory. There was a slight miscommunication with the installers initially, but they lived up to their end, and provided a nice, clean install, and picked up well after themselves. We are planning to do some more windows with them this year. There are negative reviews about every window company you can find, including this company. I love our new windows. We've had them for a couple months. We knew there would be a difference because there's no longer a draft, but we've also noticed a decrease in the outside noise level. The workers who installed our windows were very fast and efficient; it took only a few hours to do our entire dining area and living room. Conservation construction installed 7 windows. The quality of the windows is very good and they look great on the house. I am giving four stars instead of 5 for two reasons. First there was quite a bit of damage to the window sills, and wall board around the windows, during installation. The repair that was done has already fallen apart so I will have to repair it myself. Second, I had a problem with the install of a one window. When I talked with the operations manager, he was condescending and literally laughed at my complaint. It eventually got fixed, but I still had to go behind the installer to cut away insulation and re-cualk. The crew, although they did a satisfactory job, seemed more concerned with completing the task quickly. I will most likely get windows from them again, but will watch them a little closer next time. read more

We had 43 windows replaced in our home by Conservation Construction. The sales person was upfront and honest. The price was a bit higher than Pella but they didn't give us any grief like the Pella installers did over our bushes and the like. It took CC a day and a half to install all 43 windows and their crew was great. Conservation Construction's parent company is actually a Colorado company. As a native Coloradoan I am intimately aware of the weather demands of Colorado on a window (heat, cold, sun 350 days a year, and dry climate) and trust a window that can withstand Colorado climate. We love our Amerimax windows and the great and fast installation job. Our home is a Centex (Fox & Jacob's) two story that was built in 1998 with a ton of crappy builder grade windows. The seals on most went bad and the aluminum white frames would lose their white whenever we cleaned the windows. We got the Low E, Argon gas and now our cooling bills are down in the summer. read more

We have had our CC windows for about a year now. What a difference they make. Lower energy cost with a brighter house. We had solar screens before and it was like a cave. Now the house is bright and actually the electric bills are lower then with the screens. They were a little more costly then some of the competition but we are very satisfied with the purchase. I'm glad I didn't hire these guys. What a waste of time. First, they solicited homes in the Flower Mound area and neighborhoods claiming they work in the area - never even heard of them before. Nothing shows me that they know this area or have experience here (check yelp here). The salesperson on the phone eventually said they are in Grand Prarie but here on Yelp it says Grapevine... which is it? I had a bad feeling from the first visit to solicit my interest and contact information, asking for two phone numbers and my spouse's name. What #1? What does that have to do with giving me a window estimate? But whatever, I'm a reasonable person so I invited them to come and do a "free estimate". They called me back the next day and spent all my time setting the right appointment that worked for them. When I asked which Salesperson I should expect, they said they couldn't provide that information. What #2? That's odd - most reputable companies can. When I insisted on the name of the Salesman coming to my house, they said they would call me back. I said great - and when they did call me back, they again said they couldn't provide the name. And when they insisted that my spouse be available for the sales call, they confirmed they won't bother coming at all if she is not there... I said: What (#3)? I can smell pressure sales pitches from 10 miles away and this was one just waiting to happen. Three strikes and what a waste of time. read more

I called to request a quote. Receptionist was rude and said they only replace windows they install? I then asked to speak with a Rep who was rude and immediately explained they only do a minimum of 4 windows before he asked me how many windows I needed to replace. I have 6 windows at least 6 feet tall each and 52 more that need to be looked at to see if any of those have issues and need to be replaced. Very poor Customer Service! We hired Conservation Construction to install two window sets after hail storms damaged our previous windows. They make a tremendous product and my wife and I were highly impressed with the work ethic and quality of the crew who did our installation. We quickly noticed an improvement in our energy bills after installation as these windows face west and receive the most direct sunlight. We had all our windows replaced by CC in 2 different installations 3 & 4 years ago. Positives: Windows look great and our utility bills are low. We got quotes for both sets of windows prior to the first installation and when we were ready for the 2nd set we realized they missed a window on the quote for the second set, but they honored the quote with no charge for the additional window. Negatives: While the 1st installation team was good the 2nd team left a small crack in a wall during the de-install of the old windows and did a poor job of repainting the wood trim around a 2nd floor window. The main problem I had with them was that I requested a detail invoice separating the material costs with sales tax from the service costs for income tax reasons, but never got what I had requested. Our Salesman was very knowledgeable and sold us on the quality of the windows. When they arrived they were installed professionally and quickly. At first we only bought four windows to replace the ones that were really bad. While not as expensive as some they aren't exactly cheap either. (that's a good thing) A few months later we reached out to buy five more and they gave us the same price as promised. No shenanigans. This time we had more windows but only one installer. Surprise! he was just as fast, careful and professional as the other crew. I was impressed. We love our windows as they look beautiful and the view is so clear. Really, who knew how cloudy the old ones were. The only bad thing.... the dog can't find the warm spot to lay in the sun. The windows keep the heat out. He's okay. He has a fur coat. read more
