It cost less than originally quote which was awesome and doesn't happen to often. Ryan is the man in charge and he kept me posted. Ended up being a fuel pump and bare wire. These guys are really professional and seem to know what's going on. A little expensive in my opinion to hook up the diagnostic machine by it is what it is. The overall price was still good. Check them out for your auto electrical needs. It's a little hard to find as it is behind a tire shop but there is a big sign.

So I felt good about entrusting my old truck to them. I explained to Brian the new MGR that I had already replaced the Complete tail lights with brand new LEDs. I had also replaced the Brake light switch 2 days earlier and it did not fix the problem. I told Brian that I had reached my mechanical limits and I didn't know what to do next. First thing Brian said was " its going to be $192 for us to diagnose it and what ever has to be done will be an additional charge. This caught me off guard a little bit. Most of the time they will ask more questions Like " when did you notice this or did something happen to cause this? You know warm up a bit before you start throwing big numbers at me without even asking any questions. I thought oh well he must just be having a hard day at 9:00am. So I reluctantly signed the paper that said "WE ARE NOT RESPONCIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS FROM YOUR CAR OR ACCIDENTS". There are 5 large signs lined up for you to see when you walk in. These signs all say what they are not responsible for. Later that day Brian called me and said they figured out what was wrong. It needs a "brake light switch" and its going to cost $360. I asked him if he meant the same brake light switch I spent 5 minutes installing just 2 days earlier? He said well this switch does not look new to him. I said ok how many brake light switches are there on my truck. He said just one. I asked him if he puts another one in and it doesn't fix the problem will it still cost me $360? He said let me talk with the mechanic (turns out there is only one mechanic at Dons auto electric) So I didn't hear anything back until the next day. Brian calls me and said it turns out the brake light switch was new and that was not the problem. He says now I "Me" need to go to ORiellys and pick up a turn signal indicator. My turn signal indicator also controls my Cruise control as well as emergency flashers So this part was not cheap $115. My wife picked it up and delivered it to Brian because as you know my trucks on a lift at Dons auto electric. Brian told her it would be ready by 2:00pm that day. I called about 3:30pm I asked Brian how it was going? He said "we got everything working except the brake lights"...... The brake lights were the reason I brought it in. Nothing else was broken I didn't understand What he meant by "everything else". but I bit my tong and said ok. Brian said let me check the one and only mechanics progress and Ill call you right back. I didn't hear from him again until I called at 10:45am the next day. Brian said we got everything fixed and the mechanic is putting it back together I can pick it up in an hour. 3 hours later I called an Uber and went to pick up my truck. I got there and the truck was still being worked on. I asked Brian what's up? He said his mechanic is at lunch and would be back in an hour. This is 2:00pm now. Now I'm getting a little POed but still calling Brian sir and making small talk as I stand in the waiting room with no chairs, TV, radio, just a 5' by 6' tile floor to pace. Brian calls his mechanic and asks when he will be back the mechanic said I'm pulling up right now. The mechanic walks in with Brian's burger king lunch. then walks out and crawls under my truck. About 5 minutes later two guys walk in the shop and lay down on the floor (see pictures) and have a 45 minute conversation with the mechanic as he lays on his creeper and talks. One hour later I asked Brian What was going one with my truck. He said it turns out that who ever hooked up my trailer light plug "two years ago" messed up the wiring to the brake lights. I guess it slipped Brian's mind that just yesterday he told me it was my turn signal indicator (that cost me $115 from ORiellys. I might be getting a little more PO'ed about now but still being very polite calling him sir. About 45 minutes later Brian drops a clip board on the counter right next to the big sign that says debit card users will be charged 3.99% of the bill as a service fee. He looks at me and says that'll be $686. I pulled out my wallet nd slid My debit card to him. He says " Our credit card machine has been broke for months we only except cash. Now this might have been nice to know Before I took an Uber back to his shop. I told him I didn't have $700 on me and I came here in an Uber. Did he have any options for me? He said Ill have my new office girl run you to an ATM just go outside and wait for her to come out. As you know its July in Oklahoma and was 106 degrees. I walked out to wait some more. Finally walked back in to the standing room. He said she will be right out. I sent the truck in with nothing but a dead battery and 10 grand worth of parts and got it back broken down. They told me there was metal in the transmission and they didn't know how to delete the DOD (weeks were spent discussing the build) which didn't matter either way given I gave them every part to rebuild and bullet proof the transmission had the truck sent straight to Chevy and the transmission had 0 metal in it and nobody has been able to figure out why my truck is broken down a week later, absolute unprofessional bums.

This Veteran owned and run shop, fast, honest, my go-to shop for all of my automotive services and repair. ****Update*** Also wanted to mention the vehicle inspection report, it was so comprehensive, they included both pictures and Videos as a part of inspection, not only do they tell you what is a concern they list it in level of priory. and the pictures are great, shows real accountability, and not just "take my word for it". I have been taking my cars and referring my friends to this shop for years now. I personally have never had any issues with any work I've had done on my vehicles or my family vehicles.

I got the car back and noticed the front end felt weighted down and breaks where not as responsive, readjusted tire pressure, gave it a day but couldn't get over how the ride just went to hell in a handbag and felt like someone slapped on two 10 ton bricks on the front. Called Car experts, explained the situation and asked if they may have put on the wrong brake components and if they have had any similar instances to which they did not seem the least bit concerned stating "your car only has one option (for brakes)"....we don't do calipers. I took it for a road trip and the ride is god-awful and this affects the whole driving experience ....not how it was when I brought it in and not how it felt from the factory. I thought you get what you pay for but with Car Experts you pay more for less. Wish I would have just gone to a dealership, could have saved money and probably got better parts and service. Now I have to figure out what they messed up, thoroughly dissatisfied.
