We had a group dinner at this restaurant. The layout was interesting because there's no clear distinction between the hotel lobby and the restaurant. The food was good but leaned towards the small side. It was also more salty and spicy than I expected. Service was really good and they checked on us frequently, refilling water whenever our glasses ran low.

Our hotel bar and restaurant! We loved our stay here and we loved the bar. Can't say anything about the food but the drinks were excellent with such a nice calm chill atmosphere. Service was excellent, our bartender really engaged with us and put up with my questions about drinks and was super knowledgeable and even let us try one of her creations she was working on for her new menu . Yummy fall flavor daiquiri. We had a nice glass of Rosè and I had a paper plane cocktail. I love watching them make the drinks hence always sit at the bar. It was a great first drink of the evening as we set off on our evening adventure . Lovely hotel bar !

Let me start by saying the ambience is very nice and welcoming. What I didn't like was our server. She was normal at first but then suddenly started dropping F*** bombs. Me and my guests were thrown off. We asked her what is good from the menu and by the end of our conversation she said "order whatever the fuck you want". We were just stunned. With that behaviour we wanted to leave the restaurant as soon as possible. Maybe she was trying to act friendly in her own way (as people would with people they have known for years and years) and cool, but it didn't come across like that since we weren't reciprocating that same behavior. Now to the food part. The food was delicious but the quantity was really really small. More like appetizers. We searched on google for the menu and it mentioned two different menus, they even say it's Middle eastern but nothing was middle eastern. I had seen hummus, grills, etc but when we got the physical menu, more than half of the menu that I had seen online wasn't there. Apparently they keep changing the menu. In short, our experience was good, confusing and weird. Just a small piece of advice, please train your staff to avoid a unnecessary scene

Really elegant and pretty space! I came here with a friend after work and although it was in the emptier side, the place still felt very welcoming and warm. The food was super tasty - I especially liked the duck and brussel sprouts which has the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors with a lot of texture!

I was staying close by Constantine so decided to visit for early evening drinks and bites. It was so good we came by twice. The first visit we sat inside. The server was attentive and knowledgeable. We started with two Into It cocktails. They are gin based and we're absolutely delicious. We also ordered the cheese Manakeesh (it's like a flatbread) and side of fries which comes with a harissa mayo. The fries were absolutely delicious. Thick cut, perfectly crispy and an amazing mayo. The manakeesh was also so good with its creamy flavor. The second visit we came by during their happy hour which is 4pm-6pm and sat outside. We ordered the manakeesh flatbread and fries again, as well as two new Sherry based cocktails. The drinks were delicious a great blend of flavors. The food did not disappoint. The server was also attentive this time around. Definitely worth the visit to Constantine!

My fiancé and I tried this place for the first time over the summer, and we had a great experience! Constantine is a fusion of Italian/Mediterranean food, and we really enjoyed every dish we ordered! We started with the beef kofta flatbread, and it was so delicious! It had a little bit of spice from the banana pepper, and I loved tzatziki drizzled on top, it gave the dish a nice creaminess. The beef was also seasoned very well. We also ordered the wedge fries with harissa Mayo as a side and these were amazing!! They were so perfectly crisp on the outside with soft and fluffy potatoes on the inside. The heirloom carrots were also ordered as another side, which were yummy as well. For mains, we ordered the lamb burger and the canestri arrabbiata pasta. The lamb burger was so yummy, super juicy and flavourful. I think I loved the pasta more than the lamb burger though, because it was very creamy with a little spice from the 'nduja sausage. The service here was great, along with the atmosphere! We were seated outside on the patio and it was super nice. My only complaint is that we were so full, and might have ordered a little too much for 2 people. But overall, super happy with this experience!

Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It was one of the top rated in Toronto and happens to be in a very convenient location. The ambiance is amazing. Contemporary, artsy and tastefully decorated with 3 different rooms. We dined in the formal room and had an amazing selection of dishes to choose from. The salad was very unique, light but flavourful. It was perfect! The pasta was delicious (would have it again) and the salmon was perfectly done with crispy outer skin. Overall very impressed with the food, the price and experience.

Today we joined some friends for brunch at this Yorkville spot. I have mixed feelings about it. I would have given 2.5 if I could have. The good: - great location for meeting friends and talking - a.k.a. not loud music - Tables were well spaced out - they didn't rush you - they were good about sitting us in a quiet spot - easy to get to (near Bloor / Yonge) - great cup of coffee - staff were friendly The not so good: - There were four of us dining, and the meals all came out one at a time. Which was really odd not that we were kind of waiting for the last one to come in while things were getting cold - strange for breakfast type options - not sure if it's pretty new but the staff don't seem to have the knack with the service part quite yet. When you're having eggs and things like that you shouldn't have to ask for salt and pepper. It should just come out with the meal - some meals were ok and some just so-so taste wise - The place is really quite pricey for what you get. - toast and jam is a $4 add on ( ie does not come with that $21 brunch entree)! - One of my friends had the avocado toast and could hardly cut through it. It was a single piece of bread and she sawed away at it with a steak knife for quite some time Anyway ... not rushing back here. We have been to other spots in the area with better service, lots of good tasting menu items and at better prices!

Last night I was lucky enough to get a spot on the patio at Constantine and I'm really thankful for it. It was my first time being there, but based on what I had seen online I knew it was going to be really great. Well, I wasn't disappointed, not in the slightest. The patio is beautiful, comfortable, and all in an a fantastic place to enjoy a meal outdoors. The service was second to none, super friendly, really helpful with suggestions, and made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. The food... Oh, the food. The portions are great, the pricing is more than fair, and the quality was exceptional. I'm not sure I can say I had a favorite as everything was go good. The flatbreads were on point, the spreads were delicious, the dessert was worth writing home about on its own. And lastly, the wine was beautiful and chilled just right, also the Dark and Stormy drinks were some of the best I've had It's an absolute no brainer that this place is highly recommended by me, you'll likely need a reservation for good reason, but it'll be well worth it and you'll be back again... Just like I will.

Classy ambience. Quiet inside with nice service. The Mezzeh appetizer was good with a twist to their hummus. The purple heir cocktail was good. My entree was the seared duck breast. Was done just right.

This is a review of their brunch menu. Atmosphere: 5/5 - this place is GORGEOUS. The decor is minimalistic with tons of nicely lit vases and pottery decorating the walls. I've walked by this place a few times and always stopped to admire the space. The main door is a little hidden and you have to go through the hotel to get there. Service: 4/5 - no complaints about the service here. Our server was very friendly and efficient and they were able to make an iced vanilla latte for me even though cold drinks weren't on the menu. Food: 3/5 - sadly the food was just average. The brunch menu didn't have much of a selection and the items were fairly pricey. I ordered the trout bagel (first item on their brunch menu) for $18 and although it was delicious, the value just wasn't there. My friend's avocado toast was also quite small and she was still hungry after. The Blueberry pancakes (I think that's their specialty item) looked quite good and came in a huge portion. All in all a good place for weekend brunch but don't expect to be blown away be the food. For a $30 meal it just wasn't worth it in my opinion. Come here for the cool atmosphere and no-nonsense service.

A little hard to find at first. This restaurant is right next to Wish in a black building. There is security behind the front door and you go straight through two doors before turning left into the restaurant. It is quite pretty on the inside and might make you feel underdressed haha. The food itself was average for the price charged. I ordered the lamb burger with fries. Portion wise it felt pretty small and it tasted alright .. The lamb patty was juicy and soft. There was also some slaw in the burger that gave it a tangy taste. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and looked well seasoned but didn't really have much taste unless you dipped them in the sauce. They were both just fine and didnt make me wanna order it again. The service itself was average as well. It was kind of busy that night and it took a while to get our cheques and our food. Will probably try again for their brunch but I dont see myself coming back for dinner.

This 'pandemic edition' review is specific to the Summer 2020 Phase II and III patio experiences and take-out during the second municipal lockdown in Autumn 2020. Atmosphere The patio was semi-enclosed with two open ends for adequate air flow. The tables were generously spaced, accessorized with plush cushions and pillows, and had both ceiling and pedestal heaters to ensure warmth. The staff wore masks correctly during all aspects of service, maintained appropriate distance, and made sure we felt comfortable throughout the experience. Service The service was friendly, attentive, and anticipatory. The conscious approach to health and safety made the experience truly relaxing. Food + Beverage The mushroom flatbread was exceptionally flavourful--it was balanced, herbaceous, and satisfying. The wedge fries were crispy and well-seasoned on the outside and soft on the inside, accompanied by a harissa aioli. These happy hour favourites were elevated through their combination of refined flavours and presentation. Takeout Experience We placed an order via Ritual and picked it up promptly. We were immediately impressed with the packaging--a paper bag with all compostable plant fibre packaging (decomposes into soil within 180 days in a commercial composting system). We noticed and sincerely appreciated the eco-conscious compostable packaging. The food was tasty and of similar quality to an on-site dining experience. The only area of improvement is to find a way to maintain the crisp texture of the flatbread in the takeout container as it prone to humidity saturation between the short time it is packaged, retrieved, and consumed. Overall, both the patio and take out experiences at Constantine have been a highlight for us during a gloomy and monotonous pandemic.

The first course was Labneh with bread, hummus, & beef tartare. Second course was Lamb pide & pear salad. Third course was grilled branzino, middle eastern fried chicken, black truffle rice, and thrice cooked fries. Then there was dessert which was chocolate mousse cake & baklava. Because of my many food allergies the main server for our table was very attentive & specific in asking me what I wanted as modifications. For example I got a wagyu beef pide instead of the lamb. Every dish was really delicious, presented well & quite filling. I couldn't eat all of the food. Though I tried almost everything. Service: The pacing of the dishes was quite masterful. They really paid attention to when the food was going to come out. As I mentioned above the main server was very attentive to my food allergies. I really appreciated that as some restaurants aren't as attentive. The food was served family style so everyone could take what they wanted from the serving dishes. The dishes were served in little bowls along the tables with each bowl serving about 4 people. We had asked for one long table so it was a little snug. But we made it work. Ambiance: For dinner the lighting of the space is really dim. LOL. I would have appreciated just a little bit more light. The restaurant is in an old building so to use the washroom you had to go down two flights of stairs. The dining area is small also. But it's a pretty space. As mentioned above we asked for one long table to seat 15 people. I was expecting square tables but it was a bunch of small round tables pushed together. So the tables were really crowded with food from all the dishes. But the servers made sure to take empty serving dishes away as soon as possible. The music was a little loud for me so I had to yell to be heard. The place was packed though. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, the service & atmosphere. The restaurant is close to Roy Thompson Hall & the other theatres nearby so it's a convenient location as well. It's too bad this place is only open for dinner. I would have loved to see how they would operate a lunch time service. In any case, Byblos was amazing. I would come back here again to try other dishes! Note: Some of my pics of the main dishes didn't turn out so it's mostly desserts that are pictures

Some reviewers complained about the loudness, but, compared to many other downtown locations, Landwers was a medium level of noise, and we were able to converse. It was not excessively busy, but if you are set on eating here, then make a reservation. I finally tried the Sinia Kebab, and it was tremendously good! It was also huge, and I had to take half of it home with me. The focaccia bread is excellent, and serves as a sort of bowl for this deconstructed kebab. My husband had his usual Cobb Salad, which he thinks is particularly well done at Landwer's. Our other dining companion had schnitzel, which came with some angel hair pasta. He enjoyed it very much. Service is, as I said above, "relaxed". If you are planning to see a concert or show afterwards, then plan ample time to allow the relaxed service to unfold (a.k.a this is not fast food!!) We had a 6:00 reservation, and we were able to make our 7:30 concert time with about 10 minutes to spare. The University location is conveniently located near Thompson Hall, the subway, and Union Station (Via Rail and Go).

Quality is consistent with what you'd expect from Milos: fresh, simple, and done properly. They're also mindful of time; if you mention you're on a tight schedule, they can accommodate a one-hour lunch without making it feel rushed. Had the salmon along with salmon tartare and the octopus. If you're pressed for time, just let them know when you order - they'll plan to have you out within the hour, or they pick up the tab. I, on the other hand, was in no rush. The staff read the room, paced the meal accordingly, and let us linger comfortably. With four starters and eight mains to choose from (three with supplements), there's plenty of variety, though seafood clearly takes centre stage. I leaned fully into the sea and wasn't disappointed. The salmon tartare was surprisingly, with large chunks of fresh salmon tossed with herbs and finely minced red pepper, giving the dish a bright, meaty freshness. In the dead of winter, that first bite genuinely felt like sunshine - apologies for getting philosophical, but it really hit home. While crostini were scarce, every table receives a basket of freshly grilled bread and a wasteful pour of olive oil. Carb lovers don't worry, there's plenty to scoop up that tartare. The whole dorade royal grilled might sound exotic, but you've likely seen it elsewhere under its more familiar name: sea bream. At Milos, it arrives deboned and finished simply with olive oil, herbs, and capers. That said, if you're squeamish about bones, proceed with caution as the deboning accuracy seems to vary. My plate had only a couple stragglers, while my dining companion's fish had several lingering behind. The dish is simple, clean, and ideal for lunch, so it satisfies without tipping you into post-meal drowsiness. The steamed vegetables were overcooked, though that may appeal to those who prefer their cruciferous vegetables soft rather than crunchy. For anyone who wants to channel a bit of Don Draper energy without returning to work tipsy, Milos' 3oz lunch pours are a great idea. And if you decide to lean in just a little more, they can easily be doubled into a proper glass.

That cheese crust is the obvious star of the show here, while the fresh, soft bread is also quite delicious. The other components are tasty too, but the patty itself is the weakest link. Overall the food was fine, but the price is a bit high for what you get. For $13-15, you get a skewer of meat (like chicken, veal, koobideh) which comes with rice and a roasted tomato. Unfortunately, they don't allow you to switch your carbs to a salad, thus forcing you to pay an additional $3, for a salad and yogurt. That works out to be almost $20 with a soda... a bit pricey given this is more of a take-out fast food joint. The food is alright. Pretty average, typical Persian food. The skewers are all quite fresh, tomatoes are BBQ'd fresh. Your rice and meat dishes come with a bit of butter for your to add to your meal too. Also... the amount of rice they give is HYYUUGGGEE. If you're hungry, this is perf for you! Although this place seems mostly to be a takeout joint, they do have a couple tables and some bar chairs available if you'd like to sit in.
