I live in Virginia and my mom lives in Hamden and my brother and I wanted to get her a new grill because her grill was falling apart and not working properly. My brother had cooked on the grill this summer and it took forever to cook the chicken. I call the hardware store and worked with Frank, who was awesome and understood my request for the grill to be assembled and delivered. Frank delivered the grill to my mother as part of an early Xmas gift and she was very excited to finally have a new grill. I would highly recommend Springhill Hardware over the big box hardware stores. It was a great feeling to support a local resident and business that has been there since I was growing up in Hamden in the 70s.

Apparently, Home Depot uses DoorDash to deliver their products. The DoorDash driver delivered the dehumidifier to the wrong address(who knows where). I called the one 800 number and was told they couldn't help me and that I needed to call the store responsible for the delivery which was Hamden Connecticut Home Depot. Upon explaining my dilemma, I was told by the customer service representative basically that it's not their problem and I needed to contact DoorDash. I protested, and explained to the young lady because I purchased it through them and they were responsible for delivery. It was up to them to clear the mess up. I then asked to speak to a manager on duty. All of a sudden she couldn't be more helpful deciding to call DoorDash herself. At that point, after speaking to DoorDash, she said that I needed to go on the Home Depot app where I made the purchase and request a refund because one DoorDash makes the delivery they close it and there's nothing they can do. I thanked her and went on the app only to discover I couldn't request a refund on the app. I called the one 800 number again and again was told they couldn't help me that I needed to call the store in Hamden to request the refund. I again called the store and this time I held out for a manager. Once I got a hold of the manager, he also told me he couldn't refund it and that he would have to send a new unit out. At this point time I am still waiting for the unit to arrive. The frustration alone and the time lost dealing with the issue is not a value at all. The same unit could've been purchased elsewhere without the headache and loss of time. I would not recommend a delivery from Home Depot anywhere unless it's a large product such as lumber which would be delivered on an actual Home Depot flatbed truck!

Like prior to our Bender experience, I had no clue that specific items are "made for Home Depot" and are not the same exact items available for purchase elsewhere. The same goes for Lowes. Yesterday I had to go get new wiper blades for my 2006 Hyundai. Called first, they were in stock (YAY ) so I made my way there to get them. I had made a comment that I can't stand the J-hook used to attach the blades and how my hands & fingers were tired of shoveling for 3 days as I had to keep taking much necessary breaks. The guy who rung up my blades said he could do it for me! So he put both blades on for me! I really only needed the passenger side blade but decided I might as well get both blades and I'm so happy I did and so grateful for his help!!! Definitely recommend Fazzino's for everything!!!

I called to have someone come out to correct it and was told there was nothing they can do. I was told it was outside the warranty even though their contract states to install appliances safely. So instead I have a fire hazard on my hands. I was also told the person who installed it probably doesn't even work there anymore. They hire shotty third party people to come out and do work . Be very cautious when buying from them. I will do business elsewhere and will make sure to spread the word. I have bought countless from them and will no longer. I have spoken to their higher up as well and they careless about their customers as well, they just care about getting your money.
