She inquired about the medicine I already take, yet prescribed me something I could not take with my other meds. Whilst in my x ray, the x ray technician had me look at the images and told me I had a fractured rib, I go in the office and she tells me it's nothing and gave me ibuprofen. I was seen for barely ten minutes, and the provider ignored nearly all of the symptoms I reported. She attributed my severe pain to a "change in diet," when in reality I was dealing with a kidney stone. It is extremely concerning that a medical professional could not distinguish between a simple stomachache and the presentation of a kidney stone. On top of that, she told me she would prescribe medication for my nausea, yet no prescription was ever submitted, and there is no mention of it anywhere in my discharge paperwork. Went in last year in October with an eye scratch that turned infected and asked for medication since I have had the type of infection before and I knew what I needed. They offered me an eye scratch test which I declined because I already knew what I had. They had me do a vision test (reading letters off the board) and listened to my symptoms. I was charged $225 and when trying to get a hold of a cost breakdown, the phone number just takes you through a helpless list of options. The unfriendly front desk representative forced me to put down a credit card at my time of visit even though my insurance includes a payment program, I knew I would not be paying out of pocket but they forced me to anyway. My insurance sent a check directly to the clinic on 12/31/2025 but my card was still charged with $225. I reached out to their billing email since I knew the check was sent out, and after being consistently ignored, the "help" provided was far from supportive; they do not care about customer. They stated that I needed to send the check to corporate and not the clinic, leaving everything for me to sort out on my own instead of the clinic rerouting the check themselves. I asked if they could contact the clinic to see if the check was received since it is nearly impossible to get a hold of the clinic as a customer. Even though I confirmed with my insurance that the check was sent out, they claim that it was never received. I've been to the clinic a few times and will never return. TLDR: unhelpful, unresponsive, and borderline rude customer service. they will try to upsell you on services you probably don't need ($$$). expect to pay hundred of dollars even if you already know exactly what you need, like a simple prescription. read more

This urgent care office is one of the most frustrating and unprofessional medical experiences I've ever had. Yesterday, I went in, paid my $50 copay, and was prescribed medication--yet no one bothered to inform me that my insurance required a pre-authorization. Today, after spending almost 30 minutes on hold, I was told that this office does not even handle pre-authorizations. Their "solution"? They told me I would need to come back in and "see what they can do." Which means paying another $50 copay, absolutely unacceptable. Why should patients be punished for their lack of transparency and failure to provide critical insurance information upfront? Not only did they waste my time and money, but their staff showed a complete lack of care or accountability. If you value your health, your time, and your money, I strongly recommend avoiding this urgent care. They will take your copay quickly, but won't take responsibility for ensuring you actually get the medication you need. read more

Waste of Time! My wife hurt her leg 2 1/2 months ago because she fell. She had been trying to take care of it, but it began to hurt. This place is a joke! The front desk people were on their Instagram and TikTok the entire time we waited for 45 minutes. One receptionist was video calling his friend saying how, "He was so excited to see Emma," and the other receptionist was chatting about her boyfriend. The nurse and P.A. were lazy and barely did their job. My wife specifically wanted X-Rays and they said she didn't need it -- It doesn't matter what you think, she's the patient! The P.A. talked so fast and interrupted my wife and basically said use Advil and ice it. Yeah, we've been doing that for 2 1/2 months. We want to see if there is a fracture. The P.A. was giving the impression she didn't want to be talking to my wife and hurried out of there as fast as possible. I've never seen someone rush back to their desk so quickly. My wife felt it was a waste of time and made an appointment with her PCP instead. Lazy, interrupting, unprofessional, and unhelpful. read more

Can't say enough great things about this place. Ended up going there today for my son to get a strep test. First off, the nurse who helped us was AWESOME. She was extremely patient with my boy who was adamant about not getting a strep test given past experiences. She was so patient with him and did whatever she could to make him comfortable. Secondly, the facility itself was beautiful. Felt like a country club. So much nicer than others we have been in Needham. Lastly, they took us right away and had a full staff working. This place is a joke! I have gone there twice, pre-registered and made and appointment. 1st time over an hour and finally left. 2nd time an hour and left. I heard them say to a man who said he was born in 1933 to be patient. How much time do they think he has left. Staff is not friendly. Hire more help or take the appointment times option off. I used Convenient MD a few times and always had a good experience and could not understand the bad reviews until now. I stand by it being a nice clean comfortable place with friendly staff and technology. My 1 star goes to billing. I was seen 3/1/25. I paid my $50 copay with my debit card. I was seen again on 4/1/25 for the same problem. My guess is I was under treated. My insurance company paid the 2 claims for the 4/1 visit to Convenient and Labs of America, but they did not pay the 2 claims for the 3/1 visit. There was a glitch with the 3/1 bill. I was getting harassed by text daily, "did I want to pay my claim with my debit card." First, these clinics are contracted with BCBS and the BCBS statement say that "you/I" am not responsible for the claim. My insurance company tried to reach out to them, but kept getting a message that they were too busy to come to the phone. When I called today, I waited 20 minutes before I got a person. There billing dept. is in New Hampshire and they sent one of my claims to NJ and wonder why it was taking too long. This morning they took $161.74 out of my account. FYI Convenient care, you were not authorized to do this and it is illegal to process a claim without consent or keep a credit card on file without consent. If I return, I will be paying cash for my copay as you have been blocked from my account for any further activity. If you don't accept cash, then I will be going elsewhere and never to return. This is the biggest waste of time. The medical care staff was blunt, no empathy and slightly rude. They either forgot or delayed sending my prescription and sent it to the wrong CVS wasting an hour and a half, they then told me that what I needed was out of stock and sent me to another CVS which had no record of the transfer. Communication needs to be fixed. As I waited longer and longer, my fever grew worse and after 2.5 hours of this whole ordeal I finally got my meds....... Do better please. read more

Long story short, I was super sick for over a week and went to this location. The nurse I saw told me "I looked fine" and sent me on my way. After trying to explain my symptoms and medical history, the nurse told me "if you're not fine you can go to an ER." My mom was at the appointment with me and after hearing this tried to explain my symptoms/history as well. The nurse wouldn't hear us out and then looked at me and said "I advise you to get a voice and advocate for your health" which was super awkward, uncalled for, and rude. A week later I went to a CVS walk in after and they were shocked I wasn't given antibiotics immediately. I've been sick for almost 3 weeks now, missed 2 weeks of work, and still have symptoms after finishing my antibiotics because of how long my sinus infection went on. This is me ADVOCATING for myself because this nurse made me extremely uncomfortable and made me cry - she shouldn't speak to patients the way she did. What if I had a disability and that's why my mom attended the appointment? It doesn't matter the reason, the situation should not have been handled this way. read more

I went to the urgent care facility in Dedham what I felt like was a sinus infection. I informed the provider that I usually got one a year and treating it with an antibiotic has been successful in the past. He told me that he did not want to be that aggressive in treating the infection and instead suggested I buy over the counter sinus rinse and saline. Mind you, this was a week before Christmas, if there's a time to be aggressive, that was it. I voiced my disagreements but to no avail. I waited another day while my sinus pressure continued to throb and finally went to another provider at a different facility that prescribed an antibiotic. The next day I was feeling better and three days later I was good as new. For the visit, I paid my 25 dollar co-pay, three weeks later, they send me another $35 bill. I called the customer service to let them know that I was not going to be paying the bill because of the useless service I received there and became disconnected. I refuse to call back and wait on hold again so I sent an email, I have yet to hear back. read more

Run from this place! Went there because all urgent cares were busy with coughing , spitting , Covid ( insert variant here ) patients, and my pcp also had Covid and office was closed! ( surprise , gasp) So this Convinient place looked big and empty! I strained my back a couple of weeks ago and wanted to make sure my ribs were ok and not subluxated and my spine in tact! In turn I got a diagnosis of "community acquired pneumonia"-- seriously wth, I am in a medical profession and I never had that much bologna thrown in my face without acute laughter! I had 100% psO2 , no respiratory symptoms of any kind, no temperature ! Nothing but back pain under shoulder. The clown who saw me (but didn't even examine me clinically, - I won't mention his name, ) kept telling me with a straight face I have serious pneumonia that will lead to high morbidity/ mortality if I don't immediately proceed with horses doses of 3 potent antibiotics! I asked politely if the clown may have misread my X-ray . To which I was reassured like a dumb sheep that "we do not make mistakes" ! I left dumbfounded and without copy of my record which they said was going to be forwarded to my pcp who happens to be sick and out of office . Long story short I contacted another physician who saw me same day and examined me and said there is no way in hell I have any pneumonia to speak off! The Dr asked me to get the X-ray from the convinient MDcircus , which I did and to my "big surprise" there was no pneumonia ! In fact I had X-ray repeated at another clinic and again - everything was fine , clean! Maybe Convinient MD is getting paid for misdiagnosing patients post Covid scare ? Maybe the $ being paid to these circuses being subsidized to disinform people as it was done during pandemic in hospitals as every ailment was noted as Covid! Or maybe this was an uneducated clown ! I honestly don't care , I am just warning people to be careful of whom you trust these days! Educate yourself and get second opinion from trusted MD ! Took my 5 yr old daughter who fell off her scooter and was bleeding heavily 15 minutes before they closed hoping someone could at least tell me if she needed stitches. Instead there were 4 employees, all on their cell phones sitting down, staring blanking at me, saying "we cannot help you, its almost closing time" Zero compassion, zero care, zero advice on where to go that may be open / able to help us. Terrible experience. Will not go again and recommend anyone to try another urgent care even if a little further away in hopes of getting quality care or, at the very least, someone who cares. read more

Son injured his elbow in an early Saturday game. Looking to get it x-ray'd. Place was empty. Walked in and made to wait 10 minutes. Lady behind the glass said do you have an appointment, we're really busy? I looked at the empty lobby and said you're really busy? She said yes you'll have to make an appointment and come back,. Do you have insurance? I said will just goto an emergency room. She said fine and looked at her computer. We went to nearby Newton Wellsesley Hospital and got right in, no wait. Showed up a half hour before their posted close time. My wife was feeling very very ill. In the 6 years we have been together, this was the first time she had asked me to rush her to a medical facility. Even though we arrived well before the posted close, we were turned away. The staff gave us dagger eyes the moment we pulled into the parking lot. The receptionist rolled her eyes when we described the situation, saying they wanted to go home soon and had several patients already. I'm sure there were a couple of patients in waiting rooms but the lobby was empty. I have never experienced such a lack of compassion from a MEDICAL facility. We weren't there to buy a trinket at a retailer, my wife needed medical attention! If you're not prepared to stay late from time to time, don't become a medical professional. This place is new, hopefully it closes soon so a more respectable urgent care opens in my town. read more
