Loved the atmosphere here! The people were really kind and the view of the mountains were spectacular. They had a great beer selection too. Food was tasty, very large portions (ie fried zucchini was huge) but I thought the BYO pizza price was astronomical. It's $22 base.. and either $3 or $4 even for something like hot honey. We got four toppings for $36, which is much more expensive than all other pizzas. Worst part was we couldn't taste the honey and there were barely pineapples on it. It was also a bummer bc we had to order drinks, app & entree at the counter so it took us awhile to decide. Besides this, we really did have a great time on the patio watching the sunset!

Jalapeño Wontons, delicious! Burgers and fries!!! The best!

Jalapeño Wontons, burgers & fries! The best! We love this place! The staff is great, the establishment is clean, comfortable family-friendly environment!

The food was okay but not worth the money. I paid $12.00 for a 3 ounce glass of wine. What a waste of money. The service was okay. I am still here. If you have a dog, you must sit out in the 98 degree temperature because they are not allowed inside. In the winter, I don't mind leaving my dog in the car. In the summer, I rather bake in the sun with my dog. Don't waste your money on a 3 ounce glass of wine and sitting and baking in the sun. I will not be returning.

I've been to this Great Basin location about half a dozen times now. I love lots about it but still think there's some room for improvement. First things first, the outdoor space and fun family friendly atmosphere can't be beat here. They have the best bar hang out experience ever with a huge property, outdoor games, large indoor and outdoor seating areas, and plenty of food and drink choices for everyone. The service here is decent. You walk up to the counter or kiosk to order and then you get a text when your food is ready and you'll have to walk over to pick it up. Wait times can be long when it's busy, but I've never been unsatisfied with the wait times. I think the biggest area of improvement at GB is the food and drink consistency. Most of the time the drinks here are good, but sometimes GB beer is spotty and other times the cocktails are made inconsistently between bartenders. The food also varies quite a bit. I've had very undercooked burgers and unseasoned chicken tenders from here. But I've also had fantastic pizza and their buffalo chicken Cobb salad is killer. There are a lot of younger employees in the kitchen and I wonder if high turnover or poor training is to blame for inconsistent product. Overall I'll keep coming to this GB location because of its vibe and unbeatable outdoor atmosphere. The food can be up and down but it's been good most of my visits and I'll just stick to the things I know are great. If you haven't been over here yet, make a stop. It's not like the other GB locations and it's worth the visit for sure.

Brewery Pretzel

We've been to Great Basin in different locations and decided to try this one out. You order at the counter or use the QR to place your order. We found a spot inside to eat-- they have a nice outdoor area too. The menu is pretty much the same as the other locations. I was expecting the same quality as the other locations. Felt the pizza didn't have any special taste to it and the Brussels sprouts were a little too heavy on the sauce. The cheese fries were okay. Didn't try the pretzel so can't speak to that one. Maybe it was an off day, I'd be open to try again and see how it goes.

Buffalo Chicken Cobb Salad

Yesterday we went to Great Basin Brewing for lunch. It is a restaurant where you get in line to place your order and they text you when it is ready. They had a fun area outside so if you have little ones they have yard games set up for them to play. We both ordered the Buffalo Chicken Cobb salad. We both really enjoyed the salad. They did not skimp on the chicken, blue cheese and bacon! Also the lettuce mix was plentiful and fresh with lots of cherry tomatoes, onions and a boiled egg. It had very good blue cheese dressing. We were looking at a lot of entrees as they came out of the kitchen and I can't say how the pizza tastes but I want to go back to try it. It looked absolutely delicious!!

One of our local go to spots especially when the sun is shining! Grab an amazing chicken sandwich with a cold brew and enjoy the food and beauty now that spring is here!

Stopped in for a quick pint and snack while we were in the area antiquing. It's a healthy balance we keep, keeping both my husband and me happy! Beers were solid. The menu sounded delicious and we may head back for a meal at some point. We ordered the boneless wings this trip and frankly they just were not good. Thick, hard breading and not much meat or flavor. Bartender was super friendly and helpful. Large dining room, plenty of space for families or a group meet-up.

Burger, pastrami sandwich, BLTA, fish & chips, and the brisket. The Tahoe IPA beer was great. Kids all ordered soft drinks, plenty of refills offered! We all enjoyed our meals, except brisket boy. He was expecting BBQ brisket, but the plate was more of a roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, and veggies. Fish & chips were pretty good, with 2 nice sized chunks of cod. The sandwiches were nice, burger solid! The fries were really good, seemed like fresh cut. When I looked at what others were enjoying, we observed that the wings look to stand out. Next time we'll explore wings & fries....and more beer! Service was attentive and the patio very pleasant!

We went to a casino and got larger portions, better service and the food was cooked perfectly in comparison to the farce you are trying to uphold. I would never do this but the fact you lied and said we had a manager come to our table but we denied it is incredibly wrong. And I hope you are exposed for what type of owner you are.

Even though you are only a block from the Heavenly Gondola, my wife was nice enough to drive to pick me up. So many conveniences. Fairly simple menu that is done well. The beer was good! Got the two best IPA sellers. Angora House WC IPA and Fog Nozzle Hazy IPA. Both of which were smooth, too smooth; I could have drank even more. Well I did, as we went to South of North Brewing for more beer! See other review. I almost got a flight here, just to get it on a ski board. It was very cool; see my pictures. As for lunch, we got the following: Sticky Fried Chicken Sandwich - Made to order. Good quality, but a little small and did not come with fries or chips. In summary, tourist prices, lol. Wings - Pineapple BBQ flavor. Good size wings. Order of 8 for $20; again, tourist prices, lol. Overall the food was good and complimented my beers well. Specials available. Kids menu. Ambiance - Decent size location. The place still looks new; I like your decor. See pictures. Indoor and outdoor seating, see pictures. Cornhole outside. Lounge, table, and bench seating. We sat at the bar for the best service, otherwise it would be counter service as the bartender was the only front of the house employee. After lunch, I opened a tab and we took our beers outside to enjoy the beautiful day and the live music from across the street. Open 7 days a week from Noon to 9pm. Plenty of 2 hour limit mall parking. Well it is the off season now. Events, food trucks, Thursday Trivia, etc - See their website. Service - Good. The bartender did a good job handling both us sitting on the bar and ALL the counter service. And she still had time to let me try a few tasters. Self service water, utensils, etc. Price - $62 + tip. Expensive for what we got. Beers were $9 each. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2003 and 2017 at this location.

If you ask me for places that stand out in the greater Reno-Tahoe region brew scene, The Good Wolf…read morewould be near the top of the list. For years now, I've been saying these guys make some of the best, most unique beers in our area. And anyone looking for a solid pint or some creative things to try, would do well to swing by. Firstly, I absolutely love the location. It's a cozy little spot in the north Truckee industrial area. But step through the doors, and you enter a space that can only be described as a mix of hippy commune and witch's lair, with some delightfully quirky decor, and an incredibly friendly staff. Really does feel like a hidden gem. But as for r the beers themselves; in short, I think these are some of the best quality, and most niche types of brews you'll find around here. They have a smaller menu, but what they have is dominated by their Forest Beer series. These are concoctions made with all sorts of foraged ingredients from the forests, fields, and farms close to Truckee. Always changing, it is something to try out. The Borrowed Bines used fresh cut hops, the Bay Shore uses locally culled bay leaves, the Range of Light uses picked juniper berries, and the Dirt Candy uses mushrooms that grow in the woods. They also have been breaking into brewing their own apple cider, which is delicious but quite strong. Plus, they will usually have N/A options with their house lemonade or brewed soda on tap, too. So yeah, the menu almost certainly has something for everyone. Prices for everything are pretty typical.for the area, usually around $8-9 per pint. Though my one sort of gripe is that the smaller 4-5 ounce tasters are like $4 each, a bit pricier than most other tasters, so that makes it quickly more pricy to try out a lot of their menu. If you want any beers to-go, sadly they only offer a few at this juncture, and in bottles. And there is no food here, just a few snacks for sale. But make sure to browse their swag stands, as they have some eclectic merch. All in all, I definitely encourage any beer fans to come and check this spot out. Been one of my favorites for years, and I'll bet it can easily become one of yours, too. Cheers, all!
